Abstract

General Background: Education plays a crucial role in developing students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, with psychomotor skills being essential for practical science learning. Specific Background: In elementary science education, instructional practices often emphasize cognitive knowledge, leaving psychomotor skill development underexplored. Knowledge Gap: Limited research addresses effective strategies for enhancing psychomotor abilities in primary school science contexts. Aims: This study aimed to improve the psychomotor skills of 4th grade primary school students in natural science learning through the application of the experimental method. Results: Using a weak-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest, and saturated sampling of all 19 students, psychomotor ability was measured across three indicators: conducting experiments, analyzing results, and presenting findings. The intervention yielded an N-gain score of 0.71, categorized as high, with notable improvements in conducting (0.89) and analyzing (0.92) experiments. Novelty: This study integrates hands-on experimental activities with structured psychomotor assessment, demonstrating the experimental method’s potential to bridge theory and practice in elementary science education. Implications: Findings highlight the importance of incorporating active, practice-oriented strategies in science curricula to foster holistic learning, suggesting that future research explore scalable, innovative models to sustain psychomotor development in primary education. Abstract

General Background: The integration of cultural contexts into education has gained increasing attention as a means to enhance relevance and engagement in learning. Specific Background: In Indonesia, the application of ethnoscience within the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach has shown potential for improving students’ comprehension of integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) by linking concepts to local wisdom. Knowledge Gap: However, empirical evidence on the effectiveness of ethnoscience-based CTL for elementary-level IPAS learning remains limited. Aim: This study investigates the effectiveness of ethnoscience-based CTL in enhancing learning outcomes, engagement, and perceptions among fifth-grade students. Results: Conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Sedati with 30 participants, the experimental one-group pretest–posttest design revealed that teacher performance and student activity were both rated “good,” learning outcomes improved significantly with an N-Gain of 70% (high category), and student responses were positive. Novelty: The study uniquely combines CTL and ethnoscience in IPAS learning, demonstrating how cultural integration strengthens conceptual understanding. Implications: These findings support the adoption of culturally grounded CTL approaches to foster active participation, improve achievement, and promote meaningful connections between academic content and students’ sociocultural environment. Highlights: Combines CTL with ethnoscience for IPAS learning. Achieves high N-Gain in student outcomes. Enhances engagement through cultural relevance. Abstract

General background: Inclusive education has gained global attention as an effort to ensure equal learning opportunities for all children, including those with special needs. Specific background: However, many non-inclusive schools remain unprepared to provide appropriate services, particularly in fulfilling curriculum needs for children with special needs at the kindergarten level. Knowledge gap: Limited studies explicitly explore how non-inclusive early childhood institutions address curriculum adaptation for children with special needs. Aims: This study aims to examine the implementation of learning curricula for children with special needs in a non-inclusive kindergarten and to identify the challenges faced by the institution. Results: Findings reveal that while the school accepts children with special needs, it lacks a specific curriculum, adequate facilities, and trained human resources, relying instead on partial adjustments to regular curricula and basic individualized support. Novelty: This study contributes insight into how non-inclusive schools attempt to accommodate children with special needs despite structural limitations. Implications: The results highlight the urgent need for policy support, teacher training, and curriculum design tailored to early childhood special needs education. Abstract

Women's problems seem to be a theme that society will never forget. This issue is further strengthened by the role of women which begins to roll along with the development of the times. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that as of 2022 there are 133,542,018 female residents in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the relationship between workplace spirituality and flourishing in women, with an overview of job status. Through a quantitative approach with a correlational method, this study was conducted on 304 women in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, both working and non-working. The results showed that workplace spirituality had a positive effect on flourishing in women, and job status moderated this influence. Working women had higher rates of flourishing than those who did not work, suggesting that job roles provide meaning in daily life that affects psychological well-being. These findings emphasize the importance of promoting workplace spirituality in creating a balance between personal and professional lives, as well as improving women's psychological well-being.

Abstract

Technological developments have had a major impact on education, especially in increasing the effectiveness of the learning process. Infographics are one of the innovative and technology-based learning media, which combines information with interesting visual elements. This study analyzes various literature to examine the influence of the use of infographics in learning on students' learning interests. The results of the study show that infographics can increase students' interest in learning by presenting information visually, making it easier to understand, and making the material more interesting. Infographics also help students remember information, increase engagement, and support independent learning. In addition, infographics are easily accessible and shared digitally, making it easier for students to repeat the material. Research shows that students are more focused and motivated when using visual media compared to conventional lecture methods. Therefore, the use of infographics as a medium of learning can be used as an effective strategy for overcoming various obstacles in learning activities and resulting in an improvement in the quality of education. Educators are advised to utilize infographics in their learning strategies to achieve more optimal results. In conclusion, infographics are an effective tool to make learning more interactive and interesting and to increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental process that plays an important role in shaping quality individuals. In today's digital era, the integration of technology in education is important to create an interactive and dynamic learning environment. However, there are still many teachers who use conventional methods that make student engagement low. Student engagement is a key factor in learning success, involving cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects. Social media, which has become an integral part of daily life, offers great potential to increase student engagement in learning. This research aims to explore the use of social media as a learning medium in increasing student engagement. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study examines literature related to the use of social media such as Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp in various educational contexts. The results of the study show that social media can increase student interaction, collaboration, and learning motivation. Teachers' wise and directed use of social media, as well as support from educational institutions, can enrich students' learning experiences and encourage their active engagement. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of more effective learning media innovations in the digital era, as well as providing insights for educators and policymakers in designing learning strategies that are more efficient and in accordance with technological developments.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of the humanistic learning approach with the Among method in improving teacher performance in the Lumajang Regency Education and Culture Office. The humanistic approach, which puts students at the center of the learning process, is expected to increase teacher involvement, motivation, and competence in managing the classroom and developing student potential. The research method used is a qualitative case study, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The results showed that the Among approach significantly improved teachers' performance in terms of creativity, emotional engagement, and managerial ability. The study also identified some limitations and provided recommendations for further research. In conclusion, the application of humanistic learning with the Among method can be an effective model for improving teacher performance and education quality in Lumajang Regency.

Abstract

Amid many job demands, honorary employees must have resilience and self-resilience so that they can survive and rise from all problems faced so that they can complete their responsibilities as employees. Self-resilience is called resilience. The job demands are called job demands. One of the factors that can affect resilience is the job demands given to honorary employees. This study was conducted to determine the effect of job demand on resilience in honorary employees. Using correlational quantitative research methods. The subjects in this study are honorary employees who work in government agencies of the Special Region of Yogyakarta with a sample of 104 people. The data collection technique carried out in this study is using a research scale. The scale of this study has been tested for reliability and validity. The research data was analyzed using classical assumption tests and hypothesis tests. The results of this study found that there was a very significant influence of job demands and resilience on honorary employees. This is shown by a significance value of 0.000 which indicates that the higher the job demands, the lower the resilience of honorary employees. The subject of this research is still limited to one area, therefore further research is expected to improve the findings or results of the research.

Abstract

Eco-enzyme can solve the problem of waste in households and markets. Eco-enzymes can be a resource for healthy and productive cultivation of vegetables and herbs. Utilization of waste into eco-enzymes can be a new source of income and reduce costs for fertilizers and pesticides for vegetables and herbs. Eco-enzymes can be used for various purposes such as pesticides, liquid fertilizers, growth regulators (ZPT), enzymes that are beneficial for crops and the environment. The results of the analysis of pretest, posttest, and community enthusiasm for processing waste into eco-enzyme are very strong, which can be seen from the answers given by the participants after participating in the training on making eco-enzyme. Previously, in the pretest test, it could be concluded that the peoples in Lubuk Batee Village generally did not know how to make eco-enzyme and its application. Posttest after the implementation of making Eco-enzyme, the results of the response analysis from the two partners showed a significant increase in knowledge and skills in both community groups and this continued to increase after they saw the results of eco-enzyme application on crops. The introduction of eco-enzyme production in two community groups in Lubuk Batee Village, Ingin Jaya Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District has increased the knowledge and skills of partners to process waste into useful products and can reduce waste and its side effects on the environment. Eco-enzyme can also be made into various other products that are beneficial to society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya disiplin siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah al Barokah Jl. Datuk Tunggul Pekanbaru. indikator yang terlihat diantaranya masih banyaknya siswa yang datang terlabat bahkan setelah pagar sekolah dikunci, tidak mengerjakan tugas, suka bermain saat jam pelajaran dimulai. Penelitian bertujuan untuk: mendeskripsikan karakteristik disiplin siswa,  mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam membentuk karakteristik disiplin siswa, dan mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat kedisiplinan siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan pencatatan. Menganalisis data dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Ciri-ciri kedisiplinan siswa meliputi siswa yang menaati peraturan sekolah. Untuk membentuk karakter disiplin siswa guru berperan sebagai guru, pendidik, evaluator, dan panutan bagi siswa. Faktor pendukung yang membentuk karakter disiplin siswa antara lain dukungan dari dalam dan luar sekolah. Faktor penghambat karakteristik disiplin siswa antara lain pengawasan guru yang terbatas terhadap siswa, pengaruh sosial teman, dan penggunaan teknologi yang tidak tepat.
