Abstract

Background of the study: Generally, during the rainy season, many potholes asphalt road are found. The high rainfall results in the fragile contour of the asphalt road and triggers a traffic accident. In the last decade, the development of potholes asphalt road detection has various method approaches.Purpose:  The research used precision to get a performance of the system.Method: In this study, the development system can classify potholes asphalt road by a simple algorithm. It also considers the time and space complexity.Findings: The algorithms as possible and only uses the handy-camera device to capture data which the level of performance as good as the results of previous research. Capturing data is also various distances with 450 point angles. For classification steps, the system applied two main features, area and shape feature of the object. The used parameters for these features are the length of major and minor axis object. It used to calculate area and eccentricity values.Conclusion: In conclusion, the experiment result reaches 81.696% of the 1125 frames used.

Abstract

Guidance services in schools are one way to motivate student learning in schools, therefore guidance programs must always be owned or run in every educational unit. Likewise the role of parents at home in terms of supervision of learning for children, with environmental conditions in industrial estates, busy parents and lack of supervision, which greatly influences their motivation to learn. But among the teachers and parents, there are some who have carried out tutoring and supervision of their children. This study aims to determine the effect of tutoring and parental supervision together (simultaneous) on students' motivation to study in Public Elementary Schools in Tenggarong industrial area. This research is a Field Work Recearch (field research) with a quantitative / statistical approach with a population of 107 students of class V and VI of State Elementary School 006 and 016 Tenggarong with a sample of 84 respondents obtained from sampling using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instrument used in the form of a questionnaire / questionnaire and the data analysis technique used is the F test to determine the effect of variables simultaneously. Based on the data from the results of the calculation obtained from the results of the F count test = 27.015> F table = 3.12, at a significant level obtained 0,000 <0.05 has a contribution of 40% so that it can be said that there is a significant influence of tutoring and supervision of parents simultaneously students' motivation to study in Public Elementary Schools in Tenggarong industrial area.

Abstract

Welding technique is one of the process connection metal in the manufacturing industry. Aluminum alloys have several advantages including: light, good electrical and corrosion resistant properties. Welding application of  dissimilar aluminum alloys with the  5083 and 6061-T6 series such as building structures, bridges, railroad frames, ships and oil platforms. The joining of dissimilar aluminum alloys by welding technique is difficult because the metal has different thermophysis properties. The study aimed of this research to analyze the mechanical properties of variation welding current on joint area GTAW. Visual observation shows that the joint specimen with the low current (100 A) has low penetration in welding groove, whereas at the high current (140 A) undercut occurs on the side of the weld seam, there are spatter and deposits (excessive added material). The hardness test with the current 120 A shows the regular distribution and has the highest tensile test of 201 MPa.

Abstract

Pembangunan nasional adalah upaya untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang adil, makmur, kompetitif, maju dan sejahtera. Salah satu kendala dalam proses pembangunan adalah banyaknya jumlah pengangguran di suatu daerah, desa Bojongcae adalah salah satu desa di provinsi Banten dengan total pengangguran 530 orang. Tingginya tingkat pengangguran akan menjadi hambatan dalam proses pembangunan dan pertumbuhan desa Bojongcae, karena berkurangnya jumlah pendapatan asli daerah dan rendahnya produktivitas sumber daya manusia di desa. Jadi dalam penelitian ini akan melihat faktor-faktor yangmenyebabkan tingginya pengangguran serta strategi yang diambil untuk mengatasi masalah pengangguran. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode campuran (kuantitatif &amp; kualitatif), dengan melakukan analisis SWOT untuk strategi menghadapi masalah pengangguran dananalisis deskriptif data untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat menyebabkan masalah pengangguran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hal-hal yang dapat menyebabkan pengangguran diklasifikasikan menjadi indikator variabel, yaitu: pendidikan, keterampilan, upah dan informasi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in creativity and students problem solving abilities after applying the ?Treffinger? learning model. This type of research is quantitative research. The design of this study was a quasi-experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The research instruments in the form of creativity test and problem solving abilities test is an essay question. The study population was all students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Kudus in 2017/2018 Academic Year. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. &nbsp;The experimental class treated with ?Treffinger? learning model and control class with conventional learning (lecture). The analysis technique uses gain test, t test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and simple linear regression. The results showed an increase in creativity and problem-solving ability of the experimental class was greater than the control class. Student creativity has a positive effect on their problem solving ability by 46.1%.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analyze the need to develop supplementary book of writing skills for beginner with local wisdom content for second grade elementary school students, develop an supplementary book products, and test the effectiveness of supplementary book products. This research used a research and development method with seven steps, they are a preliminary study, analysis of development needs, initial product development, product validation and product revision, small-scale trials and product revisions, wide-scale trials and product improvement, final products. Research data were collected through a needs questionnaire, validation sheets, pre-test and post-test questions, and response questionnaires. The results of the research show that supplementary writing books are needed in the process of learning of writing for beginner. The results of the validation of the supplementary book are 74.69% with a valid category and the learning outcomes of the aspects of knowledge and skills improve with the score of n-gain 0.63 in the aspects of knowledge and 0.57 in the aspects of skills. Based on the results of the validation and effectiveness test the effective supplementary book is used as a complement book in the learning process.

Abstract

The research is aimed at finding out the distinctive between Sasak language and English language affixation in which this is the starting point of investigating whether or not it has some similarities or may differences. The similarities will bring the easiness to the students while the differences will bring the difficulties. The result of the study is very particularly aimed to improve students? vocabulary mastery during the classroom teaching action. Hopefully, it will bring some positive effect on students? mastery regarding to the worse condition of vocabulary mastery. The interview was conducted closely to the research participants to dig up the information on how the affixation might change the meaning of particular word in Sasak language which then confirmed to that of English language have. The data collected through the interview process then will be transcribe and reduced based on research need for the sake of answering the research question. The research conclusion was made based on data finding during the field interview process. The research result than applied in the classroom teaching practice and published widely on journal of English language teaching.

Abstract

Biodiversity is the diversity of organisms that indicate the overall variation of genes, species, and ecosystems in a region. This research aims to investigate the aquatic biodiversity in Teupin Layeu Iboih beach Sabang for resources marine ecotourism. The research was carried out from March to June 2014. A descriptive approach was applied to present the research findings to show biodiversity of the Teupin Layeu Iboih. The results of the research found 71 species of coral fish, 21 species of coral, and 15 species of aquatic invertebrates. Biodiversity were found in Teupin Layeu Iboih beach was varied and could be used for attraction in the development of marine ecotourism. Therefore, tourism activity that could be sustainable without being damaged by the nature.

Abstract

Begin with ?the annual habit? of Indonesian government in which the curriculum will be changed as the change of educational paradigm. This paper then aimed to explain about the urgency of new policy in teaching-learning realm and how the teacher adapt and apply that new curriculum in real teaching-learning situation in the classroom. As matter of fact, based on many surveys conducted by some institutions proved that many teachers in every corner of Indonesia still enjoy teaching in their old teaching behavior. No matter how many times the curriculum changed, the problem is that the teachers find it difficult to adapt with the new curriculum. The difficulty in understanding the resent curriculum may caused by many factors, such as lack of information and teachers? education. Therefore, this paper explains how the teachers should change their old teaching behavior to support the aim of Indonesian government in empowering and increasing the quality of human resource.

Abstract

This research aims to develop STEM student worksheets to determine the characteristics and feasibility of the worksheets, and to know the increase of students creative thinking skills in secondary student. This research method uses the Research and Development (R &amp; D) method. The subjects of the small group trial were IX A and the large scale test subjects were VIII A as the experimental class and VIII B as the control class. LKS is compiled by collaborating on the content of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The results of the feasibility test in terms of the feasibility of content, presentation, and language in criteria very feasible to use in learning activities. Readability test results indicates that LKS is easy to understand by students. The results of the n-gain test for the pretest-posttest score has high criteria.
