Abstract

Abstract

Abstrak: This study aims to analyze the influence of multimedia content design on engagement levels and brand perception on Kopi Leong's social media accounts as a representation of a local brand. In the digital era, content visualization has become a strategic factor in building consumer identity and loyalty, especially for small and medium enterprises. This study uses a quantitative-descriptive approach involving 150 respondents who are followers of Kopi Leong's Instagram account. The research instrument is an online questionnaire that measures visual perception (color composition, typography, and visual style), engagement levels (likes, comments, and shares), and brand image (authenticity, trustworthiness, and local appeal). Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to determine the relationship between visual variables on engagement and brand perception. The results show that visual design that consistent and authentic significantly increases engagement levels (p 0.05 ), and strengthens the brand's perception as a modern yet traditional local product. The warm color scheme and classic-style typography create a strong sense of familiarity and authenticity in the minds of consumers. In conclusion, multimedia content design plays a crucial role in strengthening Kopi Leong's branding strategy through social media, particularly in building audience engagement and strengthening the brand's local identity.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought about major changes to the education system, including at the primary school level, which forms the foundation for shaping the character and competencies of students. This study aims to analyse the implementation of education management in improving the quality and effectiveness of learning in primary schools in the digital era. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach through the analysis of various scientific sources such as journals, books, and education policies. The results of the study show that the implementation of effective educational management in the digital era must include the functions of planning, organising, implementing, and supervising, integrated with the use of information and communication technology. The headteacher plays an important role as a transformational leader in guiding teachers to be able to innovate and develop digital-based learning. Strengthening adaptive, participatory, and data-based school management has been proven to improve the efficiency of the teaching and learning process, student engagement, and the quality of learning outcomes. Thus, the digitisation of educational management is not only a modernisation strategy but also an important instrument in realising high-quality, effective, and competitive basic education amid dynamic global changes.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to examine whether professionalism, work culture, and competence, both partially and simultaneously, significantly influenced the quality of service at the Lampung Province Personnel and Training Agency. Methodology: This study employed a survey method using questionnaires as the main research instrument. The population consisted of 13,906 Civil Servants (PNS) who were service recipients at the Lampung Province Personnel and Training Agency Office (Central Statistics Agency of Lampung Province, 2024). A proportional random sampling technique was applied, and the data were analyzed using multiple regression to test the partial and simultaneous effects. The independent variables were professionalism (X1), work culture (X2), and competence (X3), and the dependent variable was service quality (Y). Results: The findings show that professionalism, work culture, and competence positively and significantly affect service quality. Moreover, when tested simultaneously, these three variables significantly improved service quality, thereby confirming all the proposed hypotheses. Conclusion: The study concludes that professionalism, supportive work culture, and competence are crucial for improving public service quality in the Lampung Province Personnel and Training Agency. Limitations: This study is limited to cross-sectional data and a single agency, restricting generalization. Future research should apply longitudinal and comparative approaches across different government institutions. Contribution: This research provides theoretical evidence of the determinants of service quality in regional institutions and offers practical guidance for policymakers in developing training, organizational culture, and competency-building programs.
Critical Pedagogical Analysis of Permendikdasmen No. 9 of 2025: The Contradiction of Academic Ability Tests (TKA) in the Context of Revitalising Vocational High Schools (SMK) Hertanto, Yudhi; Hasbullah, Hasbullah

Abstract

Permendikdasmen No. 9 of 2025 introduces the Academic Ability Test (TKA) as a new standardization and selection instrument in Indonesia's education landscape. This policy aims to provide standardized academic achievement data for selection purposes (Ministry of Education and Education, 2025). This paper presents a critical pedagogical analysis that argues that, in the context of Vocational High Schools (SMK), TKA policies show significant pedagogical dissonance. Using the theoretical lens of constructivism, differential pedagogy, and authentic evaluation, this analysis shows that TKA is philosophically contrary to the basic principles of vocational education. Instead of answering chronic competency gaps, especially soft skills deficits which is consistently identified by the industrial world, foreign workers are at risk of exacerbating the phenomenon of academic drift (shift of focus to academics). Furthermore, TKA creates assessment redundancy (overlapping with ANBK) and paradoxically devalues the significance of performance-based assessments of the Expertise Competency Test/UKK which should be the heart of vocational education. This paper recommends radical differentiation or exclusion of foreign workers for vocational schools, as well as the strengthening of UKK as a 'golden standard' for national vocational assessments that are in line with international best practices.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the influence of Managerial Ownership (MOWN), Firm Size (SIZE), and profitability (ROA) on Firm Value (EPS) of companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019–2024 period. Methodology/approach: The research was conducted on 30 companies included in the JII, with purposive sampling used to select eight companies observed over six years, resulting in 48 research samples. This study applied a quantitative research method using data collected from annual financial reports. The analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the SPSS software. Results/findings: The findings show that Managerial Ownership (MOWN) has a positive and significant effect on Firm Value (EPS), Firm Size (SIZE) has no significant effect, and profitability (ROA) has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, MOWN, SIZE, and ROA have a positive and significant effect on Firm Value (EPS). Conclusions: The results indicate that managerial ownership and profitability are the most important factors to consider for improving EPS, whereas firm size does not significantly determine firm value. Limitations: This study is limited to companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) during the 2019–2024 period, which may reduce the generalizability of the findings to other sectors or indices. Contribution: This study contributes to financial management studies by providing empirical evidence of the role of ownership structure and profitability in shaping firm value. This study is useful for investors, policymakers, and academics focusing on Islamic capital markets and corporate governance.

Abstract

Despite extensive policy and legal responses to the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) program, existing scholarship has predominantly concentrated on macroeconomic stabilization measures, institutional accountability, and post-crisis regulatory reform. However, these studies have paid limited attention to the mechanisms of fund misappropriation at the implementation level and to the normative gaps in supervisory and legal frameworks that enabled state financial losses.   This study examines legal and structural causes of ineffective BLBI loss recovery, evaluates comparative crisis resolution frameworks, and formulates an ideal legal model ensuring certainty, asset recovery, and public interest protection. The research adopts a normative legal methodology employing legislative, conceptual, and case-based approaches. The findings demonstrate that, first, the BLBI dispute exposes systemic deficiencies in Indonesia’s law enforcement system, particularly weaknesses in substantive legal norms, institutional capacity, and legal culture, which collectively prolonged dispute resolution and imposed a substantial fiscal burden on the state. Second, comparative analysis shows that countries such as Thailand and South Korea effectively managed banking liquidity through independent, coherent, and responsive legal frameworks, while Indonesia continues to encounter structural constraints that impede effective BLBI settlement. Third, effective recovery of state losses requires the reconstruction of an integrated legal framework that prioritizes legal certainty, asset-focused enforcement, institutional independence, legal culture reform, and clearly defined national procedures, supported by robust inter-agency coordination and international cooperation to prevent the recurrence of structural impediments.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of complaint handling service quality and user satisfaction on customer retention within Indonesia's Online Travel Agent (OTA) industry. Research Methodology: A quantitative survey was conducted, collecting data from 160 OTA users with complaints. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to assess the relationships between complaint handling and satisfaction and user retention. Results: The results show that both complaint handling service quality (? = 0.579) and user satisfaction (? = 0.647) significantly and positively affect user retention, explaining 53.4% of its variance (Adj. R² = 0.534, p < 0.001). Effective complaint handling and high satisfaction levels are critical for sustaining customer loyalty. Conclusion: The study concludes that OTAs must prioritize transparent complaint management, empathetic customer service, and personalized satisfaction programs to enhance user retention. These factors contribute significantly to maintaining customer loyalty in the competitive digital tourism market. Limitations: The study is limited by the use of snowball sampling, which affects generalizability. It also relied on self-reported data, which may have introduced bias. Future research could employ mixed-methods designs and expand to cross-cultural contexts. Contributions: This study contributes to the digital service recovery literature by integrating complaint handling and satisfaction factors to explain OTA user retention in Indonesia, offering new insights into the strategic importance of service recovery for customer loyalty.
