Abstract

The world is presently undergoing a fourth industrial revolution. Artificial intelligence, supercomputers, genetic engineering, nanotechnology, autonomous transportation, and innovation. This study investigated the impact of an interactive E-module as an innovative English learning tool for D3 Dental Engineering students during the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This study employed a quasi-experimental methodology, incorporating both experimental and control groups. The sample consisted of 56 students, including first-semester students from the D3 Dental Engineering and D3 Midwifery programs, totalling 28 students. The findings demonstrated that the implementation of interactive E-modules as an innovative approach to English learning during the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era had a significant effect, as evidenced by the higher average posttest score of D3 Dental Engineering students (M = 72.86; SD = 10.752) compared to that of D3 Midwifery students (M = 63.75; SD = 12.143). Implementing an interactive E-module significantly influences English learning outcomes for first-semester students. This research emphasizes the necessity of interactive E-modules as an innovative approach to students in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, highlighting the need for more effective learning methods. The implication of interactive e-module is digitally delivered learning materials designed to enhance engagement and interactivity.

Abstract

Climate change is the phenomenon of changes in global temperature, seasonality and erratic rainfall that have an impact on human activities, changing people's lives, etc. The climate may threaten rice farming income. This research was conducted in Trawas village, Mojokerto district using survey method and purposive sampling using certain criteria. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively regarding perceptions and logistic regression to determine the factors that influence climate change adaptation practices undertaken by farmers. The results of the study based on farmers' perceptions show that 67% of rice farmers feel climate change such as changes in the rainy season (2.76), dry season and rainy season (2.64), air temperature (2.63), the length of the rainy season (2.69), pest and disease attacks (2.79), while the length of the dry season has changed slightly (2.46) with the biggest impact is the increase in pest and disease attacks in the longer rainy season. Socioeconomic factors that positively significantly influence climate change adaptation decisions are education, land status, counseling, and weather information, while the negative and significant effect is the number of family members. These findings imply that farmers, community organizations, and the government must be aware of climate change to reduce the impact of losses on the rice farming sector. Farmers will greatly benefit from the process of farmer adaptation, group involvement, and climate policies from the government such as the provision of drought and flood resistant cultivars, early warning systems, facilities and infrastructure such as improved extension, subsidized superior varieties, fertilizers, and pompanization.

Abstract

One of Perum Bulog's efforts to maintain price stability and food availability is distributing its products through the "Rumah Pangan Kita" (RPK) partnership. However, in 2022, it was recorded that most of RPK's partners would no longer run their businesses. It is suspected that this happened because the income obtained did not match the expectations of fundamental food traders. This research aims to analyze the influence of the RPK partnership factor on the income of fundamental food traders, which is calculated through Return on Asset analysis (ROA) in Malang. The sample used in this study consisted of 30 respondents and was analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. The results showed that the variables of cooperation and commitment had a significant influence on the ROA of grocery traders in Malang. Other variables do not have a significant influence. The implications of this research highlight the importance of strengthening cooperation and commitment within the RPK partnership program to improve the profitability of fundamental food traders. Moreover, the findings suggest that communication and openness, while not significantly impactful in this study, should not be overlooked but optimized as supporting factors to enhance the overall partnership effectiveness.

A quantitative survey method was employed, involving 100 students, with 50 from urban schools and 50 from rural schools. Data were analyzed using t-tests and multiple linear regression. The results show that urban students and teachers had more positive perceptions of physical education, with mean scores of 4.2 and 4.5, compared to 3.5 and 3.8 in rural schools (t = 5.67, p < 0.001). Daily participation rates were higher among urban students (40%) compared to rural students (20%). Urban students were primarily motivated by health benefits (50%), while rural students were motivated by recreational and social aspects (40%). Recommendations include developing culturally relevant curricula, improving rural school infrastructure, providing teacher training, fostering community involvement, and integrating technology to enhance access and participation.
