Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of probiotics of lactic acid bacteria in drinking water on feed consumption, weight gain and feed conversion ratio of broiler chickens. This research is an experimental research. The experimental animals used in this study were 28 male broiler chickens strain Cobb 700 aged 20 days. P0 was not given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria, P1 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus in 1ml/liter drinking water, P2 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus casei in drinking water 1ml/liter, P3 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus fermentum in drinking water 1ml/liter, P4 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus plantarum in drinking water 1ml/liter, P5 was given the addition of probiotic lactic acid bacteria Pediococcus in drinking water 1ml/liter, P6 was given the addition of probiotic mix lactic acid bacteria in drinking water 1ml /liter. Collecting data for the last 1 week by weighing the remaining consumption of feed given and weight gain of broiler chickens. The data obtained were analyzed using the Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) statistical method and continued with Duncan. Based on the results of the calculation of the amount of feed consumption and weight gain in broiler chickens, it showed that the administration of probiotic lactic acid bacteria 1ml/liter of water in broiler chickens could increase body weight gain, reduce feed conversion rates but did not reduce broiler feed consumption (p<0.05).

Abstract

The aim of this research was to know whether beetroot (Beta Vulgaris) extract could protect spermatogenesis by maintaining spermatogenic and sertoli cell count  in rats (Rattus novergicus) induced with CCl4. Rats were given beetroot extract daily, for 14 days and 3ml/kg BW CCl4 intraperitoneally one hour after last treatment. This study used twenty rats which were devided equally into 5 groups. K(-), the negative control group was not induced with CCL4 and only given 1% CMC-Na suspension. K(+), the positive control group was induced with CCl­4 and given 1% CMC-Na suspension. P1, P2 and P3 were given beet root extract with doses of 200, 400, and 800 mg/kg BW daily before feeding. All of the beetroot treatment were given orally (2 ml). After 24 hours CCl4 induction, rats were sacrificed and testis were collected to make histology slides. The observations showed significantly different (p<0,05) in all of variables. Result showed significant differences in spermatogenic and sertoli cells between K(-) and K(+) groups, K(+) with P2 and P3 group, and showed insignificant difference between P2 and P3 group in spermatogenic and sertoli cells. The result of this research showed that beetroot extract could protect the spermatogenic and sertoli cells in male rats induced with CCl4.

Abstract

The urgency of implementing the One Health approach to overcome zoonotic diseases cannot be overstated. By recognizing the interconnectedness of human health, animal health, and the environment, we can effectively prevent and respond to emerging infectious disease threats. This correspondence provides information on the importance of generating research on zoonotic diseases, especially in Indonesia, where research is still relatively scarce. The Indonesian government has taken steps to implement the One Health by establishing the One Health Coordinating Unit and the National Zoonosis Committee; however, implementation has not been optimal. The urgency and challenges are focused on critical implementation aspects in the community. The urgency of implementing One Health includes that Indonesia has experienced several outbreaks of zoonotic diseases, high environmental degradation, and the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) issue in Indonesia has increased. The challenges faced in implementing One Health are overcoming fragmentation due to incohesive communication between important sectors, securing funding and resource investment, aligning policies to eliminate regulation barriers, capacity building to increase awareness and professionals, and addressing critical socioeconomic factors. By prioritizing implementing the One Health approach and addressing existing challenges, Indonesia can build a more resilient and integrated system to protect the well-being of all species, protect ecosystems, and prevent the devastating effects of zoonotic diseases on global health. In this review, we present the urgency of One Health implementation and its challenges comprehensively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Return On Assets and Debt to Equity Ratio on Stock Return at PT Mayora Indah Tbk for the 2012-2022 period both partially and simultaneously. This type of research is associative research to determine the relationship between two or more variables. The methods used are quantitative methods by conducting descriptive statistical testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, correlation coefficient tests, hypothesis tests and determination coefficient tests. The results of the t test (Partial) show that Return On Assets has an insignificant effect on stock returns with a significance of 0.051 > 0.05 and a calculated t value of 2.289 < t table 2.306. The results of the partial t debt to equity ratio test have a significant effect on Stock Return with a significant value of 0.021 < 0.05 and t count 2.866 > t table 2.306. The results of Test F simultaneously return on assets and debt to equity ratio to stock return with a significant value of 0.034 < 0.05 and F value calculated 5.339 > F table 4.26. The results of the determination test showed that the variable return on assets and debt to equity ratio affected the variable stock return by 46.2%.

Abstract

The distribution of the white swift (Collocalia fuciphaga) is on several large islands in Indonesia. The white swallow has an advantage over the nests of the black swallow and sriti, having edible parts reaching 85-100% of the total nest. Many types of white swallow's nests in Indonesia are known for their different physical characteristics, color and weight. It is not known that these differences occur due to genetic differences or simply due to differences in the type of food and living environment. Differences due to food and environmental factors do not really affect the health function of the nest. Differences due to genetics greatly influence the function of the nest for health. The design of this system is initial research to start mapping white nest swiftlets in Indonesia. The results of the design will be used as a data storage system for genetic mapping of white nest swallows on the island of Java by taking DNA samples of swallows from various habitat areas. The system will store data on habitat areas, record location points and take bird samples from these areas to then carry out laboratory tests to determine the DNA code test of each bird sample. Furthermore, it is hoped that clear genetic mapping results can be used to determine the quality and function of the bioactive components of white swift nests on the island of Java. The mapping results will also be a source of knowledge about the richness of the germplasm of native Indonesian swiftlets. Keywords: GIS, Bioactive, genetic, Java, mapping, white swallow's nest

Abstract

Raw material inventory management control system is important in planning production needs. This study discusses the comparison between raw material inventory control using the EOQ method with company policies. Inventory control will incur costs including ordering costs, purchasing costs, maintenance costs, and storage costs. This study aims to analyze the optimal amount of peanut sugar raw material needed by Wardah Home Industry per 2019 period, the total cost of peanut sugar raw material inventory that must be incurred by Wardah Home Industry, the right time to reorder peanut sugar raw materials, large the ideal stock security that Wardah Home Industry must provide for the 2019 period. This research was conducted using descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The results show that the calculation using the EOQ method can help save the company's costs compared to the policies carried out by the company. Calculations carried out include calculating the frequency of purchasing raw materials, quantity of safety stock (safety stock), reorder time (reorder point), and calculation of total inventory cost (total inventory cost).

Abstract

Medical compliance is a key aspect in the management of multiple-modalities therapies, such as those found in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus. Aspects such as healthcare accessibility, complications or secondary ailments, lifestyle, socioeconomic status, and academic status can affect a patient's compliance, thus their therapeutic outcomes. The Covid-19 pandemic brought various observable shifts toward these aspects which raises the need for further evaluation regarding type-2 diabetes mellitus therapy compliance during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study is a systematic review that uses secondary data gathered from articles published in Pubmed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar with publication dates ranging from January 2018 until October 2021. Using the PRISMA algorithm and JBI critical appraisal questionnaire, we selected 10 controlled studies that discussed therapy compliance of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus patients before the Covid-19 pandemic and 7 studies that discussed therapy compliance of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus during the Covid-19 pandemic. There was a notable difference between the therapy compliance profile of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus patients before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Pharmacotherapy compliance during the Covid-19 pandemic showed a moderate-high trend whereas the trend before the Covid-19 pandemic was moderate-low. Compliance of physical activity and diet modification related to Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus respectively showed a moderate-high and moderate-low trend during the Covid-19 pandemic, whereas the trend before Covid-19 pandemic was low. A notable shift was found between the therapy compliance profile of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus patients  before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Further meta-analysis study is required to measure the significance of this shift as well as their correlations. Additional studies are also required to isolate the factors that may contribute to this shift.

Abstract

Counseling on the use and manufacture of liquid organic fertilizers from local raw materials is a community service activity conducted by University lecturer Maj. Gen. Sungkono, especially at the Faculty of Agriculture in Tinggar Hamlet, Tinggarbuntut Village, Bangsal district, Mojokerto Regency. The goal is to improve pet owners ' understanding of organic pet food as a last resort to ensure that the relatively low prices and prevalence of fertilizer stocks in the village make pet owners the majority. The method used is an experimental method. As a result, workers are able to produce goods using local materials and maximize the amount of daily labor available so that they are eager to master new skills or knowledge, such as practical skills, in rice fields and village halls.

Abstract

Sigalovada Sutta, sebuah ajaran Buddha yang terdapat dalam Digha Nikaya, memberikan panduan etika dan tanggung jawab dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Artikel ini membahas peran Sigalovada Sutta dalam pendidikan karakter, terutama pada remaja. Ajaran ini menyoroti nilai-nilai fundamental seperti tanggung jawab keluarga, kesetiaan dalam pernikahan, pemilihan teman dengan bijaksana, dan keseimbangan dalam hidup. Pendidikan karakter berbasis Sigalovada Sutta membantu remaja memahami dan menginternalisasi prinsip-prinsip etika, membimbing mereka dalam membangun hubungan yang sehat, dan merangsang pencarian nilai-nilai spiritual. Dengan menekankan kejujuran, kemurahan hati, dan pencarian kebenaran, Sigalovada Sutta membentuk dasar untuk membimbing remaja dalam membentuk karakter yang kuat, etis, dan berdaya. Artikel ini merinci nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam Sigalovada Sutta dan mendiskusikan implikasinya dalam membentuk pribadi yang seimbang dan bermakna bagi generasi muda.
