Abstract

The Implementation of the Divine Values in Shaping the Character of Pancasila Students at Junior High School. This study aims to investigate the implementation of the value of the Almighty God in shaping the character of Pancasila students at Diponegoro Junior High School in Tumpang. In the context of Indonesia, Pancasila serves not only as the philosophical foundation of the state but also as a framework in education for shaping the character of the younger generation. However, despite Pancasila being formally integrated into the curriculum, the implementation of religious values, including the value of the Almighty God, often encounters challenges in practice. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate variations in the implementation of religious values among the schools under study, with challenges primarily related to teachers' understanding and commitment, as well as resource availability. Nonetheless, the study also identifies positive efforts made by some schools to address these challenges. Overall, the research emphasizes the importance of teachers' role, collaboration between schools and religious communities, and the development of value-oriented learning approaches to enhance the formation of students' character based on religious values in Indonesia. Abstract

This research employs a library research approach to explore the perspective of Islamic education management in implementing character education through religious activities in society. By reviewing relevant literature, this study analyzes strategies, the role of religious figures, and challenges in implementing character education with a focus on the Islamic context. Findings indicate that the application of character education in religious activities requires good coordination between formal and informal educational institutions, as well as active support from religious figures in conveying character values. However, challenges such as cultural resistance and resource limitations also affect the effectiveness of implementation. Through the library research approach, this study provides in-depth insights into efforts to implement character education in the context of religious activities in society and highlights directions for further research to strengthen and broaden understanding in this field. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the policy and implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) in urban and rural schools in Indonesia, as well as examine stakeholder perceptions and their impact on student participation in the learning process. As a strategic public policy intervention, the MBG program addresses critical micronutrient deficiencies and unequal access to nutritious food, which significantly correlate with cognitive ability, learning concentration, and academic achievement. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research collected primary and secondary data through in-depth semi-structured interviews, field observations, and comprehensive documentation studies. The comparative research setting encompasses schools in rural and urban areas to facilitate a holistic analysis of policy implementation dynamics. The findings reveal that although the MBG policy is designed nationally to uniformly improve nutritional status and learning quality, its localized implementation is highly contextual. Rural schools, constrained by infrastructure and long distribution distances, require flexible adaptations and strong community reliance. Conversely, urban schools operate with more structured distribution systems and adequate infrastructure, yet face distinct challenges such as parental concerns regarding food safety. Overall, the MBG program garnered positive perceptions from students, parents, and teachers, demonstrably contributing to elevated learning motivation and increased student participation. This study recommends an adaptive, context-sensitive, and sustainable MBG policy framework to maximize program effectiveness and ensure equitable benefit distribution across diverse regional landscapes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) the pre-test mean score for anecdotal text writing skills; 2) the post-test mean score for anecdotal text writing skills; and 3) the effectiveness of the Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPCK) approach using Canva media in improving learning outcomes regarding anecdotal text writing skills—specifically transitioning from linear narrative to multimodal literacy. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method via a quasi-experimental design (specifically, a one-group pre-test-post-test design) conducted during the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year with Grade X students at SMK Vancanitty. The study population consisted of 26 Grade X students who participated in the pre-test, the instruction on anecdotal text writing skills (transitioning from linear narrative to multimodal literacy) using the TPCK approach with Canva media, and the post-test. A sample of 25 students was determined using a statistical formula and selected via simple random sampling without replacement. Data on learning outcomes regarding anecdotal text writing skills (transitioning from linear narrative to multimodal literacy) were collected using a test instrument. Pre-test and post-test data were analyzed using inferential statistics (specifically, a one-sample t-test), while data regarding the effectiveness of the approach and learning media were analyzed using a paired-sample t-test. The research results indicate: 1) the pre-test mean score for anecdotal text writing skills fell into the low category; 2) the post-test mean score for anecdotal text writing skills fell into the low category; and 3) the use of the TPCK approach via Canva media proved effective in improving learning outcomes for anecdotal text writing skills (transitioning from linear narrative to multimodal literacy), as the t-test yielded a significance value of 0.00 (p < 0.01).

Abstract

The research problem in this study is the low motivation to learn and the low cognitive learning outcomes of students in Islamic Religious Education at Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Pasundan 1 and Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Bunga Persada Cianjur. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of Google Classroom, YouTube, and Quizizz and their effects on students’ motivation to learn and cognitive learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education. The methodology is a mixed-methods research design using a sequential explanatory approach, involving questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation to examine both quantitative and qualitative data. The results show that the implementation of multimedia is categorized as good (83%), while students’ learning motivation reaches 86% and cognitive learning outcomes reach 86.5%, both categorized as very good. Statistical analysis indicates that the use of multimedia has a positive and significant effect on both learning motivation and cognitive learning outcomes. Qualitative findings also support these results, showing that Google Classroom facilitates learning management, YouTube enhances conceptual understanding through visualization, and Quizizz increases student engagement through interactive and enjoyable evaluation activities. In conclusion, the use of Google Classroom, YouTube, and Quizizz is effective in improving students’ motivation and cognitive learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to the development of technology-based Islamic education that is more interactive, effective, and capable of improving overall learning quality.

Abstract

Contemporary character education in Islamic schools faces a persistent gap between normative ideals and operational practice, where religious routines are frequently treated as monolithic rituals rather than systematically engineered pedagogical mechanisms. Existing studies on religious habituation predominantly remain descriptive, conflate diverse worship activities into a single variable, and rarely articulate the psychological mechanisms underlying value internalization. This study formulates a conceptual model of character value cultivation grounded in daily religious habituation at SMPIT Wasilah Intelegensia, integrating Aristotelian virtue ethics, classical behaviorism, and Bandura's social-cognitive theory to map the differential contributions of three congregational prayers (Dhuha, Dzuhur, Ashar) to three target character domains (obedience, responsibility, honesty). A convergent mixed-methods design with qualitative dominance (qual-quan) was employed over two months, combining semi-structured interviews with key informants, four weeks of participatory observation, and a 24-item four-point Likert questionnaire administered to 40 purposively selected students. Source, method, and theoretical triangulation safeguarded validity, complemented by member checking and audit trail procedures. The model achieved an overall mean of 3.496 (87.40%, Very High category), with remarkably narrow inter-aspect dispersion (0.028 points), indicating complementary rather than competitive contributions: Dhuha–obedience (3.509), Dzuhur–responsibility (3.481), and Ashar–honesty (3.497). Items measuring externally-cued behaviors consistently outscored those requiring autonomous self-regulation, exposing a transitional threshold between behavioral compliance and internalized disposition. Religious habituation operates as a systemic hidden curriculum requiring seven interlocking components, yet its full maturation toward authentic character demands phronesis-oriented reflection and school–family congruence beyond mere ritual repetition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms and causes of the moral crisis facing the younger generation in the digital era, evaluate existing strategies, and formulate an integrative solution model. This research uses qualitative, descriptive, and analytical methods through in-depth interviews, passive participant observation, and documentation studies using the Miles and Huberman data analysis model. The results indicate that moral degradation has mutated into the virtual space in the form of relational cybercrime, digital academic anomie, and hedonistic behavior due to algorithm manipulation and dysfunctional social control within families and schools. Character education holds a dual, urgent position as both a preventive and curative instrument. This study recommends a radical reconstruction of character-building methods through the implementation of the Digital Agential Morality (DAM) model, which organically synergizes the roles of schools, families, and communities based on digital ethical literacy.
