Abstract

The phenomenon of time constraints among individuals with high activity intensity reveals a gap between spiritual needs and access to da’wah. Full-time workers, full-day students, and highly mobile urban communities often experience physical fatigue and psychological pressure that limit participation in conventional da’wah forums. These conditions require a more adaptive, contextual, and experience-oriented approach to da’wah communication. This study aims to formulate an Adaptive Da’wah Communication Model as a conceptual framework responsive to the realities of contemporary society characterized by high activity intensity. Employing a qualitative approach through library research and thematic-constructive analysis within the perspective of da’wah communication, data were derived from scholarly literature in the fields of da’wah, communication, digital media, and social transformation. The findings indicate that the Adaptive Da’wah Communication Model is structured upon six core elements: (1) the existential condition of mad’u, (2) activity-based segmentation, (3) psychological message adjustment, (4) micro-content utilization, (5) digital media transformation, and (6) on-demand accessibility. The model is operationalized through a six-stage cyclical process, ranging from identifying the condition of mad’u to evaluating audience responses. This model enables da’wah communication to remain relevant, flexible, and effective within time-constrained and high-pressure social environments. The study contributes theoretically to the development of a more contextual, adaptive, and responsive framework in da’wah communication studies.

Abstract

This community service project aims to address the absence of structured and reliable accounting recording system in Zahrabomba, a micro-scale culinary business specializing in donuts and bomboloni. The lack of systematic documentation had caused difficulties in monitoring inventory, calculating production costs, and generating accurate financial reports, which in turn limited the owner’s ability to make informed business decisions. To resolve this issue, the project adopted a participatory approach involving direct observation, interviews, needs assessment, and system design tailored to the business’s operational characteristics. The intervention resulted in the development of an integrated accounting recording system covering chart of accounts, standardized transaction forms, procedures for inventory usage, sales recording, expense recognition, and the preparation of simple financial reports. The implementation of the system improved the accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial information, enabling the owner to better evaluate profitability and manage resources. This project provides new insights into the importance of practical, easy-to-use accounting tools for micro culinary enterprises that often lack formal financial literacy. Future initiatives are recommended to include the digitalization of the system, training in basic financial analysis, and periodic evaluation to ensure long-term sustainability of the accounting practices.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors and Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) on financial performance and their effects on stock returns within the ASEAN banking industry. The impetus for this study arises from the growing emphasis on sustainability in the financial sector and the difficulties presented by credit risk, both of which are vital elements influencing bank performance and appeal to investors. The study population consists of banking institutions from five ASEAN nations—Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines—over the period of 2021–2023. A total of 102 valid observations were gathered through purposive sampling following the outlier examination. The variables analyzed consist of ESG, NPL, financial performance assessed by Return on Assets (ROA), and stock returns, all obtained from Bloomberg. Analysis was conducted with SmartPLS software. The results show that ESG has a positive and significant effect on both financial performance and stock returns, whereas NPLs have a negative and significant effect on these results. Conversely, stock returns are not notably influenced by financial performance. These findings indicate that ASEAN investors prioritize factors beyond profitability, emphasizing the significance of sustainability practices, effective governance, and management of credit risk. This study adds to the existing literature by supporting stakeholder theory, which asserts that the success of a corporation depends on harmonizing the interests of all stakeholders. The results urge banks to strengthen ESG practices and refine credit risk management to enhance performance and sustain investor trust in the capital markets.

Abstract

Children marriage has become a serious problem and has broad impacts socially, economically, educationally, on health and community welfare. The collaborative governance perspective is used as an alternative solution that can solve public problems with the involvement of multiple stakeholders, not just the government. This research aims to analyze the prevention of child marriage with a collaborative governance perspective to find alternative solutions that are applicable to all stakeholders involved. This research uses qualitative methods with interactive data analysis techniques. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observation, documentation and FGD with relevant stakeholders. The research results show that in Sumenep Regency there have been collaborative efforts to prevent child marriage through various activities such as socialization, education and mentoring. Collaborative governance still needs to be improved in order to produce integrated collaborative actions that can reduce the number of child marriages. An approach based on local wisdom is also important to prevent child marriage in Sumenep Regency.

Abstract

The growth of Sharia-compliant crypto assets has prompted the need for an empirical study on the feasibility of Islamic Coin (ISLM) as a Sharia-compliant investment instrument. This study aims to analyze the performance of Islamic Coin (ISLM) as a Sharia-compliant investment asset through risk-adjusted return measurements, volatility forecasting, and a normative review of Sharia compliance and regulations. The study employed a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. The quantitative analysis utilized daily time series data for the period December 2023–October 2025 using the Sharpe index, independent t-test, and the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model. The qualitative analysis employed a normative-juridical approach based on fatwas, maqasid al-shariah, and the Sharia governance framework. The results show that Islamic Coin (ISLM) has the highest Sharpe value compared to Sharia-compliant stocks and gold, indicating a potentially better return relative to risk. However, statistical difference tests showed no significant difference between the three instruments, so ISLM's superiority is relative and not supported inferentially. The ARIMA (7,1,0) model produced a good level of forecasting accuracy with a MAPE value of 3.06%, although high volatility indicates persistent speculative risk. From a normative perspective, Islamic Coin (ISLM) has the potential to conditionally comply with Sharia principles as long as it meets the transparency, underlying asset, and adequate Sharia governance aspects. This study concludes that Islamic Coin (ISLM) is more appropriately positioned as a complementary instrument (satellite asset) in a Sharia portfolio rather than as a superior investment asset, with its suitability determined by risk management and the integrity of Sharia governance.

Abstract

The application of integrated quality management principles (TQM) is vital to ensure that every stage of education, from input, process, to output, meets the established quality standards. SMK Negeri 4 Samarinda is one of the vocational schools in Samarinda city that plays an important role in producing ready-to-use middle-level workforce. This study aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of TQM principles and provide strategic recommendations to assist the school in improving its management system comprehensively. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of understanding and deeply describing the application of the process approach principles in integrated quality management at SMK Negeri 4 Samarinda. The results indicate that the implementation of this principle is still not optimal in various aspects. Teacher involvement in the development of quality programs is dominated by passive participation, with only about 20% of teachers actively engaged. Similarly, the realization of the teaching factory program and industrial practice has not been fully equitable, with only 68% of students gaining experience in the teaching factory and 60% of the practice facilities deemed adequate. These findings reflect the incomplete implementation of the process approach in the planning and execution of quality-based learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of leverage and company size as moderating variables on the relationship between ESG Risk Rating and ownership concentration on firm value. This research is included in the type of quantitative research and uses companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and have an ESG Rating value by Morningstar Sustainalytics. This research method uses linear regression in calculating the effect of independent variables (ESG Risk Rating, and ownership concentration) moderated by Leverage, and Firm Size variables on the dependent variable (Tobin's Q). The results found that the impact of firm size and leverage on the moderation of ESG score with firm value and the moderation of ownership concentration with firm value is not uniform. Specifically, leverage exerts a more substantial effect as a moderator between ESG risk score and ownership concentration and firm value than firm size.

Abstract

Sumenep Regency, one of the regencies on Madura Island with the greatest tourism potential, continues to make efforts to preserve and develop local tourist attractions, one of which is the Sumenep Palace Museum. One of the targets of the Government of Sumenep Regency, which is included annually in the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), is the development of the Sumenep Palace Museum, referring to Law Number 11 of 2010 concerning Cultural Heritage, which emphasizes that museums are cultural heritage assets that must be preserved and developed. As a derivative regulation, Regional Regulation of Sumenep Regency Number 4 of 2018 concerning the Tourism Development Master Plan (RIPPARKAB) states that cultural heritage objects are part of the tourism destination development pillar and emphasizes that the existence of the Sumenep Palace Museum must be properly maintained and preserved. This study aims to identify sustainable tourism development options based on cultural heritage in Sumenep Regency. The method used in this study includes the collection and analysis of secondary data from various related sources, such as books, journal articles, government reports, and policy documents discussing cultural preservation and sustainable tourism. According to the research findings, Sumenep Regency can create sustainable cultural heritage-based tourism by implementing several important initiatives. First, cooperation between local governments, local communities, and tourism sector stakeholders is required to protect and preserve cultural assets. This collaboration is essential to ensure that tourism can develop without sacrificing existing cultural values. Second, greater emphasis is needed on educating visitors about the importance of local culture so that they not only enjoy but also appreciate and support the preservation of local culture. Third, there is a need for diversification of cultural heritage-based tourism offerings in order to highlight lesser-known local cultural potentials beyond the most famous tourist destinations. By implementing these methods, the cultural heritage-based tourism industry in Sumenep Regency is expected to develop sustainably and provide benefits to local communities in terms of economic, social, and environmental aspects.
