Abstract

Abstract The issue of stunting among children in Gampong Alue Pineung Timue is caused by inadequate nutrition intake over a prolonged period. This problem is of serious concern due to its impact on children's growth and development. The aim of this paper is to implement a stunting prevention policy with a public value approach as its foundation. The methods include workshops and educational mentoring for the community, particularly for stunting cadres in Gampong Alue Pineung Timue. These activities aim to enhance community understanding of factors contributing to stunting, such as political economy, health, sanitation, and environment. The results of this policy implementation demonstrate strong commitment from the Government of Gampong Alue Pineung Timue through Presidential Regulation No. 72 of 2021, encompassing various nutrition and health interventions. In conclusion, addressing stunting requires collective commitment and sustainable policy implementation from multiple stakeholders. Thus, the community in Gampong Alue Pineung Timue is expected to experience improved welfare and optimal child development through integrated and sustainable stunting prevention efforts. The implications of this research underscore the need for synergy between government and community in tackling stunting. Through comprehensive approaches like nutritional education, access to clean water, and adequate sanitation, it is expected to significantly reduce stunting prevalence in Gampong Alue Pineung Timue. Globally, these efforts also contribute to achieving global nutrition targets aimed at reducing the number of stunted children. Abstract

  Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru PAUD dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran seni tari yang menyenangkan dan kontekstual, melalui pemanfaatan Buku Panduan Pembelajaran Tari pada Anak Usia Dini. Buku panduan ini disusun berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdahulu, telah melalui proses validasi oleh para pakar, dan memperoleh sertifikat Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI). Kegiatan dilaksanakan di wilayah Pulau Panggang, Kepulauan Seribu, dengan melibatkan 18 guru PAUD dari Pulau Panggang dan Pulau Pramuka. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan interaktif, praktik langsung eksplorasi gerak, diskusi reflektif, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebesar rata-rata 35% serta terbentuknya produk kreasi tari berbasis pengalaman dan nilai-nilai lokal. Buku panduan diberikan dalam bentuk cetak dan soft file yang dapat diakses melalui barcode. Kegiatan ini berhasil menjawab kebutuhan guru akan model pembelajaran seni yang aplikatif, kreatif, dan mudah diterapkan di kelas PAUD. Penguatan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat dilanjutkan secara berkelanjutan guna mendukung pengembangan pendidikan seni yang kontekstual dan progresif di wilayah kepulauan. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran tari pendidikan: pendidikan seni: buku panduan tari pendidikan Abstract This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in implementing fun and contextual dance learning through the use of the Dance Learning Guidebook Based on Play. The guidebook was developed based on previous research, has been validated by experts, and has received Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) certification. The activity was carried out in Pulau Panggang, Kepulauan Seribu, involving 18 PAUD teachers from Pulau Panggang and Pulau Pramuka. The implementation methods included socialization, interactive training, hands-on movement exploration practice, reflective discussions, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed an average increase in participants' understanding by 35%, along with the creation of dance products based on experience and local values. The guidebook was distributed in printed and digital formats, accessible via barcode scanning. This activity successfully addressed the teachers' need for an applicable, creative, and easy-to-implement art learning model in early childhood classrooms. Strengthening teacher capacity through such training is expected to continue sustainably to support the development of contextual and progressive art education in the archipelago region. Abstract

Gizi kurang merupakan suatu kondisi berat badan menurut umur (BB/U) yang tidak sesuai dengan usia yang seharusnya. Kondisi balita gizi kurang akan rentan terjadi pada balita usia 2-5 tahun karena balita sudah menerapkan pola makan seperti makanan keluarga dengan tingkat aktivitas fisik yang tinggi. Gizi kurang secara cepat harus segera ditangani, apabila tidak segera ditangani akan menjadi masalah baru yaitu menambah prevalensi gizi buruk di suatu wilayah. Skrining gizi dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi responden yang berisiko, tidak berisiko malnutrisi atau kondisi khusus. Bila hasil skrining gizi menunjukkan responden berisiko malnutrisi, maka dilakukan pengkajian/assesment gizi dan dilanjutkan denganlangkah-langkah proses asuhan gizi terstandar oleh ahli gizi/dietisien. Abstract

Pelaksanaan PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi kewirausahaan berbasis ekonomi kreatif pada guru dan siswa di Pulau Pinang. Metode kegiatan PKM ini dimulai dengan tahap persiapan, meliputi koordinasi dengan pihak sekolah, pengumpulan data awal terkait potensi dan kebutuhan guru serta siswa, serta penyusunan modul dan materi pelatihan yang relevan. Tahap identifikasi permasalahan dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan diskusi kelompok untuk mengetahui tingkat literasi kewirausahaan, potensi kreativitas siswa, kendala dalam pembelajaran, serta kurangnya kemitraan dengan pelaku industri kreatif lokal. Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan mencakup pelatihan literasi kewirausahaan bagi guru dan siswa, workshop praktik pengembangan produk kreatif, serta pendampingan dalam branding, packaging, dan pemasaran digital. Guru dibimbing untuk mengintegrasikan pembelajaran berbasis proyek, sedangkan siswa diajak menghasilkan produk kreatif yang memiliki nilai jual dan berpotensi dipasarkan. Kegiatan ini juga difokuskan pada penguatan jejaring dengan pelaku industri kreatif lokal untuk memberikan pengalaman praktik nyata dan membuka peluang kolaborasi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, observasi keterampilan siswa, penilaian kualitas produk, serta refleksi guru terhadap metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru dan keterampilan siswa dalam ekonomi kreatif, serta kemampuan siswa menghasilkan produk kreatif bernilai jual. Tahap lanjutan yang direncanakan mencakup pendampingan berkelanjutan, pengembangan unit usaha kreatif di sekolah, optimalisasi pemasaran digital, serta monitoring dan evaluasi rutin untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dan dampak positif PKM bagi pengembangan kreativitas dan jiwa kewirausahaan peserta didik.

Abstract

Critical thinking ability is one of the important competencies that must be developed in mathematics learning, especially in linear programming material that requires logical analysis and decision making. This research is important to conduct because the critical thinking ability of students in schools still tends to be low and requires more effective learning strategies to improve it. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) and Problem Solving learning models in improving students' critical thinking abilities. The study used a quantitative approach with a posttest only control group design in a quasi-experimental experiment. The study population was all grade XI students of SMAN 8 Takalar, with a sample of 62 students divided into two experimental classes, each with 31 students. The research instrument was a critical thinking ability test. The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups (t count = 6.061 > t table = 2.01). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the critical thinking ability of students taught using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model and the Problem Solving model. Based on the average posttest score, students in the CPS class achieved higher results than those in the class using the Problem Solving model, thus it can be stated that the CPS model is more effective in improving students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The implication of this finding is that teachers are advised to apply the CPS model as an alternative learning strategy to improve the quality of students' understanding and critical thinking skills. This study contributes by providing empirical evidence regarding the advantages of CPS in mathematics learning, especially in the context of linear programming material.

Abstract

Trichomes play a role in protecting plants from herbivores and pathogens, and their formation can be influenced by nutrient availability and environmental factors. This study examined the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the development of leaf trichomes in cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens) grown on ultisol soil in Tarakan, Indonesia. The experiment used a completely randomized design with seven fertilization treatments: control (P0), NPK (P1), and POC at concentrations of 5–15 g/L (P2–P6), each replicated four times. Leaf samples collected 45 days after transplanting were cleared, stained, and observed microscopically. Several types of trichomes were identified, with non-glandular forms observed more frequently than glandular ones, mainly located along the abaxial midrib and veins. Variation in trichome number and form appeared to increase in plants treated with higher POC concentrations (10–15 g/L). Occasional fungal structures were noted on some leaf surfaces, coinciding with the presence of glandular trichomes. These observations suggest that POC application may influence trichome development in cayenne pepper under field conditions, providing preliminary morphological information relevant to organic fertilization practices on marginal soils.

Abstract

Acute otitis media (AOM) is an inflammation of part or all of the middle ear mucosa, including the eustachian tube, mastoid antrum, and mastoid cells, occurring within less than three weeks, accompanied by local symptoms such as fever, pain, reduced hearing, and discharge. Several diseases that are risk factors for AOM include a history of upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) and allergic rhinitis. This study aims to determine the relationship between URTI and allergic rhinitis with AOM at the ENT-KL Polyclinic of RSUDZA Banda Aceh from January 2022 to December 2023. This observational analytical research employs a cross-sectional design. The study utilized medical record data with total sampling techniques, resulting in a sample size of 2.178 people. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test. The results indicated that 227 people (10,4%) experienced AOM, 448 people (20,6%) had URTI and 225 people (10,3%) had allergic rhinitis. The age characteristics of patients with the most ear disorders was 55-64 years, namely 409 people (18.8%), and the dominant gender was female, namely 1175 people (32.9%). The Chi-square test results for URTI and AOM showed a p-value of 0.033 (PR=1.35, 95% CI 1.02-1.79), indicating that there is a relationship between URTI and AOM. Similarly, the Chi-results for allergic rhinitis with AOM yielded a p-value of <0.001 (PR=2.26, 95% CI 1.69-3.02), suggesting a relationship between allergic rhinitis and AOM. It can be concluded that patients with URTI are approximately 1,35 times more likely to suffer from AOM, while patients with allergic rhinitis are about 2,26 times more likely to develop AOM.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan bagi guru TK dan SD Kelas Awal terkait dengan masa transisi anak dari TK ke SD sehingga pembelajaran di kelas Awal dapat menyenangkan bagi anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap evaluasi dan pelaporan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung kebijakan transisi PAUD ke SD serta meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di masa transisi. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman mengenai masa transisi, penguasaan dan kemampuan merancang program transisi. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan pemahaman guru terhadap masa transisi meningkat secara signifikan. Sebanyak 85% guru menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik terkait masa transisi anak, dan 87% mampu menguasai materi mengenai pemberian program transisi. Bahkan, 88% guru menunjukkan kemampuan dalam merancang program yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak di masa transisi. Dari pelatihan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis partisipatif mampu mendorong transformasi praktik pembelajaran pada guru TK dan SD kelas awal dalam mendukung masa transisi PAUD-SD.

Abstract

Pembelajaran ekonomi di SMA Istiqlal Deli Tua masih menggunakan model konvensional yang monoton, sehingga diperlukan inovasi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran example non example terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa kelas XI SMA Istiqlal Deli Tua pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan ekonomi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 2 yang berjumlah 32 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 soal yang telah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, daya beda, tingkat kesukaran, dan efektivitas pengecoh. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t, dan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai t hitung (3,74) > t tabel (1,99), yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran example non example terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa. Nilai multiple R sebesar 0,97 menunjukkan korelasi sangat kuat antara variabel model pembelajaran dan hasil belajar. Nilai adjusted R square sebesar 0,939 menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran example non example memberikan kontribusi sebesar 93,9% terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa, sedangkan 6,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran example non example berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa kelas XI SMA Istiqlal Deli Tua.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Dahlia dalam pengelolaan pekarangan untuk mendukung ketahanan pangan keluarga di Kelurahan Juata Permai, Kota Tarakan. Permasalahan utama mitra meliputi keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan budidaya hortikultura, khususnya pada pembibitan, penyiapan media tanam, dan pemanfaatan teknologi lahan sempit. Program dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) melalui tahapan identifikasi aset dan kebutuhan, penyuluhan, pelatihan berbasis praktik (learning by doing), pendampingan dosen dan mahasiswa, serta evaluasi partisipatif. Kegiatan difokuskan pada budidaya sayuran hortikultura melalui sistem hidroponik dan media polybag. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kompetensi anggota KWT, dengan rata-rata skor pengetahuan dan keterampilan meningkat dari sekitar 40% menjadi 80%. Selain peningkatan kapasitas teknis, kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan motivasi, kepercayaan diri, dan partisipasi kelompok dalam pemanfaatan pekarangan secara produktif. Program ini berkontribusi pada penguatan kemandirian pangan keluarga serta pemberdayaan perempuan melalui pengelolaan pertanian pekarangan berkelanjutan di wilayah perkotaan. Abstract: This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of the Dahlia Women Farmers Group (KWT) in managing home gardens to support household food security in Juata Permai Subdistrict, Tarakan City. The main problems faced by the group included limited knowledge and technical skills in horticultural cultivation, particularly in seedling preparation, growing media management, and the application of small-scale cultivation technologies. The program was implemented using an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through stages of asset and needs identification, counseling, hands-on training (learning by doing), mentoring involving lecturers and students, and participatory evaluation. Activities focused on horticultural crop cultivation using hydroponic systems and polybag media. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants’ competencies, with average knowledge and skill scores increasing from approximately 40% before the program to 80% after the intervention. In addition to technical capacity building, the program also enhanced participants’ motivation, self-confidence, and group participation in utilizing home gardens productively. Overall, this activity contributed to strengthening household food independence and empowering women through sustainable urban home garden management.
