Abstract

Stroke was the second leading cause of death and a major cause of disability worldwide. One of primary challenges in stroke management was patient adherence to treatment, which significantly influences risk of recurrent stroke. This study aimed to analyze relationship between medication adherence among stroke subjects, were stroke patients at Siti Hajar Islamic Hospital, Mataram. This research employed an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected through interviews, a medication adherence questionnaire, and medical records. The Spearman test was used to analyze the relationship between medication adherence and the occurrence of recurrent stroke. The study showed that patient levels of adherence to stroke medication varied, with a portion exhibiting low to moderate adherence. Spearman correlation analysis indicated no significant relationship between medication adherence and recurrent stroke events (p value= 0.359; r= 0.111). The p-value greater than 0.05 suggested that the relationship between the two variables was not statistically significant, although a weak positive correlation was observed. In conclusion, there was no statistically significant association between medication adherence and recurrent stroke in patients at Siti Hajar Islamic Hospital Matarm. These findings suggested that medication adherence might not be only factor influencing stroke recurrence, and further evaluation of other contributing factors is necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of the School Literacy Movement (SLM) on the literacy skills of fifth-grade students, involving a sample of 15 participants. Literacy skills were assessed using the Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA) literacy scores. A quantitative experimental design was employed, utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest approach. Data were collected through interviews with homeroom teachers, followed by pretesting, the implementation of the literacy intervention, and posttesting. Data analysis using SPSS version 22 revealed that the normality test for both pretest and posttest scores yielded p-values of 0.230 and 0.570, respectively, indicating a normal distribution. The Levene’s test for homogeneity of variance produced a p-value of 0.178, confirming homogeneity across the group. The findings showed a 2% increase in students’ average MCA literacy scores after the implementation of the SLM, suggesting a measurable improvement in literacy skills. These results underscore the role of school-based literacy programs in enhancing students' literacy competencies and support the continued development and integration of literacy initiatives in primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in the development of moral education in primary schools as a response to the increasing cases of moral degradation among students. Moral education serves as a fundamental foundation in shaping students' character, ethics, sense of responsibility, and social awareness from an early age. This research employs a literature review method using a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing various relevant national and international journals. The findings indicate that teachers play a strategic role as role models, facilitators, and mentors in the process of internalizing moral values. The application of Albert Bandura’s social cognitive theory forms a crucial basis, emphasizing the importance of learning through observation, imitation, and reinforcement. Approaches such as moral discussions, role-playing, project-based learning, and the use of technology have proven effective in supporting students' character development. The success of moral education is influenced by teacher competence, behavioral consistency, family involvement, and support from the school and community environment. Therefore, strengthening teachers’ professional capacity through continuous training and multi-stakeholder collaboration becomes a key factor in nurturing morally grounded students in the modern era.

Abstract

The ultra petitum partiumis a principle that doesn’t allow judge to make verdicts on unrequested or over-demanding cases. In divorcement cases, ithas limited the authority of the judge in giving verdicts to grant women's rights. The existence of a Supreme Court Circular Letter (SEMA) on number 3 of 2018 strengthened by PERMA on number 3 of 2017 concerning The Guidelines for Prosecuting Women Facing the Law opens a gap for judges to consider this principle. The type of this research is empirical legal research. The data obtained through field research and qualitative descriptive. The primary data sources in this study were collected through observations, and judges interview in the Metro Religious Courts. The secondary data sources are acquired from library (legislation and certain related books). The data analysis method conducted in 3 stages, 1. Collecting the data, 2.Restating the statement, and 3. Connecting the datawith existed theories. The results shows that the Metro Religious Court Judges still override the existence of a Supreme Court Circular (SEMA) number 3 of 2018 because it is only limited to the formulation of rooms that are not binding as legislations. It is may also be applied or ignored.

Abstract

The self-assessment system in which the taxpayer performs the calculation, payment, and tax reporting by the taxpayer itself risks tax avoidance practices. To minimize this risk, the Directorate General of Taxation carries out law enforcement in the framework of supervision through tax audit activities. This study aims to analyze the effect of the effectiveness of the inspection on tax avoidance practices by using a moderated political connection because it is suspected that companies with a political link tend to be more aggressive in terms of tax planning. This study uses panel data of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2018. The study results conclude that tax audits effectiveness has a significant effect on tax avoidance practices, which means that the more influential the tax audit activities are, the lower the tax avoidance level.

Abstract

The increase in electronic trading transactions, both through market places and trade transactions with goods and services originating from abroad, poses its own challenges in tax collection. Trading through the Electronic System (PMSE) on intangible taxable goods and taxable services originating from outside the customs area and utilized within the customs area has been regulated by the government. However, the administration of VAT collection carried out is still conventional by providing collection obligations to overseas entrepreneurs who have exceeded significant trade limits in Indonesia. With the use of Virtual Private Network (VPN) facilities, it is as if the consumer of goods or services in Indonesia is someone who resides or consumes his goods in another country. By means of a simulation, this research shows that with this VPN the potential for digital VAT receipts from Indonesia will be lost and/or the VAT receipts will appear as if they were receipts from other countries' digital taxes.

Abstract

In administering the Village Budget, one of the village treasurer's obligations is compliance with the tax obligations, including value-added tax (VAT). The concept of VAT collection by the village treasurer differs from the general mechanism where sellers of goods or services confirmed as taxable entrepreneurs are VAT collectors. The village treasurer's mechanism for collecting VAT is unique; the village treasurer requests a bill that includes the amount of VAT owed from the partner taxable entrepreneurs. Village treasurer compliance in carrying out tax obligations still needs to improve. From previous research, the factors influencing village treasurer tax compliance are low awareness and level of tax knowledge and the assumption that taxes are complicated. By using the qualitative descriptive approach, this study aims to explain how to manage finances, especially in collecting VAT, depositing VAT payable that has been collected, and reporting VAT. This study reveals that VAT administration is more straightforward than some village treasurers assume.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how MSME actors in Palembang, South Sumatra, perceive MSME credit or financing that the government provides to MSME actors, especially at the micro level. This study uses questionnaires to obtain the perceptions of MSME actors towards MSME financing. The respondents of this study were MSME actors who participated in the “Beli Kreatif Sumatera Selatan (BKSS)” activity, a collaborative program of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy with several stakeholders, one of which is the Ministry of Finance. The results of the questionnaires are then presented descriptively. Based on the questionnaire processing results, several things need attention, especially from MSME financing policymakers. The aspects that received the lowest assessment were regarding the equalization of credit to all levels of MSMEs and the amount of loans offered in the financing. In open questions, most respondents also expect interest-free Sharia financing. This study focuses on exploring the perceptions of MSME actors on financing or debt, which, for most MSMEs, is very difficult to access, especially at the micro level. The study results are expected to improve the design of MSME financing by the government.
