Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has emerged as an innovative educational approach that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This study explores the impact of PjBL on students' learning experiences, particularly in real-world engagement, collaborative teamwork, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. Findings from interviews with multiple informants highlight that PjBL provides students with new experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting, allowing them to engage directly with the school environment. Through collaborative projects, students develop interpersonal skills, enhance communication, and strengthen teamwork. Additionally, PjBL fosters adaptability and problem-solving abilities, equipping students with essential 21st-century competencies. These results align with the theoretical perspectives of Krajcik & Blumenfeld (2006) and Blumenfeld et al. (1991), which emphasize the significance of experiential learning and social interaction in deepening students’ understanding. Overall, PjBL offers a transformative learning experience by making education more meaningful, engaging, and relevant to real-world challenges

Abstract

Bullying remains a persistent problem in schools, and deficits in emotional processing may contribute to perpetration. Adolescents with high levels of alexithymia often have difficulty identifying and describing their emotions and interpreting others’ affective cues, which may undermine empathy and increase the risk of harmful interpersonal behavior. This study evaluated the effectiveness of reality therapy–based group counseling in reducing alexithymia among adolescent bullying perpetrators. Using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design, 18 students from a state vocational high school in Padang were recruited via purposive sampling and allocated to an experimental group (n = 9) or a control group (n = 9). Alexithymia was assessed using a Likert-type scale administered before and after the intervention. Within-group changes were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and between-group differences were examined using the Mann–Whitney U test. The results showed a significant reduction in alexithymia in the experimental group following reality therapy–based group counseling (Z = −2.666, p = .008). In addition, posttest alexithymia scores differed significantly between the experimental and control groups (U = 1.500, p = .001), indicating that reality therapy–based group counseling was more effective than standard group counseling in reducing alexithymia among adolescent bullying perpetrators.

Abstract

The School Field Introduction Program (PLP) II is a strategic phase in preparing prospective professional teachers while strengthening university–school partnerships. At UPT SMAN 6 Sidrap, PLP II was implemented from 1 October to 30 November 2025 by a field supervising lecturer and four students from Indonesian Language Education and English Language Education study programs. The activities focused on activity-based language learning assistance oriented toward higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in grade XI and XII classes. Together with mentor teachers, the students designed and implemented lessons on descriptive text, exposition text, hikayat, and pantun through role play, debates, game-based learning, writing tasks, and the use of video media. Data were collected through classroom observations, daily activity logs, reflective notes, and documentation, then analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results indicate that varied activity-based strategies increased student engagement and fostered the abilities to analyze, evaluate, and create in language learning, in line with HOTS characteristics. At the same time, the students gained authentic experience in designing learning tools, managing classrooms, and conducting reflection, thereby strengthening their pedagogical competence. These findings suggest that PLP II can be developed as a community service model based on school–university partnership to enhance language learning at the senior high school level.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has created both opportunities and challenges for Information Technology graduates, particularly regarding their work readiness in facing industry demands. This study aims to analyze the determinants of technopreneurship, work motivation, and digital literacy on the work readiness of Information Technology students in private universities in Jambi Province. Using a quantitative survey approach, data were collected from 307 active IT students selected through proportional random sampling. Data were gathered using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) via SmartPLS 4.1.14. The findings reveal that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on students' work readiness, with digital literacy emerging as the strongest determinant (β = 0.341, p < 0.05), followed by technopreneurship (β = 0.312, p < 0.05) and work motivation (β = 0.278, p < 0.05). The model's R² value of 0.67 indicates that 67% of the variance in work readiness is explained by the three predictors. These results highlight the critical role of integrating technopreneurship and digital literacy within higher education curricula to enhance graduate employability in the digital economy era. The practical implication emphasizes the need for project-based learning, startup incubators, and adaptive digital training programs. The originality of this research lies in its simultaneous examination of technopreneurship, work motivation, and digital literacy as predictors of IT students' work readiness within an Indonesian regional higher education context, an area rarely explored in prior studies

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the integration of Islamic character values in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) learning at MA Bumi Sholawat Wates. This research is motivated by the importance of character education in developing students who are not only cognitively superior but also possess good morals, as well as the gap between curriculum objectives and field practice. The approach used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research subjects included Islamic jurisprudence teachers, madrasah principals, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis employed an interactive model encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the integration of Islamic character values, namely discipline, responsibility, honesty, and social awareness, has been systematically implemented through the practice of worship, assignments, teacher role models, and collaborative learning activities. Teachers' strategies include linking Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) material to real life, fostering positive behavior, and providing consistent role models, ensuring that character values are not only cognitively understood but also internalized in students' behavior.
