Abstract

The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is an indicator in determining the health level of a country. Infant mortality is caused by various health problems, especially since the gestation period, even starting before the gestation period. Stress during pregnancy affects the motor, cognitive and emotional development of the baby. This study aims to determine the effect of Interactive Pregnancy Education (IPE) on levels in third trimester primigravida pregnant women. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted in the Kemayoran and Cempaka Putih Community Health Centers in DKI Jakarta from December 2021 to completion. The samples were 30 third trimester primigravida pregnant women for the intervention and control groups. Data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon tests with SPSS 22 software. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the median stress scores in the control group before and after the median decreased after the intervention and the difference in the median stress scores before and after the intervention in the intervention group was greater than the control group, which decreased to 6.50. This shows that IPE is effective in reducing stress in pregnant women who have previously had stress with high stress scores.

Abstract

Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) is a tropical fruit widely cultivated in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. Manual classification of rambutan types and ripeness levels remains a challenge due to the high subjectivity and time-intensive nature of the process, particularly in large-scale agricultural operations. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), a deep learning approach, offers significant potential in automating and improving the accuracy of fruit classification tasks by extracting complex visual features such as color and texture. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to evaluate the application of CNN in rambutan classification. Relevant research from 2019 to 2024 was analyzed to identify trends, accuracy levels, and challenges in utilizing CNN for this purpose. Results demonstrate that CNN achieves superior accuracy (>90%) compared to traditional methods like K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). However, limitations include restricted dataset diversity and insufficient testing under real-world conditions. Recommendations for future research emphasize the need for larger, more diverse datasets and integration of additional media, such as spectral data and video, to enhance model robustness

Abstract

Zoysiagrass is warm-season turfgrass thriving in tropical regions. Despite the adaptive nature, the existence of Indonesian zoysiagrass as well as morphological and genetic characteristics are not available. Therefore, this study aimed to explore Indonesian zoysiagrass from western and eastern parts of the country, as well as its morphological and molecular characteristics. Morphological characteristics was conducted to measure vegetative and reproductive characters while genotyping was performed using 15 simple sequence repeat markers. Morphological characteristics cluster three major groups, namely Group 1 corresponded to short, shorter, and fine leaves. Group 2 corresponded to tall, longer, and fine leaves, fewer seeds, and short spikelet, while Group 3 corresponded to tall, long, and wider leaves, more seeds, and longer spikelet. The results showed that the expected heterozygosity (He = 0.256) was lower than homozygosity (Ho = 0.341). The high level of discriminating capacity, polymorphism, and informativeness of SSR marker was observed (Effective Multiplex Ratio = 4.20, Marker Index = 2.394, and Resolving Power = 1.574). Additionally, population structure generated two subpopulations. Group 1 corresponded to Z. japonica from Sumatera Island and mixed province while Group 2 corresponded to Z. japonica from Central Java and Bali with Z. japonica and Z. matrella from mixed province. In conclusion, the exploration of morphological and genetic diversity from Indonesian zoysiagrass provided useful insight for conservation and future breeding improvement.

Abstract

Fermented buffalo milk, known as dadih, serves as a reservoir of potential probiotic yeasts. Over the past two decades, probiotic yeasts have gained increasing attention in both basic and clinical sciences due to their health benefits. This study aimed to isolate and characterize probiotic yeasts from dadih. Yeasts were isolated using yeast Extract, peptone, and dextrose (YPD) medium, and molecularly identified through 18S-rRNA sequencing. Probiotic potential was assessed by evaluating resistance to acidic pH, bile salts, proteolytic, lipolytic, and hemolytic activities. Secondary metabolites produced during fermentation were tested for antimicrobial properties. GBT30 and GBT37 isolates were selected based on their superior performance in probiotic property assays for further analysis. Molecular identification revealed these isolates as Pichia occidentalis (GBT30) and Pichia kudriavzevii (GBT37). Both strains demonstrated in vitro survivability under simulated gastrointestinal conditions and exhibited antimicrobial activity. Whole-genome sequencing of P. kudriavzevii GBT37 identified a genome size of 10,906,850 base pairs, distributed across four chromosomes with a GC content of 38.26%. Notably, secondary metabolite biosynthesis genes were located on contig 7. In addition, 26 probiotic-related genes, including GSY1, HSC82, HSP104, TPS1, ARN1, FLO1, ALA1, SIR2, and others, were identified in P. kudriavzevii GBT37, indicating its potential as a probiotic yeast. The traditional fermentation process of dadih offers probiotic yeasts with promising health benefits, supporting its potential as a functional food.

Abstract

Marriage registration is the administrative data collection on marriages handled by marriage registrar officers with the aim of creating legal order. This research shows that regulations regarding examining marriage documents are regulated in Minister of Religion Regulation Number 19 of 2018 concerning Marriage Registration. Because checking documents is one of the processes of registering a marriage. However, the examination of this document is administrative in nature, so it does not determine whether a marriage is valid or not. The type of research carried out by the author is field research using qualitative methods, while the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis used is an inductive method, namely by presenting specific empirical facts from the research results and then ending with general conclusions. From this research it can be concluded that marriage registration was not carried out in accordance with existing laws and regulations. However, this is not a benchmark for whether a marriage is valid or not because document checks are administrative in nature. It's just that in the case of marriage registration, the documents were not checked, which is one of the stages of marriage registration. Examination of marriage documents, commonly called rafak, aims to ensure the suitability of the data of the prospective bride and groom and also that there are no obstacles to carrying out the marriage.
