Abstract

Decision making in reproductive health is not yet entirely in the hands of women. Often decisions are made based on husband or family factors. Thus, problems often occur with termination of pregnancy which can lead to death. The aim of this research is to look at factors related to gender equality in decision making to participate in the Family Planning Program at BPS Sri Rahayu, SST. The hypothesis that will be used is that there is a relationship between the independent variables Knowledge, Attitudes, perceptions and characteristics of husband and wife, namely Age, Occupation and Income, with the dependent variable, namely Gender Equality in decision making to take part in the Family Planning Program. The benefit of this research is that by knowing gender equality in decision making to participate in a family planning program, it is hoped that it can prevent unwanted pregnancies which will lead to a reduction in maternal mortality. Based on this, this research is quantitative research with a descriptive design using correlation studies (ex post facto), which aims to understand the relationship between the dependent and independent variables without researcher intervention. Judging from the time dimension, this research is a cross sectional study. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately involving 96 mothers as respondents. The results of the research show that gender equality in the decision to take part in a family planning program is the highest among those who do not have gender equality in the decision to take part in a family planning program, totaling 54 mothers (56.3%) and the independent variables that have a significant relationship are Knowledge (p=0.000), P-value Attitude (p=0.000) P-value Perception (p=0.000) and for mother and father characteristics P-value for Father's Age (p=0.043), P-value for Mother and Father's Occupation (p=0.000), P-value for Family Income (p=0.000). The results of this research recommend to BPS Sri Rahayu, SST to increase promotion of gender equality. Recommendations are also given to other researchers who intend to conduct research on gender equality to involve more variables studied with different designs and use instruments that have standard validity and reliability values

Abstract

Cultural relativism is a view that culture has its own worldview. It can also be defined as a person's perspective (a tribe, religion, nation) in seeing other people's habits (culture) that are firmly entrenched in life and practiced in everyday life. Value is a quality provision that is meaningful for individual human life, society, nation and state. The presence of values in human life can generate actions and reactions, so that humans will accept or reject their presence. As a consequence, values will become life goals that want to be realized in the reality of everyday life. For example, the values of justice and honesty are values that have always been a human concern to be realized in reality. Implementation of education one way is through school education. In the whole process of education in schools teaching and learning activities are the main activities. Learning cannot be separated from teaching, students learn because educators teach and vice versa. One effort to optimize learning outcomes is to improve teaching, which in this case is mostly determined by educators

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the teachers’ reaction to curriculum changes in Madrasah learning.  The qualitative research method will be applied in this study where researchers will describe data in the form of phrases rather than statistics. While descriptive research is commonly utilized by researchers. Descriptive types only explain phenomena, symptoms, events, and episodes that occur in certain populations or communities. According to the conclusions of this study, learning tools are the compass and forward and backward directions of educational institutions in Indonesia, particularly in Madrasas. Learning tools can be helpful in gaining success and success in implementing learning programs in certain educational units. Looking at the times, compiling a curriculum is not a simple task, but the curriculum is developed based on the needs for the development of a country's educational quality. Furthermore, the curriculum is a notion that must rise to meet all obstacles, yet changes to the curriculum cannot be avoided due to the necessity. Curriculum design is critical because education can meet the requirements of society. As a learning designer, the teacher must begin with a modest and concrete problem, such as the problem of the Madrasah environment. However, the teacher must also think broadly and be visionary. Teachers must remain professional in their tasks even when the curriculum in Indonesia changes, and they must provide a stimulating learning environment so that students feel challenged and like studying.

Abstract

Reflective thinking is an essential component in fostering critical awareness and problem-solving skills that are particularly needed in Social Science subjects. However, observations indicate that fourth-grade students still exhibit low levels of reflective thinking due to ineffective teaching methods and the lack of alignment between instructional delivery and students’ abilities. This study aims to analyze the reflective thinking abilities of elementary school students through the implementation of a Differentiated Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Social Science learning. This study employs a mixed-method approach, with data collected through tests and questionnaires to measure students’ reflective thinking skills before and after the implementation of the differentiated PBL model. The findings show a significant improvement in students' reflective thinking skills, where the model encouraged active participation, collaborative learning, and deep reflection in problem-solving processes. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating innovative learning models such as differentiated PBL to enhance students' reflective thinking abilities and to promote meaningful Social Science learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Biofouling attached to floating net cages and other aquaculture containers is an obstacle in aquaculture. The presence of biofouling can reduce the quality of the environment and interfere with the health of farmed animals, resulting in large losses. This study assessed the anti-biofouling activity of the Callyspongia pseudoreticulata extract component (EMCp) against the Barnacle Balanus amphitrite. For this purpose, C. pseudoreticulata was extracted with 80% methanol using the maceration method at <40°C to obtain EMCp. B. amphitrite was cultured in an aquarium at 25 ppt. The anti-biofouling activity of EMCp was tested against B. amphitrite larvae using asbestos plates. The study used a Complete Randomized Design with three treatments, namely, A) asbestos plate smeared with EMCp + varnish, B) asbestos plate smeared with varnish, and C) asbestos plate not smeared with EMCp and varnish (control). EMCp toxicity test on the larvae used clear bottles, and the adhesion test using 24-well polystyrene plates. Toxicity observations were done after 24 hours, and the number of dead larvae was calculated. The attachment of the larvae was calculated under a microscope at 10× magnification. Identification of groups of chemical compounds using a thin-layer chromatography chromatogram detected under UV lamps and spraying of reagents. The study found that EMCp effectively inhibited the attachment and growth of B. amphitrites with the LC50 of 150 mg/L. Studies of chemical constituents identified various compounds in the extract, including alkaloids, flavonoids, and terpenoids. These results suggest that C. pseudoreticulata has potential as a natural alternative to chemical-based antifouling agents.
