Abstract

Farmers' income levels are generally influenced by components, namely: the amount of production, selling prices, and costs incurred by farmers in their agriculture. Generally, the characteristics of farming in Indonesia are narrow land, relatively small capital, limited knowledge of farmers, and less dynamic which results in low farm income. Feasibility studies need to be carried out to avoid capital that is too large for an activity that turns out to be unprofitable. The purpose of this study was to analyze the income and feasibility of rainfed rice farming in Talabagi Village, Patimpeng District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. The study was carried out in January - March 2023. The population of this study was rainfed rice farmers, totaling 300 families. The number of samples is 10% of the total population of 30 farmers. Farmers' samples were taken using a simple random sampling method. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The types of data in this study are qualitative data and quantitative data. There are two sources of data, namely primary and secondary data. The data analysis method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data were analyzed by income and feasibility analysis. The results showed that the average income received by farmers in rainfed lowland rice farming in Talabagi Village, Patimpeng District, Bone Regency was Rp. 11,081,258.61/MT. Rainfed lowland rice farming carried out by farmers in Talabagi Village, Patimpeng District, Bone Regency is feasible.

Abstract

One of the fundamental problems in the border area of Sanggau Regency is the infrastructure of roads and bridges. Those problems become more complex due to various aspects that affect the governmental institutions in implementing the public services are the community, environment, and other aspects. Based on the problems, the research aims is to describe and analyze the complexity effect of public basic services for roads and bridges by point of view of the external aspects of an organization. The research method used is qualitative design. Researchers try to focus on showing the meaning, description, classification and placement of data in their perspective contexts. The results of the study show that the main factors in which the public basic services are not optimal are the unfavourable local and socio-economic conditions of the community. The cost needed in basic public services is high enough because of the landscape range. It is exacerbated by the socio-economic constraints of the community which indirectly can hamper theprocess of running the public services provided. In overcoming of the two problems, the strategic effort that needed is better coordination amongst the organizations in the area. For example, The public works Services (Dinas Pekerjaan Umum) must be coordinated to the other government organization in implementing some programs.

Abstract

This research aims to describe management aspects and learning transition strategies from high school to college. This research uses library study or content analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that managing a successful transition from high school to college is critical to students' academic success, especially in the first year. Various studies show that many students are less prepared to study at university and experience obstacles, especially in the aspect of learning adjustment. The gap not only occurs in the secondary school system which does not fully prepare its students to enter college, but colleges also do not have the equipment to accommodate students from secondary schools. To make the transition from high school to college, students need to make adjustments and be supported by the people and systems in their environment. From the aspect of students who will become students, they need to prepare three separate stages in the transition process, namely: separation/separation, transition/transition and merger/merger. From the aspect of higher education, it is necessary to prepare strategies, programs and services to facilitate the transition for students who will enter college. This article reviews the results of a collection of literature regarding management and successful strategies implemented in various countries in facilitating learning from high school to university. The purpose of this literature review is to produce recommendations and considerations that can be used as guidelines for students, parents and universities involved in transition to manage the transition well and successfully.

Abstract

Background:  COVID-19 is caused by a novel virus that can cause lung abnormalities which can be measured with new chest x-ray scoring system named Brixia score. In COVID-19 patients, coagulation disorders are often found that can be seen through D-Dimer levels. This study aimed to prove the Brixia Score as a predictor of D-Dimer levels.Subjects and Method: This study was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects were 94 COVID-19 patients which taken from ICU Melati 1 Dr. Moewardi General Hospital, Surakarta from March 2021 to August 2021 who met the exclusion and inclusion criteria. The independent variable is the Brixia score performed by radiologists and the dependent variable is D-Dimer levels taken from laboratory results. Sampling was obtained by purposive sampling and the data were investigated using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results: 94 samples were obtained for analysis. The average Brixia Score of patients with D-Dimer <2 µg/mL was Mean= 15.85; SD= 1.43 and D-Dimer ≥2 µg/mL was Mean= 17.29; SD= 0.96. There was a significant difference between the Brixia Score of patients with D-Dimer <2 µg/mL and D-Dimer ≥2 µg/mL (p<0.001). Analysis with the ROC curve shows an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.793. The optimal cutoff value of the Brixia Score for predicting D-Dimer levels was 16.5 (sensitivity 77.9%, specificity 73.1%).Conclusion: Brixia Score proved to be a predictor of D-Dimer levels of COVID-19 patients in ICU care. Keywords: COVID-19, ICU, brixia score, predictor, D-Dimer.Correspondence: Widiastuti Soewondo, Radiology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and digital literacy on the performance of elementary school teachers in Pamulang District, South Tangerang. Using a quantitative method with a survey approach, data were collected from 80 teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS 26.00. The results indicate that emotional intelligence and digital literacy significantly influence teacher performance, with digital literacy having a more dominant impact than emotional intelligence. The coefficient of determination test shows that these two independent variables explain 56.4% of the variance in teacher performance, while the remaining 43.6% is influenced by other factors not analyzed in this study. Additionally, the F-test confirms that the regression model is statistically significant in explaining teacher performance. Therefore, improving digital literacy and emotional intelligence is crucial in enhancing teaching quality. Continuous training is necessary to strengthen teachers' digital skills and emotional management to address the challenges of education in the digital era.
