Abstract

Integrating local potential in science learning is an effort to introduce culture to the younger generation by linking indigenous knowledge into scientific knowledge. This study focuses on examining research conducted in the past five years, specifically those published in SINTA 2 to 4, that delve into the integration of local potential in science learning. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a literature review of 30 articles chosen based on their classification, which explores the fusion of local potential and the unique culinary traditions of a region in science education. The results of the papers are in the form of classification for educational research in the fields of science, physics, chemistry, and biology. The results of the analysis show that the integration of local potential in science learning is combined with learning models and methods such as STEAM, Inkuriri, Discovery Learning, using PBL and PJBL models. Integration of local potential in science learning can improve 21st century skills including learning outcomes, concept understanding, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, environmental literacy and students' love for local culture and problem-solving skills. The most significant results are learning outcomes and understanding of student concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effect of using interactive e-books in enhancing students' mathematical representation skills on optics material in high school. Mathematical representation involves students' ability to use mathematical symbols, graphs, and formulas to solve physics problems, particularly in the concept of optics, which is often considered abstract. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class using interactive e-books as learning media and a control class using conventional methods. The results showed an improvement in mathematical representation skills in both classes, with the n-gain value of the experimental class being 0.604 and the control class being 0.557, both in the medium category. However, the experimental class demonstrated a more significant improvement compared to the control class, indicating that interactive e-books are more effective in helping students deeply understand optical concepts. The interactive features in the e-book, such as simulations and animations, provided a more engaging learning experience and helped students visualize abstract concepts. In conclusion, the use of interactive e-books has a positive impact on improving students' mathematical representation skills and can be considered an effective alternative learning medium, especially for science subjects that require better visualization and conceptual understanding.

Abstract

: Gender is a crucial aspect in problem-solving within families that can influence a child's social activities in society. Globally, there are disparities between males and females in accessing Digital Scientific Literacy. Access to Digital Scientific Literacy is predominantly observed in urban areas and utilized within the family education context. This study aims to investigate the implementation of family education using the scientific approach, employing the 5M pattern: Observing, Questioning, Trying, Reasoning, and Communicating. The study utilized a Mixed Methods approach involving 100 households, consisting of 80 boys and 80 girls, in remote areas of South Sulawesi. Findings reveal that the application of family-based education rooted in Digital Scientific Literacy remains suboptimal. This is attributed to a lack of parental comprehension regarding Scientific Literacy in remote areas of South Sulawesi. The predominant role in educating children within the family lies with the mothers, while fathers mainly reinforce the implementation of family education. Additionally, there exists a disparity between boys and girls in accessing Digital Scientific Literacy, with boys demonstrating a higher dominance in this domain.

Abstract

Developing android-based teaching materials is an initial step to follow the presence of the society 5.0 era in the learning system. This study aimed to know the feasibility and practicality of an Android-based e-module developed on Newton's law material. This study is research and development using the 4D model from Thiagarajan with four stages of development: define, design, develop, and dissemination. The research instrument used is an expert validation sheet, students' reliability questionnaire, interview guide sheet, and e-module prototype with research subjects consisting of 50 students. The research instruments used are expert validation sheets, student reliability questionnaires, interview guide sheets, and e-module prototypes. The research subjects are 10th-grade students. The data analysis technique is quantitative descriptive. Based on expert validation, the feasibility analysis results show 94.86% and 90.8%. Results of the practicality analysis show a percentage of 100% based on the test results, which means that the android-based e-module developed meets the feasibility and practical aspects of teaching materials on Newton's law. The effective analysis results on the effective use of e-modules show N-gain 1,877 in the high category, which means that e-module developed is effective use as learning media in Newton's law material.

Abstract

The low critical thinking ability of Indonesian students is known based on the acquisition of PISA and TIMMS assessments with positions in the lower middle rankings. The lack of teaching materials that facilitate the improvement of critical thinking skills is one of the contributing factors. The purpose of this research and development is to produce a substance stress module to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students using model discoverylearning. The development model used is 4-D, with stages including define(definition), design(planning), develop(development), and disseminate(spread). Data collection was carried out through a literature review, validation assessment, and e-module practicality response questionnaires. Data collection was carried out through instruments in the form of validation assessment sheets by practitioners and student practicality response questionnaire sheets. Practitioners assess the validity of teaching materials, while their practicality is assessed by students. The results of the material validation were 89.2% (very valid), the media validation was 90% (very valid), the student practicality questionnaire was 76.2% (practical), and the N-gain score was 0.46. These results indicate that the science modules developed are valid and practical for use in science learning

Abstract

Attitude towards physics is one of the key factors in determining the success of physics learning. The solution to ensure a positive attitude towards physics requires a good diagnostic instrument. This study aims to develop an instrument that can measure attitudes toward physics validly and reliably. This study was conducted by validating the instrument with 8 experts physics education. Validation data was analysed using the Vaiken formula a score of 0.90 was obtained, which means that all items are valid. After the validation stage, the instrument was tested on 423 respondents consisting of high school students from the provinces of East Java and Riau. The test data were analysed through four steps: 1) exploratory factor analysis, 2) confirmatory factor analysis, 3) Cronbach's alpha reliability, and 3) item response theory using the graded response model. The EFA results showed that from 16 question items, they resulted in groupings into 4 factors: Teacher and Physics as a Future Vocation, Physics learning, Physics as a Process, and Enthusiasm toward Physics. The reliability of the items based on cronbach's alpha score 0.94 category a very good reliability level. The performance of each item through the IRT GRM analysis shows that the item discrimination power is in the moderate to very high category, and the item support is in the easy to moderate category. The CATP test is feasible and reliable in measuring attitudes toward physics

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan judul “Pemberdayaan Guru dalam Manajemen Konflik Sosial di SMP Islam Al-Wasi’, Kecamatan Marusu, Kabupaten Maros” dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi lingkungan sekolah yang mencerminkan kompleksitas interaksi sosial masyarakat yang lebih luas. Beragamnya latar belakang sosial, budaya, dan karakter siswa sering kali menimbulkan potensi konflik yang, apabila tidak ditangani dengan tepat, dapat memengaruhi kenyamanan dan efektivitas proses belajar mengajar. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal dan diskusi dengan pihak sekolah, ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar guru masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menangani konflik sosial di kelas akibat keterbatasan pemahaman mengenai teknik penyelesaian konflik dan minimnya pelatihan terkait. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan kompetensi guru dalam mengelola konflik sosial di lingkungan sekolah melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan yang komprehensif. Program dirancang untuk membekali guru dengan pemahaman teoretis dan keterampilan praktis dalam mengenali, mencegah, serta menyelesaikan konflik menggunakan pendekatan mediasi, komunikasi empatik, dan metode restoratif. Dengan peningkatan kemampuan ini, diharapkan guru dapat menciptakan iklim kelas yang lebih harmonis, membangun hubungan positif antarwarga sekolah, serta menurunkan angka perundungan (bullying) yang selama ini masih ditemukan di lingkungan sekolah. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga diarahkan untuk menghasilkan produk intelektual berupa modul atau panduan praktis manajemen konflik sekolah, yang dapat dijadikan referensi bagi sekolah lain dalam menangani persoalan serupa. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan guru secara aktif dalam simulasi dan studi kasus nyata, kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan individual, tetapi juga memperkuat budaya kolaboratif di lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, program ini diharapkan memberikan dampak berkelanjutan dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman, nyaman, dan berkarakter, sekaligus mendukung pencapaian Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) perguruan tinggi dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Interest in learning is crucial in the learning process. With an interest in learning, it will also be able to affect their academic abilities, and this will be one of the supporters of the success of the learning process. Judging from the importance of the function of interest in learning, the purpose of this research is to develop electronic learning media to increase students' interest in learning. The object of this research, is the students of class X MIPA 2 and X MIPA 4 SMA 1 Kalasan with a total of 70 people. This research is development research with ADDIE design. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire method with a Likert scale. Based on the analysis, the questionnaire obtained by X MIPA 2 is 84.5% and X MIPA 4 is 86.5%. Based on this data, the questionnaire can be said to be valid, so it is feasible to use it to increase student interest in learning. Keywords: interest in learning; electronic learning

Abstract

Anemia merupakan gangguan gizi disebabkan oleh kekurangan zat besi terutama pada remaja putri yang kurang beruntung. Berdasarkan pedoman World Health Organization (WHO), remaja dikatakan mengalami anemia bila kadar hemoglobinnya kurang dari 12 mg/dl. Prevalensi anemia di Indonesia pada remaja putri usia 18-24 tahun berkisar 27.2%. Hal ini dapat disebabkan adanya peningkatan kebutuhan zat besi, penurunan asupan zat besi, pertumbuhan fisik yang cepat, kehilangan menstruasi, dan permintaan zat besi yang tinggi untuk pembentukan hemoglobin (Hb). pemenuhan zat besi dapat diperoleh dari konsumsi pangan lokal Indonesia salah satunya adalah ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas L. Poir). Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memperkenalkan ubi ungu sebagai bahan pangan kaya nutrisi yang dapat diolah menjadi produk inovatif, seperti bolu, untuk meningkatkan asupan gizi dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat serta memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pentingnya asupan gizi, khususnya zat besi, dalam pencegahan anemia. Metode pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pre-test dan post-test, melakukan penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan bolu ubi ungu, membagikan leaflet serta memberikan  bolu ubi  ungu sebagai intervensi  fisiknya. Hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank yang menunjukkan nilai Prob > |z| = 0,0000 < 0,05 sehingga terdapat pengaruh penyuluhan dan demo masak terhadap pengetahuan responden sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dan demo masak. Hal ini menunjukkan pula terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan responden sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dan demo masak. Bolu ubi ungu berbahan dasar ubi ungu merupakan salah satu inovasi makanan yang dapat menurunkan angka prevalensi anemia.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peranan penting dalam menunjang perekonomian masyarakat, namun masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang menghadapi kendala dalam pengelolaan keuangan dan modal usaha. Kondisi ini juga terjadi di RW 04 Kelurahan Cipedak, Kecamatan Jagakarsa, Jakarta Selatan, di mana sebagian besar pelaku usaha belum memahami strategi manajemen keuangan yang tepat.Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kewirausahaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan berjudul “Panduan Sukses Mengelola Keuangan Usaha Kecil”. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman praktis mengenai pengelolaan modal, pencatatan keuangan, serta strategi pengembangan usaha berbasis manajemen keuangan yang sehat.Metode pelaksanaan pelaksanaan pelatihan interaktif, Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan literasi keuangan pelaku UMKM, memperkuat keberlanjutan usaha, serta mendorong tumbuhnya jiwa kewirausahaan mandiri di masyarakat.Program ini juga menjadi sarana mahasiswa dalam mengimplementasikan ilmu pengetahuan serta mendukung pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, khususnya dalam aspek pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
