Abstract

Relationship in counseling is an important thing, so that the counseling process runs smoothly and effectively and so that clients feel comfortable and accepted in counseling. This writing uses the literature review method by collecting various sources such as books, journals, theses and other relevant websites. In order for the counseling process to run properly and the counseling objectives can be achieved perfectly, it can be seen from how the relationship between the counselor and the client in the counseling process. If the client is YAVIS then the relationship created by the counselor at the beginning of counseling can be said to be successful. Therefore, the relationship in counseling in the main milestone in undergoing the next step or counseling process.

Abstract

Identity crisis is a common problem experienced by teenagers, where they often experience confusion regarding self-meaning and life goals. This phenomenon can cause significant emotional and social distress. This research aims to review the effectiveness of counseling with an existential approach in helping teenagers face identity crises. Through a systematic literature review method, this research analyzes various studies that explore the role of existential counseling in supporting adolescent identity development. The research results show that the existential approach is effective in helping teenagers find the meaning of life, increase self-acceptance, and reduce existential anxiety. Additionally, this counseling encourages independence and personal responsibility, which are important in building a strong and healthy identity. The implications of this research indicate that an existential approach can be a useful strategy for counseling practitioners in supporting adolescents to overcome identity crises and improve their psychological well-being.

Abstract

This research begins from the background regarding each individual's interpersonal communication skills that need to be improved in this globalization era. As an empty chair technical intervention in individual counseling services provided to have interpersonal communication skills, one of those skills is maintaining good communication in the daily environment, especially with parents. This study uses a quantitative method using a survey research design that aims to determine the effectiveness of individual counseling services with empty chair techniques to improve interpersonal communication skills. The purpose of this study is to find a picture of the effectiveness of individual counseling services with empty chair techniques to improve interpersonal communication skills and to find out individual counseling services with effective empty chair techniques to improve interpersonal communication skills. Data processing was performed by comparing the scores of pretest and posttest results on a client (S) aged 20 years. Analysis of the research data used is based on client respondents (S) on the DASS instrument before and after the implementation of individual counseling services with the empty chair technique. Thus it can be concluded that individual counseling services with the empty chair technique are effective for improving interpersonal communication skills.

Abstract

Konseling adalah proses bantuann yang diberikan ahli kepada individu atau sekelompok individu untuk mengembangakan KES dan mengentaskan KES-T. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pentingnya peran layanan konseling bagi anak panti yang berlatar belakang beragam. Berkumpul hidup dalam rumah panti asuhan dimana penyesuaian diri sangatlah penting untuk dilakukan oleh setiap indivudu penghuni panti. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen DASS Indonesia untuk mengetahui kondisi psikologis yang berkenaan dengan stres, kecemasan dan depresi. Dan memberi intervensi dengan memberi layanan konseling kelompok dan konseling perorangan. Hasil pengolahan instrumen DASS diperoleh kehidupan yang bahagia dialami anak selama di panti. Namun ada 2 anak yang mengalami kecemasan berat yang harus menemui konselor dan 4 orang anak mengalami kecemasan sederhana dan perlu pengelolaan. Layanan konseling perlu diberkan agar rasa kecemasan dapat segera teratasi dan tidak berlarut-larut yang dapat menghambat perkembangan anak.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of individual counseling services to counselees who are addicted to online games. The object of this study is a 19-year-old man who lives in the Bekasi area. This problem is researched using a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. The data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The data collected is descriptive qualitative using an interactive analysis model. The results of the research are presented through the dynamics of BMB3 in individual counseling services carried out in several stages, including: (1) Delivery; (2) Scoping; (3) Interpretation; (4) Development; (5) Assessment. The application of individual counseling is directed towards structured positive behavior that is seen through the process of thinking, acting, acting and being responsible for oneself. The results of this study indicate that individual counseling with the concept of BMB3 is effective for the problem of online game addiction.

Abstract

The rapid development of guidance and counseling science and its mutual refinement is a positive trend that needs to be continued. Likewise, Islamic counseling theories need to be introduced and implemented in the science of guidance and counseling. One of the theories that is important to know and glorify is Al-Ghazali’s psycho-spiritual counseling theory. This research aims to conduct an in-depth study of Al-Ghazali’s psycho-spiritual counseling theory. The research is oriented towards a qualitative approach, utilizing the library research method.  Furthermore, it is analyzed by using the content analysis method. The results of this study explain that Al-Ghazali’s psycho-spiritual counseling theory focuses on revamping the aspects of al-nafs, al-qalb, al-ruh, and al-’aql as an effort to alleviate individual problems. This counseling is carried out through 5 important stages, namely, building good relationships with clients, recognizing themselves and identifying the causes of problems, applying the tazkiyah al-nafs approach with the rules of mujahadah al-nafs (takhalli), applying the tazkiyah al-nafs approach with the rules of riyadah al-nafs (tahalli) and assessment. The results of this study can be one of the guidelines and credible sources regarding the implementation of Al-Ghazali’s psycho-spiritual counseling, so that it can be applied as an intervention effort in overcoming individual problems.

Abstract

Sexual violence is a social phenomenon that remains widespread in Indonesia, involving not only adults but also children, both as victims and perpetrators. One form of sexual violence includes physical actions such as kissing, touching, and penetration, which stem from negative thoughts. Interventions are needed to address this behavior, one of which is group counseling based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with the thought stopping technique. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group counseling using CBT with the thought stopping technique in reducing sexual violence behavior among inmates. The research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consists of 10 inmates in the experimental group and 10 in the control group, selected using purposive sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale, and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Independent Samples, supported by SPSS version 26.0. The results show that: (1) the experimental group experienced a significant reduction in sexual violence behavior, reaching a low category; (2) the control group remained in the moderate category; (3) there were significant differences before and after the intervention between the experimental and control groups. Group counseling using CBT with the thought stopping technique is proven effective and can serve as an alternative intervention to address sexual violence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis teknik-teknik dari teori cognitive behavior therapy yang dipakai dalam pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. Sehingga dapat menjadi panduan bagi guru BK/Konselor dalam melaksanakan baik konseling individual maupun bimbingan dan konseling kelompok menggunakan pendekatan cognitive behavior therapy dengan teknik-teknik CBT yang terbukti ampuh mengatasi berbagai permasalah siswa di sekolah. Metode penelitian ialah kajian pustaka dimana data di peroleh dari berbagai sumber referensi seperti artikel, buku-buku sumber, dan dokumen pendukung lainnya. Pemahaman yang baik akan pemanfaatan teknik-teknik CBT dalam konseling dapat menambah wawasan para guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam menguasai dan menerapkan teknik-teknik cognitive behavior therapy dalam praktek konseling.

Abstract

This research is based on phenomena that occur in the field which show symptoms of prograstination in students. The aim of this research is to find out what is behind procrastination behavior. This research used a case study approach with the subject studied being one student with symptoms of prograstination. The data collection methods used were interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis uses content analysis and comparative analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that factors contributed to the client's procrastination behavior. First, clients experience frustration due to low learning outcomes, which then triggers negative emotions and interferes with focus in completing tasks. Second, the client develops a habit of avoiding tasks, even though he is aware that the task is important and must be completed immediately. Third, the client's academic procrastination behavior is relatively high, with consistent delays in starting and completing assignments. Lastly, the gap between plans and time indicates that the client does not have good time management skills, resulting in a lot of time being wasted. Overall, negative emotional factors, task avoidance, inability to manage time, and difficulty starting tasks are the main background for procrastination experienced by clients.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi konsep akhlak Al-Ghazali dalam pengembangan kompetensi konselor Islam. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah bagaimana nilai-nilai akhlak yang diajukan oleh Al-Ghazali dapat diimplementasikan dalam praktik konseling Islam untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan kualitas layanan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian pustaka dengan analisis kualitatif terhadap literatur yang relevan mengenai akhlak Al-Ghazali dan teori konseling Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai akhlak Al-Ghazali, seperti kejujuran, kesabaran, dan empati, dapat memperkuat kompetensi konselor dalam memberikan layanan yang lebih bermakna dan sesuai dengan kaidah Islam. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan akhlak Al-Ghazali dalam konseling Islam tidak hanya meningkatkan hubungan antara konselor dan klien, tetapi juga memperkuat landasan moral dan etika dalam praktik konseling.
