Abstract

This study aims to find out to determine the form of social network for Grouper (Epinephelus sp.) fishermen in Untia Fisherman Village, Makassar City before the Covid-19 pandemic period and to determine the ability of Grouper (Epinephelus sp.) fishermen in building social networks. during the covid-19 pandemic in the Untia Fisherman's Village, Makassar City. This study uses descriptive qualitative and data collection techniques are observation and interviews using questionnaires. The sampling technique used snowball sampling with a total sample of 10 people. This research was conducted in March-April 2021 in Untia Fisherman's Village, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City with data analysis methods, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, leveraging and affirmation of conclusions (drawing conclusions and verification). The results of this study indicate that (1) there are three forms of fishermen's social networks, namely vertical social networks, vertical social networks and diagonal social networks (2) The ability of fishermen to build social networks is still quite low.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the condition and management of the Laguna beach tourist destination and describe the socio-economic impact of Laguna beach tourism on the social changes of the people of Pao-Pao Village, Tanete Rilau District, Barru Regency. This research was conducted in January-February 2022. The sampling method used was the purvosive sampling method with the following criteria, informants and the entire community who were considered to know in-depth information and problems and could be trusted as valid data sources and were willing to be interviewed. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. In Laguna beach tourism there are socio-economic impacts that affect the survival of the community which are felt by managers, traders/business actors and the local community, where the social impact on Laguna beach tourism, the community experiences changes in people's thinking patterns in responding to education and the times so that social interaction develops. over time, but it can still be monitored and overcome if it is negative and the economic impact that occurs, the community can open a business/sell-sell so as to increase their income. In improving the social welfare of the community, it can be done by developing lagoon beach tourism with the support of good facilities and infrastructure, cleanliness and safety as well as socio-economic impacts that provide social change for the community, whether it is a decent and harmonious life, even though the changes require a long period of time.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menumbuhkan minat dan meningkatkan kemampuan berwirausaha untuk alumni dan mahasiswa dalam budidaya tanaman dengan memanfaatkan alat pengukuran fisika. Masa tunggu yang lama untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan bisa menjadi beban psikologis bagi lulusan baru. Oleh karena itu, Program Studi Fisika Fakultas Sains dan Teknik Universitas Nusa Cendana (FST Undana) menawarkan pelatihan budidaya tanaman untuk alumni dan mahasiswa. Pelatihan ini berfokus pada penggunaan alat ukur fisika untuk mengukur sifat fisis tanah guna mengoptimalkan potensi budidaya tanaman. Pelatihan mencakup presentasi materi, diskusi, dan praktek langsung terkait budidaya tanaman menggunakan alat pengukuran fisika. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini dievaluasi melalui pertanyaan survei yang diberikan kepada peserta. Jawaban dari hasil survei menunjukkan pelatihan ini berhasil dijalankan dengan sangat baik. Selain itu, umpan balik dari peserta menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi untuk terlibat dalam budidaya tanaman dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berwirausaha.

Abstract

The neo-Salafi movement Wahdah Islamiyah plays a significant role in shaping the religious identity of the urban Muslim middle class in South Sulawesi and Gorontalo. This research aims to review how Wahdah Islamiyah influences urban Muslim communities, leading to a high interest in religious studies and community education organized by this religious organization. The research method used is field research. This method was chosen because the researcher intends to gain clarity on a local and current event under study. This research concludes that Wahdah Islamiyah successfully manages its organization (framing) as a social movement to enhance its appeal to the public. Wahdah Islamiyah bridges or mediates the views between conservative-traditionalist Salafis and a more modern, open organizational management concept similar to Muhammadiyah. Wahdah Islamiyah adopts an organizational development concept through modern education by establishing Islamic schools, universities, social care institutions, and philanthropic organizations. The success of Wahdah Islamiyah’s framing gives the impression of an Islamic organization relatively open to modernity, yet still rooted in puritanical Islamic values like the Salafis, especially regarding fundamental religious issues such as aqidah (creed) and sharia (Islamic law). This religious model has proven to attract the Muslim middle class in South Sulawesi and Gorontalo.

Abstract

The downstream oil and gas sector contributes significantly to CO2 emissions, particularly from steam methane reforming (SMR), which produces 4.33 tCO2e/kbbl of crude oil processed. This study investigates the technical and economic feasibility of utilizing CO2 from SMR tail gas to produce methanol. The process simulation was conducted using Aspen HYSYS v12, modeling the methanol synthesis process through the hydrogenation of CO2 with hydrogen (H2) sourced from the Naphtha Reforming Unit. Results from the simulation indicate an optimal methanol yield of 81.16% at 235°C and 50 bar, producing 70 tons/hour (612 KTA) of methanol with a purity of 99.85% wt. The economic analysis reveals an IRR of 8.04%, an NPV of -26.5 million USD, and a pay-out time (POT) of 22 years, showing that the project is not yet economically feasible under current conditions. Sensitivity analysis highlights that methanol selling price and production capacity are the most critical factors impacting the project's viability, where a 20% increase in methanol price or production capacity could significantly improve IRR above the hurdle rate of 10.83%. This study provides insight into the potential of CO2 utilization for methanol production, contributing to emission reduction and product diversification in refineries. Further optimization of feedstock costs and integration with downstream products like MTBE could enhance economic feasibility.

Abstract

A reliance on official sources and a tendency to reinforce established narratives characterize mainstream media representations of political elites. This study seeks to analyze how Sediksi, as an alternative media, interprets political elites. Through critical discourse analysis, it examines how hegemony and inequality are reproduced through language, especially from the perspective of marginalized groups. This study shows that alternative media provides a critical lens that challenges dominant elite representations. By using satirical language, alternative media interpret elites as dwarfed by various associations with incompetence, ignorance, corruption, deceit, and marginalized communities. Alternative media not only provides space for criticism of political elites, but also empowers the public to challenge the narratives imposed by dominant forces. By amplifying marginalized voices, alternative media encourages collective resistance and builds public awareness by presenting issues that people often face in their daily lives. This study argues that alternative media is capable of creating more inclusive interpretations and siding with marginalized perspectives.

Abstract

Storytelling in elementary education often faces challenges in engaging students and enhancing their appreciation. Innovative teaching media can address these issues effectively. This study aims to analyze  the impact of Powtoon-based animated video media on students' appreciation of storytelling in a third-grade classroom at SD. The research employed a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design, involving 27 students aged 11 to 12 years across 12 learning sessions. Data were collected using pretests and posttests, and were analyzed through data management, statistical analysis, and result interpretation. The results showed a significant increase in the average score from 52.03 on the pretest to 79.44 on the posttest following the Powtoon intervention. Inferential analysis using a t-test revealed a significant difference with a t-value of -8.859 and a critical t-value of 1.705 at a 5% significance level, supporting the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis that Powtoon has a positive effect on students' storytelling appreciation. These findings suggest that Powtoon has potential as an effective educational media for enhancing students' interest and skills in storytelling, thereby supporting the use of technology in education to create a more engaging learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the obligations of the Cirebon Regency Education Office on the decision of the Cirebon Regency Regional Information Commission Number 002/VI/KIKC-PS-A/2018 on the completeness of public documents in Cirebon Regency. The form of the completeness of the requested public documents in the form of a request for a hardcopy / official copy of the 2017 Budget Implementation Document at the Cirebon Regency Education Office is open information based on the KIP Law. The obligation of the Cirebon Regency Education Office in accordance with its duties and functions as a Public Agency does not carry out the mandate of the KIP Law. The methodology used is a type of normative juridical research, namely legal research that places the law as a building system of norms. The system of norms in question is to recognize the principles, norms, rules of laws and regulations, court decisions, agreements and doctrines (teachings). Meanwhile, from the nature of the core research, it is included in the type of descriptive research in the form of diagnostic and evaluative by using qualitative exposure. The findings in this study, First; the weak response and no guarantees as well as the existence of deliberate institutional actions by the Cirebon Regency Education Office, so that the rights of applicants for public information are ignored so that they must take the public information dispute resolution route at the Cirebon Regency Regional Information Commission. Second; that the obligation of the Cirebon Regency Education Office is not to provide, not to provide and/or not to publish public information under its authority to applicants for public information until an unspecified time limit, so that unclear public information will appear and cause a problem. Abstract

The inculcation of character traits, including behaviour, knowledge and skills, is a crucial element in ensuring academic success. Nevertheless, the absence of character education integration into formal curricula has resulted in moral concerns. In response to this situation, MAN 1 and MAN 2 Bojonegoro have implemented a restructuring of their curricula, which now includes the incorporation of spiritual-based character education. This multi-case study, employing qualitative methods with a descriptive-analytical approach, revealed that the integration occurs in three stages: The process of integration can be divided into three stages: 1) Planning, which involves defining spiritual values, academic culture, and teaching materials; 2) Implementation, incorporating both extracurricular and co-curricular activities; and 3) Evaluation, which includes testing and persuasive techniques. The internalisation of character education is based on a comparison system that aligns teaching materials with the aforementioned character education elements and an analysis system focusing on the future vision of the madrasah. The findings of this study indicate that all educational institutions should consider reconstructing their curricula to integrate spiritual character education into the core principles, goals, methodologies, and content.

Tanaman cabai merupakan salah satu komoditas tanaman primadona hortikultura yang diminati oleh kebanyakan petani di Indonsesia, dikarenakan memiliki nilai ekonomis yang menguntungkan dan mempunyai citarasa khas khususnya disetiap hidangan atau masakan. Seiring berjalannya waktu, produksi cabai mengalami fluktuasi di pasaran, hal ini dikarenakan adanya serangan hama pada tanaman cabai rawit. Salah satu hama utama yang menyerang yaitu kutu daun (Aphis gossypii Glover) yang menyebabkan potensi kehilangan hasil produksi cabai sebesar 35% hingga 90%. A. gossypii merupakan serangga dari ordo Homoptera, family Aphididae. Serangga ini menghisap cairan dari tanaman inangnya. Maka dari itu diperlukan adanya tindakan pengendalian hama tanaman budidaya yang salah satunya pemanfaatan pestisida nabati berbahan daun gamal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun gamal yang lebih efektif dari berbagai konsentrasi yang berbeda terhadap tingkat populasi dan intensitas serangan Aphis gossypii Glover pada tanaman cabai rawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Tondo, Kecamatan Mantikulore, Palu, Sulawesi Tengah, dimulai pada bulan Maret-Juli 2024. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 5 Perlakuan Ekstrak Daun Gamal yaitu 0% (kontrol), 5%, 10%, 20%, dan 40% yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali, sehingga diperoleh 20 unit percobaan, dimana masing-masing unit terdiri dari dua tanaman sampel uji. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan diperoleh hasil pengamatan setelah pengaplikasian ekstrak daun gamal (EDG) terhadap tingkat kepadatan populasi A. gossypii menunjukkan perlakuan P4 (40%) berbeda sangat nyata dibandingkan tanpa perlakuan EDG (kontrol) yang mampu menurunkan populasi A. gossypii hingga 6,00 ekor dari awal investasi 20 ekor/tan. Pengamatan intensitas serangan perlakuan P4 menunjukkan berbeda sangat nyata dengan perlakuan lainnya yang menunjukkan pesentase serangan terendah. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya zat senyawa metabolit sekunder (alkoloid, flavonoid, terpenoid, saponin, dan tanin) yang bersifat toksik terhadap serangga dalam ekstrak daun gamal yang diaplikasikan ketanaman yang terserang A. gossypii, sehingga dapat menyebabkan kemampuan makan serangga (antifeedant) menurun dan kerusakan sistem saraf serangga.
