Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of communication and compensation both partially and simultaneously on employee performance in the Ciampea District office, Bogor Regency. The results showed that: (1) The results of the partial hypothesis test proved that communication had a positive and significant effect on employee performance in Ciampea District, Bogor Regency, with a t-count of 9.133 > t-table of 2.028 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. (2) The results of hypothesis testing partially prove that compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance in Ciampea District, Bogor Regency with a t count of 8.436 > t table of 2.028 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. (3) The results of simultaneous hypothesis testing prove that communication and compensation simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance in Ciampea District, Bogor Regency with an F count of 111,585 > F table of 2.866 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. (4) The results of the determination coefficient test obtained an adjusted R² value of 0.863. This proves that 86.3% of employee performance in Ciampea District, Bogor Regency is influenced by communication and compensation, while the remaining 13.7% is influenced by other variables which were not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the effect of compensation on employee performance; 2) The Effect of Work Motivation on Employee Performance; 3) The Effect of Compensation and Work Motivation jointly on the Performance of Public Bureau Employees of the Defense University in Sentul Bogor. The research design used is Ex-post facto. The sampling technique in this study used saturated sampling method, the sample in this study were 77 employees. Data collection techniques used in this study were documentation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: 1) There is a positive and significant effect of Compensation on Employee Performance with a correlation coefficient Rx1y of 0.474 and a coefficient of determination R2 x1y of 0.225, a tcount of 2.125 > ttable of 1.991. 2) There is a positive and significant effect of Work Motivation on Employee Performance with a correlation coefficient of 0.674 rx2y and a determination coefficient of 0.454 r2x2y, the price of tcount is 6.114 > ttable 1.991. 3) There is a positive and significant effect of Compensation and Work Motivation together on Employee Performance with a positive multiple correlation coefficient Ry(1.2) of 0.696 and a coefficient of determination R2 y(1.2) of 0.485, Fcount value of 5.440 > Ftable 2,14

Abstract

Supervision and Discipline is one of the efforts to improve the performance of employees/members, by managing supervision and discipline in the right way, it is expected to be able to improve the performance of employees/members in carrying out their assigned tasks properly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supervision and discipline on the performance of employees/members at the Bogor Regency Civil Service Police Unit. The type of research used is causality with a quantitative approach. The location of the research is the Office of the Civil Service Police Unit, Bogor Regency. The population of the study was members of the Bogor District Civil Service Police Assistance at the Command Headquarters with a total of 150 people. In this study, sampling was carried out using the Slovin formula and the results of the sampling were 110 people. The results of the study show that supervision and discipline simultaneously have an influence on the performance of the Bogor Regency Civil Service Police Assistance, this is proven based on the results of the F (simultaneous) test which is obtained the F count value is greater than F table, F count 59,206 > F table 3.08. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination test, the Adjusted R Square value is 0.516 or 51.6%. This shows that Discipline and Supervision simultaneously contribute to influencing the Performance of Personnel by 51.6%. While the remaining 48.4% is influenced by other factors which in the study were not discussed or studied.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the main objective of determining and analyzing the influence of work motivation, internal communication, and time management on employee performance, with a population of 30 employees at the Liberta Hub Hotel Blok M. The data collection technique used a Likert-sized questionnaire designed to explore respondents' perceptions regarding the variables studied. Furthermore, the data obtained was processed using Microsoft Excel 2018 and SPSS version 25 software to make the analysis results more measurable and accurate. The analytical method used was multiple linear regression, which was chosen because it was able to show the magnitude of the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable, namely employee performance. The results revealed that work motivation has a significant influence, where the higher the motivation of employees, the higher their performance. Internal communication also has a positive effect because the flow of clear, open, and effective information can support work coordination, reduce misunderstandings, and strengthen synergy within the team. In addition, time management has been shown to provide an important contribution, because the ability to manage work time well encourages efficiency, timely task completion, and optimal target achievement. Overall, this study confirms that work motivation, internal communication, and time management are factors that cannot be ignored in efforts to improve employee performance. The practical implications of this research result are expected to serve as a basis for the management of Hotel Liberta Hub Blok M to develop a more focused human resource development strategy, so that employee productivity continues to increase while supporting the provision of high-quality service to customers.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of organizational culture, work motivation, and work environment on job satisfaction at X Group. The research focuses on understanding how these factors contribute to employees' overall satisfaction with their work. The sampling technique employed is Non-Probability Sampling, using the accidental sampling method, which selects respondents based on their availability and willingness to participate. The study’s sample consists of 30 respondents from a total population of 40 employees. Data analysis was performed using multiple regression analysis, with SPSS version 22 and Microsoft Excel 2019 as the software tools. The results of the study indicate that Organizational Culture (X1) has a non-significant effect on job satisfaction, meaning that the organizational culture at X Group does not substantially influence employees' job satisfaction. On the other hand, Work Motivation (X2) was found to have a significant effect on job satisfaction, suggesting that higher levels of motivation in the workplace lead to greater job satisfaction. Additionally, the Work Environment (X3) also showed a non-significant effect on job satisfaction, indicating that environmental factors within the company have a minimal impact on employees' overall satisfaction. The findings suggest that while organizational culture and work environment may play a role in job satisfaction, work motivation is the most influential factor. These results can help guide strategies to improve employee job satisfaction at X Group.

Abstract

Waste management and environmental health remain major challenges in Leuweungkolot Village, potentially hindering the achievement of sustainable development. The situational analysis revealed that most residents lack awareness and skills in waste segregation and environmental health practices. This condition has led to household waste accumulation, low hygienic behavior, and limited institutional capacity at the village level to address environmental issues. The proposed solution through the Walinghealth program includes education, community mentoring, and the establishment of local groups focusing on waste management, recycling, and participatory-based health improvement. The program is integrated with institutional strengthening at the village level to ensure long-term sustainability. The implementation results show increased community awareness, the formation of local environmental groups, and the availability of a simple waste management system at the village level. Thus, the integration of the Walinghealth program provides tangible impacts for the community and supports the achievement of sustainable development goals at the village scale.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to study enzyme activity as biosensors for peatland degradation in oil palm plantations. The study was conducted in Pesisir Selatan,West Sumatra, on two peatlands with different thicknesses and location coordinates, namely peat with a thickness of <3 m S: 02o18'45.5", 101o00’37.3” and peat with a thickness >3 m S: 02o20’07.5”, E: 101o00’22”. The oil palm in these two locations is 11 years old (planting year of 2007). Observations and sampling of peatlands were carried out on the plantation blocks using the transect method. The transect was set perpendicular to the drainage canal. Peat samples were collected outside the roots (non-rhizosphere) of oil palm. Observation sites were at a distance of 5, 15, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150 m from the edge of the drainage canal and at the thickness of the root layer of 0-25 and 25-50 cm. Peat characteristics observed were water table level, laccase activity, water content, pH, total Fe, and Cu. The water table level in one transect ranged from 60-80 cm and was still within tolerable limits. The laccase activity as a peat degradation biosensor in oil palm plantations in Pesisir Selatan peatland was higher in the 0-25cm layer with an average of <0.5 µmol/g. The increase in water content decreased the laccase activity along with increasing of the distance from the drainage canal and the thickness of the peat layer. The increase in Fe and Cu resulted from increased levels of ash, particularly in peat with a thickness of <3 m, may suppress laccase activity. Peatland in the oil palm plantation of Pesisir Selatan is still relatively stable despite the decomposition processes characterized by laccase activity as a biosensor for peat degradation.

Abstract

Ecological restoration in former oil and gas extraction sites plays a vital role in promoting sustainable development. This study examines the socio-economic impacts of community-based ecological restoration efforts in Riau Province. This research used a qualitative case study design with purposive sampling. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis, then analyzed inductively to identify emerging patterns. The findings reveal that the revegetation program of PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan generated tangible benefits by employing 302 local workers and reducing conflicts through Local Business Development. A financial commitment of USD 1.4 million to local enterprises reflects the synergy between corporate environmental responsibility and community economic growth. The study underscores the importance of integrating corporate environmental initiatives with local economic strategies to foster sustainable development and enhance community well-being in post-extraction landscapes.
