Abstract

Introduction: The prevalence of hypertension is still a global health problem, and efforts have been made to control and prevent it, including in Indonesia. However, the trend of high prevalence of hypertension and healthy lifestyle has not indicated a significant decrease, including in women of reproductive age. Objective: This study is to evaluate the lifestyle factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in women of reproductive age, so that evidence base practice can be used in prevention and control efforts. Methods: Observational study with case control design involving women of reproductive age with hypertension in Yosomulyo Primary Health Care, Metro city. Case group and control group with a ratio of 26: 26 were selected by consecutive sampling technique that fulfilled the research requirements. Hypertension data was collected using a digital tensimeter, while lifestyle factors data was collected using a questionnaire tool that has been tested for validity and reliability. The chi square test was used to prove the relationship between lifestyle risk factors and hypertension. Results: The results showed that lifestyle factors associated with women of reproductive age were obesity (OR=5.127; p=0.012), high sodium consumption (OR=14.00; p=0.000), experiencing stress (OR=8.80; p=0.002), and the use of hormonal contraception (OR=7.50; p=0.021). Meanwhile, exercise activity had no statistical association (p-value 0.404). Conclusion: Unhealthy lifestyle factors, such as obesity, excessive sodium consumption, stress and prolonged use of hormonal contraceptives increase the incidence of hypertension in women of reproductive age. Strengthening healthy lifestyle efforts by increasing education on hypertension risk factors to women of reproductive age is important for the prevention and control of hypertension. Abstract

Hospital solid waste is infectious waste, so it is included in the category of hazardous and toxic waste. One method of processing hospital solid waste is by burning it in an incinerator. The result of burning B3 waste at high temperatures is ash or known as bottom ash medical waste (BAMW). Ash from hospital waste processing is included in hazardous and toxic materials, so it needs to be handled properly. This study aims to process BAMW using the solidification/stabilization method. The BAMW processing product is paving blocks. The study was conducted by varying the composition of paving blocks. The variations carried out were the percentage of BAMW and its particle size. In addition, a Total Organic Carbon (TOC) level test was carried out on the water used to soak the paving blocks after being stored for 27 days. The results of the study showed that the higher the percentage of BAMW, the lower the compressive strength of the paving blocks, while the ability to absorb water and wear increased. The size of the BAMW particles also affects the quality of the paving blocks. The smaller the particle size, the better the quality of the paving blocks. Higher compressive strength indicates better quality of the paving blocks. The results of the analysis of the water used to soak the paving blocks showed that the TOC concentration was higher if the compressive strength decreased. BAMW can be used as an additional material for making paving blocks, but the composition should not be large.

Abstract

Many schools still use manual recording in borrowing and returning and there is no automation of library reports resulting in many lost books that cannot be traced. In addition, manual recording also risks not recording library materials because of the many borrowers who come. Library digitization training using the SliM application for 6 vocational schools where 4 vocational schools are in Tangerang district, 1 vocational school is in Karawang and 1 vocational school is in Malingping. The six vocational schools until the day of the training had not used the library application and were still using a conventional system by recording borrowing and returning books through a ledger although 3 schools had recorded books in Microsoft Excel but for borrowing and returning they still used manual. So it is necessary to conduct training in the use of the library application so that library materials owned by the school can be traced easily and databased and make it easier to print reports. The training was conducted at the Saba Karya Insan Pembangunan Auditorium with competent speakers, namely guided directly by librarians and Insan Pembangunan University itself has long implemented the SLiM application. Participants from 6 vocational schools were very enthusiastic in participating in this training and communication media was provided for participants if they still experienced problems using the application

Abstract

Indonesia has around 40 types of plants with essential oil content from a total of around 150 types of essential oils traded in the international market. Essential oils are produced from various parts of aromatic plants such as fruits, seeds, leaves, flowers, roots, stems, bark, and even the entire tree. One of the plants that contains and has the potential to produce essential oils is the zodia (Evodia suaveolens), especially the leaves. Evodone is one of the active compounds contained in the essential oil of zodia leaves which has the ability as a mosquito repellent. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of hydrodistillation, steam-hydrodistillation, and steam distillation in terms of yield, physical properties, and active insecticide compound content. A total of 1000 g of fresh zodia leaves were put into a distillation kettle either boiled, steamed, or in direct contact with steam for three hours at 100 °C and atmospheric pressure. The remaining water content in the essential oil from the distillate was then absorbed with Na2SO4. Furthermore, the water-free essential oil was tested for its physical properties consisting of density, optical rotation, refractive index, and color tests, and then its chemical composition was analyzed using GC-MS. The results showed that the yield for hydrodistillation, steam-hydrodistillation, and steam distillation were 0.37%; 0.43%; and 0.31%, respectively. From the optical rotation test, the essential oil from steam distillation had the lowest value indicating the highest level of purity compared to the other two methods. This is in accordance with the density and refractive index data, where the essential oil from steam distillation had the highest value, where the color was darker. Meanwhile, based on the results of GC-MS analysis, the highest active insecticide compound in the form of evodone was obtained from steam-hydrodistillation (14.25%), followed by hydrodistillation (7.62%), and steam distillation (4.81%).

Abstract

Abstraksi Community legal awareness is the main foundation in creating an orderly and harmonious social life. The role of the three pillars, namely Bhabinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas, and village officials, is a strategic element in building sustainable legal awareness. This study aims to analyse the synergy of the roles of the three pillars in increasing community understanding, compliance and awareness of the law. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and review of relevant documents. The results showed that collaboration between Bhabinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas, and village officials was effective in improving understanding of the law through education, mediation, and deliberation-based conflict resolution. Support from programmes such as law socialisation, joint patrols, and community empowerment also strengthen this synergy. However, the research also found several obstacles, such as limited resources, the level of community education, and resistance to changing habits. In conclusion, the three-pillar synergy contributes significantly to building community legal awareness in a sustainable manner. To achieve optimal sustainability, it is necessary to increase the capacity of human resources, adequate budget allocation, and support for wider community participation. Keywords: Three Pillars, Legal Awareness, Community
