Abstract

This study aims to find out the role of educators in implementing leadership characters in the subject of Islamic Cultural History in grade VII MTsN 7 Agam in the material of Khulafaur Rasyidin Leadership.  This type of research is qualitative research with the subject of this research being Islamic Cultural History educators and students of grade VII MTsN 7 Agam. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Then this study uses data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawn. The results of this study show that the role of educators is as partners, resource persons, and companions. Educators play the role of partners, namely cooperation between educators and other educators, parents or other parties who are tasked with paying attention to the development of students. Educators act as resource persons tasked with providing information to students about many things related to learning and so on. Meanwhile, educators as companions are in charge of providing direction and advice related to the field or discussion being pursued.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Media Mind Mapping dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi terdiri dari seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 5 Kota Solok. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Kelas yang dilih sebagai kelas eksperimen adalah VIII.3 dan kelas kontrol VIII.4. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan teknik tes berupa soal pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis dengan uji statistik, Uji Paired Sample t-Test, dengan menggunakan software SPSS versi 16. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Z sebesar -9.266  dengan p value (Asymp. Sig. 2 tailed) sebesar 0,000 dimana lebih kecil dari nilai signifikansi 0,05 dengan keputusan Ho ditolak sehingga terdapat perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidika Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti antara sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya model problem based learning berbantuan media mind mapping. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan media mind mapping yang diterapkan dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kepada siswa yang berkebutuhan khusus jenis Slow Learner yang mempunyai masalah dengan daya tangkap rendah saat proses pembelajaran. Anak Slow Learner sulit menerima dan memahami pembelajaran. Hal itu di sebabkan beberapa faktor yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Fokus permasalahan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Evaluasi permasalahan dalam penerapan pembelajaran bagi anak Slow Learner. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi  Edukey bagi anak Slow Learner. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui evaluasi yang dilakukan guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yaitu melakukan pendekatan kepada anak Slow Learner yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakter masing-masing anak dan juga melakukan kerja sama dengan orang tua anak Slow Leaerner guna untuk memantau perkembangan anak dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Cyberbullying has become a serious threat to the mental health of adolescents in the digital era. Its impacts include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and the risk of deviant behavior. A counseling approach based on the values of the Qur'an offers an alternative solution to address these issues through Islamic principles such as compassion (rahmah), wisdom (hikmah), and counsel (mau‘izhah). This study aims to analyze the role of integrating Qur'anic values in counseling to enhance the mental health of adolescents who are victims of cyberbullying. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with literature study and phenomenological analysis of relevant Qur'anic verses and the literature on mental health in Islam. The findings indicate that a Qur'an-based counseling approach can help adolescents develop resilience, cope with emotional stress, and build a strong Islamic identity. Therefore, this approach can serve as a practical guide for Islamic counselors in addressing the mental health issues of adolescents.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of implementing the concept of a child-friendly pesantren as a strategy for moral development aligned with Islamic values and students’ developmental needs. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of the child-friendly pesantren program in fostering students’ morals at Ar-Risalah Islamic Institute Padang. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results show that the child-friendly pesantren program is implemented through habituation, exemplary behavior, and humanistic communication between teachers, dormitory mentors, and students. The implementation of this program successfully nurtures students’ noble character, discipline, and empathy. The study concludes that the success of moral development in pesantren is strongly influenced by a child-friendly culture integrated into all aspects of pesantren life.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of student , their lack of active participation during the learning process, and the use of conventional teaching models that tend to cause boredom in learning  figh among eleventh-grade-students at MAN Kota Solok. The purpose of this study was to determine : (1) students learning outcomes before the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model,( 2) student's learning outcomes after the implementation , and( 3)  the effect of the Jigsaw learning model on student's  fiqh learning outcomes . This study employe a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using the one group Pretests-Posttest Design. The population consisted  of all eleventh-grade of MAN Kota Solok in the 2024/2025 academic year, while the sample was selected through Simple Random  Sampling, namely class XI IPK 2 at the experimental group. Data analysis using SPSS version 25 revealed that the average learning score increased  from 73,66 ( moderate category) before treatnent to 87,61 (high category) after applying the Jigsaw learning model. The t-test result showed a signifcan value of 0.000< 0.005 and count 6,131> t table 2.040 , indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw learning model significantly improves studen's fiqh learning outcomes at MAN Kota Solok  Keywords : Jigsaw Learning Model, Learning Outcomes, Fiqh Learning

Abstract

This study aims to map the development, trends, and research focus related to digital-based learning in Islamic Education (PAI) through a bibliometric approach. The main problem underlying this research is the absence of a comprehensive overview of publication trends and researchers’ contributions in the field of PAI digitalization. This study employs a bibliometric method by analyzing article metadata obtained from the Scopus database within the 2021–2025 timeframe. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques and network visualization with VOSviewer to identify keyword co-occurrence patterns, author collaboration, and research topic clusters. The results show a significant increase in publications related to digital learning in PAI in 2025, particularly in themes such as e-learning, interactive media, and mobile learning. The most dominant keywords include “Islamic education,” “digital learning,” and “e-learning.” Furthermore, the study identified research clusters focusing on digital media development, technology integration in PAI learning, and pedagogical innovations based on online platforms. These findings provide a scientific mapping that can serve as a foundation for future research development as well as more adaptive PAI learning practices aligned with the advancement of digital technologies.

Abstract

This study explores teachers’ and students’ perspectives on Islamic Moral Education (IME) as a strategy to reduce violence and antisocial behavior among adolescents in Islamic elementary schools. The research was motivated by the increasing need to strengthen moral education as a foundation for emotional regulation and social harmony in educational environments. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the issue. Quantitative data were collected through a 50-item questionnaire administered to 70 participants, consisting of 10 teachers and 60 students. Qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with selected participants. Quantitative analysis using SPSS 25 indicated that all dimensions of IME including the integration of Islamic values, behavioral guidance, empathy development, and the influence of teachers and school culture showed significant negative correlations with aggression and antisocial behavior (r = –0.61 to –0.72, p < 0.01). Multiple regression analysis revealed that empathy development was the strongest predictor of behavioral improvement (β = –0.41, p < 0.001). Qualitative findings supported these results, showing that IME promotes self-control, respect, forgiveness, and compassion through moral reflection, Qur’anic teachings, and teacher role modeling. Teachers were perceived as moral exemplars, while regular religious practices such as prayer, reflection, and moral storytelling helped create a supportive ethical climate. However, challenges such as social media influence and limited parental involvement were also identified. The findings suggest that IME plays a significant role in strengthening empathy, emotional regulation, and prosocial behavior among students. Therefore, integrating IME across the school curriculum is recommended, and further research should examine its long-term impact and adaptation to digital educational contexts.

Abstract

This article discusses the crucial role of prayer (shalat) in shaping the discipline of elementary school students. Discipline is highly essential in molding the personalities of children from an early age. Prayer, as one of the religious practices in Islam, not only holds a religious dimension but also brings positive impacts in developing various aspects of character, especially discipline. Through literature review and empirical research, this article elaborates on how regular prayer implementation can serve as a means of shaping discipline in elementary school students. Prayer imparts values such as obedience, responsibility, and perseverance, all of which are key elements in forming discipline. Furthermore, the article explores the positive effects of prayer on the mental well-being of students. The concentration, tranquility of the mind, and self-control taught through prayer can directly contribute to the improvement of discipline in the school environment. The research includes interviews with teachers, parents, and elementary school students, as well as direct observations of prayer practices in their daily lives. The results indicate that students actively involved in prayer demonstrate higher levels of discipline compared to those who do not engage in religious activities. Thus, this article contributes to a deeper understanding of the urgency of prayer in the context of shaping discipline in elementary school students. The implications of these findings can serve as a foundation for the development of a more holistic character education program at the elementary school level, integrating religious values such as prayer as an integral part of the learning process.

Abstract

The rising number of divorce cases in Indonesia reflects shifting gender relations within families and the dynamics of Islamic family law. Existing studies have largely focused on formal legal aspects or statistical trends, while limited attention has been given to how women articulate their gendered legal consciousness in the practice of wife‑initiated divorce (cerai gugat). This study addresses that gap by highlighting the novelty of analyzing gendered legal consciousness as a framework for understanding women’s agency in litigation. Using a qualitative case study design in three Religious Courts (Surabaya, Semarang, Bandung), data were collected through in‑depth interviews with 7–12 female petitioners and 5–7 court actors (judges, clerks, lawyers) in each site, complemented by courtroom and mediation observations. Purposive sampling with maximum variation was applied to capture diverse experiences based on grounds for divorce, socio‑economic background, and legal representation. Findings reveal that women strategically mobilize legal procedures and mediation to transform private issues—domestic violence, infidelity, neglect—into legally recognized claims. Although litigation imposes emotional and administrative burdens, participation in court provides new forms of empowerment and symbolic legitimacy. More importantly, women’s interactions with judicial processes shape gendered legal consciousness: they come to understand and reinterpret law as both a site of constraint and a space for renegotiating gender relations. Thus, litigation and mediation are not neutral mechanisms but arenas where agency is asserted and justice redefined. Theoretically, this research expands socio‑legal scholarship by situating gendered legal consciousness within Islamic family law. Practically, it demonstrates that Religious Courts function as dynamic social arenas where gender power relations are contested and women’s agency is reconstituted.
