Abstract

The continuously increasing energy demand drives the utilization of renewable energy, one of which is biogas from cow dung. Biogas production is generally not optimal because fermentation is conducted at room temperature, which is less suitable for methanogenic bacteria. This research designs an Internet of Things (IoT) based anaerobic digester that can monitor and control temperature in real time, while also examining the effect of fermentation temperature on biogas volume and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). The temperature of 25°C produced the lowest volume (0.3 L) and COD (9600 mg/L). The optimal fermentation condition is found at a temperature of 35°C. The research results indicate that temperature significantly affects the fermentation process. A temperature of 35°C yields the highest biogas volume (3.7 L) and the lowest COD (6400 mg/L), whereas a temperature of 27°C results in the lowest volume (0.3 L) and COD (9600 mg/L). The optimal fermentation condition is at a temperature of 35°C. The application of IoT facilitates the monitoring of the process and enhances the efficiency of biogas production.Keywords: Biogas, Anaerobic Digester, Internet of Things (IoT), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)

Abstract

This study is based on the need to evaluate a company's financial performance as a basis for strategic decision-making by management, investors, and other related parties. PT Gudang Garam Tbk, one of the largest cigarette manufacturers in Indonesia listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, experienced fluctuations in performance during the 2021–2023 period, necessitating an in-depth study to assess its financial health. The objective of this study is to analyze the company's financial performance using liquidity, solvency, profitability, and activity ratios and to interpret the findings within the framework of signaling theory. This study employs a quantitative descriptive method with a documentary study approach, where the data analyzed consists of PT Gudang Garam Tbk's audited annual financial statements for the period 2021–2023. The analysis technique used is time series analysis to identify trends in financial performance changes from year to year. The analysis was conducted by calculating the current ratio, quick ratio, debt-to-asset ratio, debt-to-equity ratio, net profit margin, return on assets, return on equity, total asset turnover, and fixed asset turnover. The results of the study show that liquidity ratios are experiencing a downward trend, profitability declined sharply in 2022 and then recovered in 2023, solvency ratios tend to be stable with low financial risk, and activity ratios show fluctuations. Overall, PT Gudang Garam Tbk's financial performance remains below industry standards, but the improvement in 2023 serves as a positive signal according to signaling theory, while the decline in 2022 acts as a negative signal for the market.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of Machiavellian leadership communication in the Korean manhwa Heavenly Demon Can’t Live a Normal Life. Departing from conventional studies that locate Machiavellianism within formal political institutions or historical leadership, this research positions popular visual narratives as significant sites for the construction and dissemination of power discourse. Using a qualitative approach and critical discourse analysis, the study analyses narrative structures, character dialogues, and visual symbolism to uncover how leadership, legitimacy, and organizational control are communicatively produced. The findings reveal that leadership in the manhwa is constructed as a strategic communicative practice rather than mere coercion or inherited authority. The protagonist, Roman Dmitri, establishes legitimacy through a combination of performative competence, centralized decision-making, symbolic violence, and strategic displays of care. These communicative practices generate voluntary consent and organizational loyalty, aligning closely with Machiavellian principles that emphasize effectiveness, stability, and the management of perception. Furthermore, the manhwa integrates political communication and organizational communication by depicting power as a continuous process of discourse reproduction within a hierarchical structure. Authority is normalized through narratives that frame domination as necessary, rational, and morally justified when accompanied by protection and responsibility. This study contributes to communication scholarship by demonstrating that Korean manhwa functions as a meaningful political-organizational text, capable of articulating complex Machiavellian leadership logics through visual storytelling.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal force and legal implications of credit agreements without notarial legalization on legal protection for banks and debtors at the Central Java Regional Development Bank. This study uses an empirical legal method with a statutory and sociological legal approach to examine legal provisions normatively and their application in practice. Data were obtained through interviews and observations as primary data, and literature studies as secondary data. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that credit agreements without notarial legalization remain valid as long as they meet the requirements for a valid agreement according to the Civil Code, but have limitations in evidentiary power and executorial certainty compared to authentic deeds. From the perspective of legal protection, banks as creditors obtain relative protection and depend on internal control mechanisms, while debtors do not receive the guarantee of independent verification as in notarial legalization. This condition indicates implications for the level of legal certainty for parties in credit practices.

Abstract

The persistent gap between formal character instruction and the actual moral conduct of students often stems from a lack of authentic role modeling within the educational environment. This study examines the mechanisms and impact of caregivers’ exemplary living (uswatun hasanah) as a form of hidden curriculum within pesantren character education. It focuses on three inquiries: the manifestation of exemplary behavior in Tahajjud rituals and time management; the internalization process among students and teachers; and its broader impact on community culture. Employing an ethnographic qualitative approach at At-Taqwa Pesantren, data were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentary studies. Findings reveal three pillars of the hidden curriculum: authentic spiritual consistency in Tahajjud, time discipline as an expression of integrity, and transparent sincerity. These values are internalized through observational modeling, emotional identification, and behavioral normalization. Consequently, a mutually reinforcing educational ecosystem emerges, where exemplarity serves as the “soul” or ethos driving formal processes. This research concludes that effective character education relies heavily on an authentic, integrated hidden curriculum. Crucially, educational institutions must prioritize recruiting mentors who possess both academic competence and profound moral character, recognizing that every interaction and behavior serves as the most persuasive curriculum for student development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana pengaruh Diversifikasi Produk dan Digital Marketing terhadap pertumbuhan jumlah nasabah tabungan mudharabah pada Unit Usaha Syariah (UUS) PT Bank Sulselbar Cabang Syariah Makassar. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 100 responden yang merupakan nasabah aktif dari produk tabungan mudharabah. Teknik analisis data yang diterapkan adalah regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 25. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Diversifikasi Produk memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan jumlah nasabah. Begitu pula dengan Digital Marketing yang turut memberikan dampak positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan jumlah nasabah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua strategi tersebut efektif untuk digunakan dalam mendorong peningkatan nasabah pada produk tabungan mudharabah. Dengan demikian, pihak bank disarankan untuk terus memperluas variasi produknya serta mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan pemasaran digital guna menjangkau lebih banyak kalangan masyarakat.   Kata Kunci : Diversifikasi produk; digital marketing; strategi pemasaran; tabungan mudharabah

Abstract

Digital transformation is an inevitability in the era of society 5.0. This study examined the digital transformation of Islamic education of Pesantren in Madura. This study employed a qualitative approach, focusing on social education. The study was conducted using interview techniques for Kiai, santri, and researchers in Madura. There were three social facts in the digital transformation of Islamic education. First, the digital transformation in Kiai Pesantren Madura Perspective. Second, implementation of digital transformation of Islamic education at Pesantren Madura. Third, opportunities and challenges for pesantren in facing digital transformation in Islamic education. The Kiai in Pesantren Madura who initially practiced traditional Islamic education were following the development of digital transformation. The positive response can be seen from their perspective on the digital transformation of Islamic education and its implementation in facing digital transformation. Also, some Pesantren have prepared digital literacy facilities and human resources. Even though they have great opportunities in implementing digital transformation, they have the challenge of limited human resources and facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of interpreting QS. Āli ʿImrān [3]:118–119 in fostering interreligious harmony within the pluralistic society of Kapuas Regency, which is currently experiencing local social and political dynamics, by employing the hermeneutical approach of Ma’na Cum Maghza developed by Sahiron Syamsuddin. This approach is selected for its capacity to integrate the historical-textual meaning of Qur’anic verses with their universal ethical messages in contemporary contexts. Methodologically, this research adopts a qualitative-interpretative design through library research and field studies. Data sources include Qur’anic verses, classical and modern Qur’anic commentaries, academic literature on Islamic hermeneutics and interreligious relations, as well as documents and social practices related to the role of the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB) of Kapuas Regency. Data analysis is conducted by identifying the ma’na (original meaning) of the verses within their socio-historical context, followed by an exploration of their maghza (contextual significance) for present-day realities. The findings reveal that QS. Āli ʿImrān [3]:118–119, which was originally revealed in a context of political vigilance toward non-Muslims during the aftermath of the Battle of Uhud, can be reinterpreted through the Ma’na Cum Maghza approach as conveying broader socio-ethical messages that emphasize prudence, openness, and moral responsibility in interreligious interactions. Values such as at-tasamuh (tolerance), at-taʿāwun (cooperation), and at-tarāḥum (compassion) emerge as universal ethical principles that resonate with the initiatives and practices of FKUB Kapuas in maintaining social cohesion amid local political polarization. The implications of this study affirm that the Ma’na Cum Maghza approach positions the Qur’an as a source of universal ethics that promotes a peaceful and inclusive Islam, while also offering an applicable model for strengthening synergy among FKUB, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Kapuas Regency Government based on Qur’anic values and local cultural wisdom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji relevansi penafsiran QS. Ali Imran [3]:118–119 dalam membangun harmoni antarumat beragama di tengah masyarakat majemuk Kabupaten Kapuas yang tengah menghadapi dinamika sosial dan politik lokal, dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutis Ma’na Cum Maghza sebagaimana dikembangkan oleh Sahiron Syamsuddin. Pendekatan ini dipilih karena kemampuannya mengintegrasikan makna historis-tekstual ayat dengan pesan etis universal yang kontekstual. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif-interpretatif melalui studi pustaka dan studi lapangan. Sumber data meliputi ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an, karya tafsir klasik dan modern, literatur akademik tentang hermeneutika Islam dan relasi antaragama, serta dokumen dan praktik sosial yang berkaitan dengan peran Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB) Kabupaten Kapuas. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menelusuri ma’na (makna asal) ayat dalam konteks sosio-historisnya, kemudian mengelaborasi maghza (signifikansi) ayat bagi konteks kekinian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa QS. Ali Imran [3]:118–119 yang pada mulanya diturunkan dalam konteks kewaspadaan politik terhadap kelompok non-Muslim pada masa Perang Uhud, melalui pendekatan Ma’na Cum Maghza dapat ditafsirkan ulang sebagai pesan sosial-etis yang lebih luas, yang menekankan prinsip kehati-hatian, keterbukaan, dan tanggung jawab moral dalam interaksi antarumat beragama. Nilai-nilai at-tasamuh (toleransi), at-ta‘awun (kerja sama), dan at-tarahum (kasih sayang) muncul sebagai prinsip etis universal yang selaras dengan praktik dan program FKUB Kapuas dalam menjaga kohesi sosial di tengah potensi polarisasi politik. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan Ma’na Cum Maghza menempatkan Al-Qur’an sebagai sumber etika universal yang mendorong lahirnya Islam yang damai dan inklusif, sekaligus menawarkan model aplikatif bagi penguatan sinergi antara FKUB, Kementerian Agama, dan Pemerintah Kabupaten Kapuas berbasis nilai-nilai Qur’ani dan kearifan budaya lokal.

Abstract

The improvement of village road infrastructure plays an important role in enhancing community mobility and supporting local socioeconomic development. This study aims to analyze changes in mobility conditions before and after road improvement, explore community perceptions and experiences, identify changes in activity and economic patterns, and examine factors that support or hinder mobility optimization in Trayeman Village, Slawi District, Tegal Regency. A mixed-method approach was employed involving 98 respondents selected from a population of 5,229 residents using the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error, along with 15 key informants for qualitative data collection. Data were gathered through observations, in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and Likert-scale questionnaires. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, while qualitative data were examined using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that road improvement has significantly enhanced community mobility, with an overall mean score of 3.89, categorized as high. Access to services recorded the highest score (4.06), followed by economic mobility (4.00) and social mobility (3.99). Community perceptions were largely positive, viewing the improved road as a catalyst for development and improved accessibility. Road improvement also encouraged broader economic opportunities, lower transportation costs, business growth, and increased income. Supporting factors included private vehicle ownership and supportive village policies, whereas high fuel prices, limited transportation options, and uneven local road conditions remained major challenges. Further improvements in supporting infrastructure and transportation services are recommended to maximize mobility benefits.

Abstract

This study examines the interpretation of ayat ‘am (general) and khas (specific) in the Al-Qur’an related to thalak (divorce) and its relevance for the renewal of Islamic family law in Indonesia. The background of the study lies in the existence of divergent interpretations of divorce verses, which often influence the application of family law in contemporary social and legal contexts. The research aims to analyze the meaning of ayat ‘am and khas on thalak based on tafsir and uṣūl al-fiqh approaches, and to explain their implications for developing a more just and contextually responsive family law in Indonesia. This qualitative library research employs thematic exegesis (tafsīr maudhu‘ī), an uṣūl al-fiqh perspective, and a juridical-normative approach. Primary data are drawn from Al-Qur’an verses on thalak (Q.S. al-Baqarah: 229–230; Q.S. at-Talaq: 1–2), classical tafsir works, and foundational legal literature, while secondary data are obtained from books, journal articles, and regulations on family law in Indonesia. The findings show that ayat ‘am provide general principles of divorce, whereas ayat khas regulate the procedures and ethics of its implementation in more specific terms; an integrative interpretation of both yields a legal construction that balances normative and practical dimensions. Within the context of Indonesian family law, these principles support legal reform aligned with maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, particularly the values of justice (‘adl), public welfare (maṣlaḥah), and the protection of human dignity. Accordingly, the interpretive framework of ayat ‘am and khas on thalak can serve as a conceptual foundation for strengthening Islamic family law in Indonesia so that it becomes more adaptive to contemporary developments while remaining firmly rooted in Al-Qur’anic values.
