Abstract

Employee performance in the public sector often fluctuates due to a lack of strong internal drive. This study aims to analyze the effect of Workplace Spirituality on Employee Performance through Organizational Commitment as an intervening variable at the Environmental Service (DLH) of Dompu Regency. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, this study involved 53 Civil Servants (PNS) selected via purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) based on the S-O-B-C theory. The results show that Workplace Spirituality has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, both directly and indirectly. Specifically, spirituality has the strongest impact on forming Organizational Commitment. Commitment is proven to act as a vital mediator bridging the transformation of spiritual values where work is perceived as worship into productive work behavior. These findings confirm the "Values to Action Transformation" model, implying that integrating spiritual values and strengthening loyalty are effective strategies for improving the performance of apparatus in local government agencies.

Abstract

This explanatory quantitative study examines the impact of performance and communication competence of Family Planning Field Workers (PLKB) on the success of the family planning program in Woja, Dompu. Data from 65 couples of childbearing age, collected via purposive sampling and Likert-scale questionnaires, were analyzed using SEM-PLS. The structural model demonstrated strong predictive power (R² = 70.5%). Hypothesis testing revealed a crucial finding: workers' administrative performance had a significant but negative effect (P=0.015; β=-0.218), indicating that a rigid, target-oriented approach triggers resistance in rural communities. Conversely, communication competence emerged as the dominant predictor with a highly significant positive effect (P=0.000; β=0.962). Simultaneously, both variables showed a significant impact. The study concludes that successful implementation in communal cultures necessitates a dialogic and empathetic approach. The government is advised to evaluate PLKB assessment standards by prioritizing cross-cultural communication soft skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the influence of market orientation and innovation on marketing performance, mediated by business agility, in MSMEs in Dompu Regency. In the VUCA era, MSMEs face intense competitive pressures and shifts in consumer behaviour, raising the question: can innovation and market orientation boost performance without operational agility? The novelty of this research lies in testing the mediating effect of business agility to address inconsistencies in prior literature on the innovation paradox, which often burdens the performance of resource-limited MSMEs in developing countries. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 252 MSME managers in the food and beverage sector through purposive proportional random sampling, then analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Empirical results show that market orientation positively affects marketing performance, whereas innovation does not have a significant direct impact. The discussion of the findings confirms that business agility plays a vital role in fully mediating the relationship between innovation and partially mediating the effect of market orientation on performance. In conclusion, innovation will be commercially valuable only if it transforms MSMEs into agile entities. From a managerial perspective, government and business intervention must be reoriented from merely ceremonial new-product launches to incubation programs that increase managerial flexibility and supply-chain adaptability.

Abstract

The Integrated Islamic Elementary School curriculum is considered exclusive, such as rejecting the ideology of other religions, claims of separation between Islam and the state and even believing in the government's evil conspiracy. Eradication of radicalism in schools is intended to narrow the space for movement, therefore the role of Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (IIES) is very important in breaking away from the notion of radicalism. This study was conducted to answer the question of how the strategy of an integrated Islamic elementary school in integrating the curriculum, extracurricular activities, environmental creation and other activities to prevent radicalism is carried out. This is qualitative research with principals, teachers and students as the subject of documentation studies, and interviews, while data analysis is carried out with the stages of reduction, exploration, verification and contextualization of data. The result of this research is that research shows that the integration of the learning curriculum at IIES West Sumatra is divided into four types that strengthen the applicable curriculum for character strengthening, personal strengthening of students to face global challenges. Strategies in extracurricular activities are carried out with a structured and systematic pattern. The three strategies for creating the environment are pursued in an Islamic atmosphere, non-discriminatory, based on genetic characteristics, upholding ethical values, respecting cultural pluralism, and a polite culture for school members. The four strategies for routine, spontaneous and exemplary activities to prevent radicalism are carried out by strengthening character and integrating activities with learning activities, nurturing and habituation in the form of worship activities, order, neatness and cleanliness, eating and drinking. drinking, social behavior. So it can be concluded that there is no indication of the strengthening of radical ideology in IIES West Sumatra

Abstract

Background: Spinal anesthesia is one of the anesthesia techniques for surgery in various fields, one of which is brachytherapy. Post dural puncture headache (PDPH) is one of the most common complications after spinal anesthesia, one of the risk factors of which is related to the size of the spinal needle usedObjective: To determine the relationship between the incidence of PDPH after spinal anesthesia with Quincke needles with sizes 25G, 26G, and 27GMethods: The design of this study was an experimental study, randomized control trial and primary data collection was carried out on patients undergoing brachytherapy with spinal anesthesia in August-October 2024 until the sample size was met. The research data were tested using the Fisher's exact test and logistic regression. Results: 32 patients underwent brachytherapy with spinal anesthesia, with each group consisting of 44 patients. The highest incidence of PDPH occurred in the group with a 25G needle, namely 10 patients, and in the groups using 26G and 27G needles, there were 2 patients each who experienced PDPH. In multivariate analysis, BMI had a greater influence on the incidence of PDPH than the number of punctures, but there was no significant difference between the two variables. Conclusion: The use of 26G and 27G needles has a lower incidence of PDPH than the use of 25G needles

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction, with work stress as a mediating variable and perceived organizational support (POS) as a moderating variable. The research adopts a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to analyze the relationships among variables. Data were collected from employees of PT Pegadaian in Maros Regency through a structured questionnaire. The results reveal that work-life balance has a significant negative effect on work stress and a positive effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, work stress significantly and negatively influences job satisfaction, indicating that higher stress levels reduce employees’ satisfaction. Mediation analysis demonstrates that work stress partially mediates the relationship between work-life balance and job satisfaction, suggesting that work-life balance enhances job satisfaction both directly and indirectly through stress reduction. In addition, perceived organizational support is found to significantly moderate the relationships in the model. Specifically, POS weakens the negative impact of work stress on job satisfaction and strengthens the negative relationship between work-life balance and work stress. The study contributes to the literature by integrating Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Theory and Social Exchange Theory in a moderated mediation framework, providing a more comprehensive understanding of how organizational and psychological factors interact to influence employee outcomes. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of promoting work-life balance and strengthening organizational support to reduce work stress and improve job satisfaction, particularly in the financial service sector. Keywords: work-life balance, work stress, job satisfaction, perceived organizational support

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the determinants of consumer behavior among students at STIE Yapis Dompu regarding their use of the Shopee platform, by examining the influence of lifestyle, financial literacy, and social media. Research Method: This study employs a quantitative, descriptive-associative design. Data were collected using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. A sample of 154 active students in the Management Program from the 2022–2025 cohorts was selected using purposive sampling from a population of 706 students, based on the criterion of having made at least two transactions on Shopee. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS. Results and Discussion: The results indicate that lifestyle and social media positively influence consumer behavior, with social media being the dominant factor. Financial literacy also has a significant influence, but in a direction that does not align with the hypothesis, and thus does not serve as a moderator of consumer behavior in the digital context. Implications: These findings confirm that lifestyle pressures and social media influence the effectiveness of financial literacy. Therefore, financial education needs to be developed in a more context-specific manner, taking into account behavioral aspects and the digital environment.
