Abstract

Studies on multiculturalism in Indonesia generally focus more on goals than on the process of achieving them. They emphasize the importance of tolerance, mutual respect, maintaining harmony, respecting differences, and so on. Ma'had Al-Zaytun is a modern Islamic boarding school which has students from various cultural, ethnic and regional backgrounds. This diversity gave rise to a multicultural reality which was addressed appropriately by the leadership of Ma'had Al-Zaytun, Sheikh Panji Gumilang. This can be an example for society to be able to realistically respond to multiculturalism in Indonesia. Community Service activities aim to understand community awareness about responding to the multicultural reality in Indonesia, especially what is happening in Ma'had al-Zaytun. The method used to convey this understanding is through outreach to the community specifically for administrators and members of the Global Mulia Human Foundation about multiculturalism in Indonesia. The result of this activity is that the community gets clear information to address multicultural realities and can implement it into everyday life. The form of coaching that is considered the most realistic is none other than providing provision through the delivery of learning materials and activities that are considered useful for the administrators and members of the Global Mulia Human Foundation. The Community Service Student Creativity Program is a means for students to carry out community service. The implementation of community service uses the face-to-face learning method delivered by the presenter

The implementation of the independent curriculum is a concept that is preferred in the world of education because it requires educators to show creativity in the learning process while allowing students to explore their potential and foster creativity, innovation, and independence. As with the new discourse, there are of course pros and cons to consider. Education serves as a means to form and achieve personal goals. Abstract

Kebaya is one of the traditional clothes in Indonesia. Kebaya is a top garment that has the characteristic of being open at the front and has long sleeves. Usually worn with a long cloth. One type of kebaya is kebaya encim. Kebaya encim is a traditional Betawi clothing that is synonymous with elements of Chinese culture. Kebaya encim is a blend of Betawi, Chinese and Malay cultures. At first, kebaya was worn by the nobles. Along with the development of the times and technology, kebaya can be used by all walks of life by leaving the old rules. Education is a process of changing attitudes towards a group of people in making efforts to grow up through learning and training efforts. Islamic education is an effort in the form of guidance and nurturing for students so that later after their education is completed, they can understand and practice the teachings of Islam and make it a view of life. Islamic education is education that is carried out based on Islamic teachings. Muslim women's clothing is clothing that is in accordance with Islamic religious law. Kebaya can be used as Muslim clothing if the kebaya model is adjusted to the provisions of Islamic law. The criteria for Muslim women's clothing are to cover the aurat, not transparent and not show the curves of the body. To fulfill the elements of Muslim women's clothing, it is necessary to modify the encim kebaya according to Islamic sharia by lengthening the length of the kebaya, lengthening the arms and by making the size larger than the body size so as not to form curves.

Extracurricular Islamic Spirituality (Kerohanian Islam) is carried out regularly every Saturday. The mentoring process usually takes place through the provision of educational materials using learning media and applications. We use three approaches when conducting extracurricular teaching activities in Kerohanian Islam: exploring the potential of members, a personal approach, and an ideal role model approach. Assessment in Islamic Spirituality activities includes exams recorded on the questions given, communication techniques, and internships. The inhibiting aspects are the short management period and the duration of Islamic Spirituality activities which are the same as other extracurricular activities. In the early stages of Islamic Spirituality mentoring, many of the Islamic Spirituality mentoring participants were XI students. Classes whose mental abilities and intelligence are low, are not mentally ready to become administrators. While the aspects that strengthen it include the facilities provided by the school, the financing of Islamic Spiritual activities, and the school's support for Islamic Spiritual activities. Through the implementation of Islamic Spirituality extracurricular guidance, students are able to develop their spiritual intelligence through tangible traits: a sense of closeness to Allah, determination, tawadu, honesty and patience.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between gender and allergy scores in children aged 0-12 years with allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis. The research utilized secondary data obtained from patient medical records, comprising 32 samples with 18 males and 14 females. Data were analyzed using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test to evaluate the relationship between two variables: gender (binomial data) and allergy score (ordinal, interval, or ratio scale). Results indicated that U₁ was 112 and U₂ was 140. According to the Mann-Whitney critical value table with n₁=14 and U₂=18 at a 95% confidence level, the critical value was 74. Since the lowest U value (U₁ = 112) is greater than the critical value (74), H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected. Therefore, there is a relationship between gender and allergy scores in children aged 0-12 years with allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis at RSIA Stella Maris, Medan. However, the statistical analysis suggests that this relationship is weak.

Abstract

Uncontrolled hypertension may result in numerous consequences; effective management is essential to regulate blood pressure in hypertensive individuals by both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. Isometric handgrip exercise is a non-pharmacological therapy. This study sought to assess the impact of isometric handgrip exercise on blood pressure in hypertensive individuals in Tenajar Lor Village, Kertasemaya District, Indramayu Regency. This research design employs a quasi-experimental framework featuring a two-group pre- and post-test methodology alongside a control group design. The study sample comprised 30 respondents, categorized into intervention and control groups. The isometric handgrip exercise intervention was conducted daily for five successive days. The Wilcoxon test results indicated that the intervention group had an average systolic mean rank of 8.00 with a p-value of 0.000, and a diastolic mean rank of 7.50 with a p-value of 0.000. The control group exhibited a mean rank of 2.00 for systolic measurements with a p-value of 0.083, and a mean rank of 3.13 for diastolic measurements with a p-value of 0.157. The Mann-Whitney test yielded the average blood pressure disparity between the intervention and control groups. The p-values obtained were 0.001 for systolic blood pressure and 0.006 for diastolic blood pressure (p < 0.05). This study concludes that isometric handgrip exercise influences blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Individuals with hypertension are advised to perform isometric handgrip exercises autonomously at home. Healthcare professionals, particularly nurses, implement isometric handgrip exercises to regulate blood pressure in individuals with hypertension.
