Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and organizational commitment on employee work productivity at the Regional Inspectorate of South Sulawesi Province. This research employs a quantitative approach using a proportionate stratified random sampling technique, involving 99 functional employees as respondents. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire based on a Likert scale, which measures variables related to work discipline, organizational commitment, and employee productivity. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27 to determine the relationships and significance levels among the variables. The results of the study reveal that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee work productivity, indicating that higher levels of discipline contribute to improved performance outcomes. Similarly, organizational commitment also demonstrates a positive and significant influence on productivity, suggesting that employees with stronger attachment and loyalty to the organization tend to perform better. Furthermore, the simultaneous test results show that both work discipline and organizational commitment collectively have a significant impact on employee productivity. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening disciplinary practices and fostering organizational commitment to enhance overall employee performance. Therefore, organizations, particularly public sector institutions, are encouraged to implement policies and strategies that support these factors to achieve optimal productivity levels.

Abstract

Abstract

Organizations increasingly operate in environments where regulatory change, technological disruption, and institutional uncertainty directly affect the feasibility and timing of strategic decisions. Yet law is still frequently treated as a compliance boundary rather than as a strategic capability. This article develops Strategic Legal Capability (SLC) as a higher-order organizational capability through which firms sense, interpret, orchestrate, and convert legal and regulatory change into strategic adaptation and sustainable competitive advantage. An integrative literature review combines insights from the resource-based view, dynamic capabilities theory, institutional theory, legal astuteness, legal strategy, and nonmarket strategy. The synthesis identifies four mutually reinforcing dimensions of SLC: legal sensing, legal interpretation, legal orchestration, and regulatory opportunity conversion. The article proposes that SLC improves strategic decision quality and organizational resilience by expanding the firm's feasible strategic options under regulatory uncertainty. It further argues that regulatory complexity, technological disruption, institutional uncertainty, and artificial-intelligence intensity condition the value of SLC. The resulting framework reframes law from an exogenous constraint into an endogenous capability for strategic adaptation. The article contributes a unified construct, a set of testable propositions, and a research agenda for integrating law more deeply into contemporary strategic management.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work stress on job satisfaction with work motivation as a mediating variable on employees of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Makassar Main Branch Office. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method on 145 permanent employees as a sample selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, then analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results of the study indicate that workload and work stress have a significant negative effect on motivation and job satisfaction, while work motivation has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Work motivation also acts as a partial mediating variable that weakens the negative effect of workload and work stress on job satisfaction. These findings indicate that work motivation has an important role in maintaining employee job satisfaction, so companies need to manage workload and stress proportionally and increase work motivation to achieve optimal job satisfaction. Keywords: Workload, work stress, work motivation, job satisfaction,

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of service quality and service speed—both individually and simultaneously—on public satisfaction at the Marioriawa District Office, Soppeng Regency. The study employs a quantitative method with an associative approach. The research population consists of all members of the public receiving services at the Marioriawa District Office, Soppeng Regency, with a sample size of 95 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26 software. The results indicate that, individually, the service quality variable has a positive and significant effect on public satisfaction (t-value of 7.907; significance of 0.000), while the service speed variable also has a positive and significant effect (t-value of 3.662; significance of 0.000). Simultaneously, service quality and service speed significantly influence public satisfaction (F-value of 88.219; significance of 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.657 indicates that 65.7% of public satisfaction is influenced by these two variables, while the remaining 34.3% is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study; thus, it can be concluded that service quality and service speed play a crucial role in enhancing public satisfaction at the Marioriawa District Office, Soppeng Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of financial and non-financial compensation on employee turnover intention—both individually and simultaneously—at CV. Berlian Chemical Mandiri. The primary focus is to analyze the extent to which the company's compensation system mitigates employees' desire to leave their jobs, particularly given the high turnover rates experienced by the firm. A quantitative approach utilizing a survey method was employed. Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to all 38 employees of CV. Berlian Chemical Mandiri using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software to examine the relationships between the variables: financial compensation, non-financial compensation, and turnover intention. The results indicate that both financial and non-financial compensation have a significant negative effect on employee turnover intention, whether considered individually or simultaneously. This suggests that superior compensation—whether financial or non-financial corresponds to a lower desire among employees to leave the company. The findings also highlight the crucial role of non-financial compensation in fostering workplace satisfaction and employee engagement, thereby enhancing retention and reducing the company's high turnover rate.
