Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the forms of social control of teachers that are preventive, coercive, curative applied to class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Bungo; and to analyze the factors causing class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Bungo to commit violations of discipline. The type of research is qualitative research. Through the sampling technique using Purposive Sampling so that the sample obtained is: PPKn Teacher, BK Teacher, Homeroom Teacher, Class XI Students, and Student Affairs Teacher. Research data was obtained by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. After all has been obtained, the data was analyzed qualitatively with 3 stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the social control of teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Bungo that is applied: preventive, through socialization of rules and advice, but is hampered by the crisis of teacher role models; coercive, through a point system and raids that tend to produce temporary compliance due to the perception of injustice in the enforcement of sanctions; and curative, through tiered coordination and parental involvement which has proven to be the most effective in providing a deterrent effect. Factors causing students to violate discipline include external factors such as weak role models and less conducive classroom environments, as well as internal factors such as low student trust in the confidentiality of guidance counselors and the strong influence of peer group solidarity.

Abstract

This study aims to map the development of research on digital transformation in music learning through a bibliometric approach based on Scopus data for the 2020–2025 period. The analysis was conducted to identify publication trends, thematic structure, and geographic distribution of research. The method used was bibliometrics with the help of VOSviewer to analyze keyword co-occurrence, thematic clusters, and the interrelationships between key concepts within the study area. The results show that publication trends fluctuated at the beginning of the period, then increased significantly in the later years, indicating a process of normalization and strengthening of the role of digital technology in music education. The thematic structure shows the dominance of pedagogical concepts such as music education and e-learning, but is beginning to evolve towards more complex technologies such as artificial intelligence and immersive systems. Meanwhile, the geographic distribution shows a dominance of developed countries with limited involvement from developing countries. The conclusion of this study confirms that digital transformation in music learning is an ongoing process of educational paradigm evolution, with a developmental direction toward more adaptive, inclusive, and multidisciplinary technology integration within the modern music learning ecosystem. Keywords: Digital Transformation; Music Learning; Bibliometrics; Digital Music Education.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the community’s knowledge and skills in making natural-ingredient massage oils as both an alternative health product and a business opportunity. The program was implemented in Bingkat Village, Pegajahan Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency, with the primary target being housewives who are members of the PKK group. The main challenges faced by the community partners include high reliance on chemicalbased products, limited understanding of the use of medicinal plants, and a lack of productive activities that support family economies. Implementation methods included outreach sessions, training, hands-on practice, and guidance in making massage oil using natural ingredients such as lemongrass oil and nutmeg seed oil. In addition, participants were also provided with training in packaging, business management, and basic marketing. The results of the activities showed an increase in the community’s knowledge and skills in processing natural ingredients into massage oil products that are safe, effective, and economically valuable. This program is expected to promote community selfreliance and increase family income through the development of businesses based on local potential.

Abstract

Human detection using thermal cameras is very useful in certain conditions, such as detecting people lost in mountainous areas that are difficult to explore. Rescue operations are usually conducted by deploying a search and rescue (SAR) team to the location, which is not always effective because this operation can only be carried out under certain conditions and may pose a risk to the SAR team itself. Therefore, one alternative approach is the use of drones equipped with human detection and recognition capabilities. In this context, thermal cameras are used because they can penetrate challenging environments, making them suitable for SAR operations. The object detection method used in this study was You Only Look Once (YOLO) version 8 or YOLOv8. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of integrating enhanced super-resolution generative adversarial networks (ESRGAN) with YOLOv8 and incorporating a convolutional block attention module (CBAM) into the neck architecture of YOLOv8. The performance of ESRGAN with YOLOv8 and CBAM with YOLOv8 was evaluated using precision, mean average precision (mAP), and training loss. Based on the experimental results, the combination of ESRGAN with YOLOv8 outperformed the CBAM-based modification. This is indicated by higher precision and mAP values, as well as lower training loss in the ESRGAN-enhanced YOLOv8 detection framework. The experimental findings highlight that image enhancement using ESRGAN is more effective than CBAM-based modification in improving thermal image-based human detection performance for SAR applications.

Abstract

Solar Power Plants (PLTS) are renewable-based electricity systems for areas not yet reached by the national grid. This study aims to design and test a small-scale PLTS system for lighting a farm house in Selayar Regency. The system consists of a 100 Wp solar panel, a PWM 10A charge controller, LiFePO4 batteries, and 30–40 W LED loads. The research method includes system design, assembly, and performance testing. The results show that the solar panel produced a voltage of 13.2–13.6 V, solar radiation intensity of 560–1235 W/m², and an average efficiency of 11.71%. The system meets daily energy needs of 1.260 Wh and provides lighting for 12 hours per night. This PLTS system proves effective as a clean energy solution for remote areas

Abstract

This study aims to develop a design for a Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station of the fast-charging type for two-wheeled vehicles powered by a Solar Power Plant. The system is designed to support the clean energy transition and provide a sustainable charging solution. The Electric Vehicle Charging Station is assembled using a single solar panel with a capacity of 375 WP, a 12V 100Ah storage battery, an MPPT 60A controller, a 1200W 20A boost step-up converter, a 24V DC fan, a diode, and a battery capacity module. The test results show that the lithium-ion battery with an initial voltage of 48V and an initial charging current of 2.57A reached full charge (52V) within 1 hour and 30 minutes, while the SLA battery with an initial voltage of 52V and an initial charging current of 0.56A reached 52.8V in 3 hours and 10 minutes. The system demonstrated component stability, particularly in the boost converter, and operated effectively with a constant input power of 81.33W. However, the 12V 100Ah storage battery capacity was insufficient to charge more than one battery, indicating the need for a larger storage capacity.

Abstract

The weak digital literacy and low reading interest of students in the digital era are the driving factors for this research, because both have the potential to hinder the development of national insight. Based on an initial survey of students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Study Program at Jambi University, it was found that 50% of students had a low national insight category. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy and reading interest on the national insight of PPKn students at Jambi University, both partially and simultaneously. The approach used is quantitative with an associative type and ex-post facto method. The study population included all active PPKn students at Jambi University, with a sample of 112 respondents determined through proportionate stratified random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using an ordinal logistic regression test with the help of SPSS version 26. The results showed that digital literacy and reading interest have a significant effect on national insight with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The effect size reached 55.6% (R-Square = 0.556), while the remaining 44.4% was influenced by factors outside this study. These findings indicate that students with good digital literacy and a high interest in reading tend to have a better understanding of national values, and vice versa.
