Abstract

Every job requires human resources to improve the quality of work, one of the efforts to produce good quality work is to increase work productivity. The importance of productivity for nurses is an evaluation material to make continuous improvements to all components of the hospital, improving the quality of work by the hospital which plays an important role is the approach by leaders and a positive culture in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of leadership style and work culture to produktivity of  nurses. This type of research is analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The study population was all nurses at Mitra Medika Tanjung Mulia Hospital Medan as many as 145 people with 106 samples taken by simple random sampling technique. Analyzed using univariate, bivariate analysis using chi-square test with 95% confidence level, using multivariate logistic regression. The results showed that most of the leadership style less, namely 39 respondents (36.8%), work culture enough that 35 respondents (33.0%), labor productivity sufficiently at 42 respondents (39.6%). The results of the analysis of the influence of leadership style statistikmenunjukkan (p = 0.000), and the work culture p = 0.017) on the productivity of nurses in hospital  Mitra Medika Tanjung Mulia Medan in 2016. It is recommended to the hospital for further enhancing cooperation and better relations between the leaders with nurse in order to improve the productivity of nurses better.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of goodwill, research anddeveopment (RnD) as well as the intellectual capital of the firm's marketvalue. Sampling method used is purposive sampling with the followingcriteria: (1) the Issuer is in the manufacturing industry that registered sharesare actively traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period from2009 to 2013, (2) the Issuer to publish a full annual financial statements forthe period December 31, 2009 - December 31, 2013, (3) the Issuer has arecord stock price at the close end of the year, (4) the Issuer has the value ofintangible assets is positive and (5) Has the complete data related to thevariables used in this study.Based on these criteria, of the 142 companies listed in the IndonesiaStock Exchange acquired 28 companies were used as a sample. Analyzerused to test the hypothesis of this study is multiple regression analysis.Theresult showed that (1) Goodwill negatively effect the market value of thecompany, (2) Research and development (RnD) positive effect about themarket value of the company and (3) Intellectual capital positive effect on themarket value of the company.

Abstract

Companies that want to develop and adapt to times must improve the quality of human resources in it. Improving the quality of human resources in the company will make employees carry out work in a professional, responsible and good attitude and can help companies meet increasingly complex market demands in the era of globalization. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style, work motivation, and rewards on the performance of employees in the main production department at PT. Samsung Electronics Indonesia, either partially or simultaneously. This research is a quantitative study and the analytical tools in this study use the SPSS version 24 application with instrument test results in the form of validity tests, reliability tests, analytical methods using multiple linear regression analysis tests, classical assumption tests (normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test), hypothesis testing (t test and f test) and test the coefficient of determination. With a population of 340 and the sample technique used in this study is random sampling so that the total sample is 77 respondents based on the calculation of the slovin formula. The results of the calculation obtained t test of leadership style on performance obtained t count results greater than t Tabel (-4.302>-1.669), work motivation t test on performance obtained t count greater than t Tabel (4.936> 1.669) and reward t the performance test obtained by t count is greater than t Tabel (4.161> 1.669) and the results of the f test obtained the value of f count is greater than f Tabel (27.334). Referring to the test results, it can be concluded that leadership style, work motivation and rewards have a significant effect on employee performance both partially and simultaneously. In addition, it is also known based on testing that simultaneously leadership style, work motivation and rewards affect performance by 51%.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe about Persuasive Strategies Used by Dr. Zakir Naik in his Speech in Oxford Union with Theme Islam and the 21st Century. The background of this research is the speech that uttetrances by Dr. Zakir Naik are very give influence toward the audiences. The purpose of this study was (1) would like to find out types of persuasive strategies used by Dr. Zakir Naik in Oxford Union with theme Islam and 21st Century (2) would like to find out the ways of persuasive strategies are apply in the speech that used by Dr. Zakir Naik in Oxford Union with theme Islam and 21st century. This research used the theory of Gorys Keraf to find out types of persuasive strategies and used the theory of Aristotles to analysed the ways of apply persuasive strategies in the speech. This research used descriptive qualitative method to analyze the data. The object of this research is Dr. Zakir Naik speech in Oxford Union with theme Islam and 21st Century. The result of this research, there are types of persuasive strategies that found in Dr. Zakir Naik speech in Oxford Union with theme Islam and 21st century, there are 10 data indicated as rationalization strategy, 2 data indicated as identification, 8 data indicated as suggestion,4 data indicated as conformity, 1 indicated as compensation, 16 indicated as projection and 15 indicated as displacement. Then, also found the ways of persuasive strategies are apply in Dr. Zakir Naik speech in Oxford Union, there are 4 include as appeal to emotion, 9 include as showing evidence, 7 include as personal character of the speaker.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems is an ability that needs to be mastered by students. However, in fact the ability of students' mathematical problem solving is relatively low. This is caused by one of them using inappropriate learning media. Therefore we need learning media that can help students to practice their mathematical problem solving abilities. The media in question is digital comics based on realistic mathematics education (RME). So the purpose of this study was to look at the effect of digital comics based on realistic mathematics education (RME) on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method using The Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The results of statistical analysis obtained Sig. (2-tailed) in the output equal variances not assumed 0.000, where the value of Sig. (2-tailed) obtained is less than 0.05 or it can be said that 0.000 <0.05. So, based on the decision-making results of the analysis of this hypothesis test, it can be concluded that if "Significant level <0.05, then is rejected". It can be concluded that is accepted or it can be said that from the results of this analysis it can be concluded that there is an effect of digital comics based on realistic mathematics education (RME) on students' mathematical problem solving abilities

Abstract

This research aims to determine the involvement of parents in educational services for children with special needs. When the potential talent of a child with special needs emerges, parents are generally the first to know about it. Based on the parents' observations, everything that is in the child is then informed to the teacher so that action can be taken through a learning program for children with special needs. Through this educational program, it is hoped that they can develop their talents. The research method used is a qualitative method, and uses the library research method.

Abstract

Drug abuse is currently a serious concern, involvingvarious groups of society such as students, students, teachers,lecturers, TNI/POLRI, DPR, and even state officials. IndonesianPresident Joko Widodo even called this situation a "DrugEmergency Status." This crime can be categorized as anextraordinary crime. Especially among students and universitystudents, drug abuse is very concerning because they are the nextgeneration of the nation. To prevent this, counseling was held tothe community at RW 08 located in Marga Mulya, North Bekasi.This service activity offers solutions in the form of seminars andeducation on drug-related concepts and rules, as well as anunderstanding of the dangers of drug abuse and early preventionefforts especially among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the influence of auditor experience, auditor expertise, auditor ethics, and time budget pressures on audit performance. In this study, there are 5 variables, namely auditor performance as a dependent variable while auditor experience, auditor expertise, auditor ethics, and time budget pressure as independent variables. The subject of this study was an auditor who worked at a public accounting firm in the West Jakarta Region. The number of samples in this study was 6 Public Accounting Firms and 70 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a 5-point likert scale. This study in analyzing the data using multiple linear regression with the help of the Statistical Product for Service Solution (SPSS) program version 26. The results showed that auditor experience and auditor ethics did not have a significant effect on auditor performance, while auditor expertise and time budget pressures had a significant effect on auditor performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh nilai tukar rupiah dan harga internasional terhadap nilai ekspor kopi Indonesia. Data penelitian ini mengunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh langsung dari Kementrian Perdagangan, Internasional Coffee Organization, dan Badan Pusat Statistik. Analisis yang digunakan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan model analisis linear berganda (Ordinary Least square). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Nilai Tukar Rupiah tidak berpengaruh terhadap Nilai Ekspor Kopi di Indonesia pada tahun 2004 – 2021. Harga Kopi Internasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Nilai Ekspor Kopi di Indonesia pada tahun 2004 – 2021. Nilai Tukar Rupiah dan Harga Kopi Internasional secara bersama atau simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Nilai Ekspor Kopi di Indonesia pada tahun 2004 – 2021.

Abstract

The development of the internet and technology is currently growing so that it provides many benefits but also negative impacts. For children who are still underage, the problem that is often encountered is the spread of fake news or more commonly known as hoaxes. This is the background of this PKM activity to contribute to the community, especially 7th grade students at SMP NU Palangka Raya. This PKM activity aims to teach critical listening and thinking skills to provide a better understanding of the existence of hoaxes, and train students to be more critical in filtering the information they receive. The activity was conducted for 7th grade students with 2 different classes at SMP NU Palangka Raya. This PKM method uses participatory observation. The results of the observation showed that classes 7-1 and 7-2 were active in this service activity. However, class 7-1 was more interactive than class 7-2. This activity makes a positive contribution in shaping a smarter and more critical young generation in the use of social media
