Abstract

This study aims at investigating the effect of youtube tutorials on mental computation competency among pre-service teachers. Mental computation might be viewed as a relatively new term among students and teachers. Therefore, introducing it to them need various methods and approaches. This study provided extra online material posted on youtube as a learning resource for pre-service teachers. The method used in this study was pre-experimental research with the type of one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was Indonesian pre-service teachers and the sample was chosen by the technique of purposive sampling. The sample was from four universities in Indonesian, three public universities and one private university. The data were collected and analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The quantitative approaches used in this study were the wilcoxon test and N-gain value. The result of the study showed that youtube tutorials have a significant impact on the improvement of pre-service teachers’ competency of mental computation.

Abstract

Employee performance is one of the factors that is very influential in the work system, whether an organization or institution, and whether an agency is good or not can be seen from how well its employees perform. To avoid the bad side of employee performance, adequate competency and Quality of Work Life is needed, so that it can improve the quality and more optimal performance of an organization. This research aims to identify the effect of Competency on Employee Performance through strengthening the Quality of Work Life (for Widyagama University Malang Employees). The issue raised in this research is improving the performance of employees who are felt to have not achieved perfect grades. The population in this study were 73 permanent employees who worked at Widyagama University Malang. Data is processed using the Smart Partial Square (PLS) software application. The research results show that good competency can improve employee performance. Good competencies can improve the quality of work life. Good quality of work life can improve employee performance. Good competencies can improve employee performance through quality of work life.

Abstract

The development of squid floss products as an innovation in the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector in Keruak Village, East Lombok Regency, is a strategic effort to enhance the added value and competitiveness of local fishery products. Keruak Village holds significant potential in the fisheries industry; however, limitations in processing technology and marketing have constrained this sector's contribution to the local economy. This study aims to examine the innovation process of squid floss products, identify the challenges faced by MSME actors, and evaluate the economic and social impacts of this innovation on the local community. However, challenges such as limited access to technology and markets still need to be addressed to ensure the sustainability of this innovation.

Abstract

The attention of ‘Umar bin Ahmad Baraja (L. 1913M/W. 1990 M) to the morals of children is very high. ‘Umar bin Ahmad Baraja requires children to have noble morals since childhood, namely by seeking the pleasure of Allah swt., loving their families, and all humans. This is why‘Umar bin Ahmad Baraja ‘wrote several books on moral education, in the form of Al-Akhlak li Al-Banin published in for volumes (volumes one to for), and the book Al-Akhlak li Al-Banat which was published in there volumes. Focus this research is the books Al-Akhlak li Al-Banin volume one, published in Surabaya by Maktabah Ahmad bin Said bin Nabhan and Awladih. The contents of the book of Al-Akhlak li Al-Banin volume one is written in simple language so that it is easy to understand and systematic learning of morals. The focus of discussion is in accordance with the objective, namely, the delivery of moral values to children. Meanwhile, the purpose of moral formation in this book is to produce children who are useful in this world and in the hereafter.

Abstract

Law enforcement carried out by the Aceh Syar'iyah Court cannot be separated from the bureaucracy which is one of the vehicles in the implementation of judicial power. Bureaucracy is a determining factor in the success of the entire program agenda including in the framework of realizing a clean and free judicial apparatus from KKN so that the bureaucrats in the Aceh Syar'iyah Court can realize good governance (good governance). The Aceh Syar'iyah Court in carrying out all activities related to the interests of the Appellate Court, both administrative, financial and organizational in nature, is obliged to be accountable for the implementation of its duties, functions and roles in the management of resources, and sources of funds and authorities entrusted to the public referring to the Decree of the Secretary of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: MA / SEK / 07 / SK / III / 2006 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the Secretariat of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia as one of the state / government institutions in accordance with the Decree of the People's Consultative Assembly Number: XI / MPR / 1998 concerning the Implementation of a Clean and Corruption-Free State, Collusion and Nepotism and Presidential Instruction Number: 7 of 1999 concerning Accountability of Government Agency Performance. The legal research method is a systematic way of conducting research. Normative legal research uses normative case studies in the form of legal behavior products, for example reviewing laws. The results of this study explain that first, the Syar'iyah Court only carry out its functions within the scope of the authority of the Religious Court in the field of marriage, inheritance, will, grant, waqaf, zakat, infaq, sadaqah and sharia economy, whereas criminal matters are only limited to matters alcohol(liquor), solitude (pervert),gambling(gambling). Second, the authority of the Sharia Court is no longer limited to certain civil matters, but also covers the fields of mu'amalah and jinayah. However, in fact, the laws and regulations concerning the duties of the Sharia Court are still incomplete and thisThis is one of the problems faced. While Law Number 48 of 2009 no longer explains about the Syar'iyah Court until the position and the authority of the Sharia Court in Aceh becomes unclear

Abstract

Asymmetric warfare involving state and non-state actors in modern conflicts poses serious challenges to the implementation of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). This study analyzes the mismatch in the identification of combatants, the problems surrounding civilian protection, and accountability for violations within the context of asymmetric conflicts. The findings indicate that the ambiguity of combatant status and the strategic use of civilians as human shields hinder the application of fundamental IHL principles, such as distinction and proportionality. Moreover, international legal enforcement mechanisms continue to face significant limitations in prosecuting violations, particularly those committed by non-state actors. This study recommends strengthening adaptive legal frameworks and establishing effective accountability mechanisms to ensure the protection of human rights and legal order in asymmetric conflict situations. The research contributes significantly to the development of humanitarian law that is responsive to the dynamics of contemporary conflicts.

Abstract

Teachers’ success in teaching and learning process depends on how she/he propel his/her students to learn. There are two contradictory points of view. On one hand, teachers want their students to become active and self-confident in learning, while on the other hand, students consider that the process of teaching and learning activities is the teachers’ responsibility. This often makes students passive, and they just sit and wait for whatever the teachers are going to give them. The teacher has responsibilities not only for giving the input of transferring knowledge or competence, but also teaching them how to study. The purpose of writing this paper is to provide an alternative to improving the process of teaching and learning activities. It is based on the observation that reading comprehension is still at a low level, and it should be improved. The improvement can be done through more exposure to learning strategies. Students’ self-consciousness on how important learning strategies are makes students to autonomous. It is suggested to do more seminars and research on language learning strategies for making the improve of teaching and learning quality and to gain more knowledge and experience.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the method of understanding the meaning and key word in learning tahfiz Al-Qur'an at Rumah Tahfiz Nurul Islam Ulak Karang Padang, and analyze its impact on the quality of memorization and understanding of students. The background of this research is the need for tahfiz methods that do not only focus on verbal memorization, but also encourage understanding of the content of the verse. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies of learning activities at Tahfiz House. The results showed that the implementation of the method was carried out through three main stages, namely orientation of the meaning of the verse through lafziyyah translation, identification of keywords for each verse, and integration between memorization and understanding. This method is proven to be able to improve the students' memory, strengthen the emotional connection to the memorized verse, and encourage active participation in the class. Nevertheless, several obstacles were found, such as differences in the basic abilities of students, limited learning time, and lack of parental involvement. Solutions implemented include classification of learning levels, enrichment of learning modules, teacher training, and strengthening the synergy between home and institutions. This study concludes that the method of understanding meaning and key words is effective in creating a meaningful and contextualized memorization process, and is relevant to be applied in various Qur'anic education institutions.

Abstract

The emergence of radicalism in the context of Indonesia's digital era poses a significant concern for family institutions. Family resilience systems and understanding of religious moderation values ​​are important to build simultaneously. This study examines the integration and internalization of religious moderation values within family institutions, intending to mitigate the propagation of radicalism in Indonesia during its digital era. This study employs a qualitative research method with a conceptual approach. The data utilized in this study are secondary data derived from journal articles, online mass media, books, reports, and documents obtained through literature reviews. Then, the data analysis method uses interactive qualitative based on Froma Walsh's family resilience theory. The findings of this study suggest that the notion of family resilience, grounded in the integration and internalization of religious moderation, can be operationalized through the establishment of a moderate religious system pattern, an intricate nuclear family structure, and transparent interpersonal communication. This study offers a pragmatic reference for families seeking to enhance their resilience against the threat of deviant religious beliefs in Indonesia's digital era. Furthermore, it can serve as a policy consideration regarding the internalization of religious moderation values within the family institution in the Pusaka Sakinah program at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Abstract

This study explores the institutional dynamics of cooperatives within the core-plasma partnership program in the oil palm plantation sector in East Kalimantan. The program is designed to bridge the relationship between core companies and plasma farmers, aiming to establish a mutually beneficial and sustainable partnership. In practice, cooperatives play a strategic role as intermediaries and collective representatives of plasma farmers. However, their role is often limited to administrative functions, with minimal involvement in strategic decision-making processes such as plantation management and profit-sharing arrangements. Using a descriptive-analytical approach based on field data from several plantation areas in East Kalimantan, this research examines key institutional aspects such as governance, transparency, member participation, and power relations between cooperatives and core companies. The findings reveal a significant imbalance in these relationships, as well as weak institutional capacity and low member literacy and engagement. Nevertheless, the study also identifies opportunities for strengthening cooperatives through external support, internal reforms, technological adoption, and multi-stakeholder partnerships. The study concludes that systematic and inclusive institutional strengthening of cooperatives is essential to realizing a more equitable, transparent, and sustainable partnership model.
