Abstract

The question posed in this research is "Do political institutions participate in producing products and carry out various influences on innovation policies?" This study contributes to understanding the role of politics in innovation policies in local government. This research was conducted in two areas, namely Malang City and Malang Regency. The method used is available data analysis (secondary data). There are 4 focus studies that are examined. There are two analyzes used in this study, namely: First, the data obtained secondary to descriptive analysis was carried out with Excel, then further analyzed using SmartPLS for inference analysis. The findings of this study reveal that the political environment has a negative relationship with both innovation achievements and local government performance. However, in elaboration on policies, it turns out that political colonization occurs in policy products. This research also reveals why innovative areas are never sustainable in terms of their innovation achievements. Although this research can reveal policy colonization by the political environment, the limitations of the scope of the research area, and the scale used to limit this research. For this reason, it is advisable for a more detailed study by expanding and comparing the regions, both those interpreted in the IGA and TOP 99, and those that are not.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) play a crucial role in Indonesia's economy, particularly in creating jobs and improving community welfare. However, MSMEs still face a number of challenges, especially in marketing and utilizing digital technology. One such example is Tahu Berkah Barokah, an MSME located in Pekiringan Village, Talang Subdistrict, Tegal Regency. This business specializes in tahu gambir and tahu putih (types of tofu), but still relies on conventional marketing methods and lacks a strong digital and legal business identity. Through a Community Service Program (PKM) carried out by a team from the Digital Technology University, a series of activities were implemented to enhance the competitiveness of the MSME. These activities included the creation of promotional banners, logo design as a visual business identity, registration of a Business Identification Number (NIB) for formal legality, development of a website as an online promotional medium, and the registration of the business location on Google Maps to make it easier for consumers to find. In addition, technical training was provided to the business owner to enable independent management of digital promotion. The results of this program show significant improvements in the business's image, visibility, and accessibility. The products have become more widely known both locally and online. Consumers can now easily access information about the business through the website and locate it via Google Maps. With an official NIB and appealing visual media, customer trust has also increased. This program demonstrates that collaboration between educational institutions and MSMEs can have a tangible positive impact in driving digital transformation and the development of micro enterprises in the digital era

Abstract

Ginger industrial waste is available in abundance, unprocessed and harmful to the environment because of its smells. Researchers propose that ginger industrial waste be processed using water distillation and Carbon Dioxide Supercritical Extraction (CDSE) methods. The purpose of this study was to utilize ginger industrial waste, which is currently discarded. Ginger industrial waste was collected from the ginger beverage industry. Essential oil was extracted from the waste using two methods: water distillation and CDSE. Both essential oils were characterized to determine their chemical components and composition, as well as their physical and chemical properties in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard for ginger essential oil (SNI 1312:2021). The characteristics analyzed included specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation, and chemical compound profile, as determinated using GC-MS. The yields of essential oil obtained from the water distillation and CDSE methods were 0.18% and 0.36%, respectively. The results of the specific gravity, refractive index, and optical rotation tests for the two methods did not differ significantly. The chromatogram profiles of the two methods also did not differ significantly. The study concluded that the CDSE method was superior to the water distillation method. The CDSE method is faster, requires no fuel, produces higher yields, and is environmentally friendly.

Abstract

Abstract

The Digital Simulation course consists of both theoretical and practical components, where students must first master the theory before engaging in practice. Theoretical knowledge is delivered through lectures and supplemented with online weblog materials about designing interactive learning media using the Peth Simulation application, focusing on the topic of fractions, and utilizing a website platform. To design interactive learning media on fractions using the Peth Simulation application and Google Sites as the website, students must understand the software application. By mastering the procedures for designing web-based interactive learning media using Peth Simulation, students are expected to produce outputs in the form of images and text. The issue examined in this study is whether there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students taught using a group discussion model and those without it. To address this issue, an experimental study was conducted at Universitas UPGRIS, specifically among fourth-semester undergraduate students majoring in Information Technology Education who were enrolled in the Digital Simulation course. The study involved one class, with an average of 32 students. A total of 30 students were selected as research subjects, divided into two groups of 15. Two types of data were collected in this study: (1) data from the group taught using group discussion regarding their ability to design web-based interactive learning media using Peth Simulation on the topic of fractions, and (2) data from the group without group discussion on the same task. The data were obtained through assignments and analyzed statistically using a t-test to determine the difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. The results of the t-test showed a significant difference in learning achievement, with the group that used the group discussion model performing significantly better in designing web-based interactive learning media using Peth Simulation on the topic of fractions than the group without group discussion. Keywords : Ability; Designing; Learning Media; Peth Simulation; Website.
