Abstract

 Teknik untuk memperbaiki kualitas perairan yang aman dan efektif salah satunya dapat menggunakan mikroorganisme.Penelitian ini menggunakan produk mikroorganismepengolah limbah dengan komposisi (Rhodopseudomonas sp., Lactobacillus sp., Aspergillus sp., Penicilium sp., Sacharomyces sp. dan Actinomycets sp.) sebagai bahan bioremidiator untuk mereduksi bahan pencemar pada limbah pencucian ikan tongkol sebagai air sampel. Penelitian ini mengukur konsentrasi amoniak (NH3), nitrit (NO2) dan asam sulfida (H2S) sebagai parameter utama dan DO, pH dan temperatur air sebagai parameter pendukung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan mikroorganisme pengolah limbah dengan perlakuan yang berbeda terhadap konsentrasi amoniak, nitrit dan asam sulfida. Perlakuan berbeda pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan 2 tahap uji, mikroorganisme tidak difermentasi dan difermentasi masing-masing selama 24 dan 96 jam dan terdiri dari 3 ulangan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masing- masing perlakuan mengalami peningkatan konsentrasi amoniak, nitrit dan asam sulfida. Peningkatan konsentrasi amoniak, nitrit dan asam sulfida yang paling rendah dari perlakuan lainnya adalah pada perlakuan mikroorganisme yang tidak difermentasi selama 96 jam. Kata kunci: Limbah pencucian ikan, mikroorganisme, amoniak, nitrit, asam sulfida  ABSTRACT One of techniques to improve the quality of water that is safety and effectivelly can use microorganisms. This study uses a product microorganisms waste treatment with the composition are (Rhodopseudomonas sp., Lactobacillus sp., Aspergillus sp., Penicilium sp., Sacharomyces sp. and Actinomycets sp.) as a material bioremidiator to reduce pollutants and waste leaching Tongkol fish (Auxis thazard) as water samples , This study measured the concentration of ammonia (NH3), nitrite (NO2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) as the main parameter and DO, pH and water temperature as a secondary parameter. This study aims to determine the ability of microorganisms to the waste treatment unequal treatment of concentrations of ammonia, nitrite, and hydrogen sulfide. Different treatment on this study are the second phase of the test, the microorganism is not fermented and unfermented respectively for 24 and 96 hours and consists of three replications. The results of this study indicate that each treatment had increased concentrations of ammonia, nitrite, and hydrogen sulfide. Increasing concentrations of ammonia, nitrite and hydrogen sulfide are lower than most other treatments is the treatment of microorganisms are fermented for 96 hours. Keywords: Fish washery waste, microorganism, ammonia, nitrite, hydrogen sulfide

Abstract

 Limbah pencucian ikan dari pasar ikan dan industri pengolahan ikan tradisional biasanya langsung dibuang di saluran pembuangan tanpa adanya pengolahan limbah terlebih dahulu. Dampak pencemaran ini dapat menurunkan kualitas perairan sehingga menganggu kelangsungan hidup biota perairan dan masyarakat sekitar karena proses degradasi dari limbah. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan teknik yang aman, efektif, dan ekonomis salah satunya dengan mikroorganisme sebagai bioremidiator. Penelitian ini menggunakan produk mikroorganisme pengolah limbah sebagai bahan bioremidiasi dengan komposisi mikroorganisme (Rhodopseudomonas sp., Lactobacillus sp., Aspergillus sp., Penicilium sp., Sacharomyces sp., dan Actinomycets sp.) untuk mereduksi bahan pencemar dan limbah pencucian ikan tongkol sebagai air sampel. Penelitian ini mengukur konsentrasi amoniak (NH3), nitrit (NO2) dan asam sulfida (H2S) sebagai parameter utama dan DO, pH, temperatur, dan bau air sebagai parameter pendukung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan mikroorganisme dalam upaya mengurangi bahan pencemar limbah pencucian ikan dari konsentrasi amoniak, nitrit dan asam sulfida. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan penambahan mikroorganisme 6 perlakuan termasuk kontrol (K= Kontrol, A= 0,01 ml , B = 0,1 ml ,C= 1 ml, D =10 ml dan E= 100 ml)  menggunakan mikroorganisme yang tidak difermentasi selama 96 jam, terdiri dari 3 ulangan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi amoniak, nitrit, dan asam sulfida pada perlakuan A, B, C, D, dan E lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan kontrol, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mikroorganisme dapat menurunkan limbah pencucian ikan tongkol. Nilai efektivitas paling tinggi yaitu perlakuan E sebagai bioremidiasi limbah pencucian ikan dengan persentase amoniak 59,88 %, nitrit 64,60 % dan asam sulfida 19,19%.  Fish washery waste from the fish market and the traditional fish processing industry actually disposed in the sewer without waste treatment. The impact this poluttion can degrade the quality of water that disrupts the survival of aquatic biota and local resident because the degradation process of waste. Therefore we need a technique that is safe, effective, and economical one of them with the bacteria as bioremidiator. This study using microorganism as bioremidiator the composition of microorganisms (Rhodopseudomonas sp., Lactobacillus sp., Aspergillus sp., Penicillium sp., Sacharomyces sp., and Actinomycets sp.) and Tongkol washery waste as sample. This study measured the concentration of ammonia (NH3), nitrite (NO2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) as the main parameter and DO, pH, temperature, and the smell of the water as a secondary parameter. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of microorganism in an effort to reduce pollutants fish washing waste the concentration of ammonia, nitrite and hydrogen sulfide.This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD  with addition of microorganisms 6 treatments included control (K = control, A = 0.01 ml, B = 0.1, C = 1 ml, D = 10 ml and E = 100 ml). The results obtained from this study showed that the concentrations of ammonia, nitrite, and hydrogen sulfide on treatment A, B, C, D, and E is lower than in the controls, suggesting that microorganism can reduce tongkol washery wash. The highest value of the effectiveness is treatment E as bioremediation of fish washery waste with percentage of ammonia 59.88%, 64.60% nitrite and 19.19% hydrogen sulfide.

Abstract

Kerang darah merupakan salah satu jenis kekerangan yang bernilai ekonomis penting.  Habitat kerang darah yang mengandung pestisida organoklorin dapat menurunkan nilai ekonomis kerang, dikarenakan pestisida organoklorin dapat terakumulasi dalam jaringan lunak kerang, sehingga tidak aman untuk dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan potensi biokonsentrasi pestisida organoklorin dalam jaringan lunak kerang darah ditilik dari faktor biokonsentrasi pestisida tersebut.  Penelitian dilakukan dengan memelihara kerang darah dalam sedimen yang mengandung pestisida pada beberapa akuarium. Sedimen diambil dari Muara Sungai Wakak-Plumbon, Jawa Tengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pestisida organoklorin mampu terakumulasi dalam jaringan lunak dengan faktor biokonsentrasi yang berbeda untuk masing-masing jenis pestisida organoklorin.  Faktor biokonsentrasi pestisida organoklorin tertinggi pada pestisida lindane.  Faktor biokonsentrasi pestisida terendah adalah aldrin. Blood clams are one type of clams which have important economic value. Habitat of blood clams mostly contain organochlorine pesticides which then reduce their economic value.  The organochlorine pesticides can accumulate in the blood clams soft tissue, making it unsafe to consume. This research was conducted to determine the accumulation potential of organochlorine pesticides in the soft tissue of blood clams from the bioconcentration factor of these pesticides. The study was conducted by maintaining blood shells in sediments containing pesticides in several aquariums. Sediments were taken from the Wakak-Plumbon River Estuary, Central Java. The results showed that organochlorine pesticides were able to accumulate in soft tissues with different bioconcentration factors for each type of organochlorine pesticide. The highest biochemical concentration of organochlorine pesticides is in lindane pesticides. The lowest bioconcentration factor of pesticides is Aldrin.

Abstract

 Ekosistem terumbu karang Karimunjawa menyediakan habitat yang baik bagi kehidupan dan perkembangbiakan teripang. Di sisi lain,  peningkatan beban limbah organik baik bersumber dari daratan maupun dari lingkungan perairan itu sendiri diduga menyebabkan daya dukung untuk kehidupan teripang menurun. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, bagaimana kondisi lingkungan perairan ditinjau dari kesesuaian lingkungan perairan habitat teripang. Pengukuran data kualitas air diambil pada 5 stasiun pengamatan. Data arus berdasarkan  data pasang surut terendah, yang diperoleh dari pengukuran data pasang surut  stasiun LPWP Jepara periode 2010-2011, pengukuran data variabel kedalaman perairan (m), suhu (°C), salinitas (‰), dan pH secara in situ, serta  pengukuran kandungan oksigen terlarut (mg/l)  secara laboratoris. Analisis data tingkat kesesuaian lingkungan  teripang didasarkan atas beberapa kriteria penting yang harus dipenuhi, yaitu kondisi lingkungan yang sesuai dengan standar kriteria kesesuaian, meliputi kisaran dibawah baku mutu dengan skor (1), kisaran toleransi dengan skor (2), dan kisaran optimal dengan skor 3. Selanjutnya dilakukan pembobotan setiap variabel dalam 3 kelas bobot yang diukur berdasarkan tingkat pengaruh masing-masing variable. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan total  skor (Y) dari 6 variabel kualitas  perairan.diperoleh jumlah skor tertinggi  54 dan terendah 6, sedangkan berdasarkan nilai interval kelas kesesusian  (I) sebesar 16.  Hasil analisis skor per  kelas adalah (a) 39–54 = Sesuai (S1),  (b)  23–38 = Cukup Sesuai (S2), dan (c) 6–22 = Tidak Sesuai (N). Hasil analisis diperoleh informasi bahwa kondisi lingkungan perairan cukup sesuai bagi kehidupan teripang.  The Karimunjawa waters reef ecosystem provides a good habitat for the life and breeding of sea cucumbers. On the other hand, the increased burden of organic waste both from the mainland and from the water environment itself is thought to cause the carrying capacity for the life of sea cucumbers declined. Based on this, then how the condition of the aquatic environment in terms of the suitability of the marine environment habitat sea cucumbers.  Measurement of water quality data was taken at 5 observation stations. Current data based on the lowest tidal data, obtained from the measurement of the tidal data of LPWP station Jepara period 2010-2011. Measurement of water depth variable (m), temperature (°C), salinity (‰), and pH in situ, and dissolved oxygen content (mg/l) in laboratory. The data analysis of the suitability level of sea cucumber is based on several important criteria that must be fulfilled, that is environmental condition in accordance with standard of conformity criterion, covering range below standard quality with score (1), tolerance range with score (2), and optimal range with score 3, Then weighted each variable in 3 weight classes measured by the influence level of each variable, Based on the result of total score calculation (Y) from 6 water quality variables. Based on the result of total score (Y) of 6 water quality variables. Obtained by the highest score 54 and lowest 6, whereas based on the value of interval of suitability class (I) of 16. The result of the score analysis per class is (a) 39–54 = Suitable (S1), (b) 23–38 = quite suitable  (S2), and (c) 6–22 = Not Match (N). The result of the analysis obtained information that the condition of the aquatic environment is quite suitable for the life of sea cucumber.

Abstract

Budidaya ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan industri budidaya yang cukup penting saat ini.  Ikan nila merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan perikanan budidaya.  Penerapan cleaner production dalam budidaya ikan dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan pencemaran lingkungan dari limbah budidaya ikan.  Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji pertumbuhan ikan nila (panjang dan berat) pada metode budidaya ikan cleaner production dengan mengaplikasikan enzim EZplus ke dalam pakan untuk menekan limbah padat dan cair yang dihasilkan ikan.  Peubah yang diamati meliputi laju pertambahan panjang harian ikan, laju pertumbuhan berat harian ikan nila atau Specific Growth Rate (SGR), dan rasio konversi pakan atau Food Conversion Ratio (FCR).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode budidaya cleaner production pada ikan nila mampu meningkatkan laju pertumbuhan panjang dan bobot ikan serta memperbaiki rasio konversi pakan dan memperbaiki mutu media pemeliharaan ikan. Nowadays the tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) culture is one of the important aquaculture industry.  Tilapia is one of the best commodity in fish culture.  Implementation of cleaner production in fish farming is carried out to overcome the problem of environmental pollution from fish farming waste.  This research was conducted to examine the growth of tilapia (length and weight) in the Cleaner Production cultivation method by applying the EZplus enzyme to the feed to suppress the solid and liquid waste produced by fish.  The variables observed included the daily growth rate of fish length, Specific Growth Rate (SGR), and feed conversion ratio (FCR).  The results showed that the application of the Cleaner Production cultivation method in tilapia was able to increase the daily growth rate of fish length and weight as well as improve feed conversion ratio and improve the quality of fish culture media.

Abstract

The accumulation of ammonia in shrimp pond is one major problem that leads to production failure. Ammonia can disturb the metabolic balance of the shrimps and making them more susceptible to disease. An approach to overcome a poor water quality in shrimp culture caused by ammonia is introduced bacteria as a bioremediation agent. The utilization and the development of the local bioremediation agent are expected to be a solution to improve water quality. This study aimed to isolate and identify bacteria from traditional shrimp pond as candidate to reduce ammonia. Bacteria were isolated in liquid enrichment medium. Bacteria identification was done through biochemical tests also molecular analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequence using primer 27F and 1492R and phylogenetic analysis using MEGA 6.0 program. The results showed that as many as three bacteria were isolated from traditional shrimp pond. These bacteria were NAS1, NAS2, and NAS3.  Based on the analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequence, NAS1 was identified as Breoghania sp., NAS2 identified as Pseudoalteromonas ruthenica, and NAS3 identified as Halomonas beimenensis. Ammonia reduction test showed that Halomonas beimenensis and Pseudoalteromonas ruthenica were able to reduce ammonia with a percentage of 8,4% and 20,3% for five days incubation. Therefore, these bacteria could be potential candidates as a bioremediation agent to improve water quality. Meanwhile, Breoghania sp. wasn’t show positive result in ammonia reduction test.

Abstract

Longtail is one of the most important economic species in Indonesia to purse seine and mini purse seine catch. This research activity aims to determine population parameter i.e. growth, mortality, and determine the management strategies for longtail tuna. The collecting of length and weight data was conducted at Pekalongan fishing port from October to December 2019. The sampling method used was a systematic random sampling method, with the collected data being the length and weight of the longtail tuna. The long weight r relationship was negative allometric and the b value was 2.7776. The asymptotic length rate (L∞) was 55 cm FL, growth rate (K) was 0,88/year and zero age (t0) was 0,1536 year. Natural mortality (M) is 1.41/year, fishing mortality (F) is 1.38/year, total mortality (Z) is 2.79/year. The level of exploitation (E) of 0.49 (underexploited), so that utilization can be increased.

Abstract

 Perkembangan industri dan aktivitas rumah tangga di sepanjang aliran Sungai Banjir Kanal Barat Semarang diduga memberikan pengaruh terhadap kualitas perairan berupa buangan limbah yang mengandung nutrien (nitrat dan ortofosfat). Kedua nutrien tersebut dalam konsentrasi yang tinggi dapat mengakibatkan pengkayaan unsur hara (eutrofikasi) dan memicu ledakan populasi fitoplankton (blooming fitoplankton). Kondisi blooming ini diperburuk dengan adanya beberapa spesies fitoplankton yang mengandung racun dalam tubuhnya yang dikenal sebagai Harmful Alga Blooms (HABs). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2015 – Januari 2016 di Muara Sungai Banjir Kanal Barat, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi nutrien (nitrat dan ortofosfat), jenis dan kelimpahan fitoplankton HABs, serta hubungan dan pengaruh antara konsentrasi nutrien (nitrat dan ortofosfat) terhadap kelimpahan fitoplankton HABs. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi nitrat di lokasi penelitian berada dalam kisaran 0,6-2,2 mg/l, sedangkan konsentrasi ortofosfat dalam kisaran 0,04-1,3 mg/l. Fitoplankton HABs yang teridentifikasi berjumlah 5 genera diantaranya Trichodesmium sp., Ceratium sp., Noctiluca sp., Pseudonitzschia sp. dan Gonyaulax sp.. Persentase fitoplankton HABs dari total kelimpahan fitoplankton yang teridentifikasi sebesar 40,89% di stasiun I, 20,10% di stasiun II dan 11,49% di stasiun III. Berdasarkan analisis regresi berganda, sebesar 44,2% nutrien nitrat dan ortofosfat mempengaruhi kelimpahan fitoplankton HABs dengan persentase pengaruh nitrat dan ortofosfat masing-masing sebesar 36,6% dan 7,6%.  Industrial and households activity along Banjir Kanal Barat river flow in Semarang allegedly give an impact to the water quality which form the sewage contain nutrients (nitrate and orthophosphate). Both of the nutrients, in high concentration can cause nutrient enrichment (eutrophication) and trigger phytoplankton overpopulation (phytoplankton bloom). Blooming in this condition can be worse because of several toxic phytoplankton, this phenomenon known as Harmful Alga Blooms (HABs). The research was conducted on December 2015 – January 2016 at Banjir Kanal Barat estuary which aimed to knowing the nutrient concentration (nitrate and orthophosphate), find out the abundance of HABs phytoplankton, analyzing the relation of nutrients (nitrate and orthophosphate), and relation between chemical-physics water parameters and the abundance of HABs phytoplankton. The method of this research was used survey by purposive sampling technique. The results of the research showed that nitrate concentrations were in the range of 0.6 to 2.2 mg/l, while orthophosphate concentrations were of 0.04 to 1,3 mg/l. There were 5 generas identified as Phytoplanktons HABs, including Trichodesmium sp., Ceratium sp., Noctiluca sp., Pseudonitzschia sp. and Gonyaulax sp. The phytoplankton HABs percentage from the total abundance of identified phytoplankton was diferent within sampling stations that was 40,89% at the station I, 20,10% at the station II and 11,49% at the station III. Both nitrate and ortophosphate concentration may affected HABs phytoplankton 44,2%  (corelatoin analysis), with the influence of nitrate and orthophosphate were 36,6% and 7,6%.

Abstract

Nila salin (Oreochromis niloticus) adalah ikan nila yang dibudidayakan pada perairan payau dengan memanfaatkan sifat euryhaline (dapat mentoleransi perubahan salinitas dengan rentang yang lebar). Ikan ini mampu tumbuh dan berkembangbiak pada salinitas 0 – 20 ppt dan masih dapat hidup pada salinitas 35 ppt. Keunggulan ikan nila adalah pertumbuhan cepat, mudah berkembangbiak, dan mudah beradaptasi dengan lingkungan. Pembudidaya ikan di Kecamatan Tayu Kabupaten Pati mulai mencoba budidaya nila salin karena kegagalan dalam budidaya udang. Lahan yang digunakan untuk budidaya nila salin di Kecamatan Tayu pada tahun 2015 seluas 2 Ha dan meningkat menjadi 582 Ha pada tahun 2018. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian lahan budidaya nila salin di Pertambakan Kecamatan Tayu. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Analisis kesesuaian lahan dilakukan dengan metode matcing untuk mendapatkan kelas kesesuaian lahan. Hasil analisis kesesuaian lahan tambak ikan nila di lokasi penelitian digolongkan pada tingkat kesesuaian kelas S3 (sesuai marginal) dengan nilai rata-rata 72,6 %. Faktor pembatas yang perlu menjadi perhatian serius adalah fluktuasi Oksigen terlarut, potensial redoks dan TSS. Saline tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is a tilapia fish that is cultivated in brackish waters by utilizing its euryhaline properties (it can tolerate a wide range of changes in salinity). This fish is able to grow and reproduce at a salinity of 0 – 20 ppt and can still live at a salinity of 35 ppt.. The advantages of tilapia are fast growth, easy to breed, and easy to adapt to the environment. Fish cultivators in Tayu District, Pati Regency, started trying saline tilapia cultivation due to failures in shrimp cultivation. The land used for saline tilapia cultivation in Tayu District in 2015 was 2 hectares and increased to 582 hectares in 2018. This study aims to analyze the suitability of saline tilapia cultivation land in Tambakan, Tayu District. The method used is a case study survey method. Land suitability analysis was carried out using the matching method to obtain land suitability classes. The results of the suitability analysis of tilapia ponds in the research location were classified at the level of suitability for S3 class (marginally appropriate) with an average value of 72.6%. Limiting factors that need serious attention are fluctuations in dissolved oxygen, redox potential and TSS.

Abstract

 Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkaji mutu sedimen habitat kerang darah (Anadara granosa L) berdasarkan preferensi reburial. Uji dilakukan terhadap sedimen yang berasal dari Estuari Wakak-Plumbon di Kabupaten Kendal dan sedimen dari Pulau Panjang, Kabupaten Jepara, Jawa Tengah.Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kerang darah yang dipapar dalam sedimen dari estuari Wakak-Plumbon dan Pulau Panjang tidak menunjukkan kegagalan dalam upaya membenamkan diri (reburial failured) setelah dipapar selama 48 jam. Perbedaan hanya terjadi dalam waktu adaptasi sebelum membenamkan diri. Kerang darah umumnya membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama untuk adaptasi sebelum membenamkan diri pada sedimen yang berasal dari Estuari Wakak-Plumbon dibanding dari Pulau Panjang. This research conducted to determine quality of sediment for habitat of blood cockle based on reburial reference. Test done to sediment from Wakak-Plumbon estuary on Kabupaten Kendal and from Panjang Island, Kabupaten Jepara, Central Java. The results showed that blood cockle exposed to sediment from two location are not different in reburial failured, but different in time needed for adaptation before reburial. Anadara granosa needed more time to adapted, before reburial in Wakak-Plumbon sediment.
