Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of training on employee performance. This type of research uses a quantitative type, while the sample taken is 42 employees. The simple linear regression analysis technique used in this study with validity testing, reliability testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study have been tested for validity and are declared valid with the smallest score of the return on capital indicator of 0.362 and the highest score of work performance (Y) of 0.720 is declared valid. The results of the reliability test that with both variables exceeding Cronbach Alpha> 0.6 so that the study is said to be reliable or worthy of being continued. The results of the study partially show that work training has a positive and significant effect on work performance. With a significance level of 0.002 smaller than 0.05 (0.002 <0.05). Then for the t test with a significance level of 0.05, the value of t1 is obtained: 0.025 = 2.02108 (based on the value of the t statistic table with v = 40 and a significance level = 0.025) while for t count, the value obtained from the data processing that has been done is 3.349 for that it can be concluded that t count> t table, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. For the coefficient of determination based on the existing data, the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.219. This means that job training has an influence of 21.9% on work performance at the Sangalla District office.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication network of mosque administrators in prospering mosques in Dairi Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study approach. This study uses documentary studies, interviews, and observations. This study revealed that the communication network of mosque administrators in Dairi Regency plays a central role in the process of mosque prosperity. The main findings that were successfully identified specifically include: Intensity of Mosque Administrator Communication, Mosque administrators in Dairi Regency, especially core administrators (chairman, secretary, treasurer), have a high intensity of communication through routine discussions after prayers and informal meetings. This communication strengthens internal cooperation and supports the process of building and managing mosques. Communication between mosques is still personal and not yet structurally organized. Content of Communication Messages, The content of the administrator's messages focuses on matters of construction, maintenance, finance, and evaluation of mosque activities. For the congregation, the messages are in the form of invitations to participate in worship and social activities. To the Government and KUA, the messages are administrative in nature. Discussions are also carried out through WhatsApp groups facilitated by the Ministry of Religion, although there is no official organizational forum between mosque administrators. Communication Media Used, The main communication media are WhatsApp and telephone because they are practical and easy to use by administrators, most of whom work as farmers. For formal purposes, such as meetings and activity invitations, printed media in the form of letters are used. This combination of media supports effective communication, although the limitations of communication structures between mosques remain a barrier to broader collaboration.

Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) approach adapted from the Borg & Gall model, the research followed eight key stages, including preliminary research, planning, product development, field testing, revision, and implementation. Conducted at a single Islamic higher education institution, the study found that the developed materials significantly improved students’ reading comprehension of Arabic texts and positively influenced their affective and social engagement, including motivation and active participation. Validation by experts confirmed the materials’ feasibility, with recommendations for refining text structure and grammar. Theoretically, this research contributes to the Value-Based Content and Language Integrated Learning (VB-CLIL) paradigm by positioning Arabic reading instruction as a vehicle for values education, character building, and Islamic identity formation. This can brighten up the class and bring more variety into language lessons This thesis aims to determine whether the use of synonym and antonym quizzes improves the vocabulary and motivation of first-year students at SMAN 9 Tana Toraja. This study used a quasi-experimental method using cluster random sampling technique. The population of this study was 57 students consisting of two classes. Class X.5 was chosen as the control class consisting of 29 students and Class X.4 was chosen as the experimental class consisting of 28 students. The instruments of this study were vocabulary tests through pre-test and post-test and questionnaires to measure student motivation in the experimental class. The results of this study indicate that using synonym and antonym quizzes can improve vocabulary in the experimental class. The pre-test score was "bad" with an average score of 57.5 while the post-test score was "very good" with an average score of 92.5. The data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The T-test value was 20.84, greater than the t-table value of 2.00. This shows that there is a significant difference between the control class and the experimental class. On the other hand, Ha is accepted. Based on the conclusion, the researcher suggests that the author proposes the goal so that English teachers can apply methods and variations to teach english vocabulary in class by using synonym and antonym quiz because it is proven that synonym and antonym quiz provide positive contributions to students' vocabulary

Abstract

This research aims to explore and identify the teaching strategies used by an English teacher to motivate students in learning English vocabulary. The subject of this study is an English teacher at SMPN 51 Makassar, and the research employs a descriptive qualitative method to provide a deeper understanding of the teacher's practices and their impact on students’ motivation. The data for this study were collected through a combination of classroom observations, interviews with the teacher, and documentation of teaching materials and student work. The data obtained was analyzed using four stages: data collection, data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion. The results of the study indicate that the teacher uses a variety of motivational strategies to foster a positive and engaging learning environment. These strategies include building strong, positive relationships with students, which promotes trust and a sense of security in the classroom. Additionally, the teacher creates a fun and supportive atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement. The teacher also employs techniques to arouse students' interest in learning new vocabulary, such as connecting the material to real-life experiences and students’ personal interests. Furthermore, the teacher works to maintain students' enthusiasm for learning by offering varied teaching methods and regularly incorporating interactive activities that sustain interest throughout lessons. Another key finding from the research is the teacher’s emphasis on providing constructive feedback to students. This feedback plays a vital role in reinforcing students’ understanding and boosting their self-confidence, which in turn contributes to their ongoing motivation. By recognizing students’ efforts and providing guidance for improvement, the teacher helps cultivate a growth mindset, where students feel empowered to continue learning and improving.
