Abstract

This study examines pedagogical perspectives on viewing skills (keterampilan memirsa) in Indonesian language education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of studies published between 2021 and 2024. Guided by the PRISMA 2020 protocol, sixteen empirical and conceptual articles were selected from major academic databases to analyze how viewing is conceptualized, taught, and integrated within the Kurikulum Merdeka framework. The findings reveal that viewing has shifted from a peripheral literacy component to a central pedagogical construct that supports multimodal, critical, and character-based learning. Across educational levels, viewing activities—such as video-based storytelling, interactive H5P modules, digital game-based learning, and multimodal text analysis—were shown to enhance students’ cognitive comprehension, affective engagement, and digital literacy. Teachers played a pivotal role as facilitators who scaffold interpretation, guide moral reflection, and design multimedia-rich learning environments. Despite these advancements, challenges remain in teacher preparedness, uneven technological access, and the absence of standardized assessment instruments. Overall, this review highlights the growing importance of viewing skills as a foundational element of multimodal literacy and offers pedagogical insights for strengthening curriculum design, instructional practice, and teacher development in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

Teacher absenteeism remains a major challenge in remote and underdeveloped regions of Indonesia, particularly in the highlands of West Papua. The phenomenon has significant implications for the quality of early childhood and primary education. Drawing on findings from the Strategic Action Workshop on Reducing Teacher Absenteeism held in Pegunungan Arfak (UNIMUDA–UNICEF Partnership, 2025), this study analyzes the effectiveness of the Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) approach in identifying root causes and designing locally relevant solutions. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data were collected through Gallery Walk observations, focus group discussions, and iterative reflections with participants. Results show that teacher absenteeism in Pegunungan Arfak is influenced by geographic inaccessibility, socio-cultural norms, and weak institutional coordination between education authorities and customary leaders. The most significant outcome of the PDIA process was the increase in teacher attendance that emerged after participants co-created feasible actions rooted in local conditions. Through PDIA, participants developed solutions such as customary education forums, teacher support groups, and community-based monitoring systems. This study offers practical guidance for district officials, school leaders, and community stakeholders seeking to strengthen accountability and improve learning continuity in remote education settings.

Abstract

Cooperative learning model that makes students work in groups can solve a problem, one of which is Think Pair Share (TPS). The purpose of using this cooperative learning model was that it enabled students to discuss, assess each other's latest knowledge, and help each other in solving mathematical problems. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of the learning model applied in the experimental class on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The type of this research was experimental with a Quasi-Experimental Design. The population of this study were all fifth-grade students of SD Kartika I-10 Padang. The technique used for sampling was Saturated Sampling. The sample in this study was class VB students of SD Kartika I-10 Padang as the experimental class and class VA students of SD Kartika I-10 Padang as the control class. The instrument used was a problem-solving ability test. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test. The results of data analysis obtained tcount = 0.87 and ttable = 1.681 with db = 43 (n1 + n2 – 2 = 23 + 22 – 2 = 43) and a significant level of 5%. Based on the test, tcount < ttable (0.87 < 1.68), so H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected with the conclusion that “TPS Type Cooperative Learning Model did not have a significant influence on mathematical problem-solving ability at Grade V SD Kartika I-10 Padang in the academic year 2019/2020.”

Abstract

This study examines the legal responsibility of the National Land Agency (BPN) of Wajo Regency regarding the issuance of Land Ownership Certificates (SHM) for land still under dispute at the Sengkang District Court. The study employed qualitative methods with a normative and empirical juridical approach. Data were obtained through document studies, interviews with BPN officials, and field observations. The results indicate that the BPN has not fully implemented the principle of prudence in the land registration process. Certificates for land still under legal process are issued without adequate verification with relevant agencies such as the court or village government. Verification is often based solely on documents from the applicant without confirmation of the dispute status. This creates potential conflict, overlapping rights, and undermines legal certainty. The study concludes that the BPN's legal responsibility has not been optimally implemented, both administratively, procedurally, and substantively. The implications of this study are the need to strengthen the verification system, improve inter-agency coordination, and comprehensively evaluate land registration procedures to prevent new disputes and create a transparent and accountable land system.
