Abstract

The determination of avocado ripeness plays a crucial role in post-harvest handling and quality The determination of avocado ripeness plays a crucial role in post-harvest handling and quality control within the agricultural sector; however, conventional assessment methods based on visual inspection and human experience are often subjective and inconsistent, potentially leading to classification errors and economic losses. To address this issue, this study proposes an automated avocado ripeness classification system using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based on digital image analysis. The model employs a transfer learning approach using the MobileNet architecture implemented through the Teachable Machine platform. The dataset utilized in this research was obtained from Mendeley Data and consists of avocado images categorized into four ripeness levels: underripe, breaking, ripe, and overripe. Prior to model training, the images underwent preprocessing and data augmentation to improve model robustness and generalization. Model evaluation was conducted using 1,200 test images, with 300 samples per class. Experimental results show that the proposed model achieved an overall accuracy of 91.42%, indicating strong and stable classification performance. Analysis using a confusion matrix reveals that most predictions were correctly classified, while misclassifications primarily occurred between ripeness stages with visually similar characteristics. Among all classes, the underripe category demonstrated the highest performance with minimal classification errors. These findings indicate that the proposed CNN-based approach is effective and reliable, and it has significant potential to be further developed as an automated system for avocado ripeness classification and post-harvest quality assessment.

Abstract

Hasil belajar matematika siswa sekolah dasar masih menjadi permasalahan penting, khususnya pada materi satuan panjang yang sering dianggap sulit dipahami karena bersifat abstrak. Berdasarkan observasi di SD Muhammadiyah 25 Medan, diketahui bahwa sebagian besar siswa kelas III belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), yaitu hanya 32% siswa yang tuntas. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya inovasi media pembelajaran yang lebih konkret dan menarik, salah satunya adalah media Tangga Satuan. Media ini dirancang untuk membantu siswa memahami konversi antar satuan panjang dengan cara visual dan sistematis, sehingga diharapkan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media Tangga Satuan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas III SD Muhammadiyah 25 Medan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) tipe Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas III yang berjumlah 36 orang, dengan teknik total sampling. Sampel terdiri atas 19 siswa kelas eksperimen (menggunakan media Tangga Satuan) dan 17 siswa kelas kontrol (menggunakan metode konvensional). Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar berbentuk pilihan ganda dan uraian yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai pre-test ke post-test pada kelas eksperimen dari 48,77 menjadi 79,64, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya meningkat dari 47,89 menjadi 64,31. Uji Independent Sample T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media Tangga Satuan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, khususnya pada materi satuan panjang.

Abstract

Tanah ulayat merupakan bidang tanah yang dikuasai langsung KMHA oleh Lembaga Adat yang manfaatnya diperuntukkan baik bagi anggotanya maupun orang luar berdasarkan izin dari KMHA. Sedangkan hak ulayat merupakan hak MHA sebagai lembaga hidup bersama dan dikelola untuk kepentingan bersama anggota MHA (communal besitzrecht). Hak ulayat merupakan hak yang dimiliki oleh MHA yang bersifat normatif dan tunduk kepada Sistem Hukum Adat. Masalah pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah apa saja kendala-kendala dalam penyelesaian sengketa tanah ulayat masyarakat hukum adat di Kabupaten Kampar dan bagaimana prosedur penyelesaian sengketa tanah ulayat masyarakat hukum adat menurut ketentuan hukum adat di Kabupaten Kampar. Metode penelitian adalah Penelitian Yuridis Empiris merupakan salah satu tipe penelitian hukum yang menganalisis mengkaji bekerjanya hukum dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitis yaitu memberikan gambaran suatu kejadian yang terjadi secara jelas dan terperinci. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, Kendala-kendala dalam penyelesaian sengketa tanah ulayat masyarakat hukum adat di Kabupaten Kampar yaitu tumpang tindih tanah hak ulayat masyarakat hukum adat dengan HGU yang diberikan kepada PTPN V, dimana dalam proses penerbitan HGU PTPN V di Kabupaten Kampar pihak PTPN V tidak ada melibatkan masyarakat hukum adat setempat dan tidak membayar uang pancuong ale atau uang ganti rugi berupa apapun. Sehingga masyarakat hukum adat setempat merasa dirugikan karena tanah hak ulayat masyarakat hukum adat dirampas begitu saja. Bahkan tanah-tanah yang telah menjadi hak perorangan dari masyarakat hukum adat setempat yang ditanami berbagai tanaman komoditas seperti karet, kelapa sawit dan lain sebagainya yang menjadi sumber mata pencaharian masyarakat hukum adat di okupasi tanpa pemberian ganti rugi. Dan prosedur penyelesaian sengketa tanah ulayat MHA menurut ketentuan hukum adat di Kabupaten Kampar yaitu menggunakan musyawarah dan mufakat yang mengedepankan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal melalui penerapan nilai-nilai adat istiadat, norma sosial dan sistem kehidupan tradisional yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun yang berfungsi sebagai pedoman dalam mengatur tatanan hidup bermasyarakat, bermusyawarah dan menyelesaikan sengketa sedangkan Bajanjang Naik, Batanggo Turun di Kabupaten Kampar, ternyata penerapannya seringkali tidak terdokumentasi secara tertulis sehingga rentan terhadap interpretasi yang berbeda. Adapun permasalahan tanah ulayat yaitu perbedaan persepsi tentang eksistensi tanah ulayat, semakin berkurangnya tanah ulayat, pendaftaran tanah ulayat, investor tidak memberikan plasma kepada MHA sesuai dengan kesepakatan sewaktu penyerahan tanah ulayat, struktur adat tidak kuat dan ninik mamak menjual tanah ulayat tanpa sepengetahuan anak kemenakan.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the meaning of the Goyang Ngamprok danceat the Ayodya Pala Studio in Depok Municipality, West Java. This research uses a qualitative research method with a Holistic Critical Approach that places three factors, namely genetic factors, objective factors, and affective factors, as a single entity as the source of meaning. The meaning of dance can be revealed by examining three issues: (1) How are the genetic factors of the Goyang Ngamprok dance at the Ayodya Pala Studio in Depok Municipality, West Java, (2) How are the objective factors of the Goyang Ngamprok dance at the Ayodya Pala Studio in Depok West Java, (3) How the Affective Factors of the Goyang Ngamprok Dance at the Ayodya Pala Studio in Depok Municipality, West Java. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and literature review. The research results show that the Ngamprok Dance tells the story of teenage friendships among a group of young people who experience misunderstandings but eventually quickly reconcile and become close again. The music of Goyang Ngamprok dance utilizes Betawi traditional music, fan properties, and corrective makeup.

Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the limited number of studies examining the integration of local wisdom in geometry learning at the elementary school level, despite its potential to enhance conceptual understanding and cultural preservation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the integration of local wisdom in teaching geometric shapes through a contextual learning model in elementary schools. This research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from relevant national and international literature and analyzed through thematic synthesis to identify patterns, concepts, and effective instructional strategies. The findings indicate that elements of local culture, such as traditional buildings, fabric motifs, traditional games, arts, and community traditions, contain various geometric concepts that can be utilized as contextual learning resources. The application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) integrated with local wisdom has been shown to improve students’ motivation, conceptual understanding, and engagement by connecting abstract geometric concepts with students’ real-life experiences. Furthermore, this approach contributes to strengthening students’ cultural awareness and appreciation. The study concludes that integrating local wisdom into geometry learning through a contextual model enhances instructional effectiveness while supporting the development of ethnomathematics-based learning and cultural preservation in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the utilization of local cultural contexts in realistic mathematics learning to enhance the relevance and learning interest of elementary school students. The background of this research is the low level of students’ engagement and the lack of contextual relevance in mathematics learning, which often causes students to perceive mathematics as abstract and disconnected from their daily lives. This study employed a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing various relevant sources, including national and international journal articles, books, and research reports published within the last ten years. The results of the analysis indicate that the integration of local cultural elements in realistic mathematics learning can make learning more meaningful, contextual, and engaging for students. Cultural contexts help students understand mathematical concepts through real-life experiences that are familiar to them, thereby increasing motivation and interest in learning. In addition, realistic mathematics learning based on local culture supports the development of students’ critical thinking skills and strengthens their appreciation of local values. Therefore, the application of local culture-based realistic mathematics learning is considered an effective strategy to improve the relevance and learning interest of elementary school students.

Abstract

The twenty-first century is characterized by rapid developments in science, technology, and information, which require students to possess higher-order thinking skills. One essential skill that needs to be developed from the elementary school level is mathematical thinking ability. This ability is not limited to mastering mathematical concepts and procedures, but also includes logical, critical, and systematic reasoning, as well as problem-solving skills in real-life contexts. This article aims to examine the development of elementary school students’ mathematical thinking skills in response to the challenges of twenty-first-century education. The study employed a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing relevant academic sources, including journals, books, and research articles. The findings indicate that the development of mathematical thinking skills can be effectively enhanced through twenty-first-century learning approaches that are student-centered, problem-based, project-based, contextual, and supported by the integration of technology. In addition, the role of teachers and a supportive school environment is crucial in fostering students’ reflective and creative thinking habits. Strengthening mathematical thinking skills from an early age is expected to equip students to become adaptive, solution-oriented, and well-prepared to face future life challenges.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to explore the understanding and effectiveness of teachers' responses to the socialisation and training on scientific article writing strategies at Al-Hidayah Foundation. Methodology: The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive statistical approach. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and questionnaires distributed to teachers participating in training and socialization. The questionnaire was designed to measure initial understanding, changes in perception, and increased ability to write scientific articles before and after training. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics assisted by SPSS. Main Findings: This socialisation and training is designed to improve teachers' skills and knowledge in writing publishable scientific articles, motivated by the need to improve the quality of education and learning in schools, teachers are expected not only to act as teachers but also as researchers who actively contribute to the development of science, with the socialisation of this training it was found that some teachers were still confused about how to compile good and correct scientific articles. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research introduces a new training method or strategy, this research includes an evaluation or analysis of the impact of the training. Overall, this research can advance knowledge by providing a new model or approach in scientific writing training for teachers, as well as offering new insights that can be applied in broader educational context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik yang cenderung menghafal rumus tanpa memahami maknanya, sehingga diperlukan penerapan model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif Team Assisted Individualization berbantuan tutor sebaya terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis Pre-Eksperimental Design dan desain satu kelompok pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 28 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes yang telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika setelah penerapan model pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran tersebut berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh LKPD berbasis PhET Interactive Simulations terhadap hasil belajar perbandingan pecahan siswa kelas IV SDN 107400 Bandar Khalipah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan populasi seluruh siswa kelas IV dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji statistik untuk menguji hipotesis yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi LKPD berbasis PhET Interactive Simulations memberikan pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, khususnya pada materi perbandingan pecahan. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol serta mampu memenuhi ambang batas KKTP yang telah ditetapkan.
