Abstract

Dukungan sosial merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam membangun resiliensi akademik, terutama pada santri baru yang menghadapi transisi kehidupan di lingkungan pesantren. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dukungan sosial terhadap resiliensi akademik pada santri baru di Insan Cendekia Boarding School Payakumbuh. Pendekatan studi kasus digunakan dengan melibatkan 6 santri baru sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam tentang persepsi dukungan sosial dan tingkat resiliensi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial dari keluarga, teman sebaya, dan guru memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam membantu santri mengatasi tantangan akademik dan adaptasi lingkungan baru. Dukungan emosional dari keluarga menjadi dasar yang memperkuat rasa percaya diri santri, sementara bimbingan dari guru dan interaksi positif dengan teman sebaya membantu mereka menghadapi tekanan akademik dan sosial. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa santri dengan tingkat dukungan sosial yang lebih tinggi cenderung memiliki kemampuan lebih baik dalam mengelola stres dan mempertahankan motivasi belajar.

Abstract

Fear of missing out (FoMO) is a psychological phenomenon that arises when someone feels anxious or worried about missing out on information or experiences that others have, especially those shared through social media. The population in this study were adolescent social media users in Padang City. This research is a preliminary study using descriptive quantitative to reveal the description of fear of missing out (FoMO) in adolescent social media users. The data collection technique was carried out through the ONFoMO scale which was distributed via google forms and selected using purposive sampling technique. Samples that fit the specified criteria were 272 samples. The results showed that most respondents were aged 17-21 years (84%) with the majority of female gender (60%). The duration of social media use is mostly in the range of 1-5 hours per day (70%) with WhatsApp as the social media that is entirely owned by teenagers. The results showed that almost half of the adolescents (35.7%) were at a high level of FoMO with aspects such as anxiety, the need to be accepted and popular, and social media addiction playing a significant role in influencing fear of missing out (FoMO). This study shows that the phenomenon of high FoMO among adolescents is related to patterns of intensive social media use. This study is expected to provide an overview for related parties in designing interventions to manage social media use among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of the family in the formation of identity and self-acceptance of LGBT individuals, as well as its impact on behavior and mental health. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study on a respondent in city X. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The results of the study indicate that lack of family attention and support, as well as negative influences from the social environment, including the use of the Grindr application, contribute to deviant behavior. Family disharmony, lack of role models from parents, and lack of early sex education are also identified as contributing factors. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of the family in shaping character, mentality, and mindset, especially related to sexuality, as well as the need for early sex education to prevent deviant behavior.

Abstract

Resilience refers to the ability of an individual or group to adapt, survive, and bounce back from difficult or challenging situations. In a world full of uncertainty, resilience becomes a very important quality to ensure survival and mental well-being. This article discusses the concept of resilience as the ability to manage stress, overcome adversity, and adapt to change, both on an individual and social scale. Resilience is not only related to physical or mental strength, but also to external factors such as social support, a supportive environment, and the capacity for positive thinking. In a social context, resilience also involves the capacity to work together, build support networks, and develop skills that can help individuals and groups to remain strong in the face of crisis.

Abstract

This research examines the application of differentiated learning to the implementation of classical guidance services in an effort to increase student learning motivation in the classroom. Learning motivation is an important factor that influences students' active participation, persistence and academic achievement. However, many students experience low motivation to learn, which can be caused by internal factors such as low interest and self-confidence, as well as external factors such as unattractive teaching methods and a learning environment that is not conducive. The differentiated learning model is an approach that emphasizes the use of different learning strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of each individual student. This approach states that each student has different or unique learning readiness, interests and learning styles, in this case involving three components, namely content, processes and products in the learning environment so that effective learning must be responsive to these differences. This study examines the application of differentiated learning models in the context of classical guidance. The aim of the research is to analyze the application of differentiated learning models in increasing students' diverse learning motivation. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research involved classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and analysis of learning documents. The research results show that the application of the differentiated learning model in classical guidance contributes positively to increasing student learning motivation, which is reflected in increased motivation, active participation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research examines how an individual's level of self-control can influence their behavior on Instagram, as well as how this behavior contributes to the emergence of conflict, both with themselves and with others. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and observations involving students from various backgrounds. Research results show that individuals with high self-control tend to experience less conflict, both in social and emotional contexts. Conversely, a lack of self-control can cause tension in interpersonal relationships and negatively impact mental well-being. It is hoped that these results will help mental health practitioners and Instagram users understand the dynamics of social media use and the importance of self-control.

Abstract

Drug abuse at the Intitusi Penerima Wajib Lapor (IPWL) Mercusuar Foundation Pekanbaru City. Group guidance can help adolescents to understand that they are not alone in facing problems and can get support from others who experience the same problems. From the results of survey observations that researchers conducted, it was found that drug abuse was by adolescents aged 17-21 years. This research aims to find out how the implementation of group guidance in developing self-confidence in adolescents who abuse drugs at the Mercusuar Foundation Recipient Institution (IPWL) Pekanbaru City. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive research methods, descriptive methods are research that seeks to describe phenomena that occur in a real, realistic, actual, real way. Data is taken directly from the field through interviews with 2 addiction counselors and 3 drug abuse adolescents. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that group guidance is effective in helping adolescents to overcome drug addiction problems by increasing self-confidence, social support, and strengthening relationships between group members at the Intitusi Penerima Wajib Lapor (IPWL) Mercusuar Foundation Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

Game addiction among Indonesian students are increasing increase and cause impact significant to performance academics, mental health, and interactions social. Research This aiming for explore role Guidance and Counseling (BK) in handle game addiction in students, as well as identify strategies that can applied for reduce problem this. Based on the data obtained from the Padang City Education Office, around 25% of students at the elementary school level school intermediate first and top experience game addiction with duration more from four hours per day, which is related with decline performance academic, disturbance sleep, and improvement anxiety. Research This use approach qualitative with studies literature for analyze the role of BK in give intervention through various strategies, such as counseling. Findings show that interventions involving​ assessment beginning, approach based on motivation, and support social from parents and schools​ can help student overcome game addiction and increase quality life they. Research this also emphasizes importance involvement together between BK, parents, and school in create supportive environment​ change positive on students. It is hoped that the results study This can give outlook for practitioner education in design a more program effective for overcome game addiction among student.

Abstract

Investigating the use of interactive multimedia with Macromedia Flash 8 in scientific education for fifth-grade elementary school students was the aim of this project. Quantitative and experimental methods were employed. The initial identification's findings demonstrated that students' low learning outcomes were caused by a lack of motivation, limited learning times, and the use of dull media. The researcher proposed Macromedia Flash 8 as an interactive learning tool to address this issue. All fifth-grade students from Gugus III Palembayan participated in this survey. A straightforward random sample method was applied for this investigation. The grade V experimental class was SDN 01 Pasar Palembayan, while the control group was SDN 18 Koto Tinggi. According to the data, the control group averaged 71.58 on the posttest, but the experimental group had a higher average of 81.18. Following the hypothesis's testing, the data analysis revealed a substantial Macromedia Flash 8 compared to those who used traditional media. Ha is acceptable since the p value (Sig) <0.05 was found to be 0.013. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki penggunaan multimedia interaktif dengan Macromedia Flash 8 dalam pembelajaran IPAS untuk siswa di kelas V sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimental. Hasil identifikasi awal menunjukkan bahwa waktu pembelajaran yang singkat, penggunaan media yang tidak menarik, dan kurangnya motivasi belajar adalah penyebab hasil belajar yang buruk siswa. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, peneliti menawarkan Macromedia Flash 8 sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini melibatkan semua siswa kelas V dari Gugus III Kecamatan Palembayan. Untuk penelitian ini, teknik simple random sampling digunakan. SDN 01 Pasar Palembayan adalah kelas eksperimen kelas V dan SDN 18 Koto Tinggi adalah kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki rata-rata posttest yang lebih tinggi, yaitu 81,18, sementara kelas kontrol memiliki rata-rata sebesar 71.58. Setelah pengujian hipotesis, hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan setelah menggunakan Macromedia Flash 8 dibuktikan dengan nilai p (Sig) < 0,05 diperoleh 0,013 yang berarti Ha diterima. Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of using Kahoot-based learning media on student motivation in the subjects of Science and Social Studies (IPAS) in fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employs a quantitative method with an experimental approach, where the researcher applies different treatments between the experimental group using Kahoot and the control group using traditional teaching methods. The sample consists of 20 students randomly selected using the Random Sampling technique. Data were collected through pretests and posttests to assess the change in student motivation after participating in the learning process with Kahoot media. The results showed an average posttest score of 78.4 for the experimental group, while the control group had an average score of 74.4. Hypothesis testing using the t-test revealed a significant difference between the two groups, indicating that the use of Kahoot in the learning process can enhance student motivation. Based on the findings, it is concluded that Kahoot-based learning media is effective in increasing student motivation and can be used in elementary school education to create a more engaging and enjoyable learning experience. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Kahoot terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen, di mana peneliti memberikan perlakuan berbeda antara kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan Kahoot dan kelompok kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran tradisional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 20 siswa yang dipilih secara acak menggunakan teknik Random Sampling. Data diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest untuk menilai perubahan motivasi belajar siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan media Kahoot. Hasil penelitian membuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata posttest kelompok eksperimen sebesar 78,4 sedangkan pada kelomok kontrol sebesar 74,4. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok, yang mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan Kahoot dalam proses pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Kahoot efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan.
