Abstract

Students who are victims of cyberbullying have problems with low self-esteem, feeling sad, angry, experiencing anxiety disorders, feeling lonely, lacking social adjustment and withdrawing from social interactions. This is because the victim receives bad messages and treatment from other people continuously which sometimes makes him feel useless. As a result, students become lazy about going to school and their academic achievement becomes lower. This research aims to analyze the condition of self-esteem of cyberbullying victims and produce a product in the form of a digital module using the SFBC approach to increase the self-esteem of cyberbullying victims which is valid and can be used by guidance and counseling teachers and counselors. This research is development research using a 4-D model. This research involved 35 vocational school students who were victims of cyberbullying for needs analysis. The research trial subjects consisted of 3 experts to test the suitability of the content and appearance of the digital module, 3 guidance counselors/counselors to test the usability. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and non-parametric analysis. The research results show that students who are victims of cyberbullying have very low self-esteem. The digital module with the SFBC approach to increase the self-esteem of cyberbullying victims is considered very feasible. The practicality test results of the digital module are in the very good category. It was concluded that the digital module prepared was very suitable for implementation or use by guidance and counseling teachers and counselors. The implication of this research is that the digital module developed will help guidance and counseling teachers and counselors in providing services to victims of cyberbullying. Keywords: Digital Module, SFBC, Self Esteem, Cyberbullying

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine FoMO (Fear of Missing Out) behavior based on levels of self-esteem and self-concept among university students. This research is correlational, employing multiple regression analysis. The sample consists of 313 first-year students from the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Padang. The findings indicate that self-esteem among students is in the low category, with a total percentage of 47.4%. Similarly, self-concept is also in the low category, with a total percentage of 45.2%. On the other hand, FoMO among students is in the high category, with a total percentage of 69%. There is a negative and significant relationship between self-esteem and FoMO, as well as between self-concept and FoMO. Additionally, there is a simultaneous relationship between self-esteem, self-concept, and FoMO. The implications of the study suggest that the university needs to design guidance and counseling programs focused on enhancing students' self-esteem and self-concept to prevent the emergence of FoMO

Adolescent behavior is influenced by the environment namely the educational environment and peers. School is a context that is important for moral development. School well-being is important to know because it can be used as an evaluation tool for students' welfare in life at school. Students who are not prosperous towards their school can influence students to behave aggressively, namely the desire to intentionally attack or hurt others. This research is to examine the relationship between school well-being and aggressiveness in high school students in Padang City. This study uses cluster random sampling, for class XI students accredited A Private and State High School. Data collection uses two questionnaires namely Questionnaire School well-being (28 items) and the Questionnaire for Aggressiveness (26 items). The results of the analysis using simple regression analysis show a negative correlation between school well-being and aggressiveness (rxy = -0.2). The higher the school well-being, the lower the aggressiveness, and vice versa.Kata kunci: school well-being, aggressiveness.

Abstract

The counseling relationship is a key element in an effective counseling process. This relationship is characterized by trust, empathy, and open communication between the counselor and the client. However, in practice, there are various barriers that can interfere with the realization of an optimal counseling relationship. This study aims to identify the main barriers in building a counseling relationship and explore strategies to overcome them. The identified barriers include internal client factors, such as distrust, fear of stigma, and difficulty in expressing emotions; and external factors, such as lack of counselor competence, cultural differences, and an unsupportive counseling environment. In addition, interpersonal dynamics such as perceptual bias and value conflicts can also affect the quality of the counseling relationship. The results of the study indicate that an empathy-based approach, effective communication, and cultural awareness can help reduce these barriers. This abstract provides insights for counselors to improve the effectiveness of counseling practice by strengthening inclusive and supportive counseling relationships

Abstract

This research aims to explore the scientific foundation of counseling guidance from the perspective of the philosophy of science, focusing on three main aspects: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. In the ontology study, this research analyzes the nature and existence of entities that are the objects of counseling guidance, such as individuals, psychological issues, and the process of behavioral change. Epistemology in counseling guidance examines how knowledge about counseling is acquired, validated, and applied, encompassing the scientific approaches, theories, and practices used by counselors. The axiological aspect examines the ethical values and objectives underlying the practice of counseling guidance, including the role of moral values, professional ethics, and the social impact of counseling. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis as the main method. The results indicate that the scientific foundation of counseling guidance is greatly influenced by an ontological understanding of humans as complex and dynamic beings, an interdisciplinary epistemological approach, and an axiological commitment to individual and community well-being
