Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational management functions in strengthening the link and match approach between vocational education and the needs of business and industry. A qualitative library research method was employed using data collected from scholarly journal articles, books, government policy documents, regulations on vocational education, and other relevant studies. Data were gathered through documentation and literature review and analyzed using content analysis, including data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the successful implementation of the link and match approach depends on the effective application of educational management functions. Planning is reflected in curriculum alignment with industry needs; organizing is realized through strengthening partnerships with business and industry; implementation is carried out through practice-based learning and the involvement of industry practitioners; while controlling is conducted through learning evaluation, tracer studies, and industry feedback. The study implies that strengthening educational management practices can improve the relevance of vocational education, enhance graduate competencies, and reduce the gap between educational outcomes and labor market demands.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze global benchmarking practices and best practices, as well as their implementation in Islamic education management, through a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. In the era of globalization and increasingly fierce competition between educational institutions, benchmarking has become a strategic instrument for improving the quality and competitiveness of madrasas and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This study uses the SLR method following the PRISMA 2020 protocol (Page et al., 2021), which includes the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Data were collected from Scopus, Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Emerald Publishing databases spanning 2020 to 2025. A total of 45 qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method articles were analyzed thematically. The study identified that the implementation of global benchmarking in Islamic educational institutions is still limited and not yet systematic. Best practices that can be adopted include transformational leadership strategies, integration of digital technology in learning and governance, development of a global competency-based curriculum, total quality management (TQM), and internal and external quality assurance systems. This research provides theoretical contributions to enriching the Islamic-based integrated quality management model and practical recommendations for policymakers and managers of Islamic educational institutions. The study's conclusions emphasize the need to build a culture of sustainable benchmarking and international collaboration to achieve superior and globally competitive Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pedagogical strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in building noble character (akhlakul karimah) among students at SMA Riyadlul Ulum Sukoharjo, North Lampung, as a response to the growing phenomenon of moral degradation among adolescents. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological design, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and PAI teachers, and documentation study. The findings reveal an integrated implementation of five core instructional strategies: (1) direct instruction through interactive lectures and role modeling; (2) indirect instruction via religious culture habituation; (3) interactive instruction through reflective group discussions; (4) independent study using daily moral journals; and (5) experiential learning through social activities and student organizations. These strategies effectively fostered discipline, honesty, and responsibility, supported by a strong school culture, although social media remained a primary inhibiting factor. The study concludes that the synergy of these five pedagogical approaches provides a holistic framework for internalizing moral values, transforming them from abstract concepts into daily behavioral habits. These results imply that character building in secondary schools requires a collaborative ecosystem between structured teaching, personal reflection, and real-world practice to effectively address modern moral challenges.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges of Islamic Education (PAI) learning in the digital era, where conventional methods are considered less effective in reaching Generation Z students who are familiar with digital platforms. The study aims to analyze the implementation of YouTube and TikTok-based digital literacy in PAI learning at SMKN 2 Tanjung Raya, covering planning, implementation, and evaluation. A qualitative method with a case study approach was employed. Informants were determined through purposive sampling, consisting of PAI teachers, students, and the vice principal of curriculum. Data collection used observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model (reduction, display, conclusion), with validity checks through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The results showed: (1) Planning includes selecting relevant, accurate, and morally valuable video content; (2) Implementation is conducted interactively and multimodally by showing videos as initial stimuli, followed by discussion and reflection; (3) Evaluation covers cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, including social media ethics. This implementation increased learning motivation, made abstract material more contextual, and made students more selective and responsible in consuming digital content. In conclusion, systematically managed use of YouTube and TikTok is proven effective as an adaptive pedagogical strategy in the digital era. This study recommends strengthening digital infrastructure and digital literacy training for teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the acceptance of E-Raport system implementation in improving the quality of elementary education in Pringsewu Regency using the Technology Acceptance Model approach. The research employed a quantitative method with a survey design involving 56 respondents, consisting of 22 school operators and 34 elementary school teachers. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Attitude Toward Using (ATU), and Behavioral Intention to Use (BI). Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS to examine the relationships among variables. The results indicate that all variables fall into high categories, with mean values above 4.00. Hypothesis testing reveals that PEOU significantly influences PU, while both PEOU and PU significantly affect ATU. Furthermore, ATU has the strongest influence on BI. The R-square value of 0.66 indicates that the model explains 66% of the variance in behavioral intention to use E-Raport. These findings suggest that ease of use and perceived usefulness are key determinants in shaping user attitudes and intentions toward technology adoption. The study highlights the importance of developing user-friendly systems and enhancing user competencies to optimize E-Raport implementation in improving the quality of elementary education.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong inovasi dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan Immersive Virtual reality (IVR) sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan IVR sebagai media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan Student Engagement pada siswa sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Metode penelitian mengacu pada protokol PRISMA 2020 dengan melakukan penelusuran artikel menggunakan Publish or Perish berbasis Crossref. Pencarian literatur dilakukan pada periode 2020–2026 dengan kriteria artikel penelitian empiris yang membahas penggunaan Virtual reality atau Immersive Virtual reality dalam pembelajaran serta keterlibatan siswa pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan proses seleksi, diperoleh 21 artikel yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik sintesis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan IVR memberikan dampak positif terhadap tiga dimensi Student Engagement, yaitu behavioral engagement, emotional engagement, dan Cognitive Engagement. IVR mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif, motivasi belajar, perhatian, interaksi, pemahaman konsep, kreativitas, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pengalaman belajar yang imersif dan kontekstual. Namun, implementasi IVR masih menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, biaya perangkat, kesiapan guru, dan hambatan teknis dalam penggunaannya. Dengan demikian, IVR memiliki potensi besar sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar, tetapi penerapannya perlu didukung oleh kesiapan teknologi, kompetensi guru, dan strategi pedagogis yang tepat.

Abstract

Cervical cancer remains a major cause of female mortality worldwide and ranks as the second-leading cause of cancer-related death among women in Indonesia, associated with Human Papillomavirus infection. HPV-driven oncogenesis disrupts cell-cycle regulation through Cyclin E1 upregulation and promotes cell migration, thereby accelerating tumor progression. Curcumin exhibits antitumor activity, but poor solubility and bioavailability limit its clinical use. Curcumin nanoliposomal formulations have been investigated to address these limitations. This in vitro study used a post-test-only control group design to evaluate a curcumin nanoliposomal formulation in HeLa cervical cancer cells. Cells received the formulations at 100, 150, and 200 μg/mL, while cisplatin 5 μg/mL served as the positive control. Cyclin E1 expression was assessed by indirect immunofluorescence and quantified using ImageJ, whereas cell migration was evaluated by scratch wound healing assay at 0 and 24 hours. Curcumin nanoliposomal formulations significantly reduced Cyclin E1 expression (p=0.006), particularly at 150 μg/mL (p=0.016) and 200 μg/mL (p=0.034). Wound closure decreased from 19.28% in the negative control to 3.42% at 200 μg/mL, although post hoc analysis showed no significant difference between treatment groups and negative control. These findings suggest that the curcumin nanoliposomal formulation warrants further validation as a potential adjunctive therapy.
