Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of capital letters errors in the narrative essay of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 3 Sempor and the underlying factor in the misuse of capital letters. This study is against the background of errors that learners often use in capital letters. The study used qualitative descriptive methods aimed at analyzing the misuse of capital letters in the country's 3 sempor class v student narrative. The subject of this study is a 24-student v-class student and cass V teacher of SD Negeri 3 Sempor. The study uses data-collection techniques of documentation, interviews, and observation. Data analysis uses interactive data analysis techniques with data gathering, data reduction, data presentation, and deduction drawing. The validity of data on this research uses technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this study have been found misusing capital letters in the narrative of 3rd sempor country's vice student v. The error covers six indicators of error at the beginning of the sentence as many as 59 errors, errors in the name of as many as 4 errors, errors in the name of the day as 8 errors, errors in the geography name as 21 errors, and errors in the title of 21 errors. The most common mistake was the start of a sentence of 56% and the least amount of error on a person's name of 4%. A factor behind the misus of capital letters is that learners lack an understanding of the code of capital letter writing.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to know how is PGSD  FKIP UNS students perception about yhe importance of English lesson in elementary school in this globalization era. This research are included by qualitative research. The research data are obtained from questionnaries, interviews and document analysis. Then, calculated by using validity and triangulation. The result of this research are most of them having an opinion yhat English lessons in elementary school in globalization era is an important things to learn. Other than that, English should be learned in elementary school because in this era english are used in ecery part of life even if on a severe things. Student in elementary school are suitable to learn about grammar and vocabulary, so in the next step they are able to learn it more

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memaparkan diseminasi riset yang bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence/AI) dalam diagnosis medis berbasis elektrokardiogram (EKG) kepada para dosen di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer, Universitas Duta Bangsa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman para dosen tentang potensi aplikasi AI dalam bidang kesehatan dan memberikan wawasan baru mengenai penggunaan EKG dalam diagnosis gangguan kesehatan. Para dosen diajak untuk mempelajari aplikasi AI dan teknik-teknik yang digunakan dalam analisis EKG. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa para dosen memiliki minat yang tinggi dalam menerapkan kecerdasan buatan dalam bidang medis, khususnya dalam diagnosis penyakit jantung melalui EKG. Mereka memahami potensi besar yang dimiliki oleh AI dalam meningkatkan akurasi dan kecepatan diagnosis, serta membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan klinis yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Group Riset Material dan Sensor Magnetik FMIPA UNS telah melaksanakan kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat kepada 15 guru dan 36 siswa klas XII MAN I Grobogan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman para siswa pada prinsip kerja motor listrik dan generator listrik menggunakan metode learning by doing. Efektivitas metode dilihat dari perbandingan nilai pre-test dan post-test sesudah siswa melaksanakan eksperimen. Nilai rata-rata pre-test adalah 67 sedangkan nilai post-test sebesar 84. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan metode learning by doing yang diimplementasikan dalam eksperimen berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman para siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to scientifically develop a Physics-based electronic module approach using the Lectora Inspire application on Static Fluid material, knowing the feasibility of the electronic module being developed. The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development), with development procedures using the ADDIE model. However, the procedures carried out only reached the third stage: analysis, design, and Development. The data used in this research are qualitative and quantitative data obtained from research subjects. The analysis stage is carried out by analyzing the needs of teachers and students in Physics learning activities. The design stage is the design of compiling electronic modules according to the results of the needs analysis. The development stage was validated by two expert lecturers as expert validators, three teacher validators (users), and trials by students consisting of 3 students in one-on-one trials, nine students in small group trials, and 96 students in field trials. Product feasibility is obtained based on validation results from expert validators, teacher validators (users), and student trials. The data collection techniques used were documentation and questionnaires, which were analyzed based on Azwar's opinion. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the results of expert validation obtained an average score of 110, teacher validation of 108.6 from a maximum score of 116, and the average score of one-on-one trial results was 21.33, the average of small group trials was 22.11, and the average of field trials was 23.05 so that The developed electronic module meets criteria very good. Hence, it is very suitable for use in high school learning.

Abstract

Learning innovation is needed to maximize interaction between teachers and students so that learning is much more effective and efficient, one of which is through enrichment books so that students learn not only theory but also its application. Enrichment books were developed to enrich students' knowledge. In this research, an enrichment book will be created using hematite as a battery electrode in renewable energy learning. The aim of this research is to determine the development and feasibility of enrichment books using hematite as battery electrodes in renewable energy learning. Enrichment books are an innovation in education that was developed to enrich information that is not obtained from textbooks. The method used in this research is R&D. The research was carried out using the ADDIE model, but this research was limited to the development stage. The enrichment book was developed using the Canva application. The data collection technique was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The enrichment book that has been created is validated by distributing questionnaires to expert validators and practitioner validators. The research was conducted at three schools in the Greater Solo area, namely S MA N Kebakkramat, MA Al Madinah Nogosari, and SMK Batik 2 Surakarta. The results obtained show that the enrichment book with hematite as a battery electrode can be applied in physics learning on renewable energy materials with a validation score of 68.41 or perfect criteria. This research can be the basis for developing enrichment books using hematite as battery electrodes in Renewable Energy learning.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out whether or not 1) there were different effects using learning modules with Computational Thinking (CT) and scientific approaches, 2) different effects on students’ critical thinking ability in the high and low categories, 3) interaction between the effects using learning modules with CT and scientific approaches in the level of students’ critical thinking ability on cognitive learning outcomes in temperature and heat subject. This research method was quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The design used a non-equivalent post-test-only control group design and a 2x2 factorial design pattern.  The population was students of XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura in the academic year of 2021/2022. The sample was chosen using a cluster random sampling technique. Two classes were used as the samples: 36 students of XI MIPA 2 as the first experiment class and 36 students of XI MIPA 4 as the second experiment class—the data collecting technique used documentation, test, and questionnaire techniques. Data were analyzed using non-parametric test statistics, and the method was the Mann-Whitney test. The conclusions of the research results are: 1) there are no effects of using learning modules with CT and scientific approaches on cognitive learning outcomes, 2) there are no effects on student’s critical thinking ability in the high and low categories towards cognitive learning outcomes, 3) there is no interaction between the effects of using learning modules and students’ critical thinking ability on cognitive learning outcomes in temperature and heat subject. This study shows the effectiveness of applying learning modules with CT and scientific approaches to students' critical thinking skills on cognitive learning outcomes on Temperature and Heat material.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) The existence of misconceptions about Straight Motion material in the textbook for Physics class X MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Sambungmacan (2) Profile understanding of the concepts of students in class X MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Sambungmacan. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Data and data sources come from textbooks and students of class X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Sambungmacan. Data was collected by test techniques, questionnaires, and interviews. Techniques to test the validity/validity of data using triangulation techniques of data collection techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis method uses data simplification, data presentation, and conclusion. The research procedures were preparation, data collection, data analysis/drawing conclusions, and writing reports. The results of this study stated that the student handbook in Class X MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Sambungmacan still contained misconceptions. Misconceptions consist of a lack of completeness of concepts and errors in writing mathematical equations. The criteria for understanding the concept of students in Class X MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Sambungmacan on the Straight Motion materials are divided into Understanding Concepts, Understanding Concepts but Not Sure, Misconceptions, and Don't Know Concepts. Most of the students' misconceptions were in the medium category, as many as 56.67%. Students experience misconceptions about the sub-concepts of Distance and Displacement, Speed, Velocity, and Acceleration, Uniformly Straight Motion and Uniformly Changed Straight Motion, and the Application of Uniformly Changing Straight Motion. The statement of the highest student misconceptions in the sub-concept of the Application of Regular Changing Motion. The causes of misconceptions that exist in students come from student participants, teachers, teaching methods, textbooks, and other causes such as learning facilities.

Abstract

This research aims to know: (1) relevance of learning school with Honda; (2) implementation of curriculum techniques motorcycles Honda in Vocational High School Pancasila Surakarta; (3) evaluation curriculum techniques motorcycles Honda in Vocational High School Pancasila Surakarta. This research is evaluative research. Data source derived from 98 students TSM-Honda, headmaster, Deputy Headschool of curriculum, curriculum development division Honda. Data techniques include by questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentation. This research used logic validity or reasoning that instrument is valid based on rational analysis. Apparatus are arranged based on reasoning should be referred to experts so this instrument truly intelligent before distributed to respondents. The procedure consists research method, determine, devise research instruments, data retrieval, data analysis, the withdrawal of conclusion. The conclusion is: (1) curriculum implementation of Motorcycle-Honda Engineering is composed of four aspects context, planning, execution and evaluation, curriculum implementation of Honda overall reaches 72% with a high category; (2) context aspect reaches 78% with top grade. This means that the aspect context which includes the relevance of learning school with Honda and Honda-TSM program eligibility is already proper; (3) planning aspect reached 68% with a high category. Aspects planning that includes an input of students, the quality of the applicants, the parties involved, the training of teacher preparedness, Honda's been good; (4) implementation aspect of the reach 74% with a high category. Implementation aspects of administrative arrangement that includes teaching, learning materials, tools and materials, media of learning, learning methods are already good; (5) evaluation aspect reached 67% with a high category. An evaluation includes elements of competency teachers, students, students ' value competency, communication with Honda, the success of curriculum, curriculum development is already good.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the block system learning in the productive subject of Machining Engineering at SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research findings indicate that the implementation of the block system enhances student engagement, deepens theoretical understanding, and improves practical skills. Interview analyses and case studies highlight a shift from a teacher-centered to a more participatory learning approach. Positive implications of constructivist and competency-based learning are evident in the enhanced quality of learning outcomes. The conclusion emphasizes the effectiveness of the block system learning as a relevant vocational education model aligned with industry needs. Recommendations include the development of teaching methods, increased industry involvement, and further research. Gratitude is extended to SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta, educators, students, and supporters who contributed to this research.
