Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in driving economic growth; however, the increasing level of competition necessitates that business actors adopt effective and appropriate marketing strategies to sustain their competitiveness and achieve long-term success. This study aims to analyse the application of marketing strategies through the STP concept (Segmenting, Targeting, and Positioning) at Batik Krajan DW MSME in Karangploso. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that market segmentation includes batik enthusiasts, government institutions, schools, and tourists, with the main target being batik enthusiasts and government institutions. Positioning is carried out through the unique Batik Kawung Kates motif and involvement within the Hasta Padma batik industrial area. However, the implementation of the STP strategy has not been optimal, as indicated by fluctuating sales, low compliance of civil servants in wearing batik, and intense competition. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for strengthening the marketing strategy through a more optimal STP concept at Batik Krajan DW MSME. Abstract

This study aims to describe the service quality of Nyamilo MSMEs using the SERVQUAL model and to examine its relationship with customer satisfaction and loyalty. A qualitative approach was used through interviews with the owner and three customers who had made more than two purchases, accompanied by observations of online sales activities and documentation from social media. The results show that all five dimensions of SERVQUAL, namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, are well fulfilled. Neat and hygienic packaging, consistent taste, quick response in communication, transparency in the production process, and the ability to customize orders are factors that shape a positive experience for customers. These findings indicate that good service increases satisfaction, which in turn encourages loyalty in the form of repeat purchases and recommendations to others. This study confirms that service quality plays a crucial role in retaining customers for online-based culinary SMEs like Nyamilo.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as a critical component in higher education, especially for management students who are preparing to enter a dynamic business environment. This study investigates the effects of business literacy and networking capability on entrepreneurial motivation among fifth-semester students of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, XYZ University. The research addresses the problem that, despite growing attention to entrepreneurship education, the combined influence of cognitive (business literacy) and social (networking capability) factors on students’ entrepreneurial motivation remains underexplored. Using a quantitative descriptive–correlational method, data were collected from 125 respondents through an online survey and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS version 30. The results show that both business literacy and networking capability have significant positive effects on entrepreneurial motivation, both individually and simultaneously. Among the two predictors, networking capability was found to be the most dominant factor, indicating that strong social relationships and access to professional networks greatly enhance students’ entrepreneurial drive. This study concludes that improving students’ business knowledge and strengthening their networking abilities are essential strategies for fostering entrepreneurial motivation. The findings contribute both theoretically, by integrating cognitive and social perspectives, and practically, by offering insights for designing more effective entrepreneurship education programs. Keywords: Entrepreneurial motivation, business literacy, networking capability.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence (EI) has emerged as a critical psychological resource influencing nurses’ resilience, job satisfaction, and intention to remain in the profession. However, research connecting EI, burnout, and turnover intention among nurses remains fragmented, lacking a comprehensive synthesis of global trends and policy implications. This study aims to map the evolution, thematic structure, and research collaboration patterns of scientific publications on the relationship between emotional intelligence, burnout, and nurses’ turnover intention from 2012 to 2024, using bibliometric analysis as an integrative approach. Data were retrieved from Scopus and Web of Science databases using Boolean search strategies. A total of 528 articles were analyzed using VOSviewer (v1.6.20) and Biblioshiny (R/Bibliometrix) to identify performance indicators, co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, and thematic evolution. The study also assessed the linkage between research trends and public policy development in nursing workforce management. The findings reveal a substantial increase in publications after 2020, primarily driven by the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on nurses’ emotional well-being. Four major thematic clusters were identified: (1) emotional intelligence and resilience, (2) burnout and coping, (3) turnover intention and retention, and (4) health policy and mental well-being. The USA, China, and South Korea emerged as the top contributors, while Frontiers in Psychology and Journal of Nursing Management were the leading publication outlets. Research on EI–burnout–turnover intention has evolved from individual-level psychological inquiry to policy-oriented organizational frameworks. The integration of emotional intelligence into workforce policies and leadership models is crucial for sustaining nursing retention and mental health resilience

Abstract

Café retrorika is one of the cafes located in Batu City, Malang, which adopts a green marketing concept with a unique aesthetic touch, combining the concepts of “Retro” and “Eco-friendly”, where almost all of the café’s furniture and decorations are made from recycled materials, such as old windows, used motorcycle tanks, gas cylinders and rims, which are transformed into high-art decorative elements. Awareness of the importance of sustainable business is growing, including in the culinary sector. Cafes and restaurants now compete not only in terms of taste and service but also in their commitment to environmentally friendly concepts. Moreover, today’s consumers are increasingly selective in choosing places to eat that support local products, use environmentally friendly materials, and strive to reduce plastic waste. This is one of the reasons for building cafes with different concepts, as done by the owner and founder of Retrorika café. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data collection techniques include participant observation, interviews and documentation. The result show that Retrorika café was built based on the personal idealism of its owner as a green movement activist, rather than market calculations. The café’s “Retro” identity serves as physical evidence of sustainability practice through the use of used furniture while also creating a nostalgic experience. Its marketing strategy focuses on education through the Re-dukaci program, Retrorika goes to Halokes and Sa-Si-Su as an effort to prove the authenticity of green practices and mitigate greenwashing. These results can be concluded that the founder’s passion shapes the Green Corporate Identity and becomes a source of sustainable competitive advantage that is difficult to imitate.

Abstract

The Marketing Mix strategy is a combination of various marketing elements that include product, price, distribution place, and promotion. The Marketing Mix strategy, also known as the marketing mix is a concept in marketing that explains four main elements that must be managed in an integrated manner to achieve marketing objectives. In general practice, the using of QRIS is a payment standard using a QR code developed by Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian Payment System Association to simplify and accelerate digital transactions. Through VOSviewer analysis, the implementation of QRIS can have a positive impact on the operations and business performance of MSMEs, and the marketing mix strategy in the context of business digitalization becomes an important approach to maintaining MSME competitiveness. The results of the VOSviewer visual map analysis and the review of previous State of the Art research indicate that most existing studies still focus on aspects of QRIS adoption and transaction efficiency alone. These studies generally highlight how digital payment system is able to improve the speed, security, and convenience of transactions but have not yet widely linked them directly to marketing mix strategies and consumer purchasing decisions. This indicates a research gap in understanding the role of QRIS is not only as a transaction tool but also as part of the marketing strategy that influences consumer behaviour.

Abstract

This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to examine how key dimensions of digital service quality—namely system quality, ease of use, perceived value, and payment availability—shape customer loyalty among Generation Z culinary consumers, with customer satisfaction functioning as the mediating variable. Bibliometric mapping reveals that previous studies have predominantly focused on Millennials and Gen Y and have emphasized traditional service quality rather than digital service performance, indicating a significant research gap in Gen Z–specific digital consumption behavior. The SLR findings show that fast, secure, stable, and user-friendly digital systems strongly influence perceived value and user satisfaction, while the availability of digital payments such as QRIS and e-wallets enhances seamless transactional experiences. Customer satisfaction emerges as the primary psychological mechanism mediating the relationship between digital service quality and Gen Z loyalty, reflected in repeat purchases, positive word of mouth, and emotional attachment to digital culinary platforms. This study contributes theoretically by addressing existing research gaps and proposing a conceptual model of Gen Z loyalty grounded in digital experience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the brand equity strategy and perception of Tomoro Coffee Blimbing based on four main dimensions: brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality, and brand loyalty. A descriptive qualitative approach was used through in-depth interviews with management, baristas, and customers. The data were then analyzed thematically through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Tomoro Coffee's brand awareness is strongly formed through store expansion, social media activities, and a memorable slogan. Brand associations are perceived as modern, aesthetic, and closely related to youth lifestyles, although there is still a conflict between premium and economical images. Regarding quality perceptions, customers value consistent coffee taste and service, but perceived value is still influenced by promotions. Customer loyalty varies, with some indicating repeat visits due to quality, while others rely on promotions and situational needs. This study concludes that Tomoro Coffee's brand equity is quite strong, but needs to be strengthened with perceived value and fostering emotional loyalty. The implications of these findings can inform the development of marketing strategies and brand management in the increasingly competitive coffee shop industry.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of circular economy principles within Safina Quilt, an MSME in Balikpapan that transforms textile waste—such as fabric scraps and discarded clothing—into value-added products. Safina Quilt applies the concepts of reduction, reuse, and upcycling throughout its production processes using quilting techniques, while simultaneously establishing an inclusive supply chain that engages local tailors, individuals with disabilities, and homemakers. This business model not only delivers economic gains by increasing profit margins and expanding market reach but also generates substantial social benefits by empowering vulnerable community groups. Although challenges remain, including limited access to supporting materials, constraints in production capacity, and insufficient digital marketing efforts, Safina Quilt demonstrates how MSMEs can successfully integrate environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Strengthening supply chain mechanisms, enhancing production capabilities, and improving digital marketing strategies are essential for scaling up and ensuring long-term business sustainability.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the social entrepreneurship model applied by Du'Anyam MSMEs in empowering women in remote areas through traditional woven production activities made from palm leaves. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with founders, field managers, and women artisans, as well as observations of production and marketing activities. The results of the study show that Du'Ayam's social entrepreneurship model emphasizes a balance between social, economic, and cultural values through the empowerment of local communities. Du'Anyam is able to integrate social missions in a sustainable business strategy that involves training, community-based production systems, and market penetration through products with modern designs and cultural stories. These findings reinforce that social entrepreneurship can be an effective strategy to realize inclusive development in the MSME sector.
