Abstract

This study aims to reveal: The quality of the English course book entitled Splash 1 Smart path to Learning English SMK/MAK Grade X (K-Merdeka) based on BSNP. This study is a content analysis with the descriptive-qualitative approach. The analysis procedures consisted developing a concrete research question, connecting it to theory, defining the research design, selecting the sample or material and the sampling strategy, collecting and analyzing the data, and processing the study. The credibility and dependability of this study was gained from consensus and audit trails. The course book analysis in this study considered six criteria proposed by Education National Standarization/Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP). Based on the results and analysis of the study, the course book was categorized as “good” by achieving an average score of 85% of the seven proposed criteria established BSNP. The criteria consist of: the appropriateness of materials with curriculum (90%), the material accuracy (83%), supporting learning materials (80%), presentation technique (85%), teaching and learning technique (80%), and presentation coverage (93%). Considering the results above, so this course book is suitable for use by students at vocational high schools in Indonesia based on the criteria suggested by BSNP. Therefore, the course books can be used as a reference for the teacher to teach the students at vocational high school level

Abstract

Teknologi  memegang  peran  penting  di  era  modernisasi seperti  pada  saat ini. Hal ini terbukti bahwa  teknologi telah  menjadi  bagian yang  tidak  dapat dipisahkan  dalam  kehidupan  sehari-hari. Perkembangan  teknologi  saat  ini  telah merambah ke  segala aspek kehidupan seakan-akan manusia saat ini telah dimanjakan dengan adanya media yang dapat memberikan kemudahan. Salah satu media yang dimaksud adalah IoT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah sistem yang sangat efektif dan dapat diimplementasikan pada toko dengan menggunakan sensor pir berbasis IoT. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan-nya metode QoS untuk mengukur nilai parameter packet loss, dan delay. Untuk mengetahui keberhasilan sistem menghitung standar deviasi untuk setiap parameter. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini efektif digunakan sebagai sistem pengawasan toko. Hal ini dibuktikan bahwa rentang waktu yang dibutuhkan sistem dalam pengiriman notifikasi ke Handphone hanya 2,6 detik per data. Jarak objek yang mampu dideteksi sitem secara efektif 0-7 meter. Kemungkinan terjadi nya error sangat kecil yaitu 0,05 detik per data

Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were Physics Education students, Class of 2021. The research instrument used was the Introduction to School Environment 2 (PLP 2) assessment instrument. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used in this study was quantitative descriptive analysis which included mean scores, diagrams, and categorization. The results of the study showed that the teaching skills of Physics Education students, Class of 2021 had met the criteria as good prospective educators, as seen from the preliminary stage, core stage, closing stage and the personality of prospective educator students in the learning process. This is evidenced by the average preliminary stage assessment obtained of 28.22 which is in the very good category, then the average core stage assessment of 165.86 which is in the very good category, and the average closing stage assessment of 36.19 which is in the very good category, and the average personality assessment of 167.91 which is in the very good category. Based on this, it can be concluded that the teaching skills of Physics Education students are in the very good category, and have met the criteria as good prospective educators.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop supplementary reading materials for 10th-grade high school students in Jayapura, Papua. It is designed to help students understand English texts while introducing international, national (Indonesian), and local (Papuan) cultures. The study uses the research and development (R&D) model with the ADDIE approach. The needs analysis involved 220 students, followed by small group trials with 22 students and field trials with 65 students. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods. The results show that the developed materials meet students' needs, which were identified through a needs analysis focusing on students' reading difficulties, interests, and cultural exposure. The materials address these needs by incorporating culturally relevant content and interactive exercises. Additionally, they help improve students' reading comprehension through various strategies, such as text-based questions, vocabulary-building exercises, and pronunciation practice. The materials feature texts of 300–400 words, 30–40 new vocabulary words, vocabulary lists, and engaging images. Topics include historical sites, traditional foods, art, and customs. The implementation phase received positive feedback from students, teachers, and subject matter experts with an overall rating of 3.25 and 4.00, which is "very good." This research emphasizes the need to include intercultural values in English reading materials. Future material development should consider including localized and worldwide cultural values to improve students' involvement and understanding in reading English text. The resources are thus suitable as supplemental reading materials for enhancing English literacy and intercultural understanding.Keywords: intercultural values, material development, reading skills, research and development, senior high school

Abstract

In increasingly multicultural English Language Teaching (ELT) settings, ethical concerns are not merely pedagogical but also emotional and interpersonal. The study here explores the ethical challenges for undergraduate ELT learners and looks at how Social Emotional Learning (SEL) abilities play a role in overcoming these challenges. Taking the qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, reflective journals, and observations of classrooms of 20 students of English Language Education Study Program Universitas Samudra. On the basis of thematic analysis, three broad categories of ethical issues academic integrity, group conflict, and cultural tensions were analysed through the framework of SEL including self-awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Results indicate that students possessing higher SEL abilities resolved moral dilemmas in more positive manners, while students without such abilities tended to use avoidance or feel emotional distress. The study highlights an urgent need to integrate SEL values into ELT instruction to create ethical consciousness and emotional resilience in students. Implications are reform in teacher preparation, course redesign, and ongoing cross cultural examination of ethics and emotional development in language learning contexts.

Abstract

The digital transformation in education offers a significant opportunity to revitalize local cultural arts through innovative learning approaches. However, the integration of local cultural arts into digital educational media particularly in school-based arts education remains suboptimal. This study aims to explore the potential of local cultural arts digitalization as a form of innovation in arts education aligned with the Merdeka Belajar policy. This research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving arts teachers, students, and local cultural content in elementary school settings. Findings indicate that using digital media rooted in local culture such as traditional dance videos, interactive applications, and folklore animations can increase student interest and strengthen cultural identity. The conclusion affirms that the digitalization of local cultural arts is effective not only as a medium for arts education but also as a strategy for cultural preservation that is adaptive to the digital era and education policies grounded in local wisdom.

Abstract

Abstrak. Akreditasi jurnal ilmiah merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam menjamin kualitas publikasi dan reputasi akademik sebuah institusi pendidikan tinggi. Namun, dalam praktiknya, banyak jurnal ilmiah di lingkungan Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM) menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam proses pengajuan dan reakreditasi, seperti keterbatasan pemahaman teknis, pengelolaan sistem Open Journal Systems (OJS), dan kurangnya kesiapan dokumen pendukung. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan teknis kepada para pengelola jurnal di UNM agar mampu meningkatkan kualitas pengelolaan dan memenuhi kriteria akreditasi nasional yang ditetapkan oleh Arjuna (Akreditasi Jurnal Nasional). Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan berbasis kebutuhan. Kegiatan terdiri atas workshop, klinik jurnal, serta konsultasi individual yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi masing-masing jurnal. Sebanyak 30 tim pengelola jurnal dari berbagai fakultas di UNM terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan ini. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terkait sistem akreditasi dan manajemen jurnal ilmiah. Selain itu, sebagian jurnal peserta telah melakukan perbaikan tata kelola OJS dan mulai menyiapkan dokumen pengajuan akreditasi. Respon positif peserta juga terlihat dari keterlibatan aktif dalam diskusi, permintaan pendampingan lanjutan, serta terbentuknya forum informal antar pengelola jurnal sebagai ruang kolaborasi. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas pengelola jurnal dan menjadi model yang dapat direplikasi untuk mendukung pencapaian mutu publikasi ilmiah secara berkelanjutan di lingkungan universitas.Kata kunci: pendampingan teknis, akreditasi jurnal, Open Journal Systems, pengelolaan jurnal, Universitas Negeri Makassar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan dari model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level di kelas VIII B SMPIT Al-Mumtaz. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Kolaboratif (PTKK) yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus, terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar dari siklus I hingga siklus III. Pada siklus I, hanya 3 peserta didik (10%) mencapai KKTP dengan rata-rata kelas 52,9. Siklus II meningkat menjadi 18 peserta didik (60%) dengan rata-rata 72,1. Siklus III mencapai ketuntasan klasikal dengan 24 peserta didik (80%) dan rata-rata 83,1. Dengan demikian, penerapan PBL dengan Teaching at the Right Level terbukti efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

This article explores the contested concepts of righteous women and submission in Islamic literature, and how Muslim women perceive, interpret, and embody these ideals in daily life. Combining textual analysis with field research, this study investigates women's agency within Islamic frameworks, particularly how religious texts are internalized, contested, or reinterpreted. Primary sources include classical and contemporary tafsir and hadith literature, alongside key works on gender and women’s agency in Islam. Additionally, semi-structured interviews were conducted with ten Muslim women from diverse educational and socio-cultural backgrounds to capture a range of lived experiences. The findings reveal that classical to modern mufassirun predominantly associate women's righteousness with obedience, primarily to God and to husbands, especially in the marriage context. In contrast, contemporary scholarship increasingly frames righteousness as a personal moral and ethical responsibility beyond marital obedience. The interviews reflect this interpretive variation: while some Muslim women uphold traditional views, others prioritize intellectual autonomy, spiritual depth, and egalitarian relationships in the household. The study also identifies varied expressions of women's agency, including devotional commitment, subtle resistance, and strategic engagement with religious norms. Amid ongoing debates over gender roles in Islam, this article underscores the need for a nuanced understanding of how Muslim women actively negotiate religious texts within evolving socio-cultural contexts. It contributes to broader discourses on Islamic feminism, gender justice, and interpretive authority. It also offers fresh insights into the dynamic interface between scripture, tradition, and lived female piety.

Abstract

Sejak diberlakukan Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Dasar mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) digabung dengan mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) dengan nama mata pelajaran IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial).  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar menggunakan model cooperative learning dengan teknik TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray) dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pola control group pre-test-post-test design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan tes. Tekhnik analisa data menggunakan rumus uji statistik t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar IPAS siswa  kelas IV materi wujud zat dan perubahannya antara pembelajaran menggunakan model Cooperative Learning dengan teknik TSTS dengan menggunakan model konvensional. Adanya perbedaan beda hasil pre-test dan post-test pada kedua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen sebesar 20,18 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 10,28 menunjukkan  bahwa hasil belajar IPAS materi wujud zat dan perubahannya yang diajar menggunakan model Cooperative Learning dengan teknik TSTS lebih baik dari pada yang diajar menggunakan model konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar IPAS yang menggunakan Model cooperative learning dengan Teknik TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray) dan pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa Kelas IV SDN Bumianyar II Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024.
