This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Group Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy approach in reducing learning burnout experienced by students due to irrational thoughts. This research is a quantitative analysis that uses the method of Quasi-Experiment through the design of The Non-Equivalent Control Group. The subjects in this study were class VIII-1 students as the experimental group and class VIII-8 students as the control group. The instrument used is a learning burnout scale with the validity of 0.273 (Pearson Product Moment) and reliability of 0.936 (Alpha Cronbach). Data analysis was conducted using nonparametric statistics with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov 2 Independent Samples. The results of this study show that the REBT approach in a group setting is effective for reducing student learning burnout. This can be seen from the score of student learning burnout in the experimental group, which experienced a greater and more significant decline than the control group.

Children who live in violent environments have aggressive tendencies as a result of the interaction process. Aggressive behavior of children is influenced by several factors such as improper care, stress, low self-esteem, bad relationships and the display of violence in the mass media. This research aims at examining the contribution of self-esteem and parenting to the aggressive behavior of child victims of domestic violence. The research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive and correlation type. The research respondents were the students of SMA Negeri Padang who were identified as 73 victims of domestic violence victims, selected by using a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using the CFSEI-2 inventory for self-esteem and Likert model scale for aggressive behavior with a reliability level of 0.899 and 0.915 for parenting. The data processing used a multiple regression analysis technique with the help of SPSS for Windows Release 20. The findings of this research indicated that self-esteem and parenting together contributed to the aggressive behavior of child victims of domestic violence by 41.7%.

One of the purposes of vocational school (SMK) is as an education facility to prepare alumni who are ready to enter work field, but in contrary the highest number of unemployed in West Sumatra is dominated by SMK alumni. This research aims to describe the contribution of adversity quotient, self awareness and demographic factors to student career maturity. The study was conducted using quantitative descriptive methods. The research population were students of class XII at SMKN6 Padang as many as 392 students and a sample of research were 198 students. The technique used in this research waspurposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a adversity quotient, self awareness and career maturity scale was using Likert model, and the research data was analyzed using simple regression and multiple regression with dummy variables. The research findings prove that: (1) adversity quotient has an effective contribution of 23% to student career maturity, (2) self awareness contributing as much as 37.9% to career maturity, (3) gender does not contribute to career maturity,(4) socioeconomic status contributes 4.9% to student career maturity, and (6) there were 47.8% of contributions together with adversity quotient, self awareness, gender and socioeconomic status on students' career maturity. This result show that student’s career maturity was not influenced by one variable only but adversity quotient, self awareness and demographic factor all together contribute in forming student’s career maturity. Therefore, increase in career maturity as an attempt to prepare students prior to entering work field could be done by optimizing adversity quotient level and self awareness while also considering demographic factor of each students.

Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengembangan modul konseling kreatif dalam bingkai modifikasi kognitif perilaku sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi perilaku agresif siswa SMP. Penelitian ini meggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan pendekatan survey dan eksperimen dan penelitian kualitatif digunakan untuk mengungkapkan praktikalitas, efektifitas modul konseling kreatif dalam bingkai modifikasi kognitif perilaku untuk menurunkan perilaku agresif siswa SMP. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu; (1) menghimpun data berkaitan dengan perilaku agresif dengan menggunakan angket Perilaku Agresif dan informasi pelaksanaan konseling kreatif dalam bingkai modifikasi kognitif perilaku. Setelah itu dirumuskan modul konseling kreatif dalam bingkai modifikasi kognitif perilaku untuk siswa yang mengalami perilaku agresif . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) modul konseling kreatif dalam bingkai modifikasi kognitif perilaku dinilai layak dimanfaatkan guru BK/Konselor untuk menurunkan perilaku agresif siswa SMP, (2) tingkat keterpakaian modul konseling kreatif dalam bingkai modifikasi kognitif perilaku dinilai sangat baik untuk digunakan dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Dengan demikian prototype modul konseling kreatif dalam bingkai modifikasi kognitif perilaku yang dihasilkan dinyatakan layak dan dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru BK/Konselor untuk membantu menurunkan perilaku agresif siswa SMP.

Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis terapi transaksional dalam seting kelompok. Analisis transaksional pada mulanya direncanakan sebagai suatu bentuk treatment kelompok dan prosedur-prosedur terapeutik yang memberikan hasil dalam setting kelompok. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan, yaitu serangkaian penelitian yang berkaitan dengan metode pengumpulan data perpustakaan, atau penelitian yang objek penelitiannya dieksplorasi melalui berbagai informasi perpustakaan (buku atau jurnal ilmiah) yang membahas tentang analisis transaksional dalam seting kelompok. Konsep dan teknik Analisis transaksional efektif diterapkan dalam sesi konseling kelompok. Analisis transaksional menyediakan pendekatan terstruktur yang memungkinkan anak-anak dan remaja untuk melihat hubungan antara apa yang mereka pelajari dalam keluarga mereka dan sikap mereka terhadap orang lain._________________________________________________________Transactional analysis is transactional psychotherapy that can be used in individual counseling, but is more suitable for use in group counseling (E. M. Berne, 1975). The purpose of this study was to analyze transactional therapy in group settings. Transactional analysis was originally planned as a form of group treatment and therapeutic procedures that gave results in group settings. This type of research is library research, which is a series of studies related to library data collection methods, or research whose object of research is explored through various library information (books or scientific journals) that discuss transactional analysis in group settings. Concepts and techniques of transactional analysis are effectively applied in group counseling sessions. Transactional analysis provides a structured approach that allows children and adolescents to see the relationship between what they learn in their families and their attitudes toward others

Students have a variety of potentials that need to be explored and developed. The process of self-development is a necessity, which the school is an institution that is given the task of these efforts through counselors. However, various obstacles actually arise in the process throughout the range of student development. This is a tough challenge for counselors in alleviating developmental problems and optimizing the abilities and potential of students through counseling services, one of which is group counseling. The Adlerian approach is one approach in group counseling that is popular in practice. In this article, we will discuss the analysis of the contribution of values contained in the Adlerian approach that is implemented in group counseling services in order to optimize students' self-potential.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan rational emotive behavior threapy dalam mengatasi perilaku bullying siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang perilaku bullying sebanyak 20 orang. 10 orang untuk pelaksanaan kelompok eksperimen dan 10 orang untuk pelaksanaan kelompok kontrol. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan skala perilaku bullying siswa yang telah memenuhi syarat instrumen penelitian, kemudian data di analisis dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dan Uji Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Samples. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan perilaku bullying peserta didik kelompok eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pendekatan rational emotive behavior therapy format kelompok. 2) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan perilaku bullying peserta didik kelompok kontrol sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti layanan bimbingan kelompok tanpa menggunakan pendekatan rational emotive behavior therapy. 3) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan perilaku bullying peserta didik kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan pendekatan rational emotive behavior therapy format kelompok dengan peserta didik kelompok kontrol yang diberikan layanan konseling kelompok tanpa pendekatan rational emotive behavior therapy. kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol sama-sama mengalami penurunan, akan tetapi rata-rata penurunan kelompok eksperimen lebih besar pada kelompok kontrol.

This research is motivated by the high level of academic stress students have. by showing the behavior of avoiding lessons, such as often leaving class when school hours, skipping lessons, not doing school work, ignoring school assignments. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the cognitive behavioral modification counseling approach (KMKP) in reducing students' academic stress. The method used was quantitative with the Quasi experimental research design. The design form used was the pretest-posttest control group design. Data analysis using non-parametric statistics, namely Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed an effective behavioral modification counseling approach to reduce students' academic stress. This is evidenced because the behavioral cognitive modification counseling approach places great emphasis on changing the internal dialogue of the counselee.

Basic counseling skills are skills that counselors have in capturing or responding to statements and communicating them again in carrying out individual counseling services. Students must be able to apply and master basic counseling skills because it can more or less guarantee the continuity of a counseling process to achieve counseling goals. The purpose of this study was to find out how students' efforts to develop counseling skills, the scope of this study was BK students of Padang State University in 2017, was in the fifth semester totaling 155 students, with the consideration that they were conducting BK labor counseling engineering classes, which developed counseling skills. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Summary of the results of the results in this study are counseling skills that are done by students doing peer counseling, to be able to develop their skills and conduct counseling analysis by analyzing video counseling between counselor and client in conducting counseling so that they are able to do counseling professionally

Islamic boarding school is a place where students learn the knowledge of Islamic religion, Islamic boarding school has a characteristic with the term mondok or can be known as living in a dormitory. Santri from different regions have diverse cultures, make santri as a pluralistic society, respect pluralism and enable diversity to remain sustainable, with other meanings communities accepting integration as a common way to deal with cultural diversity, but still displaying their identity . This research aims to find out how multicultural counseling services in the Nurul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School which have students from outside the area, bring their respective cultures, so that they have cultural differences between BK teachers and students. Where multicultural counseling is a helping process that emphasizes the balance between the theory and practice of counseling in accepting and valuing kultutal santri or clients. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research methods. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the multi-cultural counseling service at Nurul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School is still not well implemented, because the BK teacher is not from a BK background, so the BK teacher does not understand the existing counseling techniques, especially the problem of multi-cultural clients, teachers BK does not understand the client culture and the client culture is more similar, while clients come from a variety of areas that must be understood by BK teachers, and students' problems often originate from different cultures. The BK teacher should understand the client's culture so that it is easier to know what causes the client's problem and the client can find a solution to the problem. So as to be able to carry out multi-cultural counseling in a professional manner so that clients are able to understand themselves and alleviate the problems they face so that from KES-T (disrupted effective day-to-day life) to KES (daily effective life).
