Abstract

The increase in population in Indonesia is directly proportional to the increase in the use of vehicles which results in an increase in fuel demand. The amount of fossil fuels continues to decrease and cannot be renewed, so alternative energy is needed, one of which is bioethanol. This study aims to make bioethanol from banana weevil waste, to determine the effect of fermentation time on the concentration of banana weevil bioethanol and to determine the concentration of bioethanol after going through the purification stage. The production of banana weevil bioethanol begins with the process of cutting the banana weevil which is then mashed with the help of water and then squeezed and starch is obtained and then hydrolyzed with the addition of glucoamylase and alpha-amylase enzymes for further anaerobic fermentation with the help of Saccharomyces cerevisiae with a concentration of 25%. In this study, variations of fermentation time were carried out for 5, 7, 9, and 10 days. The best fermentation time was obtained from 9 days of fermentation, where the conversion of glucose to bioethanol was 51%. The results of the analysis using a refractometer showed that the concentration of bioethanol obtained was 16.20% (v) which was obtained from fermentation for 9 days and purification using a rotary evaporator at a pressure of 360 mbar and a temperature of 500C.

Abstract

Living together as unmarried partners, commonly known as cohabitation or “kumpul kebo” in Indonesia, was not prohibited under the old Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP). However, in light of Indonesia’s cultural emphasis on decency, cohabitation has recently been criminalized. According to Article 412 paragraph (1) of the New KUHP, cohabitation is now considered a criminal offense, punishable by a maximum fine of thirty million rupiahs and imprisonment for up to six months. This legal development sparked significant reactions among university students, who voiced their concerns during protests against the New KUHP. Debates continue regarding the legality of cohabitation, prompting this study to investigate the perception among students in Jambi Province regarding its criminal status. The findings indicate that 55.3% of the 340 respondents from local universities believe cohabitation should not be illegal. They argue that ethical considerations are more pertinent, suggesting that societal and moral sanctions against offenders suffice. Those who contest such views may resort to customary law for civil proceedings against offenders they deem to have transgressed societal norms

Abstract

The tax ratio is often used as an indicator to compare tax revenue to gross domestic product (GDP). It offers valuable insights into the overall tax burden on the economy, aiding policymakers and economists in comprehending the extent of taxes in relation to the economic scale. This study examines the tax ratio on economic growth and identifies the ideal tax ratio that could be implemented to achieve optimal economic growth in Indonesia. Applying ordinary least squares (OLS) regression which passes classical hypothesis testing, this study spans a research period of 39 years, covering the years 1983 to 2021. The regression estimation results show that the relationship between the tax ratio and economic growth is non-linear, with a t-statistic value of -2.952949, revealing a high significance level at a probability of 0.0057. Additionally, the t-statistic for the squared tax ratio is 2.540621, demonstrating a significant probability of 0.0158. This empirical evidence suggests that in the early stages, an increase in the tax ratio has a contractionary effect on economic growth., However, if it has reached a certain tax ratio value of 15.29%, a further rise in the tax ratio becomes expansionary, positively influencing economic growth. The tax ratio value of 15.29% is the ideal for creating optimal economic growth in Indonesia. The regression estimation results of this study prove that the government should not be concerned about the increasing of the tax ratio, because it will actually stimulate Indonesia's economic growth. Apart from that, the shape of the Laffer curve, illustrating the relationship between tax revenues and Indonesia's economic growth differs notably from the typical inverted "U" shape. Instead, the Indonesian Laffer curve tends to be flat and curves downwards.

Abstract

Innovation in creating learning media so that it can adapt to technological developments is an innovation that is needed in learning. This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on Android and HTML assisted by Lectora Inspire and then also analyze the feasibility, effectiveness and practicality of the media developed into general journal material. The development of this interactive learning media was developed using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection instruments used validation sheets, pre-test post-test sheets and also student response sheets. The material expert validation score was 94% with the very feasible category, the media expert validation score was 100% with the very feasible category, the learning practitioner validation score was 96.3% with the feasible category, and the user validation score was 98.1% with the very feasible category. With an average score of 97.1%, the media is considered very feasible to use. The practicality of the media gets a score of 82.15% which is in the very practical category, and the effectiveness of the media gets a score of 82.85% in the effective category.

Abstract

Video as a learning medium is a form of innovation in the field of technology to improve the quality of education. The Rumah Belajar website provides learning video media as a form of government support for the quality of education in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of video-based learning media through the home study website on explanatory text material. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research sample was 14 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu City. The data collection technique was simple random sampling using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive statistics by testing the validity and reliability of the instrument. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed on a percentage basis to reveal indicators of student responses to video-based learning media. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of video as a learning media from (1) the material aspect 85.71% (very effective), (2) the suitability aspect of the video 94.28% (very effective), (3) the video experimental aspect 90% (very effective), and (4) usability aspect 89.64% (very effective). The results show an average of 89% including the very effective category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya fenomena yang ditunjukkan oleh NGO lingkungan hidup yang bergerak dalam bidang lingkungan hidup, dimana untuk provinsi Jambi mempunyai jumlah sebaran yang tidak bisa dibilang sedikit. NGO lingkungan hidup yang ada di Jambi beroperasi dalam berbagai jaringan, mulai dari lokal,nasional sampai yang berskala internasional. Bentuk,sifat dan kekuatan masing-masing jaringan tersebut menentukan masa depan keberlanjutan sektor NGO Lingkungan hidup di Jambi maupun Indonesia secara lebih luas. Penelitian ini menjelaskan fungsi NGO Lingkungan hidup sebagai kekuatan kekuatan politik yang muncul dan mampu memberikan pengaruh  kuat terhadap proses pembuatan kebijakan di ranah pemerintahan lokal. Penelitian menganut paradigma konstruktivisme dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memberikan penjelasan dan memahami peristiwa yang sedang atau telah terjadi, yang menekankan pada interpretasi makna kategori yang berkembang dari informan penelitian. Abstract

Cassiavera's contribution to the regional economy of Kerinci Regency is 5.58%, 6.35% to the gross value added, and 21.23% the contribution to regional exports. Cassiavera's lands are mostly controlled by "white-collar farmers" or in The local language is called ”land lord”. If there is an increase in the price of Cassiavera, then the "white-collar farmers" will benefit, not the cultivators or "black-collar farmers". “Black-collar farmers” are those who actually work on Cassiavera lands, only labor or wage farmers with a piece-work or daily system. The increase in Cassiavera prices does not directly increase the welfare of Cassiavera farmers. This study aims to analyze and determine the factors that affect the income of Cassiavera farmers in Kerinci Regency. The analytical method used is descriptive Crosstab method and multiple linear regression with Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The results of the Crosstab tabulation show that there is a relationship between Cassiavera's age, education, labor and land area with Cassivaera's farm income, while the number of stems has no relationship with Cassivaera's farm income. The results of this regression indicate that, partially Cassiavera age, labor and land area have a significant and significant effect on the income of Cassiavera farmers in Kerinci Regency, while the number of stems and education have no effect on the income of Cassiavera farmers. Simultaneously, all variables of Cassiavera age, number of stems, education, labor and land area have a significant effect on farmers' income.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of environmental performance and disclosure of carbon accounting on the profitability of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021. In this study, the method used was an explanatory quantitative method. The sample selection technique was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The sample selected for this study was 65 manufacturing companies. The findings reveal that while carbon accounting disclosures have no impact on profitability, environmental performance has a beneficial impact on profitability (ROA). This shows that before making investment decisions, investors have considered the credibility of environmental performance but have not considered the disclosure of carbon accounting in the annual report.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of KUR on increasing micro business profits on KUR customers at Bank BRI Sangeti Unit and to analyze how much influence KUR provides on increasing micro business profits on KUR customers at Bank BRI Sangeti Unit. The method used in this study is quantitative with the research object KUR Bank BRI customers, Sangeti Unit, Muara Jambi Regency, 2022 research year. The popuation in this study were 644 customers and the sample used in this study was 10% of the population, namely 64 customers. the results of the study that there is an influence between the provision of people's business loans on increasing profits of UMKM customers of Sengeti bank units, this is proven by a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a large effect of 18.5%. The People's Business Credit Program (KUR) as a whole has been well implemented, therefore it should be maintained so that this program can continue to benefit micro and small businesses in meeting their capital needs and business development, and being able to increase the profits or profits they get from business results. which is executed.

Abstract

Taxation is a form of state obligation in the context of community participation in financing growth. The views and behavior of WP are affected by several factors, including demographics. Demographic factors such as gender, work, and socio-economic status can explain the possibility of a person's actions and motivations. This study aims to determine the effect of demographic factors on the level of compliance of individual taxpayers in Sekayu District at the Sekayu Primary Tax Service Office. The research method used in this study is the quantitative method and uses a model based on multiple regression analysis. SPSS is used to analyze the data. The results of the study stated that the interaction between sex, work, and financial status influenced the compliance of one's taxpayers. Factors such as sex, work, and socio-economic status contribute to the disparity in taxpayer compliance between individuals.
