Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the topics that become students' misconceptions in kinematics, the causes that can trigger misconceptions, and the remediation used to overcome these misconceptions. The method used in this research was the systematic review method. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the biggest misconception among students was in straight motion. Several causes trigger the emergence of misconceptions in kinematics, where the causes that often arise come from the students themselves, namely, students' preconceptions or initial conceptions, students' abilities, students' cognitive development stages, wrong intuitions, and students' reasoning.  The remediation that was often used to remediate misconceptions was the use of learning models, for instance, generative models.

Abstract

Critical thinking ability is one of the important skills that need to be improved to face the 21st century. In learning physics, appropriate teaching materials are needed and can improve students' critical thinking skills so that students can increase their learning independence. The purpose of this research is to develop student worksheets integrated with the Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model to facilitate student's critical thinking skills. The type of research used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall model modified into six stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, and product trial. The research instruments used were expert validation sheets, teacher practicality sheets, and student practicality sheets. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics. The results of this study are the average value of the validity of the student worksheet product is 0.82 which is categorized as valid, and the average value of practicality according to the teacher is 98% and the average value of practicality according to students is 90% with a very practical category. therefore, the use of student worksheets integrated with the POE model is valid and practical in learning physics.

Abstract

Physics learning at school still shows the implementation of the learning model teacher's use is still learning with a teacher-centred teaching and learning process that creating low student learning outcomes. Therefore, a study was conducted by employing the discovery learning model to increase student learning outcomes. The type of research conducted was a quasi-experiment with the research design RandomisedPossttest Only Control Group Design. With the same number of sample class members, namely 36 students. The research data includes student physics learning outcomes on cognitive aspects. Data analysis techniques employed are normality test, homogeneity and hypothesis testing at the real level of 0.05. Based on data analysis, average physics learning outcomes of students in the knowledge aspect of the experimental class is 82 higher than the control class which is 76. Hypothesis testing of the posttest conducted tcount<ttable where 2.52 > 1.66 H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, it can be concluded in the study that the usage of the discovery learning model has a significan effect on the physics students' learning outcomes a real level of 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the influence of the Integrated Project Based Learning learning model of the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) approach on the understanding of physics concepts of grade X students of SMAN 1 X Koto Tanah Datar. This study was carried out using a quantitative method with the Quasy Experiment type. The research instrument is in the form of a multiple-choice test with 5 choices. Before the test is given, the instrument will be tested for validity, reliability, difficulty, and differentiation. A total of 67 students of Class X Phase E became the study sample, namely 32 students from the experimental group and 35 students from the control group. The methods used to analyze the data include homogeneity tests, normality tests, and hypothesis tests. The findings of the study in the hypothesis test showed a significance value of < 0.05 which means that the use of the STEM integrated PjBL learning model affects the understanding of physics concepts of grade X students of SMAN 1 X Koto Tanah Datar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the creative problem solving (CPS) learning model on students' understanding of physics concepts in physics learning in class XI phase F at SMA N 1 Ampek Angkek. This study utilizes a quantitative approach with the type of Quasi Experiment Design. The research instrument is in the form of multiple-choice questions with five possible answers. Before the test is given, the instrument will be tested for validity, reliability, difficulty level and differentiation first. A total of 72 physics students of eleventh grade phase F participated in this study; 32 from the experimental group and 36 from the control group. The data analysis techniques used are normality tests, homogeneity, and mean difference tests. The findings of the study show that the application of the CPS learning model affects students' understanding of concepts. Both groups of students who use the direct learning model and those who use the CPS model have a significance value of <0.05 in the statistical analysis carried out using the t-test.

Abstract

Education is basically an investment in human resource development that is indispensable in society. One of the important skills that must be possessed in the era of globalization is the ability to solve problems. Students are considered to be able to solve problems if they are able to understand, choose strategies, and then apply them in problem solving. But in reality, students' problem-solving skills are still low. Therefore, learning resources are needed that can train problem-solving skills. One of the learning resources that can be developed is electronic enrichment books. This study uses the R&D research method. The model used in this study is the 4-D model. The population in this study is 78 students in grade XI Phase F for the 2024/2025 school year. The sample of this study was carried out by random sampling with the research subject of physics lecturers of FMIPA UNP with a total of 3 lecturers. Based on the results of the research of the electronic enrichment book entitled "Sitinjau Lauik from the Perspective of Physics" which was developed, a validity score was obtained from 3 experts with an average score of 0.82 with very valid criteria. Based on this, electronic enrichment books that are developed and arranged in such a way can be used as a physics learning resource that trains the problem-solving skills of high school students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that students have low scientific literacy, self-efficacy, and retention in physics learning, especially on the topics of Newtons law of gravity and Keplers law. This problem is compounded by the use of printed teaching materials that have not been able to develop these three things optimally. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness and impact of augmented reality (AR)-based teaching materials designed with a STEM-integrated cognitive conflict-based learning (CCBL) in improving scientific literacy, self-efficacy, and student retention. The study employs a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The subjects of the study were grade XI phase F students at MAN 1 Padang. The instruments used were scientific literacy tests, self-efficacy questionnaires, and retention tests. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistical tests in SPSS to determine the differences between the two classes. The results showed that there were significant differences in scientific literacy, self-efficacy, and student retention between the experimental and control classes. Classes using AR learning materials based on STEM-integrated CCBL showed better results compared to control classes. This indicates that the implementation of these learning materials is effective in improving students' abilities in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities. It can therefore be concluded that AR-based STEM-integrated cognitive conflict learning can effectively address the challenges of 21st-century physics education, particularly with regard to improving student scientific literacy, self-efficacy, and retention

Abstract

Data di Desa Pauh Barat menunjukkan sudah adanya posyandu Lansia tetapi belum maksimal dalam mengatasi permasalahan pencegahan stroke. Faktor eksternal yang menyebabkan kejadian stroke di Desa Pauh Barat selama ini belum terkontrolnya pemeriksaan tekanan darah, gula darah, asam urat. Kader lansia juga belum ada yang bisa melakukan pengkajian dini stroke secara langsung, kader mengatakan belum memiliki panduan yang baku dalam melakukan deteksi stroke.  Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut perlu upaya penanggulangan stroke dengan memberdayakan para kader lansia Desa Pauh Barat. Metode pelaksanaan pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dengan memberikan pelatihan deteksi dini stroke serta memberikan panduan deteksi dini stroke serta leaf let. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 12 orang yang terdiri dari 10 orang kader lansia dan 2 orang tokoh masyarakat desa Pauh Barat. Hasil pre test menunjukkan bahwa dari 60% kader yang berpengetahuan kurang baik, setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan terjadi peningkatan menjadi baik 100%. Dari pelatihan yang sudah diberikan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan para kader lansia tentang deteksi dini stroke  dan kegiatan pengabdian ini berkesinambungan secara berkala dengan pendampingan tim pengabdian masyarakat dan bidan desa Pauh Barat .

Abstract

AbstrakPada masa pandemi COVID -19 saat lalu, sekolah menyelenggarakan proses pembelajarannya dengan menggunakan e-learning dimana media teknologi memiliki peran penting. Fungsi dari media teknologi secara umum adalah menampilkan sarana komunikasi dan informasi berupa teks, gambar, video, dan suara yang dapat diakses secara online. Mitra kami dalam melakukan kegiatan abdimas pada saaat ini adalah guru-guru di SMPN 1 Tanjung yang memiliki komunitas belajar. Mitra dihadapkan pada permasalahan sebagai berikut: para guru masih ragu bagaimana mengintegrasikan e-learning ke dalam pembelajaran mereka; dan masih awamnya guru untuk pembuatan soal sebagai alat evaluasi, anak-anak di SMP 1 Tanjung lebih sering menggunakan buku dan LKPD yang dibuat sekolah sehingga alat evaluasinya masih belum menerapkan paperless. Permasalahan berikutnya adalah keterbatasan dalam memberikan evaluasi yang tepat untuk mengevaluasi setiap siswa secara objektif dan tentunya dengan menggunakan Google Form lebih mudah untuk mengetahui hasilnya secara langsung di era digitalisasi ini. Berdasarkan hal tersebutlah, maka tim abdimas melakukan pendampingan pelatihan penggunaannya dalam pembuatan soal berbagai bentuk sebagai alat evaluasi bagi siswa. Persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi merupakan tiga tahapan kegiatan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan secara luring dan daring dengan menggunakan Zoom. Dengan menggunakan survey dan wawancara maka hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa para guru bersemangat untuk belajar dan mampu menggunakan Google Formulir untuk meningkatkan kemampuan serta memudahkan mereka dalam pembuatan soal untuk mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran. Kata kunci: pelatihan; pembuatan soal; g-form; guru smp. Abstract During the previous pandemic, schools were able to organize their learning process by using e-learning in distance learning. The function of technical media in general is to provide text, images, video, and sound—all media kinds or forms that are exclusively available online—as a means of online communication and information. Teachers at SMPN 1 Tanjung have partnered with us for this community service project. Partners are faced with the following issues: kids at SMP 1 Tanjung exclusively use books and LKS from school; teachers are still unsure of how to integrate e-learning into their lessons; and teachers' incapacity to generate assessment questions. Since it is simpler to know the results immediately in this day of digitalization, the next issue is the limitations on providing appropriate evaluation in order to evaluate each student objectively. Using Google Classroom to create questions is a problem that can be solved by offering training. Preparation, execution, and assessment are the three phases of an activity. Using Zoom to provide video training and demonstrations on how to utilize Google Forms and Classroom, community service projects are implemented both online and offline. The exercise's outcomes showed that teachers are eager to learn and are able to use Google Classroom and Google Forms to enhance their abilities to support instructional activities Keywords: training; examination items; g-form; teachers.
