Abstract

Rasau Jaya is part of Kubu Raya Regency, located close to the administrative center of West Kalimantan Province. Economic growth in Kubu Raya Regency is also supported by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which serve as one of the key drivers of the local economy. One of the MSME groups with significant development potential is the group managed by the Badan Kontak Majelis Taklim (BKMT) of Kubu Raya Regency. Of the nine groups, four MSMEs previously obtained halal certification, but the certificates have expired. The remaining groups have not yet applied for certification due to limited access to information. As commonly understood, halal certification has become a necessity and can serve as a marketing strategy and product-branding development tool to support market expansion. The method used in this Community Service Program (PKM) involved conducting outreach and training sessions to provide information, enhance understanding, and explain the technical procedures for submitting halal certification applications. During the activities, participants demonstrated strong enthusiasm as they received more detailed and in-depth information about the concept and principles of halal, halal ingredients and production processes, identification of critical control points related to product halalness, understanding of halal regulations, and the processes and technical aspects involved in obtaining halal certification. Prior to the activity, participants were given a questionnaire to assess their general understanding of halal certification. After the outreach and training sessions were completed, they were given another questionnaire to measure changes in their understanding of halal and halal certification. The evaluation results indicate an improvement in participants’ comprehension and demonstrate the effectiveness of the PKM activity in achieving its objectives. This PKM activity is also expected to produce an academic article to be published in an ISSN-registered community service journal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of organic fertilizer use in corn farming in Ulu Ere District, Bantaeng Regency. The study involved eight farmers, two extension workers from the Department of Agriculture, and two consumers of mustard greens who used organic fertilizer as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and a SWOT analysis to assess the internal and external conditions in the use of organic fertilizer. The results showed that the external value (opportunities and threats) was at 2.76, while the internal value (strengths and weaknesses) reached 2.92. The proposed strategy is to increase socialization regarding the use of organic fertilizer, reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers, and increase farmers' knowledge and skills in the use of organic fertilizers. This is expected to help farmers reach export markets and improve land management systems for sustainable agriculture. Organic fertilizer is considered to have great potential to improve the quality and productivity of corn farming in Ulu Ere District, while supporting agricultural sustainability.

Abstract

The enactment of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Indonesian Criminal Code (the National Criminal Code) marks a fundamental shift from a colonial criminal law framework toward a national legal system grounded in substantive justice and the protection of human rights. Nevertheless, at the practical level, the implementation of these progressive norms is frequently constrained by a gap between law in books and law in action. This study examines the termination of prosecution in the Hogi Minaya case by the Sleman District Prosecutor’s Office as a critical intersection of prosecutorial discretion, socio-political pressure, and institutional risk management. Employing an interdisciplinary approach that integrates responsive criminal law theory and public risk management, the study reveals a significant implementation gap at the operational level of law enforcement agencies. The findings indicate that law enforcement authorities tend to adopt a defensive law enforcement approach to mitigate procedural accountability risks, which in turn leads to the marginalization of justificatory grounds under Article 34 of the National Criminal Code until legislative intervention occurs. This research proposes a new framework for understanding prosecutorial discretion not merely as a technical legal instrument, but as a form of strategic risk response aimed at preserving the legitimacy of the criminal justice system.

Abstract

The problem of hunger remains a challenge in Indonesia, influenced by rising prices of necessities, dependence on food imports, and poor access to quality food for people experiencing poverty. In this context, Islamic Microfinance offers a relevant approach to support food security in line with the Zero Hunger goal of the SDGs. As the country with the largest Muslim population, Indonesia has an excellent opportunity to optimize sharia principles in microfinance services. Islamic Microfinance provides fair, transparent, riba-free, and inclusive financing for small farmers and micro-entrepreneurs in the food sector. This study aims to analyze the contribution of Islamic Microfinance to food security through a literature review using secondary data from relevant journals, books, and documents. The method used is a descriptive, qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that institutions such as BMT play an essential role in providing sharia financing through Murabahah, Qard al-Hasan, and Mudharabah contracts, which effectively increase access to capital and enhance business sustainability. These findings confirm that Islamic Microfinance is an instrument of empowerment and a strategy to strengthen food security, thereby requiring synergy among the government, sharia financial institutions, and the community.

Abstract

Broiler chickens are a poultry commodity that has promising business prospects due to their short rearing time, rapid growth, and high demand for meat. However, high feed costs, which reach 60–70% of total production costs, are a major obstacle in this business. One alternative to reduce feed costs is to utilize local feed ingredients with high nutritional value, such as moringa leaf flour (Moringa oleifera). Moringa leaves contain protein, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that are beneficial for the growth of broiler chickens, so they have the potential to be an economical feed substitute. This study aims to determine the economic feasibility of a broiler chicken business with moringa leaf flour substitution in feed, through analysis of production costs, revenue, income, R/C ratio, and Break Even Point (BEP). The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Abulyatama University, Blang Bintang District, Aceh Besar Regency, for four weeks in February–March 2025. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications, namely: P0 (100% commercial feed), P1 (97% commercial feed + 3% moringa leaf flour), P2 (94% commercial feed + 6% moringa leaf flour), and P3 (91% commercial feed + 9% moringa leaf flour). The results showed that production costs between treatments were relatively similar and not statistically significantly different. Descriptively, the highest income, revenue, and R/C ratio values were obtained in treatment P3, while treatment P1 showed the lowest results. The lowest BEP value was also found in treatment P3, which indicates a better level of business efficiency. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the substitution of moringa leaf flour did not have a significant effect on all observed economic parameters (P>0.05). However, the use of moringa leaf flour up to 9% in broiler chicken rations shows more profitable economic potential and can be used as an alternative feed in an effort to increase the efficiency of broiler chicken farming businesses.

Abstract

Moringa leaves ( Moringa oleifera ) are plants that have high nutritional content, including protein, calcium, vitamin C, iron, and bioactive compounds such as flavonoids and phenolics that function as natural antioxidants. These contents make Moringa leaves potential as an alternative ingredient in poultry feed, especially broiler chickens, to support the immune system while improving carcass quality. This study aims to determine the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf flour substitution in rations on broiler chicken carcass production which will be carried out in Bueng Sidom Village, Blang Bintang District, Aceh Besar Regency using a Completely Randomized Design with four treatments and four replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (100% commercial ration), P1 (97% commercial ration + 3% moringa leaf flour), P2 (94% commercial ration + 6% moringa leaf flour), and P3 (91% commercial ration + 9% moringa leaf flour). The parameters observed included live weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and percentage of carcass parts such as thighs, wings, and breasts . Data were analyzed using SPSS 22. The results showed that substitution of moringa leaf flour up to 9% did not have a significant effect on all parameters observed statistically. However, descriptively there were variations in the trend of results in each treatment. P2 showed the best value for live weight and carcass weight, P1 for carcass and wing percentage, P0 for thigh percentage, and P3 for breast percentage. In conclusion, substitution of moringa leaf flour in broiler chicken rations did not have a significant effect on carcass performance, so the null hypothesis (H0) was accepted. Nevertheless, this study provides an initial overview of the potential of moringa leaves as a highly nutritious natural feed ingredient for broiler chickens.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility and marketing strategy of Hanif Farm's egg-laying chicken farming business located in Lubuk Sukon Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency. The research method used is a quantitative approach for financial analysis and qualitative-descriptive for marketing analysis. All members of the population were sampled (census). Primary data were obtained through interviews and observations, while secondary data were obtained from financial records and business documentation. The results show that financially, Hanif Farm's business is very feasible and profitable. This is evidenced by the monthly net profit of Rp. 8,583,333.00. Break Even Point (BEP) analysis in units shows the break-even point at 2,081 eggs, which falls lower than the monthly production volume. Furthermore, the Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio) value is Rp 1.29 per income. In the marketing aspect, the strategy implemented is still traditional, with the main strengths being product quality and word-of-mouth promotion. Weaknesses identified are dependence on collectors, which limits market reach and profit optimization. Based on the SWOT analysis, there is a significant opportunity to expand the market by leveraging simple digital promotions. In conclusion, Hanif Farm is a profitable business, but it needs to diversify its distribution channels and begin implementing digital marketing to boost business growth.
