Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi (1) tingkat capaian UU no. 14 tahun 2005 tentang guru dan dosen, (2) beban mengajar guru SMK yang telah disertifikasi, dan (3) dampak sertifikasi ter-hadap kinerja guru di mata masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang di-gunakan deskriptif, populasi sebanyak 954 orang guru, sampel di-pilih sebanyak 247 orang dengan teknik random sampling. Data di-kumpulkan dengan angket dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik des-kriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) secara umum guru SMK telah memenuhi kriteria UU No. 14 Tahun 2005 ten-tang Guru dan Dosen; (2) sebagian besar guru SMK telah mem-peroleh beban mengajar yang sesuai dengan yang ditetapkan peme-rintah yaitu 24 jam tatap muka, dan (3) secara umum dampak serti-fikasi relatif kecil terhadap kinerja guru, namun cukup baik ter-hadap kesejahteraan guru kejuruan. Kata kunci: evaluasi, sertifikasi, kinerja guru SMK        ______________________________________________________________PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL'S CERTIFIED TEACHERS IN WEST SUMATRAAbstract This study was aimed to evaluate the achievement level of: (1) Law no. 14 of 2005 on teachers and lecturers, (2) the teaching load of vocational school teachers who have been certified, and (3) the impact of certification on the teachers' performance. The research used descriptive method. The population comprised 954 teachers, and sample of 247 people were selected with a random sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive techniques. The study found (1) the general vocational teachers had met the criteria of the law no. 14 of 2005 on teachers and lecturers. (2) the majority of teachers had acquired vocational teaching load in accordance with the government's full 24-hour face-to-face, and (3) in general, the impact of certification is relatively little on the performance of certified teachers, but good enough for the welfare of vocational teachers. Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to conduct a meta-analysis of research findings regarding the impact of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on students' thinking skills.Method – This study employs a meta-analytic approach, where data is collected from previous studies that examine the impact of PjBL on students' cognitive thinking skills, use diverse samples in terms of educational contexts and levels, and Integrate findings from previous research to obtain a quantitative perspective on the effect of PjBL. The study employs a meta-analysis method using the random effect Restricted Maximum Likelihood model. A total of 25 articles from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases were analyzed. Publication bias was tested using funnel plot, Egger's test, and Fail-safe N test to ensure data reliability.Findings – The results of the meta-analysis showed that the effect size analyzed comprehensively in all articles obtained a value of 0.223, with a confidence interval value determined at 95%, the estimated upper value of the effect size obtained was 0.377 and the lower limit value was 0.069. The results of the study revealed a significant difference in the mean effect size at the school level between junior high schools, high schools, and higher education. The data used in this study were also free from bias as stated in the results of the funnel plot statistical test, Egger's test, and the Fail-safe N test. Based on these findings which were analyzed holistically, it can be concluded that PjBL can improve students' thinking skills in the learning process. Research Implications – These findings provide empirical evidence that PjBL can be used as an effective teaching strategy to enhance students' thinking skills. This study supports the development of structured project-based educational practices to achieve more optimal cognitive outcomes.

Abstract

Philosophy is a comprehensive truth that is often contested with the truth of science which is relative in nature. This article discusses the influence of the philosophy of education on learning strategies on the Education Technology of Teaching. (PTK). The philosophy of education is the one used in the study of educational problems. Philosophy will determine where our students want to be carried. The philosophy is a tool of values that leads and guides towards the achievement of educational goals. Therefore, the philosophy followed by a particular nation or group of people or by individuals (in this case Teachers) will greatly influence the educational objectives to be achieved. The application of educational philosophy in PTK not only enhances the technical aspects but also builds individuals who have ethical integrity, interpersonal skills and readiness to face the dynamics of global industry. In this case there is the influence of the philosophy of education on learning strategies in the education of professional technology

Abstract

This study aims to measure the extent of the level of success and mastery of students against competencies in learning Automotive Electronics by using experimental methods. The subjects in this study were students of the Automotive Electronics Electricity course with a sample size of 30 students consisting of control class (class A) and experimental class (class B) as primary data. The data analysis technique is the analysis requirement test, namely the normality test using the SPSS program with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the homogeneity test, then the Independent T-Test is then carried out to measure the extent of the level of success and mastery of students against competencies in learning Automotive Electronics. Based on the data that has been obtained, the evaluation of student learning outcomes with the UNP e-learning-based blended learning approach is able to measure the extent of the success rate and mastery of students of competencies in learning Automotive Electronics so that it can provide an overview for lecturers to plan learning strategies in other lessons

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesiapan profesional guru mata pelajaran produktif ketika melaksanakan kurikulum merdeka di sekolah kejuruan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan. Penggunaan metode ini disesuaikan dengan tujuan utama penelitian. Mata pelajaran produktif merupakan mata pelajaran yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan siswa di sekolah kejuruan. Siswa pada umumnya harus menguasai pelajaran ini dengan baik karena menentukan bidang keahliannya ketika memasuki lapangan, untuk melaksanakan magang kerja industri, atau untuk dunia kerja. Oleh karena itu pembelajaran mata pelajaran produktif ini harus dilakukan secara efektif dan efisien. Akan tetapi, berdasarkan observasi awal pada siswa kelas XI menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa rendah karena hanya 10% yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal yang ditetapkan di sekolah yaitu 75. Model, metode dan strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan siswa tidak sesuai dengan karakter siswa, sehingga mereka tidak dapat memahami materi dengan baik sehingga berdampak pada hasil belajar yang diperolehnya.

Abstract

This research was based on the demands of the 21st century in which teachers should have 4 skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication). Teachers are required to change the way of teaching that initially (teacher-centered) turns into (student-centered) and able to participate to follow the development of technology. Therefore, E-book learning is needed that can present material pedagogy integrated with kolb learning and 4C's. This research aims to produce the final product in the form of valid e-book media learning, practical and effective in pedagogy subject. This was a research and development (Research and Development) research. This development research used ADDIE development model consisting of 5 stages which were Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Based on the results, e-book validation testing conducted by three validators, it obtained Aiken's score 0.9 with a valid category. The test results practicalities of the teachers and the students were 86% in the practical category. The effectiveness test results was 89.65%. Thus, it can be concluded that this research has produced a pedagogical e-book which is valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Analyze the learning process to obtain information on the needs of lecturers and students as well as expectations in learning pedagogy, 2) analyze the learning styles of students by knowing each learning style of each student, 3) Analysis the learning models such as what was developed that can teach students according to the learning styles of each student. The research method used was a survey method. The data were collected by using questionnaires, interviews and observations. The results of this research obtained the level of mastery of the current pedagogical competence of students and the type of learning style of each student that illustrated the characteristics of their learning style. Then, the model used in the development of learning planning was the learning model of learning that can learn students according to the learning style of students so as creating the activeness of students in learning, critical thinking, creative, communicative and collaborative.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the effectiveness of e-modules based on Project Based Learning on Visual Programming. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method and the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model. The research sample were students who were divided into the experimental class and the control class in the Visual Programming. Data analysis was obtained from the results of the posttest and then an analysis was carried out in the form of normality test, homogeneity test and t test. The results of the tests conducted in the control class consisting of 17 students obtained posttest results with an average value of 81.67% and the results of tests conducted in the experimental class consisting of 16 students get the results of the test with an average score of 86 , 54%. Based on prerequisite tests, data analysis, normal, homogeneous experimental research and the use of e-modules this results in significant differences between the control and experimental classes. Based on the results of the posttest and data analysis prerequisite test, it can be concluded that the e-module based on Project Based Learning that is used has been effective.

Abstract

Skills in the world of work become demands that must be fulfilled by every education practitioner. Vocational education graduates produced by tertiary institutions do not have maximum competencies that are ready to be used for work, so there is often a gap between the competencies desired by graduates and the competencies produced by the education world. Educational literacy is needed to overcome this gap, one of them is by developing work-based learning models in midwifery vocational education. This study aims to analyze the needs of midwifery graduates, midwifery graduates 'recognition and midwifery lecturers' views on the general competency aspects of midwife graduates and work skills. This study involved five obstetricians from various institutions, five graduates working in various health institutions and five lecturers from various midwifery institutions. The results of the needs analysis showed that the low evaluation of midwifery users regarding the aspects of general competence and work skills of midwives in one year of work, so that the development of work-based learning models in midwifery education is very necessary to equate the desires of graduate users with the graduates produced. Furthermore, the resulting model will be tested effectively, valid and practical so that graduates can compete in the world of work.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce an e-module based on a self-directed learning model that was valid, practical and effective and was able to help students learn independently and understand SMAW manual arc welding theory. This study is a Reset and Development (R&D) study which refers to the ADDIE instructional development model. ADDIE development procedures namely Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of this Research and Development produced a valid learning e-module based on the evaluation of material expert validators who declared valid and the material expert validators who declared valid. The practicality of using e-module was known from the use of e-module that going well and the results of students and teachers responses from questionnaire statements were high practicality. The results of the effectiveness were known from the increase in the students' understanding of subject and the test results of the difference between pre-test and post-test results of the application of this e-module were quite effective category. Based on this study, a learning e-module for SMAW Manual Arc Welding based on the Self Directed Learning model had produced. this was valid, practical and effective for use in learning and can improve the theoretical understanding of SMAW Manual Arc Welding subject.
