Abstract

Social interaction is a key predictor of social psychological wellbeing in the development and retention of social psychological wellbeing, and social interaction is related to identity construction processes, affective belonging, and emotional resilience maintenance. The current qualitative study evaluates how everyday interaction in familial, peer, community, and workplace situations contribute to the psychological well-being or whether it suppresses it. The collection of the data was performed through the in-depth semi-structured interviews with twenty participants, which were complemented by the field notes and observed using the thematic analysis to identify the patterns and relational dynamics that are common. Findings show that positive exchanges bring about emotional affirmation, strengthen self-esteem, and foster the feeling of belonging but displays the negative impact of barriers to well-being social exclusion, conflict, cultural incongruence, and time. As noted repeatedly by the participants, affirmative engagement in the social realm strengthens individual identity and group membership, thus, demonstrating a psychological well-being as an interpersonal construct that is mutually formed during meaningful social interactions. Organizationally, these outcomes support the strategic significance of relational environments, meaning that institutions and societies should emphasize the need to engage in inclusive, participatory and supportive relationships to increase employee engagement, shared cohesiveness, and overall performance. The current research becomes an element of the integration of social psychology and management literature because it shows that the concept of well-being involves more than personal qualities to include social and organizational factors. The practical findings offer practical information to leaders, policy makers, and organizational structure designers, who aim at fostering an environment that helps promote resilience, trust, and human flourishing. Together, this body of study highlights social interaction as both a humanistic and strategic determinant of well-being and its centrality in maintaining identity, belonging and relational harmony.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the manuscriptEthics of Dress of the Dayak Apo-Kayan Peopleby H. F. Tillema (1935) using a philological approach and socio-cultural analysis. In Dayak Apo-Kayan culture, clothing serves not only as bodily protection but also as a social, moral, and spiritual symbol that reflects the community's way of life. The philological examination reveals that the manuscript documents the distinctions in attire between the nobility (parn biu) and commoners (panyin), illustrating the hierarchical social structure and customary values. The socio-cultural analysis demonstrates that every element of the attire, such as the materials, patterns, and accessories, carries symbolic meaning, signifying social status, cultural identity, and the relationship between humans and spiritual as well as customary values. This research affirms that clothing is a form of symbolic communication representing the value system and social norms of the Dayak Apo-Kayan people. The findings contribute to the preservation of local cultural heritage and enrich philological studies by integrating a socio-cultural approach to understand the interconnections between text, symbolism, and the social structure of a traditional community in Kalimantan. Keywords: Philology, Dayak Apo-Kayan, Clothing Symbolism, Social Stratification, Local Culture.

Abstract

When acts of terrorism emerge in a country, they certainly pose a great danger to the security and tranquility of the government and its citizens. Terrorist acts that tend to be inhumane are considered actions that are contrary to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. However, on the other hand, terrorism itself is also considered as a human issue, so when they still hold the status of a suspect, they must also be protected by law and should not be subjected to discriminatory treatment by law enforcement officials handling them, in accordance with the 1945 Constitution, specifically Article 28D. Criminal law also requires the principle of equality before the law for anyone still in the status of a suspect as a guarantee of protection. All countries have limitations, and Indonesia itself prohibits illegal firearms. Terrorism itself is prohibited and carries the heaviest penalty, which is the death penalty, in accordance with Law Number 5 of 2018, which essentially restricts a person's right to live. Because the law states that humans must respect the rights of other humans. However, duty is above all else, so before citizens have the right to various freedoms, they must fulfill their duties according to the existing regulations. So, as a consequence of their actions that often contradict the obligations set by the law, the death penalty is the appropriate measure. Because Indonesia considers the theory of relativism as a limitation of rights, the death penalty should not be regarded as an evil thing.

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the role of Wahana Lingkungan Hidup Indonesia (WALHI) in advocating for the Astra Agro Lestari (AAL) palm oil case in international forums. The AAL palm oil case in Central Sulawesi and West Sulawesi has been in the spotlight due to land grabbing, environmental pollution, and human rights violations against indigenous peoples and local farmers. This study also comprehensively discusses WALHI's strategies in conducting advocacy in international forums. The Transnational Advocacy Networks theoretical framework is used to help analyze the case in this study, with a focus on WALHI's role and strategies in advocating the AAL palm oil case in international forums. Through literature analysis of secondary data and structured interviews as primary data, this study found that WALHI's actions constitute transnational advocacy network practices. In this case, WALHI significantly utilizes its membership in Friends of the Earth International (FoEI) as a means of advocating at international forums, thereby gaining the attention of the United Nations through the publication of Special Rapporteurs. This study concludes that in the AAL palm oil case, WALHI has significantly contributed to advocating for the AAL palm oil case in international forums through its strategy of leveraging its relationships within FoEI. This study contributes to education on the role and strategies employed by NGOs like WALHI in international advocacy practices using the Transnational Advocacy Networks (TANs) theory.

Abstract

The Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) approach is one of the main operational strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce maintenance costs. This article reviews the important role of TPM components, especially the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), in supporting operational performance. The implementation of these systems involves structured data collection and systematic analysis to improve predictive and preventive maintenance. This article also highlights the success factors and obstacles to implementing TPM, PMS, and CMMS, including management commitment, employee training, technology integration, and challenges such as resistance to change and system complexity. The review results show that cross-functional collaboration, a continuous improvement mindset, and the use of advanced technology are the keys to success in optimizing equipment maintenance, reducing downtime, and increasing operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. Across reviewed studies, operational efficiency increased by 12–35% and maintenance costs decreased by 10–30% after adopting TPM, PMS, or CMMS. These findings emphasize the critical role of digital integration and proactive culture in maintenance optimization.
