Incorporating digital-based learning is crucial for fostering self-directed learning among students. Various digital media platforms, such as Google Classroom, Zoom Meetings, and social media, motivate students to actively engage in their studies. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Flipped Digital Classroom (FDC) method on student engagement and English writing proficiency. It employs a quasi-experimental 2x3 factorial pretest-post-test non-equivalent group design and collected data through the Student Engagement in Schools Questionnaire and an English writing test. The FDC group receives pre-recorded lectures, additional reading materials, and online writing assignments before face-to-face discussions, while the control group follows a lecture-based approach with assignments. The analysis involves 48 FDC students and 51 controls, categorized by engagement levels (high, medium, low). Validity and reliability tests are conducted on the questionnaire data, rated on a 5-point Likert scale, while English proficiency is assessed using an English Writing Test. Hypothesis testing utilizes descriptive and inferential statistics, including Two-Way ANOVA. The results indicate a significant 18-point increase in English writing scores for FDC students compared to controls. Furthermore, an interaction analysis reveals a considerable positive impact of method and engagement level on writing skills (p=0.00). English language instructors are encouraged to adopt the FDC method to enhance student engagement and academic achievement in English writing literacy through technology-based learning.

The moral decline among adolescents in the digital age poses a serious challenge to Islamic education, necessitating an effective and sustainable character-building model. This study aims to analyze the integration of the Qur’an memorization method as a character-building tool for students aged 11–13 at the Fastabiqul Khairat Qur’an Memorization Center in Padang, West Sumatra. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through six months of participant observation, in-depth interviews with nine informants, and analysis of supporting documents. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify patterns and internal mechanisms of character formation through tahfidz activities. The results indicate that the practice of Al-Qur'an memorization significantly contributes to strengthening five key dimensions of character: honesty, discipline, responsibility, empathy, and emotional control. The findings reveal that the processes of repetition, interpretation, and internalization of Al-Qur'anic verses form a mechanism for the gradual and continuous internalization of values. Based on these findings, this study proposes two theoretical contributions: the Spiral Internalization concept, which explains the recursive process of character formation through the repetition of verses; and the Tahfidz-Character Nexus (TCN) construct, which identifies the relationship between tahfidz practice, the internalization of values, and character strengthening. These findings fill a gap in the literature regarding the internal mechanisms of character formation among early adolescent santri in the context of tahfidz education. Therefore, the TCN model and the Spiral Internalization mechanism have the potential to be developed as a pedagogical framework for strengthening Qur’an-based character education in the digital age.

This study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of participation in the Student Organization Intra School (OSIS) on students' learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 16 Padang, with a sample of 48 students who participated in the Student Organization Intra School (OSIS) activities. The research method used in this study is an Ex Post Facto quantitative research designed with a cross-sectional design. The data collection techniques in this study are observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The research instrument uses a Likert scale questionnaire to measure the intensity of participation in the student council (OSIS), while learning outcomes are measured thru report card grades for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The research results show a positive and significant influence of participation intensity in the student council (OSIS) on students' academic performance with a percentage of 46.8%. Considering the hypothesis test results, we found that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Tahfiz Al-Qur’an program on the development of students’ religious character at SD IT Alam Tahfiz Adzikra. Using a Mixed Methods design with an Explanatory Sequential approach, this research combines quantitative data collected through a character assessment scale analyzed using SPSS version 26 and qualitative data obtained from in-depth interviews with Tahfiz teachers and field observations. The research subjects consisted of the entire population of 78 students from grades 1 to 6. Descriptive statistical analysis showed an increase in the mean score of religious character from 65.42 (Fair category) before the program to 82.15 (Good category) after the program. The hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant effect. Qualitative findings revealed that the combination of tikrar (repetition), talaqqi (direct recitation to the teacher), and simai (listening and evaluation) methods, implemented four times a week, was effective in fostering worship independence, good manners, and honesty. The main supporting factors were the competence of certified teachers and a parental monitoring system, while the primary obstacle was the consistency of muroja’ah (Qur’anic revision) at home. This study concludes that the integration of Qur’anic memorization with daily character habituation is an effective strategy for developing holistic religious character.

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberdayakan remaja melalui program Daurah Al-Qur’an sebagai upaya pembinaan generasi Qur’ani berbasis revitalisasi fungsi masjid di era digital. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Masjid Raya Baburrahmah, Kelurahan Anduring, Kecamatan Kuranji, Kota Padang, dengan melibatkan 20 peserta berusia 15–18 tahun. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Community-Based Research (CBR) yang partisipatif, memadukan pelatihan intensif tahsin dan tahfidz secara luring dengan pendampingan berkelanjutan melalui media digital WhatsApp secara daring, serta diakhiri dengan pembentukan komunitas belajar. Tahapan CBR meliputi identifikasi masalah, perencanaan partisipatif, pelaksanaan, evaluasi reflektif, dan tindak lanjut keberlanjutan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an, meliputi makharijul huruf, tajwid, ghunnah, mad wal qashar, serta kelancaran bacaan, yang ditandai dengan kenaikan skor rata-rata dari 60 menjadi 89. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan sikap remaja dari apatis menjadi aktif dalam kegiatan masjid, tumbuhnya motivasi religius intrinsik, serta terbentuknya komunitas “Remaja Masjid Qur’ani” yang mandiri. Dengan demikian, program ini efektif meningkatkan kompetensi keagamaan, memperkuat karakter, serta menghidupkan kembali peran masjid sebagai pusat pembinaan generasi muda di masyarakat urban.

This research arises due to the low enthusiasm and academic achievement of students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), particularly in the material of Honesty and Justice, which still largely uses traditional teaching methods. The use of digital learning media, such as Wordwall, is expected to create a more engaging learning experience and increase student participation. The objective of this research is to assess the impact of using Wordwall-based learning media on the motivation and achievement of eighth-grade students at SMP IT Sabbihisma Padang. The method used is a quantitative approach with an experiment thru a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The research subjects consisted of 30 students divided into two groups: the experimental group (15 students) who learned using Wordwall and the control group (15 students) who received traditional teaching. Data were collected using learning outcome tests and motivation questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis results show that the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class increased from 67.53 to 85.73, or an increase of 18.20 points, while the control class increased from 71.00 to 83.00, or an increase of 12.00 points. Additionally, the learning motivation of students in the experimental class reached a level of 96.33% with a very high category, while the control class only reached 57.40% with a moderate category. Thus, the use of Wordwall-based learning media has proven to have a positive impact on the increase in motivation and achievement of students in Islamic Religious Education.

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru berinovasi, termasuk guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Namun, banyak guru PAI SD di Kecamatan Palupuh, Kabupaten Agam, masih kesulitan mengadopsi media canva. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kreativitas dan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan pemanfaatan canva dengan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR), mencakup pemetaan awal, membangun hubungan kemanusiaan, penentuan agenda riset untuk perubahan sosial, pemetaan partisipatif, merumuskan masalah kemanusiaan, menyusun strategi gerakan, pengorganisasian masyarakat, melancarkan aksi perubahan, membangun pusat belajar masyarakat, refleksi, dan meluaskan skala gerakan dan dukungan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru, terbukti dari skor post-test yang naik dari 55% menjadi 87%. Guru lebih percaya diri merancang pembelajaran, yang meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Selain itu, pelatihan mendorong kreativitas guru dalam menyusun materi ajar serta membentuk komunitas berbagi media ajar sebagai bentuk kolaborasi. Meski demikian, kendala seperti akses internet, perangkat terbatas, dan waktu menjadi tantangan. Diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan, dukungan infrastruktur, dan penguatan komunitas agar inovasi berkelanjutan.

The ability to read and write the Qur’an is a fundamental skill that every Muslim should possess. However, in reality, many children and adolescents still cannot read the Qur’an properly and accurately according to tajwid rules. This mentoring program aims to enhance students' ability to read the Qur’an in a tartil manner (slowly, clearly, and correctly) following tajwid rules, train and develop their skills in writing Hijaiyah letters and Qur’anic verses accurately, foster motivation, interest, and love for the Qur’an from an early age, and evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the Tilawati Method in Qur’anic literacy mentoring. The program employs a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, actively involving teachers, students (santri), and mentors in every stage: problem identification, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. Results show that the Tilawati Method is effective evidenced by significant improvement: 18 out of 20 students could read the Qur’an fluently, 17 could write Hijaiyah letters correctly, and 16 could memorize five short surahs with tartil. The method was applied through talaqqi and musyafahah approaches, where students read directly in front of mentors, allowing immediate correction of reading errors. Mentoring was conducted progressively from introducing Hijaiyah letters, practicing tartil reading, to improving fluency in reciting Qur’anic verses. In conclusion, Tilawati-based mentoring is effective in enhancing basic Qur’anic reading skills and can serve as a strategic approach for Qur’anic education in TPQs (Qur’anic Learning Centers) and other Islamic educational institutions.

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the difficulty of beginning reading in and how the teacher's efforts in overcoming the difficulty of beginning reading in students. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with 38 students in grade 1 MIN 6 Padang as the subject. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the factors that influence the difficulty of reading at the beginning of grade 1 MIN 6 Padang City are: Lack of attention from parents, often forgetting letters, peer environment, lack of confidence, difficulty spelling. Furthermore, this study also shows that the teacher's efforts in overcoming reading difficulties at the beginning of class 1 MIN 6 Padang City, namely the dominant teacher uses the syllable method, the teacher increases attention and directs when learning takes place, provides motivation and advice, lends books in the library, and provides hours addition. So it can be concluded that the teacher's efforts in overcoming students' reading difficulties are very influential for students who have initial reading difficulties

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam konteks literasi digital, dukungan orang tua, dan kedisiplinan belajar. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus intrinsik, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi kelas, dan dokumentasi di SMPN 25 Padang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang digunakan masih bersifat konvensional, kurang menarik secara visual, dan tidak terintegrasi dengan kebiasaan belajar digital siswa. Mayoritas siswa menunjukkan preferensi terhadap media pembelajaran digital interaktif yang sesuai dengan gaya belajar mereka. Selain itu, dukungan orang tua dan kedisiplinan kelas terbukti memengaruhi efektivitas penggunaan LKPD. Implikasi dari temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya pengembangan LKPD digital yang multimodal, kontekstual, dan kolaboratif, serta keterlibatan aktif guru dan orang tua dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan generasi digital.
