Kemampuan berpikir reflektif adalah kemampuan yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Data menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa masih di bawah ekspektasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi direct instruction dalam pembelajaran matematika terkait dengan kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas 8A dan guru matematika yang mengajar di salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif jenis fenomenologis. Peneliti bertindak sebagai instrumen utama, dan data dikumpulkan melalui lembar tes kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa serta wawancara dengan siswa dan guru. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa masih rendah karena mereka hanya fokus pada masalah contoh yang diberikan oleh guru dan tidak mengeksplorasi pengetahuan secara mandiri. Proses pembelajaran belum efektif mendukung perkembangan keterampilan berpikir reflektif siswa, karena mereka hanya memenuhi indikator elaborating, sementara indikator reacting dan contemplating belum terpenuhi dengan baik. Penerapan model pembelajaran interaksi langsung dapat digunakan sebagai solusi alternatif dengan mempertimbangkan kelebihan dan kekurangan model tersebut serta situasi dan kondisi siswa yang diajarkan. The reflective thinking ability is a very essential ability in mathematics learning. Data shows that students' mathematical reflective thinking skills are below expectations. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of direct interaction in mathematics learning related to students' reflective thinking skills. Subjects of this study were all students of class 8A and mathematics teachers who taught at one of the junior high schools in Bandung. The method used is a qualitative approach of the phenomenological type. The researcher served as the main instrument, and data was collected through test sheets on students' reflective thinking abilities and interviews with students and teachers. The results show that students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities are still low because they only focus on sample problems given by the teacher and do not explore knowledge independently. The learning process hasn't effectively supported the development of students' reflective thinking skills, as they only meet the elaboration indicators, while the indicators of reacting and contemplating are not properly fulfilled. The application of the direct intraction learning model can be used as an alternative solution by considering the advantages and disadvantages of the model as well as the situation and conditions of the students being taught.

Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika dalam pada materi barisan dan deret. Agar diperoleh hasil dan pembahasan yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, maka dilakukan analisis terhadap setiap indikator pemahaman matematis untuk mengetahui indikator mana saja yang mengalami kesulitan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kualitatif dan deskriptif. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa Kelas X pada salah satu SMA di kota Bandung yang berjumlah 31 orang. Tes dan wawancara berfungsi sebagai instrumen penelitian.Pada tahap reduksi data, peneliti merangkum dan mengklasifikasikan data. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa masuk dalam kategori cukup yaitu sebesar 54,8%. Indikator kemampuan memahami konsep matematika yang paling tinggi adalah indikator merepresentasikan konsep dalam berbagai bentuk representasi matematika. Sedangkan indikator kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika yang paling rendah adalah kecepatan penggunaan dan pemilihan prosedur atau operasi tertentu.

Improving problem-solving in mathematics education can be achieved by applying a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach that prioritizes active student involvement. This research offers a PBL model that is integrated with digital technology to improve students' problem-solving skills more effectively and efficiently. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the problem-based learning model in improving the problem-solving ability of junior high school seventh-grade students. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design of the control group. The research sample consisted of 66 randomly selected seventh-grade students. The selection of 66 students as a research sample was carried out to ensure adequate representativeness, taking into account the diversity of academic backgrounds and problem-solving skills, so that the results of the study can accurately describe the impact of the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on various levels of student ability. The instruments used include problem-solving ability tests berjumlah 5 soal and observation sheets for learning activities. The data analysis technique used was the Mann Whitney to see the difference in improvement from the two groups of research samples. The results showed that students' mathematical problem-solving skills experienced a high improvement (Ngain = 0.813) after learning mathematics using problem-based learning. Furthermore, the implementation of the problem-based learning model significantly improves students' mathematical problem-solving skills. These findings indicate that open-ended problem-based learning is one of the effective alternative interventions in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Therefore, educators in the field of mathematics, such as teachers and lecturers, can use open-ended problem-based learning to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This study aims to describe the students’ error in solving mathematical literacy problems with focused on level 3 and 4 based on PISA 2015. Qualitative research was used in this study with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were 61 students at seventh grade consisted of 28 students from SMPN 14 Bandung and 33 students from SMPN 9 Bandung. The instrument consisted of four questions designed and interview guidelines. Data were analyzed descriptively based on written test results and interviews to confirm students’ work. The results of this study showed that 65.3% of students made mistakes in solving mathematical literacy level 3 and 73.68% of students made mistakes in solving mathematical literacy level 4. Students’ error that arise in solving these mathematical literacy problems are understanding the problem and choosing the information to get a solution. Based on the results, researcher suggest that the preparation of sentences in the mathematical literacy problem, it should be emphasized with the precise sentences, so that the purpose of the problem is well understood by students. This study aims to analyze the errors of students with HOTS abilities at high, medium and low levels and identify student errors in solving HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) type questions in terms of gender. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. The research subjects were selected 3 male students and 3 female students, each of which the HOTS ability level was high, medium and low consisting of 2 students. Data collection techniques used HOTS-type tests and interviews. The analytical framework was developed based on Newman's theory of error categories. The data obtained were tested for validity through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The results showed several differences in the types and percentages of errors made by male and female subjects in solving HOTS-type questions. The biggest mistakes made by both genders in the material of number patterns, sequences, and series are misunderstandings of 33.33%, followed by errors in determining the final answer of 23.02%, transformation errors of 22.22%, errors in the completion process of 20.63%, and finally, reading errors of 0.79%. It can be seen that the female gender makes more mistakes by 57.14% compared to the male gender by 41.86%.

Mathematics learning activities in schools tend to emphasize students to be able to solve problems with existing formulas. Likewise, teachers who pay less attention to and practice various problem-solving strategies. Thus, students are less able to express their thinking processes. This study aims to determine the students' mathematical thinking processes in solving mathematical problem-solving problems given. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with research subjects consisting of 6 students of class X Social Sciences SMA Islam Plus Adzkia Medan selected by purposive sampling method. The data collection technique was carried out using research instruments in the form of a description test which amounted to 3 questions and interviews. The results showed that the thinking processes used by students in solving problems were different. There are several problem-solving strategies used by students as a form of their thinking process. In the first question, there are three strategies used by students, namely act it out (conducting experiments), logical thinking, and different points of view. In the second question, all students used the strategy of registering all the possible answers that were explained directly or using the strategy of making tables. For the third question, there are two thinking strategies, namely by using formulas and strategies to find patterns. However, it was also found that there were still students who had inappropriate thinking processes.

Mathematical reflective thinking ability is one of the higher-level abilities that can support other mathematical thinking skills. Therefore, ensuring students have good mathematical reflective thinking skills is essential. This study aimed to analyze students' mathematical reflective thinking skills (KBRMS) on the material of a two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV). This research approach is qualitative with a phenomenological type. Data collection techniques were carried out through reflective thinking skills tests and interviews. The study subjects were grade VIII junior high school students who had studied SPLDV material using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data display, conclusions, and verification. This mathematical reflective thinking ability analysis is based on indicators of mathematical reflective thinking ability, namely reacting, elaborating, and contemplating. The results of this study show that students can master reacting and elaborating indicators when faced with problems they usually encounter. In contrast, for contemplating indicators, students still experience difficulties when faced with problems different from those traditionally exemplified, such as difficulties in understanding problems and determining the concept of the material used. Based on this, it is shown that students' mathematical reflective thinking skills have not been fulfilled optimally.

Media belajar berbasis games merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yang cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan antusias belajar siswa. Games memiliki karakteristik yang menarik bagi siswa, seperti adanya unsur kompetisi, tantangan, dan unsur hiburan. Karakteristik tersebut dapat membuat siswa terlibat secara aktif dalam pembelajaran dan termotivasi untuk menyelesaikan tugas-tugas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah media pembelajaran berbasis games efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan antusias belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data dari wawancara, observasi, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2023 di salah satu SMP di Cimahi. Subjek yang diambil yaitu siswa kelas IX-F yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang berisi pertanyaan tentang bagaimana tanggapan siswa terhadap media pembelajaran dan bagaimana antusias siswa dalam belajar. Data diolah dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan suatu kejadian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan media belajar berbasis games dapat meningkatkan antusias belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya motivasi belajar dan minat belajar siswa. Motivasi dan minat belajar siswa dapat meningkat karena siswa merasa pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan menantang. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan media belajar berbasis games dapat menjadi cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan antusias belajar siswa. Namun, dalam penggunaannya, perlu diperhatikan beberapa hal, seperti kesesuaian konten games dengan materi pembelajaran, tingkat kesulitan games, dan karakteristik siswa.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa sulit untuk mempelajari materi persamaan kuadrat. Pendekatan yang dipilih berdasarkan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan subjeknya berjumalh 35 siwa dari kelas IX-F SMPN 3 Cimahi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes persamaan kuadrat dan survey dalam bentuk Google Form. Analisis data yang digunakan yakni menyajikan informasi dan menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang membuat siswa kesulitan dalam mempelajari materi persamaan kuadrat adalah: 1) kurangnya pemahaman konsep; 2) kesalahan operasi matematika; 3) kurang fokus dan kesiapan saat pembelajaran; dan 4) media dan model pembelajaran yang kurang tepat.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, mengevaluasi, dan mengukur tingkat kemampuan peserta didik kelas X di salah satu SMAN di Bandung untuk memecahkan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kemampuan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika, terutama pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel. Studi ini melibatkan 29 peserta didik. Setiap peserta didik hanya diminta untuk menjawab satu dari dua soal uraian yang terdiri dari instrumen penelitian.Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik memiliki kemampuan yang rendah untuk memecahkan masalah matematis. Analisis data menemukan pola kekuatan dan kelemahan dalam pemahaman dan penerapan konsep matematika dalam konteks pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel. Temuan ini dapat membantu mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efisien untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik kelas X di salah satu SMAN di Bandung untuk memecahkan masalah matematis.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the level of mathematical proficiency among tenth-grade students at a high school in Bandung, Indonesia, with a focus on solving mathematical problems. The research aims to measure students' abilities in solving mathematical problems, particularly those related to linear inequalities with one variable. The study involved 29 students, each of whom was required to respond to one of two essay questions comprising the research instrument.The research findings indicate that students have a low proficiency in solving mathematical problems. Data analysis revealed patterns of strengths and weaknesses in understanding and applying mathematical concepts in the context of linear inequalities with one variable. These findings can contribute to the development of more efficient teaching strategies aimed at improving the mathematical problem-solving abilities of tenth-grade students at a high school in Bandung
