Indonesia is a country that symbolizes plurality. The horizontal conflicts caused by ethnicity, race, and religion show that there is a crisis of national integration and social disharmony within the country. Conflicts in several regions in Indonesia provoked by several things, namely, lack of empathy, tolerance, and trust. However, this is different from what was shown in the border communities in Kalimantan. The result of the research which was conducted in April to June 2015 showed that the people in Indonesia-Malaysia border (especially in districts Jagoi Babang) were able to respect one another in the context of national integration. Living side by side despite their different citizenship is the evidence that they have mutual interaction in many fields such as the economy, education, and health. This condition creates social harmony among those communities. The main reason is that they feel as one family (kinship) under Dayak Bidayuh descent. This sense of belonging is as the result of local wisdom which is still being conducted among them, called ritual Gawai.

The research was aimed to investigate the difference on the effectiveness of health education that was done through speech method supported by poster and through group counseling method supported by poster, in order to im¬prove the knowledge, attitude and behavior of fish fumigation workers in the effort of ARI prevention in Semarang. It was Quasi experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design with Pre Test and Post Test. There were 60 subjects chosen that based on inclusion criteria were divided into two groups: 30 workers (treatment group) whom given poster speech method and 30 others (control group) whom given poster counseling method. The result of data analysis which used pair t-test and McNemar test, showed that: 1) poster speech method and poster counseling method could improve the knowledge and attitude offish fumigation workers in preventing of ARI: 2) poster counseling method could show the behavior changes of fish fumiga¬tion workers in preventing of ARI and 3) poster speech method could not show the behavior changes of fish fumigation workers in preventing ARI. The effectiveness test of both methods which was done by using indepen¬dent t-test and Chi-Square test showed that there was no difference between both health education methods in influencing the knowledge, attitude and behavior offish fumigation workers in preventing ARI. Indeed, the result showed that both had similar influence in improving the knowledge, attitude and be¬havior of fish fumigation workers in prevention of ARI disease.Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk meneliti perbedaan efektivitas penyuluhan kesehatan fmm dilakukan melalui metode ceramah dengan poster dan melalui kelompok Ibffisdmg dengan poster dalam rangka meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku a pengasap ikan dalam upaya pencegahan ISA di Semarang. Bentuk penelitian adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain kelompok kontrol no-ekivalent dengan pre¬test izn postest. Sejumlah 60 subyek dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dibagi menjadi 1 pdtaeipok: 30 pekerja (kelompok perlakuan) yang diberikan metode ceramah dengan posterdan 30 lainnya (kelompok kontrol) yang diberikan metode konseling dengan nHftor. Hasil data analisis yang menggunakan uji t berpasangan dan tes McNemar reennnjukkan bahwa: l)metode ceramah dengan poster dan metode konseling poster dapat memperbaiki pengetahuan dan sikap pekerja pengasap ikan dalam pencegahan ISPA; 2) metode konseling dengan poster dapat menunjukkan perubahan perilaku cari pekerja pengasap ikan dalam pencegahan ISPA dan 3) metode ceramah dengan poster tidak dapat menunjukkan perubahan perilaku dari pekeija pengasap ikan dalam pencegahan ISPA. Uji efektivitas dari kedua metode tersebut yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t tidak berpasangan dan tes X kuadrat menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan antara kedua metode penyuluhan tersebut dalam mempengaruhi pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku dari pekerja pengasap ikan dalam pencegahan ISPA. Dengan demikian, hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa keduanya mempunyai pengaruh j mg serupa dalam memperbaiki pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku pekerja pengasap dalam upaya pencegahan penyakit ISPA.

Rendahnya minat para pencari kerja untuk mengisi posisi pekerjaan di bidang sales didugakarena tingginya kriteria kompetensi yang ditetapkan perusahaan untuk lowongan kerjasales. Dengan adanya dugaan tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk menganalisis kompetensiyang dibutuhkan perusahaan untuk calon karyawan di bidang sales, yang dipublikasikanpada situs lowongan pekerjaan di media online. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkandapat memberikan manfaat bagi para pencari kerja dengan tujuan untuk mengeksplorasikompetensi-kompetensi yang dibutuhkan perusahaan pada bagian sales. Data yangdigunakan menggunakan data sekunder, dengan unit analisis dan pengamatan yangdiambil dari dua situs lowongan pekerjaan online yaitu jobstreet.co.id dan karir.compada tahun 2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik incidental samplingyang berjumlah 385 lowongan pekerjaan sales. Teknik analisis data menggunakancontent analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari lima dimensi kompetensiyang telah dijabarkan oleh Palan (2007) dengan beberapa indikator yang digunakanuntuk pengamatan kompetensi lowongan pekerjaan salesdidapatkan hasil bahwa semuaindikator tersebut diminta oleh perusahaan dan setelah mengumpulkan lebih banyakdata ternyata ada juga tambahan seperti alat penunjang pekerjaan, IPK, domisili dankesehatan fisik didalamnya.

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes and meaningfulness through the application of culture-based integrative thematic design. The type of research used is Stringer model class action research which is carried out through two stages by look, think, and act. Instruments record data using question instruments, questionnaires, art, and documentation. The subject of this research was fourth grade students of SDN Salatiga 03. Data analysis was carried out with comparative descriptions. The results of the research showed an increase in the results and meaningfulness of student learning. This is shown in the completeness of the thematic learning outcomes in the contents of Indonesian and Sciences in a row of 70% and 73% in the first cycle. Furthermore, there was an increase of 82% and 88% in the second cycle. The results of the meaningfulness of student learning in the category are very significant in cycle I, which is 73% and increases in cycle II, which is 88%. Therefore, the application of culture-based integrative thematic learning can improve the results and meaningfulness of elementary school students' learning.

The objective of this research was to examine the influence of guided teaching on students’ independent learning. This research was an action research / preexperimental design research in RS15A of second year students in Bachelor degree of Primary Education in Satya Wacana Christian University. The instrument to test the student’s independent learning was tested in RS15B class. The instrument was qualified to be used in the research and it was used for pretest and posttest. The enhancement of students’ independent learning was shown by a significant difference between posttests and pretest. The inferential data analisys were performed using independent sample t-tests. The results showed that there were significant differences between pretest and posttest. Moreover, Guided Teaching were able to increase students’ independent learning by 59%.

This study examines students’ selection of the pronouns of saya and aku (“I”) when speaking with their teachers. Saya is traditionally prescribed to be the standard form to show politeness and respect, but it has been observed recently that some students have started to use the more informal version aku in the capital city of Jakarta. Therefore, this study aims to describe the use of the pronouns and their accompanying reasons by high school students in a small city in Central Java. This study is crucial to understand student-teacher relationships in the modern Indonesian society. Involving 247 students from a state school and a christian private one in the city of Salatiga, the research indicates a move towards the use of the more informal self-reference aku towards teachers although the degree varies depending on the school. It also suggests that there is a possible shift from “negative/independence” to “positive/solidarity” politeness among senior high students in their interaction with their teachers.

Diabetes Melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolisme kronis yang ditandai dengan peningkatan glukosa darah. Peranan glukosa didalam tubuh sebagai sumber energi. Seiring dengan proses penuaan, semakin banyak lansia yang beresiko terhadap penyakit DM. Aktivitas fisik seperti senam low impact sangat berpengaruh bagi lansia dalam mengatur kadar gula darah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh senam low impact terhadap kadar gula darah pada lansia dengan riwayat DM. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Pre eksperimen, dengan menggunakan tes awal dan tes akhir dengan adanya perlakuan dalam kondisi yang terkendalikan. Sempel yang digunakan adalah 9 responden lansia dengan riwayat DM dengan Teknik purposive sampling. Tes kadar gula darah di lakukan dalam waktu 1 hari sebanyak 2 kali, sebelum melakukan senam dan 5 menit sesudah senam yang dilalukan dengan durasi waktu 20 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kadar gula darah sebelum perlakuan dengan rata-rata sebesar 315,56±84,34 mg/dL dan sesudah perlakuan dengan rata-rata sebesar 285,00±69,43 mg/dL dengan penurunan kadar gula sebesar 30,556 mg/dL, sehingga menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh setelah diberikan perlakuan terhadap penurunan kadar gula darah pada lansia di Posyandu Lansia Asoka Salatiga. Senam low impact ini diharapkan dapat diterapkan untuk membantu mengontrol kadar gula darah pada lansia. Kata Kunci : Senam Low Impact, kadar gula darah, DM

This research is a Classroom Action Research consisting of 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were all 4th grade students of SDN Dadapayam 01. Techniques for collecting data were formative tests and observation sheets. The results showed that using Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type with Media Realia can improve students mathematics learning outcomes. This can be seen when the pre-cycle students who completed the KKM were 6 students (40%), the first cycle increased which was around 9 students who met the KKM (60%) and in the second cycle there was a significant increase of 13 students (87%) students has reached KKM. So it can be concluded that the use of STAD model with Media Realia in Mathematics learning can improve learning outcomes. Teachers can use the STAD model on other glasses and students are expected to be more active and responsible for group discussion activities.

The purpose of this study is to know the process of creative thinking of students according to the theory of Wallas, and reviewed of the cognitive style of psychology. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The subject in this study amounted to 6 students from SMP Kristen 2 Salatiga, which consisted of 3 students with cognitive style Field Independent (FI), and 3 students with cognitive style Field Dependent (FD). The subject taking technique is a purposive sampling. Based on the results of analysis and discussion, the subject of FI can carry out all stages of the process of creative thinking according to Wallas's theory (preparation, incubation, illumination, verification) well, compared to the subject of FD.
