Abstract

ABSTRACT Racial discrimination is a social problem that occurred from a long time until today. It can be any negative act such as exclusion, distinction, limitation, or preference for other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, or skin color. Some racial discrimination that happened in our real life is also seen in film as a reflection of real life. There are many films that raise the racial discrimination theme, one of them is Race film by Stephen Hopkins. This research aims to analyze the Racial discrimination specifically types of racial discrimination used Fred L.Pincus theory, and negative impacts of racial discrimination used Settle theory. This research was conducted by using qualitative method. In this research, the researcher took data from script and scene in the film. The results of the research show that there are nine data indicated as types of racial discrimination and five data indicated as the negative impact of racial discrimination against black people in the Race film. In this research, there are three types of racial discrimination that are portrayed in the Race film namely, individual discrimination, institutional discrimination, and structural discrimination. There are three types of negative impacts of racial discrimination toward the blacks namely, health problem, wellbeing problem, and influence emotional reaction. Keywords: film, impacts of racial discrimination, racial discrimination

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe word Prejudice or Prejudice lately can be defined as a preconceived thought or opinion about a person or a group solely based on the particular culture, ethnicity, gender, or religion that that person or group has. In literary works, the word prejudice or prejudice can be seen through a character or a group and even forms of prejudice can also be formed from within oneself. This study aims and discusses the forms of prejudice in Joseph Conrad's novella entitled Heart of Darkness. The purpose of this study is to identify the forms of prejudice formed by Marlow's character towards the African Congo ethnicity and to describe how the author characterizes these forms of prejudice in Marlow. This research focuses on the experience of prejudice or prejudice that is formed in Marlow's character.This research aims to identify the superior and inferior races in the novella Heart of Darkness. This study uses the Theory of Prejudice from Gordon Allport and Narrative Fiction from Rimmon Kennan to apply this research. In this literature, researcher used qualitative research methods. The results of this study indicated that antilocution (negro, and black people) several brands of stereotypes or prejudices given to African society by superior race (white people) and discrimination (exile, forced labor etc). The dominant data were found such as antilocution, and physical attack and the least found is Extermination. The highlights  are in the Novel in Heart of Darknessthe forms of society that white people do prejudices to other races and still happen in the modern era right now. Keywords: Prejudice, Narrative, Superior, Inferior.

Abstract

The process discharge of patients in hospital Masmitra is still not optimal, because there is no groove that describes the process of returning the patient as a whole. By applying the concept of Lean, value stream mapping current conditions which shows that the process of returning patients there were 41 activities and only 51% are value added, and of course has implications for wastage. From the analysis of the root causes of acquired ideas repair, and then carried into the re-design of the new process flow is considered ideal to produce a total of only 17 activities, 83% of which is value added. With the implementation of Lean Concept in RS Masmitra, expected efficiency will also occur when the work is done in accordance with what is required by the patient, right time, the right size and right on target.

Abstract

Identity and local cultural heritage are different aspects, but having played important elements which create character, identity which must be preserve and maintain properly. The paper aims to analyze and examine the public policy formulation of Regional Regulation (Peraturan Daerah) number 2 of 2021 concerning the ornament building with special identity of South Sumatera. The study is undertaken through qualitative methods, through modelling case study in Palembang, applying with the Multiple Streams Framework (MSF) to highlight how several elements or streams interact to affect the acceptance of particular policies. This paper reveals that, the Regional Regulation has successfully ratified though the important role of Governor as policy entrepreneurial. Therefore, by applying MSF theory has utilizes public policy process in the preservation cultural heritage in South Sumatera context. It also recommends further policy through the establishment of cultural heritage conservation agencies, which can collaborate with local communities, researchers, and experts to develop effective preservation strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk Gandasil B dan Tanijau serta interaksinya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman semangka.Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Anggana, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan April 2018 sampai bulan Juni 2018. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola Faktorial 3 x 3 yang diulang sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali. Faktor Pertama adalah Pupuk Gandasil B (G) yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) taraf yaitu: tanpa dosis Gandasil B (g0), 1 g/liter pupuk Gandasil B (g1), 3 g/liter pupuk Gandasil B (g2). Faktor kedua adalah dosis Tanijau (T) yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) taraf yaitu tanpa dosis Tanijau (t0), 1 kg/tanaman pupuk Tanijau (t1), 3 kg/tanaman pupuk Tanijau (t2).Perlakuan Pupuk Tanijau berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada umur 20, 40, 60 hari setelah tanam, berat buah per tanaman, dan diameter buah pertanaman.Namun, berpengaruh tidak nyata dengan umur berbunga dan umur panen. Berat buah tertinggi per tanaman dihasilkan pada perlakuana t2 (dosis 3 kg/tanaman) yaitu 70,47 ton/ha, Sedangkan yang teren dah terdapat pada perlakuan t0 ( tanpa dosis Pupuk Tanijau) yaitu 51,91 ton/ha.Perlakuan Gandasil B berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada umur 20, 40, 60 hari setelah tanam, berat buah per tanaman dan diameter buah per tanaman. Namun, berpengaruh tidak nyata dengan umur berbunga dan umur panen. Berat buah tertinggi per tanaman dihasilkan pada perlakuan g2 (dosis 3 g/liter) yaitu 64,52 ton/ha, Sedangkan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan g0 ( tanpa dosis Gandasil B) yaitu 57,56 ton/ha.Interkasi perlakuan Pupuk Tanjau (T) x Gandasil B (G) berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 20, 40, 60 hari setelah tanam, berat buah per tanaman, dan diameter buah per tanaman. Namun, berpengaruh tidak nyata dengan umur berbunga dan umur panen.

Abstract

To ensure the company survives and succeeds, management must maintain and enhance existing resources, including employee performance, as improved performance contributes to the company's productivity. This study aims to investigate the direct effects of transformational leadership and direct compensation on employee performance and their impact on work discipline at PT Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. The method used is quantitative, with a population and sample size of 45 sales employees. The results indicate that transformational leadership and direct compensation have a significant impact on employee performance and work discipline, with t-statistics greater than 1.96. Additionally, transformational leadership positively influences performance through work discipline, while direct compensation does not show an indirect effect on employee performance through work discipline

Abstract

Performance has a very important meaning in a company to achieve large profits because it can make a large contribution to company profits. The better a person's performance in the company, the more profits the company will receive. Of the many factors that influence employee performance, one of them is the employee's own personality and job satisfaction.The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of personality on employee performance at PT Ocean Industry, to determine the influence of job satisfaction on employee performance at PT Ocean Industry, to determine the simultaneous influence of personality and job satisfaction on employee performance at PT Ocean Industry.The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The variables in this research consist of the dependent variable, namely employee performance, while the independent variables are personality and job satisfaction. The population in this research is 800 production employees at PT. Ocean Industry with a sample size of 90 employees.He results of the research show that based on the results of the t test the personality variable obtained a t_count value of 5,477 > t_tabel (1.662), the results of the t test for the job satisfaction variable obtained a t_count value (12,510) > t_tabel (1.662) and the F test results obtained an F_count value of 87,416 > F_tabel ( 3.95).The conclusion of this research is that personality influences employee performance, job satisfaction influences employee performance, simultaneously personality and job satisfaction influence employee performance. The percentage of employee performance variables that can be explained by the independent variables is shown by the R Square value, which is 0.668. It can be concluded that the magnitude of the influence of personality and satisfaction on employee performance is 66.8%, while the remaining 33.2% is explained by other variables not examined in this research

Abstract

Aquaponics is an agricultural system that combines fish and plant cultivation in one closed system. In an aquaponics system, the water used for fish cultivation is also used to irrigate plants with rice aquaponics as one example. However, monitoring and controlling aquaponic systems is still done manually, which has many shortcomings, including requiring a relatively long time and accuracy that is not guaranteed, especially in large-scale aquaponics management. Implementing the fuzzy algorithm in the rice aquaponics control system aims to make it easier for farmers to monitor the condition of the rice and control the water change system in the pond in real time via the Blynk application on their smartphone. This system combines ESP-32 technology, fuzzy algorithms, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor and control the rice aquaponics system. The results of data collection from the implementation of the fuzzy algorithm in the rice aquaponics control system show that the tool functions well. This tool can monitor the condition of rice and control the water change system in the pond in real time using the Blynk application. The level of accuracy of implementing the fuzzy algorithm for monitoring rice conditions was 99.61% and the accuracy of implementing the fuzzy algorithm for pump control of the water change system was 98.95%.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) producing kerupuk tike in Domas Village, Pontang District, through training in financial management and digital marketing. Based on the background, MSMEs in the village face challenges in effective financial management and marketing. The method used involves interactive training and mentoring, which are expected to improve the participants' knowledge and skills. The research results show a significant increase in financial management understanding, with participants’ knowledge rising from 30-40% to 70-80% after the training. Additionally, the use of social media and e-commerce platforms successfully increased average monthly sales from IDR 1,500,000 to IDR 3,500,000. Participants' motivation to develop their businesses also improved, as indicated by an increase in monthly transactions from 15 to 30. Despite challenges in consistently applying the learned skills, the need for long-term mentoring is crucial to ensure the sustainability of the taught methods. In conclusion, this community service activity positively impacts the MSMEs in Domas Village, with capacity improvements that can support their future business success

Abstract

Abstrak. Program peningkatan minat baca ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan keterampilan literasi anak-anak melalui pendekatan interaktif dan kolaboratif. Kegiatan rutin membaca bersama menunjukkan dampak positif, terutama pada peningkatan partisipasi aktif, keterlibatan emosional, dan kepercayaan diri anak-anak. Sesi diskusi setelah membaca cerita juga membantu mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis dan membangun empati melalui pertukaran perspektif. Program ini memanfaatkan media interaktif, termasuk papan cerita dan aplikasi digital berbasis permainan, yang terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman kosakata dan daya ingat. Selain membaca, anak-anak diajak untuk menulis cerita pendek sebagai sarana mengekspresikan kreativitas dan emosi. Tantangan dalam program ini, seperti perbedaan tingkat kemampuan literasi dan keterbatasan perangkat digital, diatasi melalui pengelompokan peserta dan pemanfaatan media fisik. Dampak positif juga terlihat pada orang tua dan masyarakat yang semakin mendukung kegiatan literasi di rumah dan desa. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan literasi di daerah dengan akses terbatas, dengan rekomendasi penguatan dukungan teknologi dan pelatihan fasilitator untuk keberlanjutan program. Kata Kunci : Minat Baca, Literasi Anak, Pendekatan Interaktif, Media Interaktif, Diskusi Kelompok, Pemahaman Bacaan, Program Literasi, Keterlibatan Emosional, Kreativitas, Masyarakat Desa
