Abstract

English proficiency is a crucial skill in the era of globalization, yet high school students often face challenges in actively practicing the language. This study examines the implementation and effectiveness of the "One Day in English" program at SMAN 1 Sidrap. The program adopts an immersive learning approach where students are required to use English throughout the day in various interactive activities. These activities include group discussions, presentations, daily conversations, and games aimed at enhancing both oral and written communication skills.Using observational methods and pre-and post-program assessments, the study evaluates improvements in students' English language abilities. The findings reveal significant progress in speaking fluency, vocabulary comprehension, and overall confidence in using English. Moreover, the interactive nature of the program fostered active student participation and created a supportive learning environment.This research highlights the potential of immersive learning strategies in addressing barriers to effective English learning. It offers a practical framework for schools to adopt similar programs to enrich language learning experiences and build students’ confidence in real-world communication.

Abstract

Vocabulary is a fundamental aspect of language proficiency, serving as a critical foundation for communication, comprehension, and academic success. However, many vocational high school students face challenges in mastering English vocabulary due to teaching methods that often overlook individual differences in learning needs and abilities. This study explores the implementation of the "Learning Vocabulary" program, designed as part of a teaching assistance initiative at SMKN 3 Parepare, to improve students' vocabulary mastery through personalized and game-based learning methods.The program integrates weekly vocabulary activities involving nouns, adverbs, verbs, and adjectives, utilizing interactive games such as Word Guessing Game, Memory Match, Scrabble, and Role-Playing. These methods aim to foster student motivation and active engagement while addressing individual needs. Data were collected through vocabulary tests, observations, and interviews, and analyzed descriptively.The results reveal significant improvements in students' vocabulary mastery and motivation, highlighting the effectiveness of games-based learning in creating a fun and interactive learning environment. Challenges, including initial resistance to new methods, were addressed through consistent implementation and student adaptation. This study concludes that the "Learning Vocabulary" program, with its focus on individualized and engaging activities, is an effective model for enhancing vocabulary learning in vocational schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teaching assistance programs in improving the learning motivation of twelfth-grade students in English Literature at SMAN 9 Toraja Utara. The program, part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, involves university students assisting teaching activities in schools to support literacy, numeracy, technology adaptation, and administrative tasks. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation over four months. The findings reveal that the teaching assistance program significantly enhances students' interest and enthusiasm in learning. The use of creative methods, such as learning through games and providing rewards, has proven effective in fostering a positive classroom environment and improving academic engagement. Furthermore, the program allows university students to develop essential skills, including leadership, collaboration, and empathy, while contributing to the improvement of teaching quality in schools. This research highlights the importance of innovative educational strategies to support student motivation and academic achievement.

Abstract

This study investigated students’ perceptions toward the use of Educandy in learning English vocabulary at SMPN 1 Maiwa. The research aimed to explore how students perceived the implementation of Educandy as a game-based learning platform and to identify the internal and external factors influencing their perceptions. A qualitative descriptive design was employed in this study. The participants consisted of 20 eighth-grade students, while five students were purposively selected for in-depth interviews. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, classroom observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that students had positive perceptions toward the use of Educandy in vocabulary learning. Students reported that Educandy made learning more enjoyable, interactive, motivating, and easier to understand compared to traditional vocabulary learning methods. The platform also increased students’ engagement, participation, and confidence during classroom activities. In addition, interactive features such as matching games, quizzes, and word puzzles supported vocabulary retention through repetition and active learning. The study further found that students’ perceptions were influenced by internal factors, including motivation, interest, confidence, and learning preferences, as well as external factors such as teacher support, instructional strategies, classroom environment, and the characteristics of the learning media. Among these factors, external factors showed a slightly stronger influence on students’ positive perceptions. In conclusion, Educandy can be considered an effective game-based learning medium that supports vocabulary learning and enhances students’ learning experiences in English classes.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ science learning activities through the implementation of Google Classroom-based educational technology using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach. The research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah Rappang during the 2025/2026 academic year. The participants consisted of 58 eighth-grade students. The study employed two cycles of Classroom Action Research, including planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through classroom observations, student activity sheets, interviews, and documentation. The indicators of learning activities included students’ participation in discussions, assignment completion, responsiveness during online learning, collaboration, and engagement in science learning tasks. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The findings revealed that the implementation of Google Classroom significantly improved students’ learning activities in science classes. In the first cycle, student participation and engagement were categorized as moderate, while in the second cycle, there was a considerable increase in active participation, collaboration, and learning responsibility. The average percentage of student learning activities increased from 64.3% in Cycle I to 85.7% in Cycle II. The use of Google Classroom also enhanced communication between teachers and students, facilitated access to learning materials, and encouraged independent learning. Therefore, the integration of Google Classroom-based educational technology through Classroom Action Research was effective in improving the science learning activities of eighth-grade students. The study suggests that digital learning platforms can serve as innovative instructional media to support interactive and student-centered learning environments in junior high schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of English songs in enhancing pronunciation skills and boosting learning motivation among EFL learners. The research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach at SMPN 1 Panca Rijang in the academic year 2024/2025. A total of 22 ninth-grade students participated in the study. Quantitative data were obtained through pronunciation pre-test and post-test assessments, while qualitative data were collected from semi-structured interviews with five students who achieved the highest post-test scores. The quantitative analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and a paired-sample t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ pronunciation performance, with the mean score increasing from 8.18 in the pre-test to 12.91 in the post-test (mean difference = 4.727, t(21) = 18.44, p = 1.89 × 10⁻¹⁴). Since the p-value was far below the 0.05 significance level, the null hypothesis was rejected, confirming that English songs significantly enhanced students’ pronunciation skills. Qualitative findings revealed strong positive responses and high motivation among the students. Participants stated that learning pronunciation through songs was more enjoyable, easier to follow, and highly motivating. They also mentioned that the rhythm and repetition in the songs helped them imitate native-like pronunciation with greater confidence and reduced anxiety. In conclusion, English songs serve as a powerful, engaging, and effective pedagogical tool that simultaneously improves pronunciation accuracy and increases students’ motivation in EFL classrooms. This study recommends the integration of songs as an innovative strategy for pronunciation instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi digital dan pemanfaatan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) terhadap keterampilan bahasa Inggris mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang melibatkan 50 mahasiswa sebagai responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner berbasis skala Likert yang mengukur variabel literasi digital, penggunaan teknologi AI, dan keterampilan bahasa Inggris mahasiswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, korelasi Pearson, dan regresi linear berganda menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penelitian valid dan reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha masing-masing variabel di atas 0,60. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikansi lebih besar dari 0,05. Analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital dan penggunaan teknologi AI secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan bahasa Inggris mahasiswa dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,046. Selain itu, hasil korelasi menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital memiliki hubungan positif terhadap penggunaan AI dan keterampilan bahasa Inggris mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kemampuan literasi digital dan pemanfaatan teknologi AI berkontribusi dalam mendukung peningkatan keterampilan bahasa Inggris mahasiswa di era digital

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengucapan bahasa Inggris siswa di MIS YPRI Desa Wawondula dengan menggunakan alat pengucapan berbasis AI. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 September 2025 dengan pendekatan pendidikan-partisipatif yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan interaktif, latihan pengucapan secara berulang, demonstrasi penggunaan aplikasi AI, serta evaluasi berbasis observasi dan persepsi siswa. Selama kegiatan berlangsung, siswa menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam mencoba teknologi baru yang mendukung pembelajaran mereka. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alat pengucapan AI terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pengucapan siswa sekaligus menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik, fleksibel, dan mandiri. Tingkat partisipasi siswa mencapai 92%, pemahaman materi pengucapan sebesar 85%, dan respons positif terhadap penggunaan teknologi mencapai 94%. Selain itu, siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri dalam melafalkan kata-kata bahasa Inggris. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi teknologi AI dalam pembelajaran dapat menjadi strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kewirausahaan siswa SMK Muhammadiyah Rappang melalui program pelatihan berbasis kewirausahaan di Kecamatan Pancarijang, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Di tengah tantangan globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi, SMK Muhammadiyah Rappang menghadapi masalah ketidaksesuaian antara kompetensi yang diajarkan dan kebutuhan pasar kerja. Selain itu, banyak siswa berasal dari latar belakang ekonomi yang kurang mampu dan memiliki keterbatasan akses terhadap pelatihan kewirausahaan yang relevan. Program pelatihan ini dirancang untuk mengatasi masalah di bidang produksi dan pemasaran, dengan memberikan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk menciptakan produk berkualitas dan memasarkan produk menggunakan teknologi digital.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melibatkan asesmen kebutuhan awal, pelatihan inovasi produk, serta pelatihan pemasaran digital dan branding. Program ini juga mencakup pendampingan dalam implementasi strategi pemasaran dan produksi yang telah diajarkan. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam hal inovasi produk, pengelolaan produksi yang lebih efisien, serta kemampuan pemasaran produk secara online melalui media sosial dan platform e-commerce.Pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tantangan dalam produksi dan pemasaran masih ada, penggunaan teknologi tepat guna dan pemahaman tentang pemasaran digital dapat meningkatkan daya saing produk lokal. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan keterampilan kewirausahaan kepada siswa, tetapi juga memberdayakan masyarakat sekitar untuk menjadi wirausahawan yang mandiri dan inovatif. Keberhasilan program ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan lapangan kerja baru dan memperkuat perekonomian lokal di Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran digital menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar mengajar di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama. Namun, masih banyak guru yang belum optimal dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif berbasis digital. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMP Negeri 3 Panca Rijang dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan media ajar berbasis aplikasi digital Kahoot dan Wordwall. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, pendampingan praktik, serta evaluasi. Pelatihan dilakukan melalui pemberian materi, demonstrasi penggunaan aplikasi, dan praktik langsung pembuatan media ajar oleh peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan Kahoot dan Wordwall sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Guru mampu menghasilkan media ajar digital yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mata pelajaran dan karakteristik siswa. Selain itu, respons peserta terhadap kegiatan pelatihan tergolong sangat positif, ditunjukkan oleh meningkatnya motivasi guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi digital ke dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan mendorong inovasi pembelajaran digital di lingkungan sekolah.
