Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of students’ speaking skills in Vocational High School in Magelang, Central Java through classroom treatment by using CALL-Memrise. This classroom action research is implemented in a cyclical process, covering planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subject was students in grade 11 in an EFL classroom, consisting of 34 students. The data were obtained from observation checklists, field notes, pretest, and post-tests. They were analyzed quantitatively by using SPSS. Quantitative data dealt with the teaching-learning process, i.e., students’ participation in classroom activities and assignments given to them. They were gained from pretest and post-test after treatment. The findings revealed that in cycle 1, the mean score was 1.84/4.00, the median score was 1,80/4,00, and the mode of the score was 1,80/4,00. In cycle 2, it showed that the mean of the score was 3,39/4.00, the median of the score was 3,30/4,00 and the mode of the score was 3,30/4,00. It can be concluded that the treatment has proved to be helpful in developing students’ speaking skills and could help the student improve their speaking skills based on accuracy, fluency and grammar.

Abstract

The perception and role of practical wisdom in implementing religious moderation policies which are built from the lecturer's perspective are open and democratic because they uphold academic culture. However, the unsystematic implementation of top-down policies has the potential to ignore the creative participation of task implementers in the field. The approach to insert religious moderation is stronger when listening to the good practices of learning implementers, namely lecturers. This article aimed to find out the role of lecturers' initiatives in strengthening religious moderation as implementers of learning in non-religious courses. The research was conducted with a qualitative phenomenological type. The research participants involved twenty-seven non-religious lecturers from 9 study programs. The data were extracted using the technique of focused group discussions and document analysis. The results of the lecturers’ practical wisdom are as follows, 1) religious moderation is perceived by lecturers as a wise view in responding to differences, a middle-way view that is not extreme to the left and right, and the ability to moderate multiculturally; 2) lecturers as learning actors in the field have creative, authentic and autonomous goodwill in inserting religious moderation so that responsive lecturers are found to prevent early risks of student radicalism, intolerance, and religious exclusivism; 3) lecturers can find learning methods in class by inserting religious moderation in general courses even though there are no technical-operational instructions in the learning process. It showed that lecturers in the context of implementing religious moderation responded quickly so that their practical wisdom provides solutions to accelerate the achievement of religious moderation that is actually more participatory.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy implementation process in dealing with media convergence. Radio Tjandra FM has developed from what was originally limited to conventional radio but later developed by combining it with new media such as the internet. The basis of the theory used isNew media by Pierre Levy. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. In its implementation, Radio Tjandra no longer only broadcastson air on radio but also take advantage of internet media as a process of expanding listeners, increasing existence and also displaying advertisements, what is done is to create social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, creating streaming radio websites and applications. Apart from that, Radio Tjandra also carries out a lot of off air or on air activities in crowded places using the OB Van. The results of the process of implementing the strategy of merging radio with the internet have not yet yielded maximum results for expanding advertising, but for expanding listening it is sufficient to provide significant results, as evidenced by the increase listeners every day. So the challenge going forward for Tjandra FM Radio is how to find new, more interesting innovations, and also develop existing human resources so that the initial vision and mission can be achieved and the radio's existence increases.

Abstract

  Underage marriage is vulnerable to have an impact on; divorce, poor quality of human resources, domestic violence (KDRT), maternal mortality, and population explosion. The Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning (DP3AKB) of South Aceh Regency is part of supporting the tasks of the regional head (Bupati) through the Regional Secretary (Sekda). Among the powers of DP3AKB South Aceh Regency include family planning services, reproductive health, family economic development, child protection and population control. Responding to the number of underage marriages in South Aceh District, DP3AKB tries to play a role in preventing it, so that the number does not increase. This study aims to reveal what factors are the causes of underage marriage and the role of the Women's Empowerment Agency for Child Protection and Family Planning (DP3AKB) South Aceh Regency in preventing underage marriage. Through qualitative descriptive methods, with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation, which were then analyzed, the researchers found four factors causing the occurrence of underage marriages in South Aceh District. Among them are; economic factors, promiscuity, self-desire, and the lack of parental roles. DP3AKB South Aceh Regency in an effort to prevent underage marriages, has carried out a number of activities both through the implementation of counseling in the form of the Linto (husband) and Darabaro (wife) Candidate (Calinda) debriefing program and socialization in the form of the Youth Counseling Information Center (PIK-Remaja) delivered at schools and public environment.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' critical thinking or critical thinking skills which are divided into three levels, namely students who have high level, medium level, and low-level critical thinking through the application of the Learning Cycle 5E learning model in class X. This research is quasi-experimental research namely the development of true experimental design with Nonequievalent control group design research design through Posttest-Only Control Design carried out at Sukake 1 Public High School. The sample selected used Cluster random sampling, namely class X MIA 1 which was used as the experimental class. Data collection was carried out by trial at SMA Negeri 2 Menyuke followed by research school at SMA Negeri 1 Menyuke using the Learning Cycle 5E learning model and post-test final test to determine students' mathematical critical thinking skills at high, medium, and low levels, interviews to find out student responses regarding the results of the answers. The t-test results for both normal and homogeneous distributions obtained a significance value (2-tailed) = 0.031 < 0.05 with the decision H_1 being accepted. It was proven that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes in the control class and the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class. Descriptively, students show improvement. Students also experienced quite good improvement. So, it can be concluded that the Learning Cycle 5E learning model provides an increase in critical thinking skills

Abstract

The aim of the research is to develop a Pocket Book based on IDEAL Problem Solving that is suitable for use by students. This research is Research and Development (R&D). The research design used is the ADDIE model which consists of five stages consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluating. This research was conducted at Assalam Pontianak Middle School with the research subjects being 15 students in class VII B. The data collection tools used were expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and problem solving ability tests. The data analysis used is calculating the validity of the media with the minimum criteria of "valid", calculating the practicality of teacher and student response questionnaires with the minimum criteria of "practical, and effectiveness using posttest calculations of minimally effective criteria. Based on the results that have been described, it is concluded that the IDEAL Problem Solving-Based Pocket Book on Problem Solving Abilities is suitable for use in learning because it can help improve problem solving abilities. The validity level of the Pocket Book with a validity level of "very valid" reaches media validity of 92% and material validity of 91.55%, the practicality level of the Pocket Book with the practicality level of "practical" and "very practical" with a student response questionnaire score of 81.01% and the questionnaire teacher response was 92%, and the effectiveness level of the Pocket Book with an effectiveness level of "effective" reached an average of 83.2%

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi media pembelajaran berbasis Android untuk mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) bagi siswa kelas V di SDN 2 Talagajaya, Kecamatan Banjarwangi, Kabupaten Garut. Pengembangan aplikasi ini mengikuti model ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan Analyze (Analisis), Design (Desain), Develop (Pengembangan), Implement (Implementasi), dan Evaluate (Evaluasi).Pada tahap analisis, dilakukan identifikasi kebutuhan pembelajaran melalui observasi langsung terhadap siswa. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi siswa kurang optimal dan guru cenderung bergantung pada satu sumber pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan media tambahan. Tahap desain berfokus pada perumusan tujuan pembelajaran yang SMART, penyusunan konten kurikulum IPA, serta pembuatan desain antarmuka yang ramah pengguna.Pada tahap pengembangan, materi pembelajaran disiapkan menggunakan Microsoft PowerPoint, dan aplikasi Mobile learning dikembangkan dengan PowerPoint, iSpring, dan Website 2 APK Builder. Tahap implementasi melibatkan penggunaan teknologi Mobile learning berbasis Android yang mudah diakses oleh banyak siswa dan menawarkan fitur interaktif untuk meningkatkan minat belajar

Abstract

The Interdisciplinary Study-Based Islamic Religious Education Doctoral Study Program conducts community service activities in the form of curriculum workshops based on religious moderation values at the Salahuddin College for Islamic Studies (STAIS), Pasuruan. The workshop is designed to assist in the curriculum development process, particularly for the Islamic Education subject and other courses based on religious moderation values. This community service project adopts the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) concept of community empowerment as its strategy. Material for the construction of higher education curricula, curricula based on religious modernization, and the local curriculum model of STAIS Pasuruan based on religious moderation and Islamic boarding schools were disseminated because of this project. The Islamic Religious Education of STAIS Pasuruan Study Program is expected to implement planned follow-up activities in the form of curriculum insertion practices.

Abstract

Perkembangan sosial emosional adalah salah satu aspek perkembangan yang sangat penting pada periode prasekolah. Perkembangan sosial emosional yang tidak optimal sejak usia dini akan berdampak pada kematangan sosial dan emosi di masa remaja dan dewasa. Banyak faktor yang berpengaruh dalam perkembangan sosial emosional anak. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, penggunaan gadget tidak hanya terbatas pada orang dewasa, tetapi juga pada anak-anak. Penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan akan membawa dampak buruk bagi perkembangan sosial dan emosional anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan antara penggunaan gadget dengan perkembangan sosial emosional anak prasekolah di Desa Cikulur tahun 2022. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan November 2022, merupakan penelitian analitik menggunakan rancangan Cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh murid TK/PAUD yang terdapat di Desa Cikulur Kecamatan Cikulur Kabupaten Lebak sebanyak 84 orang. Di Desa Cikulur terdapat 1 buah TK yaitu TK Riyadul Muslimin dan 2 buah PAUD yaitu PAUD Karya Mulya dan PAUD Mutiara Kalam. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Total Populasi dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 84 responden. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan gadget dengan perkembangan sosial emosional dengan nilai p-value 0,000 dan nilai odd ratio (OR) 13,529 yang artinya anak dengan penggunaan gadget kategori tinggi akan mempunyai risiko 13,529 kali untuk memiliki perkembangan sosial emosional kurang baik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini terdapat hubungan penggunaan gadget dengan perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia prasekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe the lack of application of traditional game concepts to develop children's gross motor skills in the learning process. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, data verification and trust test using data triangulation. The results of this study are that the concept of gross motor development in the learning system at Kindergarten Melati II Telanaipura can be said to be good, due to the assistance of the habituation activity method carried out by the teacher. The concept of applying traditional games in developing gross motor skills at Kindergarten Melati II Telanaipura can also be said to be optimal with the help of teachers and directions from teachers. Although there are inhibiting factors in carrying out the jump rope game, namely from the environment and parents.
