Abstract

This study aims to describe the distribution of zakat by BAZNAS Bandung Raya based on the perspective of maqashid sharia, which includes five main dimensions: protecting religion, soul, mind, descendants, and property. The method used is a descriptive-quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires to 62 amil zakat from five BAZNAS in the Bandung Raya area. The results of the study indicate that in general the distribution of zakat is in the high category, with the largest allocation in the aspect of protecting descendants and mind through education programs and social assistance. The zakat distribution model is carried out in two forms, namely consumptive and productive. The implications of this finding emphasize the importance of reformulating the zakat distribution strategy to be more proportional to all dimensions of maqashid sharia, as well as the need to strengthen institutions and use information technology in zakat management. This study provides theoretical contributions to the study of Islamic economics and becomes a practical reference for zakat institutions to increase the effectiveness and social impact of zakat distribution in society.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials taught at Tadika Bijak Lestari Penang, Malaysia, determine their effectiveness, and determine which variables support or hinder efforts to increase students' intrinsic learning desires. The research location was Tadika Bijak Lestari in Malaysia. Using in-depth interviews with the principal and class instructors as data sources, this qualitative technique employed a case study approach. Participants could be observed, interviews could be conducted, and notes could be kept as data collection techniques. According to this study, the learning strategies used were lectures, memorization, and basic interactive activities. However, research shows that student interest and engagement in learning are negatively impacted by the prevalence of lecture techniques. The availability of adequate educational facilities and certain student learning motivations are factors that facilitate the implementation of learning, but limited diversity of approaches and teachers' difficulties in adapting learning strategies are inhibiting factors. This study shows that Tadika Bijak Lestari Malaysia has successfully implemented various Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching strategies effectively. To achieve progress in this area, new approaches to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that are more creative, flexible, and contextual are needed. By adapting creative techniques to the needs of early childhood, it is hoped that this will increase their enthusiasm for learning, which in turn will make the Islamic Religious Education learning process more relevant in building religious values and holistic personality.

Abstract

The growing phenomenon of sharing travel reviews online has become a key focus in urban tourism destination marketing. This study aims to analyze the influence of tourist perception and tourist experience on positive electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) regarding the Pantai Indah Kapuk tourist destination. The sample consists of 205 tourists who visited Pantai Indah Kapuk within the past year and are active social media users, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results indicate that both tourist perception and tourist experience have a positive and significant effect on positive e-WOM. Among the two, tourist experience emerged as the most dominant factor in encouraging positive e-WOM. The analysis using SEM-PLS revealed that both tourist perception (path coefficient = 0.232; p = 0.001) and tourist experience (path coefficient = 0.479; p = 0.000) positively and significantly influence positive e-WOM, with tourist experience as the most dominant factor. Theoretically, this study reinforces the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior in digital tourism contexts. The research is limited to one urban destination and respondents who are mostly young and active on social media. Future studies are recommended to cover broader destinations, include more diverse tourist segments, and apply a longitudinal design to capture behavioral dynamics over time These findings suggest that destination managers should focus not only on branding narratives but also on enhancing the overall tourist experience through improved facilities, engaging events, and effective social media engagement strategies.
