Abstract

  Social media nowadays has been inevitably used by people in the world. It plays significant roles for human’s society including as the way of marketing and trading of products. The aim of this study was mainly to explore the prospects of using social media in driving and developing women’s entrepreneurship, its challenges and strategies. This present study anchored in a qualitative research. Data were garnered through semi-structured interviews to Indonesian women living in Kudus, Central Java, Indonesia running their online entrepreneurship as the additional job not the main ones. The results of the study revealed that the prospects of using social media cover it is beneficial for women’s entrepreneurship in improving sales and pursuing the innovation in their online business, it offers others to be reseller in a number of products and it allows the women to develop their online entrepreneurship. However, there are a number of challenges of using social media in online entrepreneurship including the emergence of negative comments and complaints about the products from costumers that will lead to decrease the reputation of business, poor connection of internet which may hinder a better business management, and the lack of knowledge about social media and team that can hinder these women entrepreneurs to handle their customers’ inquiries. Some strategies that need to be taken into account in online women’s entrepreneurship cover women entrepreneurs are supposed to upload new and up-to-date products, give best services to customers, collaborate with Shopee application (online shopping platform) in which they will get less risk in online business through its system and increase their innovation through online business class and trainings. The findings of the study offer an implication to the need of being innovative through the use of technology and social media in running online entrepreneurship particularly for women entrepreneurs since its flexibility and benefits as one of the ways to get additional income.

Abstract

Abstract

The UNP Hospitality Center virtual tour application aims to help promote to potential visitors, and as an interactive promotional media. Hospitality Center UNP is an inn located in the Padang State University area and has various types of rooms and meeting facilities. Based on interviews with the UNP Hospitality Center internal parties, the promotions used are still using brochures. This tool only provides a little information to potential visitors about the rooms and facilities, namely only with photos and writing, this makes limited information that can be conveyed because with a brochure prospective visitors can only see one picture of each existing facility. The data collection stage was carried out by the method of interviews and direct observation. The next stage for developing the author's application uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MLDC) method. consists of Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing, and Distribution. The main features of this application are: hospitality profile, panorama list, location, floorplan and usage information. With these main features, it is found that by using the UNP Hospitality Center virtual tour application, it can make it easier to promote to prospective UNP Hospitality Center guests.

Abstract

A survey conducted by PISA released by OECED in 2019 resulted in Indonesia's literacy rate being number 62 out of 70 countries. This means that the reading interest of the Indonesian people is very alarming. Moving on from that, educational institutions play an essential role in implementing literacy programs that increase reading interest. In his assessment, the author has not found the development of the instrument. Developing an assessment instrument in a reading literacy program requires a needs analysis. Needs analysis is used to identify the reading literacy program's objectives and the program's conditions empirically. So that analytical research was conducted to determine the need for instrument development and find solutions for the appropriate literacy program assessment instrument for SMA Kesatuan Bangsa Yogyakarta students. The basis for developing the device is a needs analysis in analyzing using research methods. The method used is a qualitative research method. The data collection technique is observation, interview, and documentation—primary and secondary data sources. Primary data sources are high school students, and secondary data comes from teachers. This method produces a needs analysis for developing instruments to measure literacy programs that occur from what they aspire to. The study results convey that the needs analysis contains the achievements and needs in the preparation of the assessment instrument. Based on the study results, the conclusions obtained are the need to develop an assessment instrument for reading literacy programs as a tool for measuring existing problems. The device is expected to make positive and valuable changes

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a far-reaching impact both directly and indirectly, including milkfish farmers. The enactment of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) and continued with the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) will impact them. The impact can be in the form of psychological stress that can cause a decrease in mood or work passion which has implications for a decrease in their productivity. This study aims to explore how milkfish pond farmers are trying to manage their psychological stress and remain productive during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research method is qualitative by thoroughly investigating and understanding the existing phenomena, starting from data processing, data triangulation, and data analysis. The sample of this research is milkfish pond farmers and policymakers related to milkfish cultivation. The sampling technique used is snowball sampling starting from policymakers to milkfish pond farmers until saturation or similarity of answers is found from the research subjects. The results of this study indicate that milkfish pond farmers experience psychological stress and decreased mood on levels that vary from mild to moderate. However, they are still trying to stay productive during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research implies that the stress level and mood of milkfish farmers and their coping mechanisms to decrease stress levels. The contribution of this research is as basic data for further researchers to develop applied research such as safe interventions to reduce stress levels and improve the mood of milkfish pond farmers.

Abstract

The psychological training and mentoring entitled “Harmony from Within” aimed at improving emotion regulation strategies of adolescents at the Narayan Seva Orphanage, Buleleng-Bali. Participants were 22 adolescents ranging from 16 to 20 years old. The methods included seminar, discussion, presentation, and group work. Based on the evaluation conducted, it was found this activity was rated very well by the participants. In addition, there were also differences in emotion regulation scores among the two strategies, namely cognitive reappraisal and the expressive suppression before and after training. As many as 68% of the participants experienced improvement in implementing cognitive reappraisal strategy, and only 27% of participants were finally able to minimize the implementation of expressive suppression strategy. These results showed that the training and mentoring given could provide benefits for improving cognitive reappraisal strategy, but not in minimizing expressive suppression strategy.Keywords: emotion regulation, cognitive reappraisal, expressive suppression

Abstract

The state must have qualified defence equipment as a means of protecting the state, both threats that come from within and from outside the country. Through defence equipment, the national branding of a country to other countries is used to show its power. For this reason, this study was written to know how the cooperative relationship between Indonesia and France is in the defence sector and how the steps taken by the two countries in increasing cooperation in the defence industry are. Indonesia needs fighter jets to rejuvenate its ageing defence equipment to protect and maintain the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia. The decision to choose the Rafale fighter jet produced by France has been through various considerations and calculations from stakeholders. This is in line with the National Actor Model Decision Making Theory proposed by Graham T. Allison, which analyses the cooperation between Indonesia and France. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis. This method applies to research written sources or literature studies. The data collection technique used is literature study, where the search for data comes from literary writing materials such as books, documents, mass media related to the problem. The results obtained from this study are that the two countries agreed to mutually enhance cooperation in the defence sector, this can be seen by encouraging the transfer of technology and knowledge, and the development of joint production of defence system tools between the two countries. Abstract

Community economic empowerment is an important thing to improve the village economy and also the community so that people who are still said to be poor can be empowered. One program that is expected to be able to move the wheels of the economy, especially the rural economy, is the BUMDes which has been formed in each village, in Rantau Bayur District, Banyuasin Regency. BUMDes was created by the government in an effort to alleviate poverty and improve village economic efforts based on the needs and potentials that exist in the village. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the economic empowerment of rural communities has on poverty alleviation in Rantau Bayur District, Banyuasin Regency. This research is a quantitative approach, using simple random aside with the data collection methods that the authors use are questionnaires (questionnaires) and documentation. The results of instrument testing were conducted on 50 respondents with a total of 33 statement items, it was declared valid and could be used to collect data on the research sample. The population in this study was the entire community of Tebing Abang Village, Rantau Bayur District, Banyuasin Regency, while the research sample amounted to 96 respondents from the Tebing Abang Village community. While the data analysis technique used is the Pearson product-moment correlation analysis technique and the simple linear regression analysis technique using SPSS 23.0. The results of this study indicate that the correlation between community economic empowerment and poverty alleviation is 0.855. Based on the level of reliability, Cronbach alpha is in the "very reliable" category. This shows that there is a very reliable relationship between community economic empowerment and poverty alleviation. In addition, the significant difference between the variables of community economic empowerment (X) and poverty alleviation (Y) is 0.005. Based on the decision rule of the hypothesis, the probability value of 0.05 is greater than or equal to the probability value of sig, or (0.05 0.005), so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant effect. The coefficient of determination of 8.2% means that the influence of community economic empowerment on poverty alleviation is very small, while 91.8% is caused by other factors outside of community economic empowerment.Abstrak: Pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat merupakan suatu hal yang penting untuk meningkatkan perekonomian desa dan juga masyarakat, agar masyarakat yang masih dikatakan miskin dapat terbedayakan. Salah satu program yang diharapkan mampu menggerakan roda perekonomian, khususnya ekonomi pedesaan ialah seperti BUMDes yang sudah terbentuk di masing-masing desa Kecamatan Rantau Bayur Kabupaten Banyuasin. BUMDes dibuat pemerintah dalam upaya mengentaskan kemiskinan, meningkatkan usaha perekonomian desa berdasarkan kebutuhan dan potensi yang ada di desa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui berapa besar pengaruh pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat desa terhadap pengentasan kkemiskinan di Kecamatan Rantau Bayur Kabupaten Banyuasin. Penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, menggunakan simple random samping dengan metode pengumpulan data yang penulis gunakan ialah kuesioner (angket) dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil uji coba instrument yang dilakukan pada 50 responden dengan jumlah 33 item pernyataan dinyatakan valid dan dapat digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pada sampel penelitian. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyarakat Desa Tebing Abang Kecamatan Rantau Bayur Kabupaten Banyuasin, sedangkan sampel penelitian berjumlah 96 responden masyarakat Desa Tebing Abang. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknis analsis korelasi pearson product moment dan teknik analisis regresi liniear sederhana menggunakan SPSS 23.0. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa korelasi antara pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat terhadap pengentasan kemiskinan sebesar 0,855. Berdasaran tingkat keandalan cronbach alpha masuk dalam kategori “sangat andal”. Hal tersebut menunjukkan terjadi hubungan antara pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat sangat andal dengan pengentasan kemiskinan. Selain itu signifikan antara variabel pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat (X) dan pengentasan kemiskinan (Y) adalah sebesar 0,005. Berdasarkan kaidah keputusan dari hipotesis, maka nilai probalitas 0,05 lebih besar atau sama dengan nilai probabilitas sig, atau (0,05 lebih besar dari 0,005), maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan. Nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 8,2% artinya pengaruh pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat terhadap pengentasan kemiskinan sangat kecil, sedangkan 91,8% disebabkan oleh faktor lain di luar pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat.

Abstract

An analysis of blood circulation was used to identify variations of heart rate and to create an early warning system of autonomic dysfunction. The Poincaré plot analyzed blood circulation using photoplethysmography (PPG) signals between non-smokers and smokers in three different indices: SD1, SD2, and SD1 SD2 ratio (SSR). There were twenty subjects separated into non-smoker and smoker groups with sample sizes of 10, respectively. An independent sample t-test to compare the continuous variables. Whereas, the comparison between two groups employed Fisher’s exact test for categorical variables. The result showed that SD1 was found to be considerably lower in the group of smokers (0.03±0.01) than that of the non-smokers (0.06±0.03). Similarly, SSR was recorded at 0.0012±0.0005 and 0.0023±0.0012 for smoking and non-smoking subjects, respectively. As a comparison, SD2 for non-smokers (25.7±0.5) was lower than smokers (27.3±0.4). In conclusion, we revealed that the parameters of Poincaré plots (SD1, SD2, and SSR) exert good performances to significantly differentiate the PPG signals of the group of non-smokers from those of smokers. We also supposed that the method promises to be a suitable method to distinguish the cardiovascular disease group. Therefore, this method can be applied as a part of early detection system of cardiovascular diseases.

Abstract

Antihypertensive therapy requires adherence therapy to achieve therapeutic targets such as controlling blood pressure both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Pharmacists in counseling interventions have been developed in the form of brief Counseling - 5A and SMS reminders. But the relationship between adherence and blood pressure control is still studied and both of them are related to many factors that can affect. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of the level of compliance antihypertensive therapy and control of blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) hypertension patients in outpatient PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul, Yogyakarta who get Brief counseling - 5A and SMS motivation.Patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into 2 groups, the treatment group (n = 30) who received Brief counseling - 5A and SMS motivation, and the control group (n = 30) who received usual care (conventional counseling). Data were collected by interviews using questionnaires compliance of Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS), the value of blood pressure is taken from the medical record. Correlation between level of adherence and blood pressure control have been analyzed using Fisher test. The results showed the treatment group with categories adherent patients (n=25) was increase in blood pressure control by 36.67% compared with the control group of patients adherent category (n=6) only 6.67% that has control of the blood pressure on post study. In contrast to patient with adherent category, who had uncontrolled blood pressure are 46.67% (treatment group) compared to the control group 13.33% on the post study. Patients categories of non-adherent but is having control of blood pressure showed 3.33% (treatment group) and 26.67% (control group) on the post study. Although the rate of compliance in the treatment group was higher than control group on the second visit, but there was no significant relation between the level of compliance and controlling blood pressure both in control group (p=1.000) and intervention group (p=0.622) on the second visit (post). The rate of compliance and blood pressure control of patients with hypertensive was low. There were many factors such as poor of knowledge, drugs side effect, poly pharmacy, which related with level of compliance. There was no correlation between antihypertensive compliance and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients ambulatory PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital, who get Brief counseling 5A and SMS motivation. Therefore it is necessary to do further research to identify factors that influence to improve patients awareness in the management of hypertension.
